The Suzerain of the Eastern Draconic Kingdom is a massive, fully grown Blue dragon of indomitable power and might. His sheer presence can send lesser beings into a frenzied panic, running madly to try and flee from the dragon that is over thirty feet tall. His eyes are a pale, milky yellow, as he is blind, though that does not mean he cannot sense someone. The eyes glow a bright indigo at times, which usually is most of the time. His massive scales are polished and well kept, and he never has a speck of sand or grit on him. His claws and wing tips, teeth, and horn are all gilded in solid gold, and his vestment is a stunning, sapphire encrusted cloak that drapes over his dorsal spines. Large, arcane carvings and tattoos cover his body, including his wings. He dwarfs regular humans, and may even unwittingly kill them with a misstep, tiny little things that they are.

So begins...

Tyretlethen's Story

Tyretlethen waved his hands around his throat and muttered a magic incantation. With the volume of his voice far louder, he stood up and raised his arms, his gravelly voice pounding out loud and clear. "Attention patrons. The grand, illustrious Suzerain, Dragon King of the East, Tyretlethen, will soon grace the bar with his presence. So if you could please just bow when he comes in, it'd be healthier for you. This guy is royalty, legit royalty. Treat him as such." the wizard said, looking at each of the patrons. He took a deep drink of his liquor and sighed. Time to get this over with...

There was a violent gust against the building, as if here had been a sudden gale outside. Every loose object in the bar rumbled and shook as whatever it was landed in the street outside. No more than a second later, there was a thunderous roar, several windows cracking violently. It was hard to distinguish just what it was from inside the bar, but whatever it was, it was alot of scales, and alot of blue, covered in rugged, navy colored tattoos. The bars to Gambit's opened seeming of their own accord as a massive, scaly blue face barely pushed its way into the bar room. Teeth came to mind, then yellow eyes. The dragon's entire face was covered with intricate markings and inset sapphires, a massive gilded crown sitting around the impossible horn jutting from the center of the beast's snout. There was silence.

Tyretlethen was not about to be ignored and immediately surged towards Axel to eat him whole as punishment for not bowing to his glory.

Tyretlethen failed to gulp down Axel due to his aura of obliviousness and opted instead to pause and laugh at the red dragoness taunting him so expectedly. It was a harsh, booming sound that did not sit well with mammals. He now spoke for the first time, his voice deep and infinite, holding the wisdom of over a millennium of knowledge. "I would expect nothing other than a lowly insult from a barbaric red such as yourself." he said slowly, his curious yellow eyes unblinking. He tested the air with his tongue, and inhaled deeply, causing a mild breeze in the bar.

"If you can't bother to speak to me in your true form..." Tyretlethen hissed, "then find another exit like all the other wretches before me." he said, somewhat bemused. He had negligible respect for the lowly Red he'd never even heard of. What dragon in their right mind would want to change their form that was already so perfect and beautiful. Granted, no form was as beautiful as the blue, but regardless...

As such, he remained where he was, the royalty perfectly content to do as he pleased. If the little red continued to be a pest, he wouldn't sully his pallet with her blood. Better to just turn her meager form into a mindless thrall like so many others..

Tyretlethen was about to respond to the challenge of battle when his servant approached. He listened to Grey's argument and grinned. He shifted his neck to the side, allowing the medics to slip through, if only so that he may spite the Red in front of him.

"Your petty presumptions amuse me, whelp. If you truly wish to challenge the might of Tyretlethen, Suzerain of the East, it shall not be here." the blue dragon thundered, sending a glare at his son. Blue dragons did not act out in such petty ways. "No, we shall venture to this city's arena to do battle, in accordance with the law of the realm. Not that you would know of such things." the dragon king said slowly, suddenly looking very serious. His sapphire scales glinted on every surface of the bar, adding only to his overwhelming brilliance.

