Forces from the Shogunate in Shintenchi had finally arrived, a small line of Tsunami tanks moved along the streets of the abandoned Murasame district of the small town of Yoshiro. Abandoned skyscrapers littered the cityscape as the Tanks moved through the streets, each of them bearing the emblem of the Sato shogunate.

"Target ahead." The Tank Commander hailed as he guided the column's guns on the monsters ahead. The Tank's Yoritomo 8.8cm Cannons swiveling on their turrets to bear. The Commander then grabbed the radio. "Open fire!" He called out, and the Tanks unleashed their ordinance on the monsters, as Soldiers closed in on all sides to neutralize the apparent threat that had somehow crept into the abandoned city.

The rattling of gunfire echoed through the streets, while the Shogun, seated on her throne within the Palace watched the feed.

"Secure the city, send in the King Oni and Rocket Angels if need be." She said to one of her Generals, whom bowed quickly and started out of the room.

Sato slowly stroked her chin, then she went over a handful of reports. "Hmm.' She then pulled up a newspaper printed in Taiyou, and began to quietly read, while part of her attention was diverted to the maelstrom on the screen.

Despite being late to the Palace, Sato ensured this was the right place where Shanthi was located. Flanked on either side were Rocket Angels, almost resembling mechanical powered armored Avorians, but the Asian features betrayed other ethnicity. Sato, completely oblivious to the hostile state with the Taiyou and the Invictus approached the guards. "Konnichiwa." She said, offering a slight respectful nod. "I'm here with Shanthi to meet with your Leader." She said, the pair of Rocket Angels looking to eachother, then back to Sato.

Takara Sato nodded. "Sato Takara, I come from the Nation of Shintenchi, representing the Shintenchi people." She said, the rocket angels behind her looking at each-other again, then back to the man at the front desk.

"I was supposed to be part of her party but I was delayed because of some unforeseen issues arising in my homeland."

Takara Sato made a face before she started towards the gold elevator, pressing the appropriate buttons and ascending into the Palace to the appropriate floor. The two power armored women behind her remaining largely silent.

Once Sato reached Stryfe's office, she knocked, before resting her hands on her sides and waiting for an answer. Once inside, she immediately greeted the winged Avorian with a slight bow, the two Rocket angels behind her following suit.

Takara Sato tilted her head slightly. "Not quiet, I don't think they had power armor in 1654. It's a name that my ancestors established when they settled the island about seventy years ago." She said, nodding. "It was a title that my father bestowed upon me before he passed, because there were no male heirs."

She took a seat and made herself comfortable, the two guards standing behind her. "Crisis? I was made aware of the Imperial forces moving on this continent. I think Shogun Nagama is meeting on it with Shinno Heika Takayama to resolve the issue with as little bloodshed as possible."

Takara Sato shook her head. "I wouldn't be so quick to judge me and my people, I was born here, on this planet, I've spent my entire life here, as have many in my Shogunate." She said, turning to Shanthi, then back to Stryfe. "Our contact with the Taiyou Empire is minimal, and cool at best, Most of what we trade is with the Nagama Shogunate, Shinzo has been very kind in keeping us appraised of current events and trade, they trade Technology for food and raw materials." She said.

"AS far as I understand, Prince Takayama has been doing his best to end the hostilities his father started, but these things take time, if there's anything we can do to help, I would be happy too as a gesture of good faith."

Takara Sato inclined her head. "Very well, we will be in touch." She said, turning to Shanthi, and gesturing for them to walk out.

While they walked out she whispered at Shanthi. "Watashi wa karera o shin'yōshinai." She said while they walked out.

"Watashi-tachi jishin hogo suru tame ni junbi o shinakereba ikemasen." She added, moving towards the elevator.

Takara Sato nodded. "Watashi wa sensō ni tsunagaru kōdō hōshin o yōsha shimasenga, watashitachi no kuni no ryōhō no tame no wareware no shuken wa, jūyōdesu." She said, offering a bow. "I can arrange a meeting at the capital for you and Avantia-San." She said, turning back to Stryfe. "I make arrangement for gifts." She said. "I bring gold to help fund your organization, It is in the lobby." And of course, on cue, a pair of Shintenchi Taiyou wheeled in a cart filled with gold ingots, while Shanthi and Sato moved out of the office.

Avantia's arrival in the capital city of Narita had been marked with little fanfare. Only a small company of escorts had arrived with her, and only two accompanied her up the steps of the Shogunate palace. The relatively small escort served as a sign perhaps of the relative peace maintained within Shintenchi at the moment.

