Description



Tommelise is enthusiastic and sweet. She has a wild sense for adventure,
and loves to go camping. Her favorite scent is of freshly trimmed grass and
daisies. She makes all of her own clothes, and was thinking of starting a
fashion line for Pokemon. Tommelise has never seen snow before, and has
only gone swimming once. Most of the time, it's grasslands for her!

A young lady wearing loose cargo shorts, a a light purple shirt and sporting hair that literally looked like flames done up in ponytails placed her hands on her hips as she stumbled her way into Lavaridge Town, observing the humble town with a note of pride in her achievment of getting there. So this was where Flannery ran things, eh? From what she gathered, Flannery was her type of girl. Or at least, that's what she presumed based on their mutual love of fire types and fashion sense to some degree. Now... where to go first, was the question. Hot springs and warm sands tempted her, as well as the gym. Another part of her was just... well... indecisive!

"This is gonna be great this is gonna be great!" Tommelise picked up Thumb and whirled him around, The pokemon squealed in delight, leaf appendage fluttering in the winds.

"We're here," Ckickiiii!
"We're all by ourselves!" CkikiCkiiiii!
"And we're gonna have sososososSO MUCH FUN!"

"Oh, you are so right, Thumb! First stop, grass shop! Do they uh," She looked around at the bus stop, for the first time truly taking in the town. Hm, there didn't seem to be much grass. Tommelise shifted Thumb to her hip.

"Looks like we're on the hunt, thumb," The orange haired girl said, walking up the road towards...Well, who know!

Up ahead, Thumb seemed to spot someone else. "Why you're right, Thumb!" Tommelise replied, "Our hair does kinda match! Ooh, I like her shirt. What a color!" Thumb and his Tommelise couldn't help but look and chatter with smiles.

Lizzy became aware of voices behind her. They referred to her looks. Now, she wasn't one to brag--Okay maybe a little. Point being, she didn't mind being flattered at all. She swayed her hips slightly before resting her weight on one hip as she turned her head to look behind her and spotted Tommelise from the corner of her eyes. She bore a smile on her face. Tomm might notice that she had a single pokeball clutched in one hand. A trainer, and they met eyes!

Decidedly, Lizzy waited for the other female to close the distance in hopes that they might get to talk.

She flipped her hair, straightened her posture, and shot a dashing smile at the other girl with a subtle eyebrow waggle. Their hair matched, and being fire haired, this was exceptionally cool.

Tommelise made no hesitation. She walked over to the other girl with a smile on her face.

"Hey! Purple is the color of violets!"

Lizzy's eyes widened ever so briefly at Tommelise' actions. O-Oh what? Tommelise, you flirt! Needless to say, she was impressed. Finally, Lizzy turned to face Tommelise and addressed her with a chill expression on her face. She was friendly, to say the least.

"I hear there's a sandstorm" she remarked in an off-hand manner, gesturing to the goggles resting on her head. She had a more tomboyish outfit out of the two of them to say the least. "My name's Lizz, but you can call me Flare." she said, gesturing to herself passively. "What's a cutie like you doing traveling alone all the way out here?~" she continued on. Was /she/ flirting?

"Sandstorm?" Cki? Tommelise looked at the goggles, suddenly wishing she had a pair. She bit her lip absentmindedly, but upon the introduction her worry fell into a smile.

"Hey Flare, I'm Tommelise. Out here? Alone? Well, Thumb here has always wanted to taste all the grasses of the world," Ckiikiii cki! "And I'm collecting styles, for this super secret project i've been working on." Tommelise grinned and jostled her backpack.

"Oh, you can call me Tomm. Say, where did you get those goggles?" Thumb was attempting to hide in her hair, sensing something brewing.

Lizzy nodded approvingly at Tommelise' answer, though she couldn't help but find Tomm a hilariously masculine sounding nickname. She declined to mention this however. "Well, I'm not sure what the grass around here is like. Sooty--I guess. There's the hot springs though~" she suggested idley. "...These Goggles? I got them from a store." she explained casually, looking around. "I don't think they sell any around here though." she finished, silently noting Tomme's worry.

Lilly proceeded to pull off her goggles and hold them out to the other female, winking slightly. "...You can have mine." she stated simply. "It wouldn't be very gentlemanly of me to leave such a lovely lady in distress in the middle of a sandstorm~" she went on to tease. As if on cue however, a cloud of powerfully rushing sand barreled towards the town from behind Lizzy.

Better put those conveniently located goggles on quick, missy.

Tommelise looked to Flare, then rubbed the sand from her eyes and calmed her flailing clothes. Thumb had nestled on her shoulders, giving Tommelise an idea. She grabbed one end of her ponytail and proceeded to wrap it around her face.

Heef 'em! She said from behind the hair, grinning.

