Aliases:Brimstone
Relatives:None-
Alignment:Good
Citizenship/P.O.B:Central U.S.A/finn
Marital status:Single

Spoken Languages:English, infernal, efreet, German, Norse, Latin.
Education:High-school diploma, instinctual grasp of engineering and metals, countless years of world, and life experience.
Theme Song:To be decided.

Wayland the smith, blacksmith of legend. Spoken of in epic poems, and writings of legend. Cursed by the gods, his knowledge and nature have warped his being to that of fire, and steel.

Characteristics:
Age:25(apparent) ?(actual)
Gender:Male
Height:6'0”
Weight: 147lbs(before powers.) 323lbs(now that his muscle and tissue is laced with molten metal.)
Eyes:Dark Amber
Hair:Ashen gray

Appearance: Wayland is a tall man, with a slim build. He has short cropped gray hair, and Amber colored eyes that seem to glow with some inner light. He has numerous scars littering his skin, more than could ever be built up by most people and then keep living.

He wears A black three-piece suit and tie, with dress shoes, over which is a long black coat.

Extra physical info:After his powers came to him he gained a faint, but persistent scent of fire, ash, and molten metal about him. Especially when his powers are in use. He smokes to try and cover up that smoke comes from his mouth and nose regardless of them.

Personality: Quiet, steady, watchful, able to keep his head in most situations, and detach himself enough to keep going. Sarcastic at times, with a viciousness when he or those he cares for are threatened. Likes to think about problems before giving an answer, but unafraid to slap it all together and hope for the best.

History:Crack open a book, the norse liked to sing my praises. Trust in steel, you can find me there.

Powers: At first it was just constant pain. Like he was on fire. Red hot vomit, that solidified into a mass of cold metal when cool. Food turning to ash in his stomach, and water evaporating. His eyes, and hair changing over night, and a constant feel of the metal around him, and the instinctual knowledge of every type as soon as he saw it, and maybe, someday, what it could become.

Then, he began to experiment, small things of course. Teeth and nails becoming hard as steel and sharp as a dagger. Breathing out smoke, ash, and super heated air. Carefully disguised as a coughing fit. Discovering he has to eat metal to gain nourishment, and that large amounts can help him heal faster, the new metal effectively filling in the wounds. That he was stronger now, heavier, tougher. That the back of his throat lights up when he uses his powers, and warmth spreads from his core, smoke occasionally curling from his mouth and nostrils. A constant sound of the grating of metal on metal when he moves. What the limits are he doesn't know.(Sedatives are burned from his system, before they can take effect.)

Powers(a compilation):the rest coming soon, when I think of names.
-Obstinate Spine
-The Empathy of Steel
-Inanimate Mind
-Teeth, and Talons
-Smoke, and ash
-Cigarette Burner
-Line of steel
-River of Thorns
-Forge
-

Skill/Proficiency: Thanks to his powers he now has an instinctual grasp of engineering that allows him to work as a competent mechanic. As long as the technology is made from some form of metal.
-Years upon years of knowledge working a forge, his swords have passed into legends and myth, his skills have not faded.

Likes:
1.Food(Despite not gaining any nutritional value from it, he still enjoys the taste. Even more so now that he doesn't have to worry about fat, or calories.)(His food is delivered with a vial of dense metal shavings to pour over it.)
2.Battle(The problem with embodying a blade, is that swords have a tendency to thirst for battle. He isn't much better.)
3.Knowing where he is.

Dislikes:
1.Rude people(manners cost us nothing.)
2.Sour cream(Taste disgusting, ugh.)
3.Odin

Strengths:
1.Experience
2.Patience

Weaknesses:
1.Deep Water(He sinks like a rock. It is extremely difficult, but not impossible for him to swim. His ability to manipulate the metal in his body becomes sluggish when he is submersed in cold water.)
2.Electricity(As his body is almost literally a lightning rod now, his body acts more like a conductor for electricity than ever. He loses control of his powers while charged with electricity, and for a few(3) seconds after.)
3.Immunity to healing magics.(Cannot be healed by magic intended to heal as he calls them:"The fleshy gut bits."

Further notes: His heartbeat sounds like a regular one to him, but to anyone else listening to it, it sounds like a hammer striking an anvil.

His skin is no longer as fragile as normal skin being more like leather, but still feeling the same, this added toughness is to hold in heat as his body feels warm to the touch like he has a light fever, but when the skin is broken it lets loose hot air, and he bleeds molten metal.

