I wake up in a forest "where the heck am I know?" I ask to nobody in particular, the last thing I remember is getting separated from my group. "ah well gotta find someone." I say as I start to walk down a path.

"Hold on, buddy. Keep a safe distance," a powerfully built woman announced, holding out a meaty hand to block Thorn's progress. "I have a feeling that this is only a fraction of their power. No telling what will happen when they decide to really cut loose."

A squat looking Bastiodon nudged her knee, looking for food and assurance that everything would be okay. "It's all right, Castle, he's not gonna hurt you." A few consoling pets and a dry treat later, she went back up to confront the sword wielder. "You, uh, might wanna sheathe that thing. It's making my Pokémon nervous."

For a moment Kobah didn't respond, his attention re-focused on his pokemon moving off into the distance, both of them already working hard, Thor by helping the trapped and clearing the pathways of debris and Hel by doing much the same as well as by using her mental resonance to assist people in staying calm. When she said his name however, Miro's mind snapped back to Ceana / Whit. She let him lead him for now, but something suddenly occurred to him. They didn't really have much protection at the moment. Whatever was happening, this was beyond what he could comfortable call a natural disaster. And White Heat had her own agenda, and he knew that Pan would do her best, but still, neither of them were on his partner's levels.

Right now, he needed raw power, and in a desperate bid, he'd have it. He released Loki from his ball, the Noivern instantly alert to the chaos in the air and seeming was about to take off but a sharp, biting whisper of "No," was all it took from Kobah. "You'll stay with me this time, Loki. Do you understand?"

Eyes fierce with defiance, the Noivern seemed ready to turn on his own trainer before backing down from its aggressive stance, a contempt filled gaze still locked on its features. But it listened. "Come. We're following the Ninetails."

The man tall and draped in a heavy scale/plate mail combination walked closer to the gathering near the fight. He carried a rather plain if not worn sword on his belt but the tabard over it was clean and a brilliant white with the red cross. He held a large spear in his right hand that made a slight thwacking sound on the ground as he approached the gathering with it. The clinking of the armor and the shield he carried on his back gave him no silence in his purpose driven approach.

Merek finally making it to the crowd with a few heads turned his way at his approach before he piped up with a question a deep thunderous voice leaving the metal winged helm he wore.

"Who happens to be fighting here?" His addressing to no one in particular though his voice over the ensuing chaos seemed to cause a few in the crowd to jump.

The robed man just sort of looks up at the torrent of fire approaching, hesitating a moment as he realized he had time to react. Well wasn't that convenient? "...Xatu, it's time to use tailwind!" he called out, taking a step back. Xatu seemed to look back and question him, a gesture met with a frown. "Now. You can endure this!" the robed man assured. He needed a pivot to go on the offensive now that he had scouted the other's offensive style and this was just what he needed. An aura seemed to surround Xatu, the air around him fluctuating to his whims.

As Xatu was consumed by flames the robed man raised a hand to shield his eyes, his free hand casually producing another pokeball. He primed it and unleashed a Medicham not far off. The aura that had surrounded Xatu now surrounded Medicham, empowering him with the power of wind. The medicham immediately balanced on one foot and raised his arms as if striking a pose for Aeson.

Nearby, the flames dissipate to reveal Xatu slumped where he stood. The bird pokemon almost seemed to have passed out standing, his body marred with burns.

"Medicham, don't hold back--Zen headbutt!" the robed man calls out. Medicham grounded itself with a thud, a stronger aura appearing around it's skull as focused willpower condensed into a deadly ramming shield. It then launched itself forward at a speed so fast many humans would have trouble registering that it had not simply teleported instantaneously, it's speed magnified by the power of wind to dangerous levels. It would suddenly be in the air, rocketing at Aeson like a kinetic missile.

Merek would had only recently joined the crowd and looking at the continued onslaught between the the few figures on the field of battle saw something that worried him. The man using the seals he knew very well. Aeson on the other hand had yet to see or take time to sense the arrival of the armor clad figure as a second opponent launched himself at Aeson leaving him no time to react or taking any counter measures besides lifting his hands up in a defensive posture across his chest. This looked to be the end of the mage here.

Merek however reacted more forcefully then was truly necessary. One moment he was standing with the crowd, the next had a crater in his place with a blur of motion his fingers barely gripped the leg of the monster headed towards Aeson. The other force caused the creatures flight path to be knocked off balance enough to leave Aeson with a glancing wound and the ability to still fight on.

Merek tumbled to the ground however creating another crate that dragged on for a few feet but left him standing but the gauntlet that gripped the leg of the creature was torn from his hand leaving him with the chainmail and cloth gauntlet underneath. He steadied his breath as he stood taller now with spear still in hand and his other weapons still clinging to him including the kite shield he wore on his back.

