The United Pokemon League is the federal government of Ruula and the governing force behind it's military.

Theme song: Hell's Gate Open (Remastered by ChaoticMarin)
Battle Theme: Battle Against A True Heroine (music by Toby Fox, metal cover by Ferdk, lyrics by Milkychan)

Her 5 foot 6 muscular yet shapely frame from a lifetime of turning wrenches, jacking up a car and changing tires is incongruously endowed in the chest area. This in turn led to her preference for loose-fitting shirts, but the demands of working in the garage often force her to change into something a bit tighter. When she's not training her Pokémon, she's busy machining parts, fixing lights or leaning over a drawing table tinkering with design concepts.

Personality

Beneath a hard exterior and a razor-sharp tongue lies a scared little girl. This "armor" was cultivated to allow her to survive in the cutthroat, male-dominated professions of both mechanics and Pokémon training, but it can be and has been broken. Before that happens, though, she's more than willing to fight every unwanted advance tooth and nail if she must, believing that evil will only prevail when good folk allow it to do so. She is also surprisingly persistent in her efforts to take down a particularly loathsome foe, to the point of foolhardiness.

Perhaps because of these past experiences, or maybe because she's so used to winning, she's a bit of a sore loser, prone to throw punches at the victor in a temper tantrum. The sense of being on the butt end of some cosmic practical joke constantly weighs her down, leading to having a hard time letting her guard down and genuinely enjoying herself.

Equipment

As an ex-member of the League and a wanna-be car designer, Titania often takes her work with her. A heavy toolbox not only carries various sundries such as flashlights, wrenches, sketches and snacks, but also her Poké Balls and other tools of the Trainer's trade.

Her celebrity status also means that she keeps two phone numbers, one on her cell phone for personal affairs and a second League-issued number to be used only for official business--when someone calls that number, it's almost never good news.

Her choice of team members is dominated by the steel-type, and several of them even speak the language of humans. Recently, she's taken an interest in the newly discovered fairy-type, looking to them to bolster her lineup.

-Ulysses (Empoleon): Level 71 Calm nature, defensive with some special attack investment, Leftovers
Aqua Jet, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Substitute, Toxic, Roar.
"Terrifying scream."

-Tesla (Magnezone): Level 69, Modest nature, bulky special attacker, Air Balloon
Charge Beam, Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt, Substitute, Volt Switch, Tri Attack
"Through boiling clouds of thunder, blasting bolts of steel."

-Huntress (Lucario): Level 68, Jolly, fast physical attacker, Life Orb
Crunch, Extremespeed, Retaliate, Ice Punch, Close Combat, Rock Slide
"Faster than a bullet."

-Ferrothorn: Level 60, Impish, defensive pivot and hazard setter
Power Whip, Gyro Ball, Curse, Explosion, Spikes, Swagger
"Rides the Metal Monster."

-Mawile: Level 64, Adamant, bulky physical attacker
Play Rough, Iron Head, Protect, Sucker Punch, Fire Fang, Misty Terrain
"Nevermore encaptured."

-Alolan Dugtrio: Level 63, Jolly, fast revenge killer
Earthquake, Sucker Punch, Rock Slide, Substitute, Slash, Giga Impact
"Stronger, free and brave."

History

As a child, she kept taking things apart in order to figure out how they worked, but she often didn't bother with reversing the process, which caused much grief in the household. Then her brother was born, and things got really hectic as he decided to take after his mother. On the plus side, Titania was rumored to be a terror on the drag strip in school. Driving soon gave way to maintenance, but her appreciation for Pokémon was born when a Piplup pushed her to the surface during a spring break scuba expedition gone wrong.

Due to the demands of her job as an Elite Four member, she often found herself tackling the most dangerous threats to the integrity of the League and its members, and these efforts have recently taken their toll in the form of being captured and subjected to horrific experiments by a particularly wicked Zoroark by the name of Ahriman.