His bones are now made from an amalgam of multiple types of metal and his marrow is of a similar nature.

His dietary tract, and circulatory system are now basically a furnace that burn away everything except metals, they are now taken and used to fill I whatever gaps in the body that need filled.

"Where the hell am I?" was his first spoken and internal thought upon arrival. At least, he thought he'd arrived. Perhaps he'd always been here in this hallway, surrounded by mecha, and wolf people. He couldn't remember and didn't care to ask. Anyone that had been looking in his direction seconds before however would have seen him simply appear. Empty space filled in an instant by the smell of sulphur and ash, of blood, steel, of the living forge.

As it was though, he was feeling a little hungover, and had the vague sensation that he'd been fighting with undead moments before, or perhaps it was moments sideways... Did that make sense, somehow it clicked in his mind but made no sense out loud.

"Whatever." He said with a shrug and walked his way through the closest door, where others seemed to be gathering, he got the vague sensation that his impulsiveness had worked in his favor before, and he stuck an unlit cigarette in his mouth, as it began to emit smoke.

The room turned out to be an office occupied by a wolf lady, who, if he could say so himself was attractive in that, just got out of bed sort of way, but he put that aside as he realized this could be a bit ackward as he had simply walked in to what may have been a private meeting, so he said the first thing that came to mind.

"Good." He paused, mid sentence thinking for a moment. "whatever time of day it is."

Lilliana mostly ignored whatever people had to say, a baby demon cried for its mother as it was restrained, a woman with strange hair gave her an evil look and a haughty woman strolled in with her head held high. The only one she hadn't been expecting had actually been quite the gentleman, despite not meaning to be there. However by the smell and heat that accompanied him she decided to let him live, he'd be a valuable asset.

Her teeth bared finally after moments of relaxed ignorative silence as her troops filed out of the room, save one or two androids for extra safety, and of course to keep up appearances. She stood from her chair, leaving it to spin out behind her as she walked to the oval table with an angered expression that soon softened into a bored yawn and a kind motherly smile. She leaned over the end of the table with her tail swishing excitedly and a gleam in her eyes. Her ears twitched for but a moment before with a grin she began to speak.

"I am Lilliana Kyubi, I am the Alpha of this pack and I have recruited you by whatever means I desired to join me on a little escapade. I intend on building up a group, creating a business and expanding off of this forsaken rock, and making a general life for everyone within the pack. Perhaps even buy a planet out somewhere in the cosmos of this bleak universe, why do I need you for that you may ask? Because I need spies, fighters, helpers, people outside of the Wolvern and their limited expertise. People I can help achieve their own goals in kind." She stated, leaning back from the table and folding her arms across her chest, a graceful hand pushing a stray hair out of her eyes.

"I will give you lodging and pay, and various tasks to accomplish, I have heard of something called The Detente and aim to be of a similar strength in a shorter amount of time. My empire in the AEther will fund this little group and we will establish a town of our own somewhere on this rock for those whom are like us, those who lack control, or who need somewhere to belong. Perhaps even those who simply want a reason to fight, to exist." She breathed, rather quietly as a hush fell over the room and she went back to her desk and sat in her chair. With a devious grin she waved her hands towards her 'guests'

"Thoughts?"

Sarani followed Lilliana with an unbreaking stare. A subtle sneer spread across her face. "Yeah, I have something to so say," She tried to get her ankles freed from the restaints. As if on cue, Friyeh began to speak, and she spoke with him in unison. "There is something strange about this. I know a fraud when I see one." She slipped her bare feet from the restraints and stood up. She walked up to Lilliana, as close as she could, and gave her that evil, piercing stare. "I know you are up to no good," She spoke quietly, but with force. "You can't fool me with your deceptive tactics. You better spill it before I decide to spill your guts."

She felt something pull her from behind. Khalariah had yanked the back collar of her jacket. "As much fun as that sounds, I'd rather be the one spilling guts," She whispered before tossing her to the ground. She turned back around to Lilliana with a smirk. "I love that idea!" She spoke with enthusiasm.

Wayland grinned his signature grin at the lady behind the desk, he tried for charming, but it probably looked like he was baring his teeth, the people around him continued to make noise, and he was relatively sure one or more of them was psychotic. Meh, not his problem, he thought, if they're crazy they're crazy. Not like they could kill him probably. So he stepped in the crazy girls path, never turning to look at her.