The great wyrm shifted his head ever so slightly to regard Ace. "I apologize for my son's actions, human. He should know better." he said, hissing up at the wyrmling at the end of the statement. "Still...for your sake, I would request that you refrain from making assumptions about others honor that you apparently know nothing of." the Suzerain said deeply, not at all amused. He settled deeper in his seated position, aware of the hidden challenge that still remained between himself and the red.

"Your modicum of arcane knowledge does not dissuade my judgement." Tyretlethen said flatly. He did not continue, closing the conversation then and there. In all actuality, he was perfectly aware of what the being was, but that did not mean he had any true worth to his name. He was just power made manifest. Tyretlethen was that already, plus he was rich, and had a legacy to follow his name. His milky eyes remained motionless as he perused the rest of the inhabitants. His gold covered claws clicked on the floor boards loudly. Obviously these others were so oblivious they could hardly be considered sentient. A pity. He inflected his massive snout towards Grey.

"Eustace...tell me. Are all patrons of this bar so without civil behavior?"

Tyretlethen chortled loudly at Ace's final remark. Obviously, the fact that he didn't get paid for his services made him either gullible or a slave. Hardly worth his notice. And so, the whelp creature would insult and threaten, but nothing would come of it. He'd seen this type before, and the were extremely predictable. Was Tyretlethen self-obsessed? Yes, and rightly so. He was a Blue Dragon after all, nature's pinnacle of beauty.

Tyretlethen raised his equivalent of an eyebrow at Red. He turned his head to the human child. "Of course I did not eat your parents, little human boy. Human are quite unfitting stock for the stomach of a king such as myself." he said simply, and went back to contemplating how incredibly incredible he was.

Tyretlethen hummed lowly, a deep pulsating sound that was audible only through the vibrations running through the patron's feet. The ancient dragon lifted his head off the ground ever so slightly. Why the Wizard Grey ever visited such an unrefined dump was beyond him, but then again, perhaps it was merely something only a human could appreciate. Seeing as his own visit with the bar was concluded, the Suzerain, slow slid his head out from the door way, the floor where it had rested pocked and scratched. With a roaring yawn, the Great Wyrm stretched his wings and neck. From outside, he bellowed in Draconic. *Red Dragonness. We shall be in touch.*

That was all, and it was honest, though considering the draconic scale of time that could be anywhere within a day to a week. With one, hurricane flap of his wings, he rocketed into the sky, father and son bellowing their cries of glory.

Tyretlethen rumbled lowly as the fae scrubbed his hide, being merely dolls in scale to his massive size. He shifted his weight to his right legs, causing the water in the pool to shift with a large wave. He looked at the wizard Grey and his little friend with bemused interest. He yawned, a great groaning sound that was made deafening by the walls of the cave. He looked at the two for a while longer then spoke softly...for him.

"Get in." he said.

Tyretlethen leaned forward, causing another small surge in the water. "That's not the only reason though, is it?" the massive dragon asked. He knew what Grey was up to; the wizard wanted his son back. That wouldn't do at all, there had been an agreement made and it was too late to go back on it now. They both knew this.

"Theredax has not greeted you?" the dragon continued, testing the air with his tongue, figuring out the speculations of this younger man Grey had with him. He was definitely of the arcane dint, that much was certain. Perhaps he could be of use...

Tyretlethen laughed lowly, a sharp, choppy sound that could only be heard in the stomach. "Perhaps you're right, but the contract I signed as your sponsor has not yet expired. I'll get you a new magic shop, wizard, just make sure this one is in a better locale." the dragon hissed, not actually upset, but sending a definite message. Tyretlethen did not want to discuss the viable return of his son to Grey within any short time, and decided to rapidly change the subject.

"You there, boy. What is your name?" the Suzerain rumbled, moving his massive snout close to Roy's face. The gold that covered his horn, teeth, and claws glinted softly in the light of the fungus.

Tyretlethen grinned, and pulled his snout back, but not after having a healthy sniff of the boy. Interesting. "Nervous? My boy, I understand that dragons have a certain impact on your human psyche, but us blue dragons are perfectly civilized, unlike the savages that take part in most legends. Tell me, what is your field of study?" Tyretlethen asked in his booming voice. His massive, yellow glowing eyes looked on at the young man with vested interest. Perhaps a potential replacement for Grey...