"Mess with him, you will have to fight through me!" Merek issued his challenge with the deep booming voice that echoed through the helm. Aeson still laid on the ground looking up at the man that had helped to advert a killing blow.

Jennifer would not stand for this. She flew forward. "Savages! Uncouth bastards! How dare you interfere in a one on one duel?? Throw out your lead and face me, fool!" she screamed at Merek. Castle was already prepped for taking a hit, and it shuffled forward, letting out a grunt. Less a battle cry and more a steely gaze, saving its energy for the fight ahead.

"Ready a Metal Burst, Castle. He's fast, but not fast enough to dodge his own attack," Jennifer advised, and the Bastiodon obliged, hunkering down and surrounding itself in a silvery luster. The goal was less to defeat the armored knight and more to make sure he was sufficiently inconvenienced from meddling further. Besides, there was no way this thing could be anything but a disguised Pokémon. No human could move that fast...hell, most of her partners couldn't manage to intercept a blow like that, let alone one so swift and powerful!

She spared a glance at the hooded figure with the Xatu. "Keep fighting, I got this new guy!"

thorncaster: I see a person in armor like me stop a medicham's zen headbutt and see The girl who talked to me get in a battle stance with her pokemon, deciding that what she said about breaking into a one on one dual I decided to battle the guy first, I run in front of her and send out Skarmory. "skarmory use swords dance" I say as I throw up my Sword, while skarmory's feathers encircle it one feather infuses into my sword and I grab my sword. I then swing it causing a pressurized air shockwave to blast towards the guy who stopped the zen headbutt.

Merek looked at the woman and her own creature the eyes glowing a bright white through the slits of the helm, he shifted his gaze at the attack coming towards him. He raised his spear in a defensive posture as the shockwave rushed towards him. That was a mistake not only he would regret but quite a few others as well.

"Aegis of Hephaestus:Torrential Reversal!" The words echoed the circle flaring up in front of the spear forming a large round shield bearing the head of a Greek gorgon on it.

The attack was absorbed by the shield then shot back not as a wave before but as a single concentrated blast that was aimed towards the man his metal bird and the group of onlookers behind him. Not only was the attack focused but it's power was increased one hundred fold and was ready to make a bloody mess of quite a large crowd.

Pan pushed through the crowd to where White Heat waited for them, the entrance to the sewers uncovered. Others with the same idea were filtering into the sewers as well, guided by a small wisp of blue flame that illuminated the entrance. As Pan approaced, White Heat quickly placed herself behind Ceana, tails brushing against her side. "Get to the sewers quickly," Whit spoke through Ceana. "I will meet you shortly."

Ceana's body went limp for a moment and she fell onto Whit's back with a short cry of pain. She rubbed her head and slowly stood as Whit gently turned to nuzzle her face. "Whit...be safe, please," she whispered. White Heat nodded once and bounded off into the chaos of the city, in the direction of Ceana's apartment complex. Ceana sighed softly and reached out for Miro's hand. "Let's go."

Pan had already jumped down into the sewers.

The robed man just sort of does a double take. He seemed to focus on Jennifer as she spoke to him, a scowl subtly gracing his face. Medicham landed nearby in a crouching position. "Xatu." the mystery man called, the bird pokemon's eyes suddenly shooting open in spite of it's wounds. Apparently he had been right--It -could- endure the hit! ...Though, it certainly looked like it was in pretty rough shape. "Telekinesis. Hold him." he remarked, gesturing to Merek. Xatu's wounded wings rose awkwardly into the air, a psychic aura manifesting around the pokemon and Merek. Suddenly a psychokinetic force was gripping him, attempting to lift him just enough off his feet to where he would be unable to get traction and then restrain him there long enough to get a hit in.

"Medicham..." the robed man then went on, grabbing his pokemon's attention before his gaze turning upon Aeson. "Are you satisfied?!" he demanded, his voice booming to be heard amongst whatever else might be going on in the area.

Meanwhile, those in the sewer are more concerned with falling somewhere nasty than they are any potential threats. Simple working folk, why would anyone want to targett them? They certainly didn't know. A handful are paranoid, but most--They've nothing to hide and don't know how to be any safer.

Meanwhile, Jessica arrives on the scene. Judging by her worn jeans and the crop top exposing her toned midriff one might assume several things about her. Her fists said she was ready to get involved. "...What'n creation's goin' on here??" she asked no one in particular, taking in the situation at a somewhat unsafe distance from the robed man.

"Ah, Jessica, allow me to show you!" Jennifer turned to face the Aegis blast. "Do it, Castle!"

