Morgan and Linus sat on a bench and spoke quietly to each other, "Another day, and not a single lead." Morgan said, placing a hand on the pommel of his sword. "I'm not even sure why we're out here, we've been looking for the princess for nearly twenty years."

"Nineteen." Linus said, eyeing the tow near the jewelry stand.

"Yes, Nineteen. That is almost twenty." He replied, frowning. "Are you wanting to ask them about the princess? I doubt they'll know much more than the others." He added. Linus stood, and dusted off his armor.

"I doubt you're spirits could get any lower than they are right now. The least I could do is try." He said, walking over to the two. "Pardon me you two, but have you heard anything, maybe in a bar or on the street about a princess, or a woman hailing from a land called Ilena? She'd be about Nineteen." He added, resting his hand on the pommel of his sword.

Morgan watched quietly from his bench, "I'm right, they probably don't know anything." He said to himself. He wasn't feeling like this time would be any different from other times. They would get no leads, and then head home empty handed.

Linus nodded to the young man, and then turned and bowed to the lady, "I understand, thank you though and I wish you best of luck in your travels." He added, turning and heading off. He exhaled sadly, and Morgan grinned at him.

"What did I tell you, Linus. They didn't know anything, did they?" He chuckled, placing his hands on his legs and leaning forward. Linus took a seat next to him, "I just don't understand how someone disappears for nineteen years, she has to be dead." He said, scratching his rather long blonde hair.

The two continued speaking, ruling out places and people as they sat on the stone bench. The two had been searching for a while, and were starting to loose faith that they would find evidence and succeed where other knights had failed.

Morgan looked at Linus like he'd just been stabbed, and Linus grinned at him before turning to the woman, "No, I-I didn't." He said, looking past the woman to the girl that was still looking at the jewelry.

He hadn't noticed much about the girl. He had noticed that she looked rather pretty, but he hadn't dared compare her to the old queen. Morgan leaned over and peered past the woman, "Y-you're right, she does look very similar, but we can't run off of looks alone." He said, returning his gaze to the woman in front of him.

Morgan looked at her for a second, "We'll look into it, I suppose." He said, crossing his arms in front of him. He had indeed heard the rumors from Ayia, but he hadn't thought to believe them. He didn't think the woman was telling the truth, but it was worth checking in on.

Linus stood and handed the woman a satchel of coins, "Thank you for your help in the investigation." He said, smiling at her and bowing respectfully. He stayed standing until she began to leave.

Linus sat back down and Morgan looked over to him, "You daft bugger, you're supposed to save that coin for people that actually have information." He said, shaking his head. "That old hag's about as right as a left turn." He said, tapping his leg armor lightly.

"I don't know, Morgan. The girl looks a lot like the portrait in the castle does." He said, thinking of it. "Strikingly similar." He added, scratching his stubble. He continued watching her, "Let's just keep an eye on her for a while and see where she takes us, eh?" He asked, looking over at his companion.

Morgan eyed him, "Fine. For now." He said, also watching the girl.

As the princess turned and began to approach the knights, they spoke to each other and pretended to not have noticed her when she arrived in front of them. As she came before them they both stood to show respect. "I don't think we need any help." Morgan said, smiling at her. As a matter of fact, her hair did look a little like the old portrait's.

Linus looked at his companion angrily, and then to the princess, "We'd love your help, princess." He said, sweetly. Morgan raised an eyebrow, and then crossed his arms. He thought better of himself and didn't argue with Linus. If they had the girl's help, then they'd probably be more trusted by them and could ahve more chances to compare the princess and the portrait.

Linus and Morgan took a seat after she had sat down, making sure to show as much respect as possible. They didn't want to upset a noble. "She was kidnapped as a child." Linus said, looking over to her, "From Ilena."

Morgan then added, "We have a portrait of her mother. They would look rather similar, no?" He said, looking over to her as well. Morgan was obviously the older of the two.

Linus shook his head, "The King is the only one worried, our queen was murdered when her daughter was taken from her." He said, looking rather sadly. Morgan also looked sadly, and sub-consciously shut out what Linus had just said.

Linus then shook his head, "We don't have the picture with us, but if you accompanied us to the castle in Ilena sometime you could see it." He said, crossing his arms. Morgan nodded in agreement, "We have a large portrait of the queen in the foyer of the castle."

