Selmaina Kamarro From the shadows and pines emerged a tall slim figure, the wind whipping her ink-colored hair in a swirl about her face. The low light glinted off of her amber irises as she strode forward, her face a mask of complete and utter calm. The air around her seemed to thicken as she approached the small group of beings gathered around the ruins of Gambit's, and her eyes narrowed as she scanned over the faces. It had been some time since she'd been in a group this size, and her instincts twitched with apprehension. Her nostrils flared as she sucked in a deep breath and made her way to a slab of cracked stone to sit, and watch. Her eyes closed as she settled on the rock, and she seemed almost like a shadow, her trench coat a pool of black cloth around her.

Selmaina Kamarro shifted on her rock, the corner of her mouth twitching slightly as another patron wandered into the crumbled building. Though it was only a group of five or six, already she could feel her adrenaline shooting anxiously into her bloodstream. She had to fight to keep her lip from curling upward into a disgusted snarl as one yellow eye opened to watch another one enter. She couldn't bear to simply sit here and tolerate these people, when deep in her blackened heart she wanted them all dead.

Selmaina Kamarro looked up, her hands twitching as a sudden wait plopped onto her head. She fought to keep her voice controlled as a small, winged creature struggled about in her hair, "Would you kindly get off of me?" She managed to keep her voice somewhat polite, though it came out as little more than a hiss.

Selmaina Kamarro struggled to keep herself calm and tapped at her leg, "No you may not make a nest in my hair." She reached up and grabbed the impudent little creature by the skirts and lifted it off of her head. With only the slightest glance of disgust flitting over her features, she dropped it gently on the rock beside her.

Selmaina Kamarro winced at the high-pitched tone range in her eardrums. She heaved a sigh and dug into her pocket to pull out a small square of cloth. She presented it to the little...fairy and wiped her sweating hands off on her coat. It had been awhile since she had kept this calm, "Here...you may use this for some sort of home."

Selmaina Kamarro glared down at the kerchief and sighed, her annoyance twitching inside her gut. Careful to avoid the little thing, she picked up the square and began tearing it into long strips until it resembled hair. She dumped the pile at the feet of Cretin and narrowed her eyes, "Well now it is. I haven't got anything else and you are not going to be spending the evening on my head."

Selmaina Kamarro sighed and watched it flit away, her ears twitching as she tried to block out the shrieking. Her hands reached over to sweep the mangled handkerchief onto the ground and neatly folded themselves back into her lap. At least she'd rid herself of the little pest, she wasn't sure just how long she could've taken it's voice without sanpping.

Selmaina Kamarro glanced up at Everto, her eyes impassive and her expression blank, "I suppose it had something to do with the fact that she wanted to nest on my head and I wouldn't allow her to do so. I meant no harm."

Selmaina Kamarro did not respond, merely turned to watch the hulking walrus charge at a hapless little creature. The corners of her mouth twitched as he flew into the rafters and confused the beast. It was amusing, but she could still feel the pinch of her perpetual annoyance flickering in the back of her mind. With any luck it wouldn't blossom into anything more dangerous.

Selmaina Kamarro twitched anxiously in her seat. There was someone here who had a bit of sensing ability. Hopefully though, it would be stupid enough to ignore the papers. She closed her eyes again, feigning sleep, leaned back against her stone, arms crossed, her breath deep and even. If anything, all this excitement was good for her.

Selmaina Kamarro flung open the newly finished door and stalked towards a seat, the air becoming heavy around her tall, slim frame. Her yellow eyes glinted in the low light as she made her way to a half-finished table, every movement unnaturally graceful, every step calculated and cold. She knew she shouldn't have come here, not when her deepest, truest desire was to rip apart every living thing in this room.

Selmaina Kamarro folded her arms and leaned back in the chair, allowing her coat to pool around her legs in a black circle of cloth. There were so man here...so many living, breathing people. She could hear their heartbeats, the breathing. She could smell their arrogance, and some, their fear. Nothing escaped her notice as her half-closed eyes scanned over the patrons.

Selmaina Kamarro ran her tongue over her teeth, wincing as it slid under the points of her abnormally large canines. The concentration of people was beginning to set her on edge. She could feel the familiar pinpricks of annoyance at the back of her head, the familiar restlessness spreading throughout her limbs. If anyone had the gall or stupidity to push her buttons now, they might just find themselves short a few limbs. Her eyes narrowed and she shrank further into her seat, trying hard to ignore the buzz of chatter and high-pitched voices.

Selmaina Kamarro stood outside the tavern, a cigarette hanging from her tight-lipped mouth. She was almost loathe to enter, as she was almost positive that the usual host of idiots was inside. However, she had nowhere else to go.