Thanks to Thornstrike's interference, most of the collateral damage was avoided, and his Pokemon had been smart enough to let Castle cover the rest. Which was exactly what he was built to do. The glowing energy wave slammed right into its broad face...and stayed there for a second, gathering energy even as it pushed against the squat beast's four legged frame. Or more precisely, the nimbus of defensive power surrounding it.

After Castle's sturdy body proved equal to the task set before him (the fact that he was a rock/steel type and the reflected attack was flying-type helped a lot!), Jennifer called out her counter-attack. "Now, Metal Burst! Let him have it!" With an anguished cry, its body being taxed to the limit just from having to absorb so much punishment, the Torrential Reversal was itself reversed, half again the power coming right back at Merek in the form of a focused, concentrated ray going the other way. 150 times the original power of the Air Slash that the do-gooder had launched originally. He may have been able to intercept a Medicham with a tailwind behind it, but it was highly unlikely that his speed would get him away from the force of his own blow.

Aeson was back on his feet quickly the wound still nasty but he chose to ignore it for the most part minus a pain expression gripping his face. He looked to Merek now who floated off the ground his expression still hidden beneath his helm. Aeson knew that Merek was going to take the blast he would have it no other way. It matter not to him if his armor deteriorated or his body scarred he lavished in the idea of being able to stand pain. This left an opening for Aeson which took a tremendous amount of focus on his part.

"Five Circle Seal of Turiel: Divines Reach!" His hands forming a triangle with the thumbs, index fingers and middle fingers his eyes even flared to a deeper color of blue. The circles flourished quickly and with speed the precision of their casting as they floated above each other at an angle pointing towards the robed man. The creatures were controlled by these people. He was hoping dispatching the man would immobilize the beasts or make them easier to deal with.

The blast released by from the five seals a mesmerizing heavenly blue that reigned down a ferocious force that matched a falling meteor or destructive power of this worlds hyper beam but on a larger scale. The blasts diameter was large with the diameter measuring fifteen feet. Aeson had no plans of giving into this fight.

Merek on the other hand didn't seem too worried that he was now trapped in mid air unable to move. His eyes still gleamed from underneath the helm as he watched the blast heading for him. He would hold out hoping his armor would bear the brunt of it, leaving him able to fight and if not then Aeson would be back to square one here. The blast struck with a vicious force tossing Merek from the psychic hold the metal of his plate armor shredding down to the chainmail then the cloth he wore beneath. The armor bore the brunt of it regardless of being stripped away minus the gauntlets and his greaves but they were left heavily dented. He slumped originally back against the wall he was thrown against his body cut up bruised and bloodied. He still drew breath albeit it was shallow. His sword survived though the sheath gone as it stuck in the wall and his shield still behind him keeping him from more damage. Merek however did not move not yet at least.

Deep into the sky, beyond the the moon, a very flourescent purple light flittered. At this distance, it was unable to tell if it was moving or just a star, and probably not even noticed. Steadily, this light was moving at a speed of Mach VI through the vast, empty, dark, area of Space.

The light vanished within two minutes of it's first sighting. As the light vanished, a vortex formed. The vortex grew larger and larger till the beings on any nearby planets would see the massive, glowing, purple spacial vortex. As the vortex formed, navy blue and deep purple clouds that ripped with a crimson lightning and ground shaking thunder that released a black pulse of energy. These clouds grew till they covered the skies of Castelia City, leaving no sight of sky or natural light. As the clouds grew, they began to spiral and create a gust. The winds would begin to blend with the flames and rubble that seemed to be filling up Castelia City.

In the eye of this storm, a purple glow began to emit. This light was surrounded by the most fiercious blasts of lightning and sounded like the roar of one thousand lions. Something was here, or was on it's way here. Something unnatural. Something that should never set foot on a mortal realm...But what?

The robed man's unseeing gaze had been locked upon Aeson. The other had made the mistake of preusming he would not be ready to retaliate. "Bullet Punch!" the robed man announced, cutting Aeson off. Medicham shifts forward, once again rushing Aeson with blinding speed. Suddenly it's fist shot forward at the other with a loud crack, much like the sound of a bullwhip, and enough friction to ignite the air around it. A series of extremely rapid punches follow with the intention of forcing putting too much pressure on Aeson for the other to get his attack off.

Observing all of what was going on, Jessica comes to only one conclussion. The world has gone mad and she is the only sane one left. Are you mocking me Jennifer? "For cryin' out loud!" she remarked in frustration, producing a pokeball. "Yer expl-er-nation's a brick er two shy a full load." she remarked, unamused by all this possibly murder going on. It was hard to trust Jennifer or this robed stranger when they were doing so well attacking these strange folk without pokemon to protect themselves. From the ball emerged... a tauros.

"Jessy, there's an insane dude that came through the portal and he's trying to kill us all! That blast was meant for me, Castle, and everyone 100 feet behind me!" Jennifer screamed at the farm hand. Maybe not the evil Tungsten had meant to warn her about all those years ago, but hey, if the shoe fits.