Though peace or not, it was a peculiar thing for Avantia to have come to Narita in favor of sending an emissary to speak on her behalf. It had been eight years since she had last left Volary, and six years since she had last spoken with Sato of the Shintenchi Shogunate.

When Avantia had last been to Narita, she had been only twenty years of age and acting as an emissary between her mother, the late Matriarch, and Sato's father. It was then that Avantia had first met Sato, and again two years later within Volary.

Word would no doubt have reached Sato by now that Avantia had arrived in person, and as the Volarian matriarch swept up the steps of the palace, she and her pair of escorts were admitted entrance into the reception hall.

Sato silently sat upon her throne as her men prepared her to hold discussions, a lavish meal placed before them, and everything made to perfection while they discussed. "She's here." An Adjutant said, bowing before the Shogun. Sato nodded. "Send her up." She said, gesturing for Avantia to be allowed passage to the inner halls of the Shogunate Palace, which was a traditional styled building among a massive modern city.

Once Avantia arrived to Sato's chamber, the Shogun would incline her head. "Welcome to my Palace." She said, nodding while two Rocket Angels stood behind the Shogun.

"I am glad you were able to come on such short notice, we have much to discuss, afterall."

Avantia returned the nod with one of her own as she joined Sato.

"I assure you there wasn't much pressing keeping me in Volary," Avantia replied, choosing to address Sato in the Taiyou tongue. Her grasp over Taiyou was stronger than basic, and conversation came more fluidly with the former.

"They would have me sitting in an ivory tower watching the sunsets if they had their way," she remarked with an off hand wave of her hand.

"Shanthi spoke of your concerns," she added. "I thought it best if I came in person to discuss this matter with you. Its been what, five? six years? You look well. My condolences on the passing of your father."

Sato inclined her head. "He passed honorably." She said, shifting as a pair of servants offered Avantia a plate of traditional sashimi.

"His ashes were returned to Niihama, and scattered in his birthplace." She explained, stepping up from her throne.

"I don't trust these new Invictus, and I fear they will force me down a course of action that will ultimately lead to war." Sato said, the two Rocket Angels following her, until they were promptly waved down.

"The Invictus have been clear in their desire to deport us, and anyone else not native to this planet."

"The Invictus are only one of many," Avantia replied. "If they are genuine in their desire for Terra then they will not have the authority to make such a move. The voices of others will hold weight over theirs."

The servant was politely waved off for now as Avantia passed on the offer of food in favor of the discussion for the time being.

"I worry more for the future of Terra. It is still my belief that to thrive as a people, rather than simply survive, we need to stand united. Volary has been long secluded from the rest of the world, and we grew complacent in our aeries. We have suffered for that decision. The arrival of your people to Shintenchi has brought about a new age for mine, a direction I intend to maintain as Matriarch. It is my worry though that this new proposed regime for a reformed Terra is frayed before it has even begun, and I fear that it will as you say ultimately lead to civil war."

"If Civil war is inevitable, than surely Civil war will transpire." The Taiyou Shogun said, moving to look out the window at the sprawling city. "We're not alone, I have friends in the Nagama Shogunate, and the Taiyou Empire as a whole. We should meet the other Terran factions individually, and draw support away from the Invictus' line of thinking."

"If the situation is volatile as my advisers have reported to me," Avantia replied. "Then these efforts may be met with opposition, even hostility."

She folded her hands in her lap as she watched Sato move across the room to the window.

"It is not my wish to pursue a course that will ultimately end in civil war, but if we must then we would be unwise not to prepare ourselves in the event that war comes."

She looked to the pair of rocket angels that stood diligently within the room.

"The advancements your people have brought to this region have been vast, but our military technology is not sufficient. We are not a cowardly people though. If you outfit my soldiers with mechanized armor, they will be ready and capable should war come to Shintenchi."

Sato nodded, running a hand across her chin in thought. "I'll see what I can do, Perhaps I could outfit your warriors with a variation of Rocket Angel armor. It's not much but it's a start." She said, turning to face Avantia. "I'll pursue negotiations with the others before we decide on a course for war. But I will be sure to brief my staff on the situation. If we do have to fight a war, we won't fight it alone. I will try to find us some allies."

Sato moved to sit back down, staring out at the city. "We shall see." She said.

"In the meantime.. perhaps I will organize a Military parade, and we will see if this display of force can give pause to the others. We all share this planet, and should make the most of everything."

Sato rose back to her feet and she turned to Avantia. "Come, this way." She said, starting towards the exit.

Avantia rose to her feet inclining her head in thanks.

"Why don't we invite the other Terran factions to partake in the festivities of the parade," she recommended as she followed Sato from the room.

