The idea for this character came from "Who the F is my DND character". Vyri's profile is new and under construction. I was determined to use the very first result that the site gave to me for a new character. I was given, "Resourceful Elf from an isolated monastery who has been exiled twice under different names."

So begins...

Vyri gives a half laugh to Zinnastine Gellantara as he hears, yet another, one of her pick up lines. She's called him out on a daily basis for as long as he remembers doing the run through the Emporium. It wasn't far from the port. Vyri gives her a wave then pulls his satchel tight. "Right back atcha Zinna." A couple of sparks of light flashed out of his hair as he began to jog toward port.

Molly Bronson had to get away from work, and anyone related to it, and so the tall blonde had made her way to Proxi. She had some spare money to burn here. Dressed for the warm weather, she none the less wore a skirt. She was off duty, and the tights would keep her modesty in tact. More importantly, she was ready to have some fun again. Screw work. She was going shopping so far from it, it didn't even matter. She noticed Vyri curiously, the sparks of light from his hair catching her attention. "Huh. Don't see that everyday."

Vyri spotted the blonde glancing at him. Vyri didn't spot the lumbering giant drop a large wooden pole. The pole hit the ground with enough force to crack some of the cobble. It stood in one spot long enough for Vyri to hit it with the side of his face first. Then his shoulder hit. Then his body hit. Then his leg hit. Vyri spun from the impact and caught himself with his forearms and knees. His satchel spilled open, a few small pouches rolled out. The giant stopped the pole from falling completely to the ground. That mattered little to Vyri. What mattered was those pouches. -Crunch. Crunch-

Two steel wheels rolled over them. A wagon drawn by a biometal horse crushed the contents of the pouches and kept trotting along. Vyri simply stared, dumbfounded.

Molly watched in horror as this happened and wasn't quite quick enough to stop it. She jogged to his side and knelt down beside him. "Hey. Are you okay? That looked like it hurt." she could muster the ability to heal it, if needed, even if it wasn't her most practiced skill out there. He looked more than a little stunned if nothing else.

She hadn't noticed the pouches or the destruction there.

Vyri glanced from the pouches to the blonde. "Eh?" He looked at the scrapes on his elbows, his jeans were a bit frayed, his shirt was fine. Ironically, it had upside down text that read "If you can read this, pick me up."

"The pouches... S.. Shit." He reached out to them before any further destruction was to be had on this fine day. He opened them. "No... Not okay. This'll cost me..." Inside the two pouches was colorful, broken, glass. A blue plume of smoke billowed out when he opened the pouches, but was gone in just a short moment. "A lot..."

She glanced to them and frowned. "You also got a good smack upside your head." The woman said, and then stood, offering him a hand. "What was in them?" Other than glass, and judging by the smoke, so kind of magic. "I'm Molly by the way." Geez, she didn't have the funds to really throw around anymore. Well, she did, but not the the local currency. That was always the trickier part of planeswalking. Local currency was harder to acquire than most would assume.

Whatever was in the pouches was clearly important to him, he seemed pretty upset by their loss. She hoped they weren't too pricey, despite what he said.

Vyri sighed and got up with Molly's help. "Work, work was in them. Two weeks wages." He brushed off, not worried about the bump or scrapes. "Couple hundred Ӎ." He looked her over. "Eh, not local, multiversal credits."

"YOU GOOD LITTLE RED?" The voice boomed not four feet from behind Vyri. The noise caused him to wince but not jump. "SORRY. FINGER SLIPPED." The giant finished.

"Yes, I'm alive... Poorer, but alive." He shook his head and looked back to Molly. "Vyri." He offered a hand to shake.

"Nice to meet you Vyri." She shook his hand firmly. "And local enough. I can't use them back home after all." She was just glad he as okay. The giant seemed a little worried too. It was rather nice to not be the tallest. Molly smiled to him.

"Poorer and alive is better than poorer and dead. Shame about your work though." she assumed he meant that he had made the objects, rather than had bought them.

