a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Alucroas

Description

As a Human: Dr. Jessica Lynn
As a Herald: The Slut
Height: 5'8"
Gender: Female
Weight: 156
Allegiance: Val'gara
Rank: Herald
Sign: Aries

Tier-Level: High
Character Type: Critical

Description: Before the conversion, Jessica Lynn was the epitome of what it meant to be a beautiful, young woman with high aspirations, and looks could make almost any grown man feel like a 14-yr old with his hands in his pants as he flipped through the pages of a playboy magazine. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and curves that made an L.A. freeway resemble a straight, and narrow ruler. Her clothing consisted of a high-cut, cherry red, white pokedotted skirt, and high heels.

As a Herald, she resembles a mutated human, having undergone various cosmetic changes. She is completely naked, willfully exposing herself to both friend and enemy alike; her skin is gray and transparent, partially revealing her internal organs which seem to have a constant flow of purple bio-force flowing through them. Although normally green or blue, this is due to the constant exchange of various self-made pheromones, chemical-toxins, and what-have-you flowing through her veins. Both eyes are entirely pink, and almost seem to smolder beneath a thick curtain of red that replaces her once blonde hair.

Personality: As Dr. Jessica Lynn, she was the sweetest person on the block, always walking into the Monterey Correctional Facility with nothing less than a smile that turned the former convicts she rehabilitated back into school-yard boys with a crush on their teacher. Though she had a naturally welcoming personality, she never truly opened up to anyone, unless she knew they were serious about their intentions. This made her highly revered among her co-workers for possessing both the looks, personality, and strong resolve to help whoever she came into contact with.

As a Herald, and Slut of the Val'gara, her personality is similar to that of a succubus with a volatile temperament, and a never-ending desire to satisfy what she could not satisfy in others. Like a mother with munchausen, she seeks to keep everything around her at a level that is sub-par, so that her role as a nurturer will never be diminished. She most commonly maintains this by luring in her enemies with a cocktail of chemical toxins, and pheromones designed to weaken them on both mentally, and physically. Afterwards, she will begin to invade them psychically, and sexually, satisfying her physical urges, the need to feed, and the mental stability required of her to stay as a long-standing member of the Val'gara.

Powers

Vesuvian Virus: The Vesuvian Virus was concocted by the Leviathan, and has, since then, been the sole reason behind the Val'gara's catastrophic numbers. When an enemy is captured, they are either harvested or assimilated, though that decision is left up Brobdignang. If they are assimilated, they are to be injected with the virus, and thus undergo a type of forced mutation, that not only varies from person-to-person, but from race-to-race as well.

The Slut is fully capable of infecting anyone with the virus, and takes the additional step of forcing swift, progressive mutation, fueled and maintained (temporarily) due to the application of positive bio-force. Due to the sheer speed of the mutation, however, coupled with no allotted time for a gestation period, the victim ends up becoming more and more unstable, all the while transforming into something more and more destructive, until finally -- they devastatingly self-destruct with enough force to level a city block.

In any ordinary case, anything that gets infected with the Vesuvian Virus, will be alloted a gestation period inside the body of a Dreadnaught that'll allow everything within the victim's body to stabilize, and as a result, beceome a Herald. With the Slut, this is not possible. (8)

Hematopoeitic Virus: A virus that travels all the way down into the hematopoeitic stem cells, reprogramming each and every white blood cell in a person's body, and instructing them to attacking it instead of defending it. They will act as reinforcement to any known disease within the body, and with the application of negative bio-force, they can withstand nanomachines, and various other alternative defense mechanisms, such as magic. Because negative bio-force destroys instead of creates, the speed at which the cells pour out is drastically accelerated in order to make up for their short life-span. (8)

Dominant Trait:Poisons: The Slut has a wide variety of poisons in her arsenal. She can create hemotoxins to defile the blood of her slave to neurotoxins for stealthy assassinations. Beyond this she can devise complicated pathogens and viruses to slowly corrode her enemies' bodies over extended periods of time. The Slut is host to a massive amount of interstellar parasites to whose effects she is immune. She can propagate her toys via a wide variety of interactions (7)

Hallucinogens, Psychotropes, and Illusory Techniques: She is a living, breathing, manufacturer of all sorts of mind-altering drugs, used to lure in prey, trick them, or simply provide herself with something to fix. The effects range from vivid hallucinations, to episodes of schizophrenia, to feelings of sexual ectasty, and most notably, a need to carry out the goals of their new mother. This is part of how the Slut is able to maintain control over her mutated pets, during their temporary "contract" as a member of the Val'gara. (7)

Bio-Force: Bio-Force is a supernatural energy that all living beings possess, but few are aware of it, let alone able to actively use it. It can be used for both creative, and destructive purposes, with the former being the most commonly applied among the Val'gara, and as such, there are two types that need to be elaborated on a tidbit.

Positive Bio-Force: This is purely a creation energy, that can be used for a variety of means, and has a very widespread effect, that ranges accelerating organic growth, to unleashing devastating bursts of raw power, and even the ability to produce sustainable constructs, that require nothing more than sheer will power.

