Description
The Inklings, as stated before, are a collection of people's incomplete thoughts. They have been lain dormant, sitting in the back of people's minds. But now, they have gone out, manifesting into small, ink-like droplets. Wandering around, they can take the shape of just about anything, and everything that has ever been thought about.
Personality
Inklings are more-so curious than anything else. Looking for a place to be, to try and become complete is their goal.
So begins...
The Inklings's Story

shapes darted in and out of the trees and bushes around the lone figure in the woods. All that could be seen was an inky black coloration in the figures that moved around him. Whispers of unheard words echoed around the forest. What were they saying? It could not be heard. The black figure dashed in front of the man, and disappeared into nothingness, leaving only a whisper of the words "Begone" in it's presence.
The figure never showed up, and after a few moments, a small inky black stain appeared a few feet on the groun din front of him. From this stain, it appeared that... ink droplets were forming, one on top of the other, and were taking on a humanoid shape, but without feet. From the ground up, it sprang, an entity of ichor, bulging outwardly. It opened it's underdeveloped mouth, and white, sharp, glistening teeth were forming, and it roared, echoing all throughout the forest. It spoke, the words were deep, and gnarly. "You! You will make us whole again!"
The setting changes from forest-border to Dark Woods
In the darkness of the woods, something lurked. Some things, lurked. They wanted to be whole, they wanted complete life. That lone figure in the woods, would become their target. Around the branches, above the figure they formed, few of them dripping down, inky black drops, landing on the ground, next to, and in front of the lone figure in the woods.
The steady fall of droplets stopped for a moment, and a moment only, and then turned to a heavy rain, concentrated in front of the figure. It stopped, and up from the glob it started to rise. Serpentine in shape, it slithered up into the air, at least fifteen feet tall, bubbling and bulging at certain points, all a solid black, inky color. The head moved directly in front of the man. The mouth did not open, and droplets were falling, and coalescing back towards the body. A deep voice echoed around the forest. "You, will make us... Whole!" It reared it's head back and hissed, and roared, all at the same time.
It curled up into the sky and opened up it's mouth, in doing so, more droplets fell out of it. The energy attacks phased right through the beast, only to anger it more. It poised itself, ready to attack, and the mouth opened again, this time, instead of the usual fall of droplets, fifteen solid, pitch-black spears shot out of it's mouth, directly towards the figure.
The barrage of energy shots entered the body of the creature, and exited out the other side, ink blots spraying everywhere. Down the creature went, and collapsed onto the ground, and the puddle formed yet again. It started moving towards the man, and up, out of the ground, came a hunched humanoid figure, fists pounding into the ground as it charged, legs propelling it forward, the mouth opening, letting out a sickening roar.
The Inklings charged straight through the flames, and it roared again, this time deeper, and more burly. It sank below the next two energy crescents, and threw four large, bowling ball sized, solid spheres, two out of each hand, launching at the man, and after doing so, burst into a faster speed, sprinting at him as he moved back with the earth.
On the creature moved, still picking up speed. As the lightning struck, it staggered lightly, but not enough to lose speed. It started increased in size, neck extending, and the back bulged, and in a moment, wings burst from the creatures back, the forearms shrunk, and claws emerged, on both front and back, and a tail shot out. Within a few leaps, the creature was air born, now crying out in an angry shriek. Up it rose, and loosed a spray of black ichor down towards the man.
It screeched in a higher tone as a lightning bolt hit it. Down it went, as it fell, it crashed into the side of one of the spires. As it did, it exploded into thousands of ink droplets. Each droplet formed into it's own tiny needle, riding the air currents, whipping between spires, through the wind and rain, and aimed directly at Auric. As they got closer, they combined, forming one large spike, at least fifty feet long, plunging straight at the man.
As the spear hit the ground, it did not sink in, but in fact melted into a moving puddle on the ground. It kept going the direction it hit the ground at, but would turn around after a short bit, and came back at full speed, turning straight back at the man. Again it rose off the ground, not in one form, but in three. A small pack of deformed wolf like creatures rose from the ground, and ran at him, mouths snarling, and a deep throaty growl rising from their throats.
Each figure took the impact head on, and burst. Puddles lay on the ground, and seemed to bubbled. From each of the three puddles, two centipede like creatures emerged, for a total of six. They creeped and crawled their way to him, but moving slower than they should be, still seemingly hostile though. To get within reach, they would try to rear up and bite at Auric.
The centipede like creatures stopped, but crawled around in their places, and sank down, into pools, and came together as one. They formed together one last time, rising up into a six foot tall torso, complete with arms, and a head, black eyes looking directly at Auric, body constantly dripping down, and reshaping. As it spoke, the voice came from everywhere, but seemingly nowhere at the same time. "We are incomplete. We come from the incomplete thoughts of all, left in the back of the mind, forever forgotten. Many, many years, we were left in the back of the minds, and now We are manifested here, in the real world." It gestured to the surrounding area. "Being incomplete, We are left to assume forms like this, constantly changing, never completely whole..."
A sigh could be heard. "The mind of sentient beings, it is filled with thoughts. Complete or not. If We could find a way to take the essence of a sentient brain, We hoped to become whole, with the thoughts the one happened to possess." The figure looked up at the sky, a look of forlorn longing on the face. "All We wish, is to become whole."
"A magic user amongst Us is something We knew. Maybe Our hope of a sentients' thoughts was too much. If there is any way you can help Us, We give you Our faith." At this, and without any other words, the physical form of the body changed, and collapsed to the ground, and the puddle it fell to grew smaller, and came up a small bit, forming itself into a small cube; The one form it could take as a whole and become completely solid.