Vyri realized she was just taller than he was. "Follow me to the port? Gotta turn in what's left of the delivery, get yelled at by them... Then get yelled at by the boss. After that, you look like you've got something in mind." His hair gave a pulse of pink light. "Care to let me in on it?" He smirked.

"GOOD LUCK LITTLE RED. PRETTY LADY. MAYBE SCORE?" The giant chuckled and returned to lifting the large poles.

With that, red pulsed into Vyri's face as fast as light pulsed from his hair. He just gave a nervous chuckle. "Eh heh. A kidder here, huh? I meant, would ya mind me tagging along? Could show you around the lesser known shops and the like. Y'know, better deals and all."

That surprised a laugh out of Molly. "I'll go with you, but you're not quite my type for scoring." she teased gently. "Even if you are taller than most of my dates." When she went on dates. The dating this was tricky at times. Molly grinned to Vyri, rather amused at this point. "I wouldn't mind a guide though. I almost never make it all the way out to Proxi." Though the place was nice enough, to be sure, and had some of the most interesting things she had seen.

Including, right now, someone who's hair apparently lit up. That was definitely new, and she was most definitely curious as to the why. Could be a species thing, but it might be a magic thing, and it if was, she wanted to learn it.

Vyri blushed again. "Follow me." He proceeded to walk, instead of jog, this time. "How long have you been here? I was born here, some... ninety years ago." Was it ninety? He hardly kept count. "You know, us pointy ears." He chuckled. "I'm apparently special." He pointed to the hair. "Some anomaly with some of us that are born here. Figure being special and all would have made my job finding a bit easier." He paused, trying to keep from glancing her over. "Negative."

"I'm glad it caught your eyes. Though, only partially." He smirked. If it hadn't been for that he'd be a couple weeks wages ahead, not behind. "Five minutes... You don't have money here then. Got to head to the port anyways."

"Pfff-hah!" He ruffled his hair. "Course not, figures my luck is at an all time high today."

"Though jus' cause the attraction is one way, doesn't mean we can't have a bit of fun on town. I intend to have- OOF"

It was the second time he'd met the ground today. This time was more swift than the last. His foot got caught on Seph's body appearing in the middle of the walk way. Everything went black.

Seph flailed somewhat, but regained his balance, taking some kind of martial arts stance at the tangle of limbs fallign in front of him. Once he was sure the man meant no harm he stooped down to check on him. "Are you okay sir?" he asked politely moving his head to check for injuries, "Seems like we both enjoy spinning and flailing uncontrllably today huh?" his tone was more compassionate now, feeling somewhat guilty at the situation. "I'm going to try sit you up, tell me if anything hurts, okay?" the man had red hair and Seph thought about making a joke about he wouldnt be able to see any blood even if it was there, but he thought better of it.

Vyri snapped to with Seph saying something to him. Molly seemed concerned as well. "The rest of the pouches?" He scrambled through is satchel. All in tact. "... Today is turning out to be too much of a gamble. He somewhat shook off the lack of consciousness then glanced to Molly. "Looking at you is turning out to be a fatal attraction."

Who was this other person? "I think I'm alright. What the hells happened?" He stood up with the aid of Seph. A flash of pink blasted through his hair, several yellow sparks flitted away as if lightning bugs.

Seph glanced at the mans hair and took a step back "Thats just w-... err Seph, my name is Seph i'm not exactly from around here, its a pleasure to meet you, even in such circumstances." he glanced over at the woman and bowed slightly in her direction. "Last thing i knew i put on this ring, and well i'm here." He laughed slightly, Devan was right , it did work, now all he had to do was... At that moment, Seph went from being compassionate and rather awestricken to determined and composed " I'm looking for an official, a person with diplomatic control in these regions. Would you be able to point me in their direction?"

