She marched into the glen, growing tired as the sun set. But still, it would not break her spirit! But oh how lush the grass was...
Flop! Laying on her back, she stared into the sky. It was a beautiful evening. The clouds were fluffy, the sky was pink! She sighed. Oh how wonderful!

What the hell is that.

There, In...

In the sky.

Spyri placed her hands on her hips, and looked at the girl. With a swing of her hair, her expression burst into a smile.

"Of course," Spyri stated triumphantly, as if it truly was a heroic act. "I had a horse long ago..." She trailed off

Spyri nodded along with Abbie, it was hard keeping yourself.

"I lost everything, pracally, and am one of a couple of people, you know, the last of our culture," she rubbed a toe into the ground as she spoke, letting her arms fall flat at her sides. After a moment, she cast a daring look at Abbie, "But it's ok. I'm gonna set things right!" She gave a small jab at the air. "So whaddabout you?"

Spyri didn't know how to respond to the bow, but blushed and waved a hand.

"Friends....I don't have any of those. Know how it feels...y'know?" She cocked her head sideways.

"Well, I'm nooooooOhhmyGaaaaaaaaaaa?!" Did, just, horse, but, she, did, she? Horse, but? Did? Turn into, just, happen?

Feeling woozy, she swiped her sword from it's sheathe and stabbed it into the ground, holding onto the hilt for support.

Spyri looked up at Abbie from between the hairs that had fallen in her face, and for a moment glared. The glare lasted all of a second, as the horse burst into laughter. Huh? After a moment, Spyri felt a giggle bubble in her own belly.

"And you should see yourself!" She sputtered, before exploding into laughter. This was brilliant! She couldn't believe her eyes.

Spyri was still in a fit of laughter, rolling on the ground at this point, but it was beginning to subside. When it did, she sat up, and yanked her sword from the ground.

"I dunno," another chuckle, as she stood and examined her blade for dirt.

"Shh!" She silenced Abbie as the sound of hooves rang in her ears. Something didn't feel quite right... She turned her blade in the direction of the sound before erupting in action. Looking back at the horse, she eagerly scrambled up, holding her blade aloft and resting a hand between the horses shoulder blades.

"I don't like the sound of that..."

Spyri was scared of this thing, until Abbie spoke up, and then her fear instilled the slightest when he brought the apparent news. However, she sat, and calculated while they talked.

"So ya wanna be responsible for the extinction of not one, but two races?" She waved her sword in his direction, feeling The Brave bloom in her heart, "I dare you to challenge Spyri, Truth Warrior!"

As she spoke her words grew louder and deeper, resonating throughout the Glen. He armor, simultaneously, began to glow in the faintest, as did her sword. Inside she was bubbling, her honey eyes alive with anticipation. This was it! She was being Brave! At last! She continued to aim her sword at the stranger, glaring him down.

As the man dismounted his horse, Spyri slid off of Abbie, sword in hand. The demonic horse was trotting towards them now,and she had but one move she had to make. As he spoke banter, as all villains did, she took a step up lowering her blade in the slightest, and then one to the side so she was in front of Abbie by three feet as it began to run. It was now or never! It lunged, and she sliced, her blade tearing like a laser through the air in an upward arc, she aimed straight for the lunging wolf.

Spyri flopped on the ground, glow fading, exhausted from the random exhaustion of energy she never even knew she had. As her eyelids flickered, she heard faintly the conversation between her friend and the stranger....but barely.

"Can't we just sit in the booth?"

Spyri popped up onto the seat, and kicked her feet with her palms on the table. She looked towards the woman.

"Elderberry Tonic?" she requested, reaching into her side satchel to grab a coin or two. Fishing them out, she snapped them onto the table top and slid them towards the woman.

"Excuse me ma'am," She addressed the woman who sat, drawing her tonic close to her, "Who are you?"

Spyri stuck her tongue out at Abbie, and sipped her juice, hiding a smile. Why were they here? Perhaps Abbie could explain that better than her. After a long sip, she set the drink down and looked towards Rose, but was semi distracted by the man bustling around. With a blink, she focused herself.

"Spyri, The Brave."

"Wait, our?!" Spyri had missed the memo where her soul was on the line. "No fair! Since when? Hey, I've got a civilization to save!" The small child was riled, and slammed her fist on the table. A bit of juice spilled out as the table shook, and she hastily scrambled to grab the goblet before it tipped over.

"I am The Brave.," she said, "And of course I wasn't paying attention to that butt hea-oh," It all clicked suddenly, and she sipped her juice.
"I can't die. I'm The Brave."

Spyri watched as Abbie went to approach the strange rabble rouser, and shook her head no when beckoned. Nope, not gonna get roughed up again today, she thought, sipping her elderberry tonic. Not at least until she was replenished. However she did move a hand to the hilt of her blade, and kept and eye on Abbie and Number 12.

"Why?" She called after Rose, clutching her hilt, then noticed Abbie getting into what looked like trouble across the bar. Oh, hell. Gulping down the last sip of her drink, she slid out from the book, hand on her weapon. Spyri went to stand behind Abbie, and fiercely gazed up at the stranger despite his size compared to hers.

"Problem?"

"Ah," she sized up the idiot, deciding he didn't seem worth it. At least, not worth sticking Resilience into.
"C'mon, Abbie, let's just go wait over there. We don't have time for this," she shot the guy a dirty look. He reminded her of the drunks back in Civilization.

Spyri trudged along, wary not to drag her sword on the ground as she carried it. Fiery hair blazing in the light, expression determined, she stared into the forest. Up, up, up went her gaze, the trees here were quite tall!
And what was that she saw? Her curiosity peaked, Spyri began to approach the tree with...what was that up there?

Staring up, Spyri looked through the branches of the tree. Setting her jaw, the young girl sheathed her blade. Well, she could move along...
Bahhh! Moving along was barely ever an option for the young girl, who had recently discovered her Brave.

"Psssst!" Maintaining what manners she had, "Excuse me!"