"A display of strength is best appreciated where it can be seen, and we can use the opportunity to discuss the future of Terra among them. It will be a good chance to learn more of these other factions and of their intentions."

Sato nodded. "That is a good idea, If you could, send messengers out to deliver the word. I would send my own messengers, but I fear they would be confused for Imperial Taiyou forces, and attacked."

Sato nodded. "But I will have letters dictated and mailed out in the morning."

"I understand," Avantia replied. "I will send emissaries in the morning."

"Did you wish to show me something?" she asked in response to Sato escorting them out of the chambers.

The pair of avorians that had accompanied her into the palace trailed a short distance behind Sato and Avantia.

The Avorians didn't have much in the way of forces out this way, but the far more widespread Taiyou had military bases across Shintenchi. It was the nearest of these that the envoy sent a radio trasmission through to.

'This is Kumar with the Volarian Royal Guard. There are unknown military forces moving on the region. Our envoy is under attack about six miles north of Westmill, requesting assistance.'

There was a swift response, a crackling over the radio and the Taiyou Command officer. "Received, We've detected unknown movements in your location, and have already mobilized a response force. We're scrambling but it will be some time before we can divert assets. Call in coordinates so we can scramble jet Tengu for Air and ground support."

Kumar swiftly relayed the coordinates across to the Taiyou Command officer. There was a slight pause filled with the light crackling of the radio before Kumar spoke again. "Enemy air support moving in. Time to see if these people know how to fly."

The Command tower replied its confirmation. "Acknowledged, Air and ground support is being mobilized, watch yourselves out there." The Radio then cut out, and the base nearby began to scramble a squadron of Jet Tengu and Chopper VX Helicopters, they would arrive in five minutes.

Within seconds the Cybrans had started to come under fire. The Panzers, armed with their plasma cannons fired rapid shots into the air, the personal shields locking down and as the Cybran crew climbed out and ran, firing with their assault rifles. The tanks quickly went into an auto control interface and they started to move around the fields, firing back at the rocket angels.

Ritter started calling out contacts as the comms operator started to pick up more and more traffic of the planet. He looked up at Ritter as the tank crews burst into the large group of homes the Cybrans held.

"Sir, call in more units? Reinforcements?" He shouted at Ritter with a hand pointing to his radio, "Sounds like more inbound. Orders?"

Ritter looked over at him, shaking his head calmly. His eyes darted from side to side with his APR in his right hand, "Cease Fire!" He turned to look out the window towards the rocket angels, the rest of the men in the row of houses doing the same. The Tank crews quickly stopped the tanks glancing up at the inbound units. "Get me a link to the air support, tell them not to open fire unless those things fire at us again. I have the feeling we are both at fault."

The Air support swooped by the group of attackers to the Cybran's falling back to sea, away from the zone without firing at anyone. They carefully went back into orbit but were close enough to attack if need be.

Several unarmored avorians fell under the plasma cannons, but the rocket angels were effectively designed as anti-tank troops, as well as anti-aircraft. While they were poor against ground troops, the sustained rocket damage was well capable of bringing down large reinforced and shielded structures, and the tanks personal shielding would likely be found ineffective against such focused damage. Likewise the aircrafts would be at risk if they sustained too many hits from the rocket angels.

Meanwhile the other four rocket angels opened up with a barrage of rockets at the incoming aircrafts, nor did they cease the volley even as the vessels veered off. Kamil's eyes lit up a golden hue to match his tattoos as he sought to disrupt the mechanisms within the leading air support units. With flight systems and navigation rend asunder beneath the psionics tampering, the leading units would be sent spiraling towards the ground with the internal mechanics sparking from the severed wiring.

The surviving unarmored avorians descended towards the ground. Without flight suits they were open targets against both the tanks and the aircrafts if they stayed up in the skies. With the tanks engulfed in a barrage of destructive explosions, the vehicles were likely no longer a threat and the grounded avorians turned their focus to the cybran ground troops taking cover within the civilian buildings.

While things were engaging overhead, they began to close in on the ground units.

The Cybrans locked in their weaponry, waiting for the avorians to move closer, their weapons already trained on the targets at hand. Ritter nodded to his Comms operator and swallowed, "Send the message to the Fleet Commander, either send down more troops or send down a transport to get us out of here."

He then turned and looked over on the avorians, "Hey, don't fire, Can we talk? This hasn't went well for either of us, so maybe we could come a stop with the fighting?" He called out from behind the window, crouching behind the wall. His eyes darted to the men, starting to give hand gestures make them stop anything and wait.