Vyri smirked at Molly before hearing what Seph had to say. "Was just heading to the port to deliver these." He pointed to the satchel. "Three's better than none. Though... You'll have trouble finding anything about politics, diplomacy, or any other such nonsense. Proxi is neutral in the multiverse. Want to talk about trade? You can do that."

Vyri's feet were already taking him forward. His hair cooled to a red and orange shift of pulsing colors. "We're not yet at the bridge." He pointed forward to an opening from the walkways of the emporium. The bridge was distantly visible. For anyone with a keen eye, it was clear to be several hundred feet wide, seemed to float onward to an alabaster stone structure that had enough buildings to be a large city in its own right.

Just ahead of them the a low rumble filled the air, vibrating some of the buildings around, as a massive freighter cruised in toward the port, probably about to check out before heading to whatever destination could need such a massive ship.

Seph gasped, completely ignoring Molly's introduction,
"Thats incredible!" he gestured to the spaceship heading to the port.

"Trade, yes, You see our Arcanum managed to bridge the gap between Regis, my homeworld, and Proxi?" he wanted to be sure he was saying it right.

"Anyway, the journey was a bit of a risk as the portal could have ended up anywhere. My mission, if you'd like to call it that, was establish some kind of trade agreement between our two worlds. We have an abundance of resources but neither the means or technology to export it. Upon thinking about it, my efforts seem fruitless seeing as i can't get back." He paused a moment whilst pondering his predicament. "I was supposed to deliver this, i believe it explains our current stance on trade, and our current assets" he said somewhat defeated, he knew little about space technology, he knew some of it's implementations, due to his time researching weapons in the arena but nothing on this scale.

Vyri had simply forgotten to mention his own name. "Oh right, Vyri... The name's Vyri. And yes, Proxi seems to go on forever. The port is a rather small speck on the supposed endless space of this city-plane." He nodded as if he actually knew what he was going on about. Though, whether he did was a point that would probably be up for debate in the future. "Once your in the alleys and streets, the city closes in on you. Nothin' like the Gardens of Splendor. Only been there once or twice myself. Miles of well maintained gardens, hedge mazes, and to top it all off a hand grown Elven forest that goes on for days." He glanced down to his pouch. "Not a cheap place to visit, well guarded. Got my arm broken as a kid just trying to sneak a peek at the place. Wasn't the guardian's fault. Just as graceful as I've been today."

"That's a small one." He turned his attention to Selph. "Aye, just about every world can find a way to and from here." Vyri paused for a moment, then glanced to Molly. "How the hell do you do this?"

His attention was back to Seph. "You're gonna be my good luck charm. That's a big business deal, and the way my day was going... Well, this'll pay for it then some. I'll get you there, and help you understand it... Of course, the two of you be willing to enjoy dinner on me?"

Seph smiled at the mans comments, if he thought it was a big business deal, that means there must have been some possibility to him getting back, and this was further confirmed by his mention of its endless connections to other planets.

"Indeed Regis, the City i'm from is called Noble, its a Harsh planet but we make do"

"Well Vyri," Seph paused as if Vyri had proposed to him or something," I'd be delighted," his tone softened as his body relaxed, and he felt he could be more himself.

Seph watched as Molly stooped to kiss Vyri on the cheek and flinched somewhat, glad he hadnt yet said anything overly flirtacious, for fear of ruining things.

Seph looked Molly up and down, she was cute though, to be sure, and she was on vacation from a foreign planet "Thats a pretty smile," was as far as he'd dare, "My apologies for not saying so earlier, this is all a little daunting."

Seph looked back at Vyri, "Gardens you say? that sounds delightful, we haven't really had time to afford such extravagencies back home, what with surviving and all."