Linus nodded, "I understand, you're father is not fond of people defying his orders." He said, smiling at her. She was strangely polite for an Ayian. Last time he spoke to someone from Ayia, him and Morgan had to kill five people before they could exit the bar. Then again, they could have been drunkards.

Morgan sighed, and looked out at the small fountain that was situated in the center of the plaza. They needed a copy of that portrait.

Linus realized that she had obviously been kept from this sad truth, and attempted to recover, "I apologize, you're father is a wise man and I have no right to judge his rulings." He placed his hand on the pommel of his sword, "Please, forgive me milady." He said, bowing his head to her.

Morgan took no notice of this, and imagined the portrait in the queen next the the girl's face. Could she be the long lost princess? No, it was impossible. He was just excited by the fact that they had gotten any kind of lead at all and he was jumping to conclusions. They needed evidence.

Linus nodded, "Yes, the king is a great man." He said, smiling at her. He looked up at the setting sun, and then to Morgan. Morgan nodded, "We hope to find her soon." He said, before standing and dusting off his armor. Linus did the same.

"It is getting rather late milady, and perhaps you and your escort should return home." He said, resting his hand on the pommel of his blade. Morgan let his arms hang at his sides, and the two faced the Ayians.

Linus nodded, "We have heard of your father's distaste towards us." He said, grinning slightly. "We'd hate to be a nuisance. I'm sure we'll meet again, and we can let you know what we've found regarding the princess." He said, trying to make her feel better about the fact that the knights couldn't accompany them to the castle.

Sir Linus coughed lightly, and opened his eyes. His armor was covered in dirt and mud from his previous engagement. He stood quietly, and sheathed the sword that he had somehow kept a hold of through whatever had pulled him to.. this place. His long blonde hair hung loosely over his face and upon moving them with his hands he began to take in the people around him, and his surroundings. His eyes hurt, and he rubbed them lightly with the leather bottoms of his gloves.

"Wh-where am I?" He pondered, coughing again.

Sir Linus froze, and looked around. He needed to get back to Terra. There had to be a way out. An exit, perhaps. He needed an exit. "I need to get back." He said, taking a step away from the group. "I need to get back!"

Sir Linus took several quick steps back, and then turned and ran. There had to be a way back.

"Verily so," Brishen had been quietly listening from his spot at the bar. The strange woman and stranger cat weren't there when he had awoken that morning, the better for he. However, the rains still pounded down. There was a general air of upset and it didn't take long to find out why.

"They're hanging th'Oracle," Brishen answered the gruff one's inquiry nonchalantly, tipping the rest of his drink down his throat. He loved a good mead.

"An' the weather!" Interjected the woman as she swallowed her pretzel, "An' the storms, an the-" Just then, a young man burst through the door. His hair was a mess, he was soaked to the bone in rain, and he was clearly out of breath.

"Dragon!" The young man shrieked, causing the gentle lute music to come to a screeching halt, and attracting most eyes, "There's a Dragon! I saw a dragon!"

"See?!" The woman incredulously roared, rocketing to a stand and tipping her chair over as she went. The rest of her party erupted in debate.

"Impossible!" "Yeah, right?!" "Told you so!" The young man joined their fray. The group slowly returned to their seating, with the addition of a new conspirator, hashing out theories as to what was going on.

Brishen turned to the newcomer, no believing for a moment that a dragon was sighted, "So yeah, that's about what you've missed, I would assume? I myself am a recent arrival, er...?"

She sipped her raspberry flavored concoction and wondered if the barkeeper had any news for her. Aetheria couldn't remember a time when she wasn't out adventuring, or going on some quests. She took a slender finger and drew the straw to her full lips for another sip. This entire area brought back fun memories, but would she ever experience that again? Her haunting blue eyes gazed at the barkeeper in a child-like wonderment.

Aetheria was happy to see a friendly face. She sipped her raspberry liquor sweet drink and looked Kyren up and down. "Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?" She asked him, genuinely interested. She had her drink refilled and noted that Kyren must be a traveler, not a usual patron from this area. "I'm Aetheria Moonblade. Nice to meet you!" She expressed cheerfully and offered a simple introduction.

Hilariously, Kyren had only just considered offering the woman a drink. Nevertheless, it seemed his rudeness had gotten the better of him yet again, but he wasn't about to let it show.

Two of the usual, on the house!
he demanded, commanding the bartender as if he were a friend.