Destroyed by this constant abuse, she ran back to the one man she knew she could trust: Gabriel Taylor, with whom she had once had a short, torrid relationship in college, gaining shelter and employment as an unassuming-looking janitor at a swanky bar. History has a way of catching up with the people that seek to outrun it, however, and the new Champion, Rithika, sought her out for her extensive experience in denting many a sinister operation, causing her to take up the Poké Ball once again.

This second quest met with mixed emotional results, but did culminate in the death of Ahriman at the hands of his own spitting image, Tungsten. Her official business with the Terran League more or less concluded, she refused a merit-based spot in the League hierarchy for her deeds, claiming that "I'd rather work for it just like everybody else has to." Ultimately, her challenge for the throne was thwarted.

Rumors that Ahriman's siblings might be out for revenge has driven Titania to run all the way to Ruula to join the United Pokémon League there, and while she has made a few friends there, it might also be the place where she's forced to make her last stand against foes both old and new. Perhaps the androids modeled after the legendary Trainers of old could prove the key to exorcising her personal demons once and for all, but mustering up the courage and skill to defeat just one of them after all she's been through...aye, there's the rub. So skilled were they, or perhaps so shaken was she, that she abdicated her position as Indigo Champion there after losing to one on an expedition, to be succeeded eventually by Winter Sakkio much to her relief while she quietly retired to Alola, a place far removed from Kanto where Pokémon and human alike would have a hard time finding her again...only to meet the champion of the fledgling League there, and likely be swept up into another adventure.

So begins...

Titania Brightsmith sat down in a well-lit area of the room, at one of the wall booths, and picked up the menu. It seemed a slow night, as one of the robot wait staff came right over. "Relax, tin can, I'm not gonna strip your screws. Just get me a Reuben and a strawberry daiquiri."

Titania Brightsmith pulled out some writing tools and a few large sheets of paper, and spread the latter across the table to reveal a half-finished design for what looked like a concept car. Arrows pointed to various parts of the car itself, while a good portion of the remaining white space was filled with diagrams and computations. She was obviously the sort that liked to take her work with her, but it was odd for her to have time enough to sit down and have a proper meal.

Titania Brightsmith nodded. "Good eye. I've been tinkering with this over the last couple of weeks, but I never seem to get anywhere with the engine design. I'm better with bodywork, but it's always been my dream to design an entire car."

Titania Brightsmith suddenly seemed to have a burst of inspiration from the sudden interaction, and began pulling more and more pieces of looseleaf from her toolbox on the floor to get rough sketches of variations on a theme for some part or other. In her haste, a red and white sphere slipped out and fell onto the floor with a series of soft taps.

Titania Brightsmith stops drawing after knocking out what looks like the twentieth version of whatever she was drawing, then holds it at arm's length. "Yeah, yeah I can see that working. Bit of a trade-off between acceleration and torque here." Dropping the sheet and leaning over the table to get a better idea of how it would fit in the grander design meant that now was a prime opportunity for those driven by baser instincts to peer down her collar at the sizable underlying assets. At the same time, the dropped sphere skitters across the floor, driven by the impetus of a random patron's foot.

Titania Brightsmith reached down for some tape to affix the sketch to the larger design as a reminder for later, when she noticed something that was apparently very important to her. Turning to one of her new admirers, she said with a perfectly straight face, as if such a request was normal: "Could you look around and see if a little red and white ball is lying around? If I can't find it by the time I leave, I could get in major trouble."

Titania Brightsmith dropped her writing utensils. "Forget it, just help me look. You search over by the main entrance, I'll start from the back and we should meet halfway. I can NOT lose him!"

Titania Brightsmith soon had her burning question answered by a loud pop and a brilliant display of light emanating from a table over by the back door, the result of which was the appearance of a creature that resembled a penguin, but rose to the height of a child who was big for his age. "Oh, there you are, Empoleon! Your ball must have slipped out while I was working!"