Darkness crept in the shadows, stalking the two figures as they made their ways around the broken and rundown houses and buildings. Whispering voices could be heard breaking the silence between footsteps. It was stalking, It was hunting. The primal need of all humans filling its desires. Prey.
A figure, vaguely in the shape of a man appeared on the rooftop of a torn building. It wasn't quite solid, but not flowing either, but ever changing. The feeding grounds have been disturbed. But the two new inhabitants would offer their thoughts and memories as a wonderful treat. It, they, jumped down, the whole body wavering a moment, in between the two people, and stood there, and turned towards the man.
But what to do? They took a few steps forward, not hardly making any noise except soft footsteps, and the quiet whispering that came from it. The one in front of them had a good arrogance, thought he was better than the rest, which made him the bigger target. Better thoughts, better treat. The mouth opened up, and the face twisted, and an ear splitting scream resounded the area around.
The arms sucked into the body, and it lurched forward a few steps, the head sunk in, and the middle rippled a bit, and out shot a spiraling, pointed whip-like extension, hurtling towards the Egyptian man. They would have him soon, and the thoughts, would be theirs.
The body ruptured a bit, and blew off part of the body. Then, the parts of it which did fly off went up, and combined back together, making more of the tendrils, making their way towards Sphinx, and several made their way back to the now slightly more threatening Kintanu.
Inky tendrils kept pushing on the wall of ice, covering it, and would continue until the mass would make its way around, still trying to get at the girl.
At the same time, the ones that came after Sphinx smashed into the ground, and then burrowed. Then nothing. A few seconds later, the ground began to rumble as the last of the inky substance subsided into the ground, and cracks began to form underneath the one who called himself "royalty".

The lightning caused the inklings to disperse, and disappear into the ground, along with the others. The rumbling got louder, and a few moments later, in the dust storm, I giant wurm-like creature erupted from the ground, and split into two heads, bellowing loudly into the air, one head now aimed towards each of the other two.
They Bellowed as heat and lightning both hit in blasts. Two more head split from the other two, going to the side of each of the others, coming in for a flank hit on the two.
The two that went after the girl, fell apart, and collapsed onto the ground, "melting" as it would seem, away into the darkness of the buildings. As did the other two giant wurm heads, as the blasts and the heat overcame them. Giant craters formed in the ground, and buildings crumbled underneath, where the large inky forms had fallen.
Warren Aulare was wandering aimlessly about when suddenly he smiled at the sky. For a moment he stood there and stared up into Terran Orbit. A satisfied nod and he turned on his heel with new direction. He thumbed at the die in his pocket as he made his way in to the city.