He bowed extravagantly, an arm sweeping to his side, and extending to the woman to take her hand, and brush a kiss across he knuckles as he bent toward the wolf lady, " I gladly except dear women," mainly because I've got no fucking idea where I am. he thought, "What would you have me do?

"Where the hell am I?" was his first spoken and internal thought upon arrival. At least, he thought he'd arrived. Perhaps he'd always been here on this dirt path, behind an astronaut and pirate person. He couldn't remember and didn't care to ask. Anyone that had been looking in his direction seconds before however would have seen him simply appear. Empty space filled in an instant by the smell of sulphur and ash, of blood, steel, a brief flash of light that spit out this man onto his rear.

As it was though, he was feeling a little hungover, and had the vague sensation that he'd had these thoughts moments before, or perhaps it was moments sideways... Did that make sense, somehow it clicked in his mind but made no sense out loud.

He noticed an old bridge feet from him, and a pair of people arguing in front of it. At least I didn't end up on that bridge. He thought, unsure how it would hold up to him landing on it. He didn't have a problem with heights, falling however, was another matter entirely.

He stood with a grunt, and a soft sound like metal grinding on metal as his joints took the load. Dusting the dust from his slacks he made his way lazily towards the only people in the area.

"How's it goin-?"

"Ta toughen yer up," Kate smirked, though it was annoyance that was on her mind. All this man seemed to do was whine and she was just about don- As her hand raised to jab a finger at his chest she was distracted by the bright flash and the smell of all things unholy. Her hand flashed to her blade, swiftly drawing and holding it before her, eyes narrowing at the new arrival. However, spying that he seemed to be no immediate threat, she took to her typical enthusiasm of meeting someone new.

A wide grin spread across her face as she cried, "Yahar!" with great gusto, stepping boldly forth and standing fully upright, "Ye've walked into the trap o' great Kate Darkrayne and first mate-" she glanced over her shoulder at Carter, before glancing back, "Suity. We broke this 'ere bridge, and now hand over yer goods if yer wanna walk away with yer nose intact!"

Actually she was just hoping the guy had some alcohol. She could kill for a drink!

Great. Now who in hell was this? In a puff of black smoke a tall figure had appeared behind them, and asked, out of all the questions in the world.
"How's it goin?"
And of course, Kate had responded with her usual remark.
"What do ye have that I could take from ya?" Paraphrased, of course.
Carter walked towards the figure, dumbfounded. The day just got more strange and strange. First, a pirate, and now a tall man who happens to just appear behind people in a puff of smoke. "Kate, I don't think you're going to kill this guy with that rusty sword." Carter had never seen anything like him. "So, anyways, who are you?" Carter stared back to the broken bridge.

Wayland eyed the two strangers, his head cocked to the left a little, right eyebrow raised. Trying to make out just what he was seeing. First, he'd been(possibly) threatened by the pirate, Kate, he mentally added the name to her face. Then, an(apparent) space man came over to ask who he was... Yeah, he wasn't drunk enough for this shit. Out loud however he said.

"If you broke the bridge, how are you going to get back over to the other side? S'not much of a trap if you ask me. What if you need to run away if I prove too much for you?" He let the question hang for a second before continuing, replying to the spaceman.

"Well, First mate Suity. I'm nobody important. Don't even rightly no where I am honestly. It happens sometimes. I just pop up in strange places. Last time I appeared in an office building. Who knows where I'll show up next." He ended his sentence with a shrug, not really worried at all.

Calling Kate's rapier rusty?! Insubordination! She was going to have Carter thrown in the brig once she acquired a ship! But for now she couldn't let the dramatics go, raising her blade to point for Wayland, hovering over a foot away. "Aye, do ye be suggestin' Kate has a yellow belly? Words like that'd get yer tongue cut off!" Her sword swished left then right and back to her side. "But I doubt yer enough for Suity, le' alone a captain 'o my caliber."

She glanced back at Carter. "Oi, you. Show 'im not to mess with us 'n I'll split the first treasure we find with ye."

"Yeah, I'm not fighting this guy. Normally I'd listen, but as you can see the only reason I'm still alive is this air tank back here." Carter stared back to the tall man. "And my name isn't 'Suity,' it's Carter. And this isn't a trap." Suddenly, something in Carter dinged. The man had said something about proving too much for them. That meant a fight. The man was willing to fight them. And the man knew he would win. "And listen, we really don't want to fight you. At all." Carter gave Kate a dead eye. Of course it didn't matter, since she obviously couldn't see through his helmet. "Ok, look, we're headed down to some city, if you want to come." The man looked extremely hostile however. A little bit of staggering indicated he was drunk too. Maybe they could take him. Maybe. Carter eyed Kate's sword. Er, rapier.
Maybe they could take him. Or they could get killed.