Tyretlethen laughed again, making the entire cave vibrate. "Iiinteresting. Dedication, intelligence, comprehension. All valuable in an understudy. Tell me, have you been learning from Master Grey?" Tyretlethen asked, his tongue snaking out of his mouth for a moment.

Tyretlethen tilted his draconic head, a strange smile on his massive face. "Admirable, to a degree. Rules are indeed valuable and define our morality, but it is never good to consent to unworthy limitations. I'm sure Grey has told you this. Perhaps you would like to learn as he did, from me personally?" Tyretlethen said coyly. If this didn't work by sheer coercion alone, there was always magic to be relied on, but that was always a last resort. A last resort that was used quite often, considering half of his thralls were charmed, but he liked to give humans a chance.

Tyretlethen was honestly taken aback. It was a completely different answer than Grey had given him decades ago. The boy did not crave power, he craved knowledge, and Tyretlethen could respect that. The Suzerain mulled over the response for a moment then laughed again. Hoisting his massive frame out of the bath, torrents of water fell from his body before he clambered over to the small deck above the pool. Using his Destroy Water ability, he instantly dried himself off and began to pad his way up into the citadel.

"Both of you are welcome to stay as long as you with, and use any and all studies you need during that time." Tyretlethen boomed. "I look forward to supper." he said, simultaneously giving a command and temporary farewell.

Tyretlethen grunted in response to Roy. He had never actually had employees before; that's what the golems were for. Still, the boy proved resourceful, and perhaps if he couldn't get Theredax back...it was an interesting proposition. "I'll think about it" he grumbled, Knocking the door open to the Television room. The sandstone walls reflected the massive twelve foot screen quite well, as the litany of monster sized cushions littered the floor. Tyretlethen lay resplendent on the cushions, draped in a massive blue colored robe covered in vast quantities of sapphires.

"Suzerain." Grey said, bowing slightly before entering the room and standing next to the dragon king.

Tyretlethen perked his ears up ever so slightly as the pair entered, and subsequently turned his head lazily to regard the two mages. "Wizard Grey, Mr. Cullen." he said softly, which was still loud. "Have a seat. Help yourself to some food."

The food was, of course, a variety of carrion and desert plants, and Tyretlethen knew that it must seem repugnant to humans, but he was curious to see their actions in face of the proposition. Especially Roy.

"You're welcome to it, if you change your mind." the Suzerain boomed, reaching out with his neck and nabbing the hind quarter of a manticore. With a loud snap, he swallowed the tender meat whole, an arc of electricity running down his spines. The dragon watched the stock reports in silence for a long time, an awkward silence falling over the room.

After a while, he cleared his throat, a massive snarling sound and flexed his wings. "I'm going out for my mid-morning flight. Care to join me?" he boomed, lowering his head down to the level of the two humans.

Tyretlethen got up slowly and stretched almost like a cat before bellowing quite loudly. Padding over to the ledge that let the outside light in, the Suzerain unfurled his wings to their full size and let the sun gather on them. "Theredax, come with us, won't you?" he boomed from the outside. Not really waiting to see if anyone was going to catch up, the Suzerain fell from the ledge in a steep dive, before leveling out still several hundred feet above the desert floor.

Tyretlethen soared on the updrafts of the desert, weaving between massive sandstone pillars that decked the mesa around The Citadel. His massive roar boomed off of the orange, sand walls as he cruised, occasionally looking back with a toothy grin to see if his followers were keeping up. Only Grey would probably be close, at all.

Slowing down so that the wind did not cover his words, Tyretlethen called to Roy. "Tell me Roy, for what reasons do you study your craft?"

Tyretlethen rumbled for a moment, a sign he was thinking deeply. "...knowledge can be made false. Are the perpetrators of such acts evil to you?" the Suzerain asked.