The sand was immediately and permanently blinding. Though she could rub it away, any attempts at opening her eyes would result in more sand immediately assaulting her. It was quite the storm. For a moment, Flare clutched at her own eyes and choked on the sand as she had been taken by slight surprise. How embarassing. She weakly wrapped her arm around her mouth, using her sleeve as a filter to get oxygen in without the sand. After she caught her breath, she rubbed at her eyes a bit and slipped her goggles on before finally opening them.

...Man, screw sandstorms. Regardless, she figured that she should take Tomme's advise and get the distortion world out of there. Letting Tomme walk on her own was unideal though, because well... she was blind! She could get hurt! Thus, Lizzy crouched down and took the liberty of crawling betwixt Tommelise' legs, standing back up from there at such an angle to let Tomme fall into a piggyback ride.

"Hey--Let's get inside!" her muffled voice said over the roar of the storm, and without further ado she began walking, assuming Tomme didn't totally kick her to death or something for the stunt she'd just pulled. Even with the goggles, she was honestly still half-blind. She was looking for a door--Any door would do for now.

"YHHHHHH!" Tommelise was completely taken by surprise, but wrapped her legs around Flare's waist anyhow. Clutching at Flare for dear life, she let herself be carried, only finally shouting, "THMMM!"

Thumb crawled all over the two of them, and would be clutching Flare's leg despite it's probably movement. His leaf was wrapped over his breathing parts.

Flare coughed a bit and choked slightly on the sand, her hands instead gripping Tomme's upper thighs in an effort to make sure she didn't lose her balance and fall off. After a moment she gave up the effort, trusting Tomme to hold on for dear life. She then covered her mouth with her sleeve, stumbling over to a nearby door where she knocked in a semi-urgent manner.

No answer.

Flare grimaced and knocked harder.

No. Answer.

She silently glared at the door. Chances are the person was out of the house, so she stopped bothering, and instead looked for the glowing roof of the pokemon center. Tomme might be blind, but Flare was there for her. She wouldn't leave the other female hanging--figuratively anyway~

After several long moments of stumbling along, she came into view of the pokemon center and moved up to it's door.

The door did not open automatically as it should have. ...Crud. It appeared everyone had locked down their buildings, probably to prevent sand from getting in. Then, to Flare's relief, the door to the pokemon center slid open and she stumbled inside, the door closing behind them. Finally, they were out of the storm. Flare promptly collapsed onto her knees however, and then fell to her hands and knees without even letting Tomme off her back. She had managed to exhaust herself.

The local nurse joy stared at the two girls for a moment with concern before a smile took over her face. She could tell neither of them were seriously hurt. "I'm glad you both made it--But miss, you'll have to return your ponyta to it's ball~" the nurse said in a mock serious tone. It took flare a moment to realize the nurse was making fun her being on all fours with fiery hair and someone on her back, but she would take the joke well by looking up slowly and grinning weakly in return.

Tommelise Leef was suddenly sprawled across the floor, pulling hair and sand from her eyes. Thumb crawled towards Tommelise, pawing at her for his pok e ball.

Flare stood back up and brushed herself off briefly before heading off and returning with a glass of water and a cloth she' obtained from one of the locals. Dipping the cloth into the water, she knelt down next to Tomme and began to gently rub the cloth across Tomme's face, wiping away any lingering sand. She made sure to take extra care around the eyes."Hey~" she remarked, winking slightly if Tomme chose to open her eyes. "See why these goggles are such a big deal?" she proceeded on to ask.

Lizzy stood up and shook her head briefly, moving over to a PC before realizing she had no need to use it. She then sighed in a somewhat disappointed manner and moved to sit down with some of the other people in the pokemon center seeking shelter, moving to her pack and digging through it for a bottle of water she was confident she'd left there.

"..."

She said little, something apparently on her mind, leaving Tommelise to her own business for the moment being. But really, they were likely stuck in this pokemon center for a while. The two had to talk sooner or later.

Flare just sort of looked over at Tommelise for a moment, giving her a confused look as if unsure how to respond before finally (wo)manning up to the challenge. "Well--I don't really know!" she responded, shrugging helplessly. "It could be here for weeks, or under an hour. I'm... not really a meteorologist." she admitted rather awkwardly, trying to imply that she frankly had no idea how sandstorms worked.

She had decided that Lavaridge was not the place for her. After only a few minutes here, there was a deadly sand storm that had almost offed her, and her new friend. Not a good place , no! The reds were surely inspiring, but...

Tommelise purchased a bus ticket out of there, to where she wasn't certain yet. It was a free stop ticket, meaning she could get off wherever. After purchasing a few bottled waters -and some goggles- Tommelise and Thumb plopped down at the bus stop. She withdrew her sketchbook, Thumb curled up in the shade, and they waited.

Thumb squealed as the bus pulled up to Nimbasa City, awakening Tommelise. She grabbed her pack, following the excited pokemon off of the bus and into the city. Wow!

They both marveled for a moment at the skyline. They had seen pictures, but it was sure impressive in person.