Vyri blushed as red as his hair. His hair went pink, orange, then yellow. It seemed to rattle loose a nest of light. As small orbs poofed out of his hair. He quickly nodded. "Aye, easy enough to get you back. If the psychopomps can sniff out your trail, the mages will be able to sort that mess out. As far as trade or buisness, it's all the same. We pride ourselves on neutrality, and those nations that do stake claim to territory here, are very closely monitored; their stuff monitored even more." He paused at the smile comment. "Afraid it's a smile wasted on us men though." He rubbed his hair as the colors in his face and hair returned to normal. "Not the right parts, she says."

Seph laughed out loud "So eloquently put," He shrugged blushing slightly at the bold nature of her claims. "Well its of detriment to my gender," Seph started " That we've lost the heart of one of the multiverses finest smiles"

He turned away for a second before coming back onto the subject of business.

"Do you happen to know if Obsidian is as highly regarded in this part of the multiverse?, Naturally occuring obsidian of course, none of that artificial crap or indeed vape?" he didnt want to get too much into vape due to the controversial topics surrounding it's manufacture.

"You'll find it a common thing around these parts, Molly. Not near as looked down on here as it is elsewhere; from what I gather." He took a noble stance and held up a finger. "Cause no harm to another through transaction, action, or inaction" This caused several others to stop and recite something similar. Though they all did it jokingly, they had a sense of pride to what they said. "That's our only law. It's worked."

"Obsidian, it has its purposes I'm sure. It's value, I'm not knowledgeable enough on. Vape? I'm afraid I've never heard of it. Though that will be up to your transactor. I... I am merely your recruiter, if that's what you could call it. Or spotter?" He paused, unsure. "I, er. Yeah, this is my first time doing a transaction like this. Forgive me for that much." They had made it to the massive bridge that led to the port. It'd be another half an hour or more to cross the bridge. Since they were on foot however, they could use one of the transportals. "Just step in line here. We can go as a group, this will take us to the port lobby. From there I can deliver my stuff, and help you start your transaction."

Seph thought about Vyri's comments on his experience with large scale trade, somehting about the man comforted im, whether it was his knowledge Proxi or an uncanny knack for social pleasantries he wasnt sure.

The fact neither of them really knew much about obsidian was a good thing in his eyes, it showed it was rare, at least in this part of the Multiverse.

He paused in line until it was his turn to step into the transporter, and while he wasn't anxious, he hoped at least this one was a little less chaotic, and it was. He felt a warmth spread over him followed by an omnipresent tingling, before being thrust into what felt like a cold draft. He brushed his arms as he arrived refolding the hairs across his skin.

"Well that was a lot better, than my first transportaion" he started, "and i believe thats how a-" he cut himself off as he turned to see colossal ships of all types simply hung in mid air. He was speechless, and if it wasnt for ligaments in his jaw, his jaw would have dropped.

He walked to the edge, not quite believing it and peered down a huge distance, far further than the Rift's drop in Regis.
"Thats quite unnerving, he said stepping back one or two paces, the breeze blowing his hair somewhat out of shape.

Vyri let out a shrill cackle. "Gravitationally challenged as myself eh?" He looked up and offered a hand to Molly. "Welcome to the port. You can get your currency exchanged here. Admire the view, of course you've already been here." He looked down to her.

"As far as us," He referred to himself and Seph. "you can tag along if you choose; kind of borin' from here out if you ask me. Shouldn't take to long." He smiled at Molly. A barge tooted its horn and was pushed out by a few tug boats. Water splashed around its hull, though it wasn't actually in water. A large light shimmered around the hull, and the tug boat pushed it into the shimmering light. A portal. Water spilled out of the portal, whooshing around the hull of the ship as it returned to the waters of its home plane. A rainbow filled the mist as it fell to the teal colored waters below. It was now that you could easily see the multiple star-like objects that gave light to the skies above Proxi. They were as randomly patterned as stars in the night sky, yet nowhere near as numerous or distant. "The ones who keep the connections going around here. They know what they are doing. Though some travelling is less pleasant than that, that's really all there is to it. No need to know magic around here, or be extremely creative. Just gotta be able to talk nice." He chuckled while helping Molly up.