With a long 'woe is me' sigh, she pushed open the doors and slipped inside, the silver wisps of smoke hovering about her face. Her golden eyes narrowed as she glanced around, sizing up the various patrons.

It would be a rough night indeed. She made her way to an empty seat and sat down, her trench coat pooling gracefully around her legs.

Selmaina Kamarro stood and wandered towards the counter, her boredom finally motivating her to movement. With a quick glance around to make sure that no one important was watching, she hopped over the counter to help herself. As she landed neatly on the other side, the tail of her trench coat slapped the face of a certain Thaddeus, but she paid him no mind an began rummaging around for her favorite drink.

Selmaina Kamarro Her head popped over the head of the counter, ink-colored hair falling haphazardly into her face. She placed a tall bottle of red wine on the counter with a raised eyebrow, "Will this do all right? I'm not sure if it's your style but it is alcoholic."

She placed a hand on her hip as she wrenched the cork from the top with her teeth and poured two glasses. Already, she wasn't sure if she could trust him, with that arrogant smirk and glitter behind his eyes. But she shrugged it off and took a long swig from her glass.

Selmaina Kamarro A flash of apprehension came into her golden irises, but soon disappeared. "Story? I don't have much of one I'm afraid. Normal girl, normal parents, normal family...I suppose I'm rather boring." She gave him a wry half-smile, it wasn't even a small lie...it was a very large one. She curled a hair behind one ear and tipped more wine down her throat. With any luck her tongue wouldn't be loosened much further by the liquor, but with her luck, she'd be spouting secrets within moments.

Selmaina Kamarro Her eyes lowered, and her hair fell in an inky curtain around her. Her hands fidgeted absently with the glass as she studied the patterns on the counter top, "Yes...but I suppose I've lost my ability to trust people these days. Especially strange men who are so willing to begin a conversation." She could feel her face burning with shame as she glared intently at the woodwork. It had been years since she'd made such lengthy conversation, and she was ashamed that she'd let herself be read so easily.

Selmaina Kamarro held up a hand, her mouth hanging open in protest. She hadn't meant to scare him off. "Damn..." the word came out in an angry hiss. How was she supposed to ease herself back into society if she couldn't even hold a decent conversation?
With a sigh, she leaped over the counter, skillfully snatching the bottle and her glass, and landing on the opposite side without spilling a drop. She took a deep breath and sidled over to his table, sitting down with a slight flourish, "I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong idea. I just haven't done this in a while."

Selmaina Kamarro chuckled, a spark of mischief alighting her liquid gold irises, "Not yet, but I can't make any promises." She leaned forward, her coat slipping down to reveal a bare, caramel-colored shoulder. It had been ages since she'd practiced the ancient and skillful art of flirting, and she found that she was enjoying herself immensely. "But I'd say that your chances are fair, considering that I haven't had decent conversation in quite some time either."

Selmaina Kamarro couldn't help but notice that his face was very close, his breath warm on her face. "There are times when I...lose myself and I make choices that are usually regretted later." She shrugged, sending her coat crawling further down her arm. "But I suppose if you did something particularly irritating you might find yourself in a sticky situation." Her mouth opened as she flashed him a white-toothed grin.

Selmaina Kamarro couldn't help but let out a small, musical laugh. One eyebrow arched as she stroked absently at her chin, "And what sort of activity might you be suggesting? I'm afraid you've left this to my imagination, and that, I'm afraid, is quite dangerous on your part." She gave him a wry, suggestive smile. She knew exactly where his mind was traveling, and her head was already swooping in the same direction.

Selmaina Kamarro stretched her neck out for better examination, "Oh really? Well I'm not entirely sure you'd be able to hold onto it for long." She took a sip of wine and rested her chin on one hand. "But that whole bomb and knife-juggling sounds particularly hazardous to your health. I might not have to kill you if you regularly partake in such activities." She smiled loosely, enjoying the pleasant buzz in her head from the alcohol. So much for keeping herself smart for the evening.

Selmaina Kamarro ran a tongue over her teeth, wondering why it felt so heavy, before she answered, "My name's no secret. I doubt anyone's heard of it for years." She held out a hand for him to shake, hoping that this was still the proper way to greet someone, "Selmaina Kamarro. And yourself? I can't very well stare blankly at you instead of using your name."

Selmaina Kamarro swept into the tavern, her trench coat swirling in an inky cloud beind her as she made her way to the bar counter. Her golden eyes flashed around the room, taking in the sights of the patrons and their various antics. A snort forced its way from her lips as she sat upon one of the bar stools and waited for service, it was the usual array of idiots and flirtatious females, nothing to concern herself with.