Negative Bio-Force: Essentially, the exact opposite, destroying anything it comes into contact with almost instantly, and is very difficult to apply even in the conventional sense. It is a definite killing tool, that produces no widespread effects, and simply erases and destroys with uncanny precision. (8)

Group Ability: Psi (Psychic) Networking: The Slut may share her dominant trait with any sized group of NPCs, which in-turn will allow them access to all the poisons she has in her arsenal scaled down to to their level. In addition, should a Herald be present on the battlefield, they may share each other's dominant traits, scaled up to their respective tier levels. No other abilities may be shared, however, only the dominant ones that a particular Herald excels in by itself. (8)

BioKinesis: One of the Slut's primary skills is 'biokinesis'. Among other things, this allows her to augment her physical strength, exaggerate her size to intimidate opponents, produce an extremely durable exoskeleton to function as organic armor, give herself immunities to poisons and bacteria, etc. When used in conjunction with her natural ability to produce hallucinogens and pathogens, biokinesis alone can make the Slut a formidable, sometimes insurmountable, obstacle in the path of any opponent. History

As a young adult, Jessica Lynn had already achieved high marks in the field of criminal psychology, having successfully rehabilitated over two hundred convicts at the young age of 24. The reason behind her success, was her unique ability to dig deep down into a person's psyche, and discover the true reason behind their actions, unlike most detectives who simply thought it best to lock them up and throw away the key. One such individual happened to be her boyfriend,Thomas Balvice, a police lieutenant that had an obssession with putting the poor bastards behind bars without any chance of parole. It wasn't very difficult for her to figure out the source of his animosity: parents shot and killed, grandmother shot and killed, no known relatives currently alive.

After hearing about his suffering, Jessica decided to befriend him, but was in no way willing to relinquish her ideals about people deserving a second chance, to which he told her that his particular demon not only killed his parents, but came after his own grandmother and got her too. However, as time went on, and Thomas sat in on her rehab sessions, he slowly began to realize what kind of person she was. A woman who truly cared more about the world than she did about herself; he could easily see her taking a bullet for a complete stranger. Eventually, their friendship became a relationship, and while it didn't wasn't enough to garner any attention, it was still enough to garner some.

After a year of being together, the couple finally decided that was time to move in, and try to start a life. Marriage was an option, but they both knew they weren't ready for that kind of commitment, and still had plenty of time to spend with one another outside of work. Thomas had been re-assigned to the Monterey Bay Marine Research Facility as a way of cutting back on his workload, and Jessica had adjusted her hours to fit in room for lunch.

It wasn't until the Val'gara assault on March 2nd, 2008, that their relationship would come to an abrupt end. Dreadnaught, the first known Son of Idea had awakened from its slumber beneath the Pacific Ocean floor, rising up out of the water to reveal itself as something along the lines of a space-whale with a few choice characteristics added on. Drones - crab-like infestations spawned from the Dreadnaught flooded the city, killing everyone and everything in a massive feeding frenzy, and even an unknown beast that entered the fray with the sole intention of killing the thing.

It was almost a full hour before Thomas was able to rescue her from her collapsed work-building, clearing away the rubble with almost supernatural skill, before dragging out into the open. The road had been too fucked for driving on, so making it on foot would be their only means of escaping this warzone. By now, the military had arrived, but their weapons seemed to have almost no effect on the Dreadnaught, only good for dealing with things like those Drones. Aerial assaults were also useless, the things wings produced gale force winds that made it impossible to get anywhere near the giant whale, let alone fire a missile at it.

Jessica was now horrified, she hadn't a clue how they were going to going to make it out of this mess alive, the Dreadnaught was beginning to produce a vacuum, like an organic blackhole sucking in everyone and everything like they were specs of plankton in the ocean before them. Thomas was anchored to the ground by unknown means, holding onto his beloved woman as though she were apart of himself. Unfortunately for both of them, a certain other part wanted nothing to do with Dr. Lynn. Thomas' hand suddenly burst open, and out came a bone impaling the woman straight through the chest. The woman, now being sucked into the abysmal pit that was Dreadnaught's gullet gave her man look of teary eyed confusion. How could he have done this to her, after all they went through together?

--

When she had awakened, everything that had happened to her had been explained by Idea, and with her mind now broken, it wasn't much of a chore to convince her that every person she had ever helped would just turn on her, in the way her one true love had. And, right when she needed him the most! Now she is the Slut, destined to epitomize lust, greed, and mental satisfaction, regardless of the cost to herself, and any other member of the Val'gara that dare tell her otherwise.

So begins...

Remy "Gambit" LeBeau straightened his coat as he noticed several suspicious patrons entering the market. This place had sure become popular since it was confirmed to have existed... damn those pesky news reporters! Wing City had always been a place of change, but... his precious respite!

Finishing up his transaction with the final vendor he'd come here to see, Gambit then began to make his way back towards his age-old home.