Titania Brightsmith scarfs down her meal, slaps a few bills into the robot waiter's hand, then leaves seeming to be in some sort of hurry. The change of scenery had been rather good for getting past a mental block in the design process, but she really did need to get back to training.

Titania Brightsmith had had just about enough of this. Setting her tool chest down on the floor, she withdrew not a heavy wrench, but a small spherical object. One half of it was colored red, and the other was a matte white. She tossed it in the general direction of the violence. "Skarmory, get in gear!"

Titania Brightsmith wasted no time as the awkwardness that followed her introduction ensued. "Skarmory, floor it with Brave Bird!" The three-foot-tall metal avian zoomed forward in a low approach, them suddenly swept up at the last second, aiming to spear the gun out of the assailant's hand. She was better than those detestable Chains, who attacked people directly.

Titania Brightsmith got up and left...obviously the only thing people wanted to do here was fight. Not the sort of place she wanted to have a mimosa in.

Titania Brightsmith came in, oddly relaxed for one that held a position in a field as high as hers. The Grand Opening of a new branch of the Pokemon League was to take place soon, and she had done well enough to be second only to the Champion herself in the initial pecking order. Of course, where there were powerful people on one side of the line between good and evil, the other was never far behind in catching up. Perhaps that was the way things ought to be.

Titania Brightsmith immediately started sizing up the situation. Was the man whose life was snuffed out armed? What was the nature of the victor's powers? Why did this whole thing get started, anyway? Too many questions, not enough answers to risk using her Pokemon to find out. She simply bent over a schematic of her latest project and tried not to be singled out by he murderer.

Titania Brightsmith might, under different circumstances, portrayed herself as one of unyielding spirit and resolve, just like the Steel-type monsters she loved so much, but the fact remained that someone had just died in front of her...a cursory examination of the body revealed a lack of breathing. Lividity would set in within hours, and she would have to make a quiet exit and give an anonymous tip about the murder later.

Titania Brightsmith came back in after making a call, concerned both over the murder she saw a while ago (hell yeah, this place was seedy, but there was nowhere better to meet people). However, she was also keenly aware that this sort of place would attract the person she hoped to meet tonight, and it would provide a welcome relief from drafting designs for new parts.

Titania Brightsmith motioned for Ashidato to sit down next to her at the booth. "Sup. So, a little Chatot told me you were gonna be some kinda hotshot leader in the new league? Well, consider me one of your bosses. Titania Brightsmith, Elite Four backstop. Can I get you something?"

Titania Brightsmith shrugged. "Yeah, sure, but not here. This place has seen enough violence for one day." Her voice trailed off, as if not wishing to talk about the details.

Titania Brightsmith nodded and drank her share. "I was thinking the Arena, though we'll have to work something out with whoever owns the joint if we're going to use it on a regular basis. Got your gym all set up yet? I can come in tomorrow and help if you need a gearhead or something."

Titania Brightsmith nodded. "Oh, you wanted one now? Sorry, been worried sick about our fearless leader. I know where I am in the pecking order, but I at least want to know who the heck the dude above me is. I gotta eat and run, but maybe after things settle down a bit, we can have a little three on three singles."

Titania Brightsmith walked into Gambit's once more, getting kind of frustrated at how the identity of the Champion was being kept under wraps. At least she was getting to meet the various leaders that would be working for her, which would be good. The life of a League member was inherently lonely, so contact like this with like-minded individuals was essential. "Hey, nice Charizard. What brings you here, of all places?"

Titania Brightsmith nodded to this nugget of wisdom. "Yeah, it's nice to get a change of scenery every once in a while. I mean, it's okay to have a hobby, but everything in moderation, right?"

Titania Brightsmith could sympathize with those that smoked. Some of her best friends at the shop were having trouble kicking the habit, but she always made sure to accompany them when they went outside to smoke so they didn't feel lonely. She even thought about trying it herself, but ultimately it came down to smokes or food, and she went for the latter.