"Nah, nothin' of the sort fair captain. I'm sure you're gallant and brave, I was just bein' hypothetical."

Wayland looked at the suited man oddly for a second. Who in their right mind told a complete stranger the one thing keeping them alive. If this turned into a fight. Which it looked like it might if he didn't say something soon, He would obviously for the tank first now. Just to eliminate a potential threat.

"Look, I don't wanna fight neither of you. I've just been flung billions of possible miles through space and time, the worst part is I feel like I've got a major hangover. Like I drank too much diesel or something. A city sounds good, I'm always up for free food, and hospitality." Even if it usually was only free because he burned the place down before taking whatever he wanted. Semantics.

"Arr..." Kate uttered, a low and contemplative noise as she placed the tip of her rapier to the ground, "Well then, if'n food and drink is what yer afta', yer should join me ever-growin' crew o' future mutineers." She gestured sharply with her head towards Carter, just to make sure it was clear where she stood. "Or!" she suddenly declared with her sword swishing upwards, "Ye can cower out and be the victim 'o Kate's robbin' spree. So what'll it be? Join or hand over yer things."

Unfortunately in her mind the city issue wasn't as important as recruiting and stealing.

"Listen, we really don't have any fucking time for this." Carter spun around to face the man. "Now are you with us or against us?" The drunkard was going on about space and planets and the city. There was one thing they could agree on. A city. Carter smiled in his suit. Maybe this wouldn't end in a terrible brawl.
But if Kate couldn't keep her mouth shut then this would end in someone probably dead.
"We can all agree on one thing right? We want to get to the city! So, let's put aside whatever shit we were talking about, and let's just go there!"

"For the moment, let's call it a temporary truce, that may or may not blossom into friendship, or mutually attempted murder.'

Wayland scratched the side of his skull in contemplation, his index finger temporarily elongating into a razor sharp metal talon. It easily broke the skin of his scalp and scraped against his metal skull, releasing a small hiss of super heated air as a single bead of molten metal blood began to fall, he pulled his finger away, letting the wound close, and his hand return to normal.

"Sounds like a plan to me.' He finally decided. Spinning on his heel, and walking off, hands in pockets in the only direction left available.

Kate grumbled and grouched over Carter's repeated outbursts. Did he have no concept of captain and crew? The captain did the talking! Why she was beginning to wish she never recruited him about two minutes ago! "Aye," she grunted irritably, left with no option but to agree and follow along behind Wayland as she sheathed her blade. "If'n we spose to trust you, ye best be sharin' your first name, since yer know ours."

Well, things appeared to be going great. In this merry crew of travelers we have the Drunk Magic Smoke Man, the Spaceman who fell out of the sky, and the Deserted Pirate. Yes, nothing could be better. Carter began walking after Kate and the man, who had since walked away from the bridge. He would play along with this whole crew thing for a little while longer, then he was going off. Subject Y sat neatly in his arm, the black liquid swishing around inside. Carter decided he'd give it a name.
Failsafe.

"Oh. Me? Nobody of importance.' He replied to the captain. "I assure you. My name though is Wayland, for whatever that's worth, summon by it at your own risk.' He said all this while walking backwards, while facing the captain, his hands clasped behind his head in a relaxed manner. It didn't seem like much was going on in this area. With luck this city would be more interesting.

He casually placed an unlit cigar in his mouth, clamping onto it with his teeth, and breathing out with a sigh, smoke billowed out around the sides of his stogie. "So, what's the name of this city?"

Kate rubbed at her nose, staring up into the air in thought. "Arr, that'd be... Wing City. I remember a good number 'o times I leaped innae that one." She scratched at her chin now. "Aye, tha first time... A tiger nearly took me leg off! An' all sorts o' weirdoes go there. Ones with fangs 'n dark magicks." This apparently raised her ire judging by the disgusted expression on her face. "So you'll fit righ' in," she accused Wayland.

"Bu' thar's a forest first."