"If it makes you feel any better, just think of the staff dude as a trainer and the armor guy as his Pokemon. Castle, return! Let's go, Scizor!" Right now she was dealing with something far more valuable and delicate than life and limb. The trust of a friend.

The point blank shot at Merek at best was desperate there was no planning to it let alone caution, to get close to a man that endured a solid hit 150 times an attack is at best a suicide attack. Never the less Merek's eyes flashed a hand popping up forming a circle which in less than a second flashed a convex shield dispersing the blast to either side of him. His next strike had his fist strike the pavement with another circle appearing causing the ground to crack and fissure all about but the main crack rocketed towards Aeson. At the time Aeson was busy with his main attacked cancelled in order to block the fists he diverted his magic into his arms to absorb the fury of the punches and keep up with the speed of the attack.

Though the rumbling of the plaza quickly came upon Aeson who fell into the fissure. He glanced over at Merek as he fell who had already gripped his force smashing the swords with his fist. He roared above the din to Aeson now.

"Regroup in the park I have a plan!" Merek's voice echoed out as he vanished in a blazing white heated light that would only temporarily blind the enemy. It gave him enough time to quickly slip around the corner and make his inhuman sprint to the park.Z

Aeson on the other hand simply vanished in a blink leaving the creature to swing at air. Both of the men had exposed their plan rather obviously which should greatly concern their foes.

The storm above grew louder as the time passed. The rumble that was emitted from its core began to spread throughout the storm, increasing the intensity of the storms presence. As the rumble grew louder the glass in the buildings began to rattle and the loose concrete and mortar began to fall from the walls of these buildings. Such power was being emitted from just the sound of the thunder and it kept growing, not to mention the growing velocity and range of the lightning.

As the thunder grew, of course the lightning did to. It ripped through the skies leaving so much light behind each strike that it seemed like a crimson sun was casting its light upon the city. The lightning eventually began change its direction from across the sky to the tops of buildings. One bolt actually struck the third largest building in the city and in a matter of seconds the building was engulfed in flames before it caved in on itself, creating a massive dust cloud that smothered out the surrounding few blocks.

The core of this storm had also changed its sound. The sound no longer was like a lions roar, but more of a jet engines roar. The pitch kept growing higher and higher, not helping out the stability of the structures that were being effected by the thunder. To make matters worse in this Celestial Storm, it would appear as if some form of a rupture was forming in the core. Odd enough, even though it opened up and looked like a blackhole of some kind, it did nothing for a few minutes...and then it began.

A purple and black miasma was beginning to fall from this vortex and spread through the skies, mixing with the massive celestial storm. If the appearance of the storm held no importance to them when it arrived, it would now. As the storm's power grew more intense, the core kept producing new substances into the atmosphere that could not be ignored. With the miasma in the air above the city, the temperature dropped significantly and the wind began to blow. Everyone, good or evil, was now at risk. The lightning crashing into the ground, burning and fracturing the asphalt and concrete. The thunder was making mighty towers quake at it's sound. The miasma was rapidly lowering the temperature. The winds were spreading dust and fueling any fires around. The tide had rised by a foot in a matter of seconds. The core was now some sort of vortex or portal. Needless to say, something is about to happen and nobody knows, not even the storm itself.

Jessica just sort of looked at Jennifer as if she were speaking R'lyehian, glancing around at the situation. What did her voyager training say about this anyway? ...It said to avoid fights with the natives when possible.

Gee, that was helpful. Suddenly chaos was breaking out and something was exploding, suddenly there was a bodycount, suddenly the pretense of honor was thrown out the window. This act of mass scale terrorism brings heroes crawling out of the woodworks. Even seemingly wild pokemon begin to show up without a trainer in sight, spurred into action by the act of senseless cruelty.

The robed man is not one of them. He takes one look at the carnage and decides to ignore it--How unheroic! He instead tends to his wounded Xatu. "Let's find out where they're going and head them off." he states simply. Xatu's eyes glow with psychic power, peering through time and space to help him find a place to wait. The robed man and his pokemon then vanish in a beam of light.

Meanwhile, pokemon begin to rise into the sky. A pidgeot leads the charge with hundreds of pokemon following suit, either with their own wings or on the backs of others. They just keep coming, riddling the sky with angry faces and a chorus of battlecries. A veritable hailstorm of shockwaves are the first thing to rip through the air itself, forcefully dismembering even gasses as they soar through the storm. The second thing that comes is the counter storm itself. Blasts of hurricane force winds sail up into the celestial storm at well over 200 miles per hour, attempting to forcefully disperse the dismembered matter.

Jessica watched the burning building in horror, frozen in place where she stood.