Carter sighed behind his helmet. "Wing City. Seems like fun." Ah, sarcasm. What would anybody do without you? Carter thought to himself. The forest in front of them went a long ways, at least it looked like, because Carter could not see anywhere down into it. He hoped that the forest wasn't too terribly big however, because he was losing air. Fast. He had about half of the tank left, and it was depleting already. If he could find a power source at Wing City, then he could get the CO2 recycler to work again. Carter would be home-free. But first, there was this goddamn forest.
"So uh, Captain..." Carter gagged a little at saying that. "What exactly is in this forest, other than trees?"

"Wing city huh? Never heard of it.' That's not to say he might have been there, but he'd never heard rumor of the place, or knew what it was called. Not that he really kept track of what the places he visited were called. He spent entirely too much time not knowing where he was for that.

Wayland stopped at the edge of the forest, eyeing it lazily, not entirely up on a walk through dense flammable undergrowth, he eyed his new companions. Hopefully this won't turn into accidental arson, or manslaughter.

"That's a good question. What is in there? Reckon there's any Bush Fiends?'

In the forest? Kate honestly didn't know. She spent most of her time in the air looking down. By now the rocky ground started to give way to the occasional shrub and plantlife, and here and there were patches of grass grown from recent rainfall. "Oh aye," she said, "Bush fiends a-plenty. 'N wolves. And hrm..." She narrowed her eyes trying to think of what creatures she had been told lived in forests in the fairytales of her youth.

The first tree of that day could be seen up ahead, a lonely and ancient thing that had risen where all others fell. The nutrients from its fallen leaves provided good ground for the grass beneath it to grow. "Trolls!" she suddenly declared, "Aye thar be trolls the size o' bridges."

"Trolls? Really?" Carter straightened his back and rolled his eyes at this stupid implication. Fucking trolls. Wow, he thought. But, there was something in there moving. Probably just some squirrel. But it looked big. A bit too big. Eh, eyes playing tricks he guessed. Carter put one foot forward into the dark forest, and instantly felt dread. He stepped back. Gulping, he stepped back in. Hey, this wasn't so bad. The forest was a little peaceful, now that he thought about it. "So, actual trolls huh?"

Wayland walked ahead of the group, backwards into the forest, raising an eyebrow at the captain. "Trolls?' Surely not. He thought, that the black kin would have spread so far. Perhaps he wasn't so far from home afterall.

"Olog-hai, are truly terrifying beast. So, I hope you're wrong.' He said to the captain, voice less jovial than it had been. knowing trolls would be beyond this merry band of miscreants ability to slay, especially with him still weakened by the summons. He would not be able to overcome such a beasts regeneration, though, the sun may yet be their salvation.

"Do try not to get eaten.' And with that he walked further into the woods.'

"Yellah, the lot o' ye," Kate snorted boldly, swishing around and the spot and drawing her blade with a smooth shink. She dramatically waved it in the air, slashing, riposting and thrusting like an expert swordsman might before she stopped and lent back against a large dull-green boulder behind her. "If'n a troll came up I'd be first ta' stab the bastard in the eye." She suddenly stood upright, face twisting with concern like she had seen something terrible. It was quite an unusual face for Kate to wear, with her mouth tugged downwards and eyes slightly wide.

It was actually quite the opposite of seeing. In fact, when she lent back the rock she felt it move. Breath. Suddenly what had seemed to be an ancient root a moment before lifted from the ground and swiped across, taking Kate's feet from beneath her and dropping her to the floor as the boulder raised up on four legs and slowly turned around. Dirt and moss loosened from the rise of the beast, which had its head now turn about to face them.

Three horns sat on the front of a head, with a great crest lining its neck. A roar of alarm left the reptiles jaw as it realized three people had snuck up behind it, and it continued to spin on the spot, tail slapping against the trees and tearing off bark until the horns were pointed for the group.

"Holy SHIT!!" Carter screamed as the beast lunged for the group. Horns upon its head and gargantuan teeth. It was slapping around against all those trees before, and was now leaping at them. Excuse me, him. "Nonononono!!" Carter leaped out of the way as the beast nearly grabbed him in its colossal jaws. If only his power worked. He looked around desperately for any sign of help, eventually resting upon his arm. Subject Y. He pulled it out ready to throw when the beast stepped on Carter, crushing his air tank. "Argh!" The vial rolled towards the bridge, resting on some thick grass. He reached out for it. "Garr th-" The monster tightened its grip and raised its giant paw one last time, but Carter rolled out if the way quickly. It slammed down on the grass, and dirt flew on Carter's helmet. "God dammit! I can't see through this shit!"
