“ Greetings watchers, this is Rineswurth reporting live from Wing City Plaza.

A crowd has gathered here today to speculate on the recent horrors afflicted on the Wing City Memorial. What started as a display of dominance over these streets has turned into a back and forth battle between two parties. The Vankoryth Detente, authority behind the recent and infamous Blood Edict seem to have administered a Humanity Clause, with respect to the non-dead citizens residing in what they claim is their domain. While a speakable number of Wing City citizens are satisfied with this current shift of power, many still express their distaste.

Who truly rules the streets of Wing City? This was Rineswurth, live, Wing City Plaza ”

Many of the trees appear to be suffer- Can you hear me back at the station?

The television in the corner of the room suddenly began beeping. Across the screen flashed
Breaking News
in red, followed by
Travelers Advisory
and
Mountain Path
. Then, the TERRACAST logo lingered on screen for a moment longer than necessary, and the beeps died down.

A dark haired woman appeared on screen, standing before what appeared to be a roaring wall of fire. Her words were nearly indecipherable, for the television was set very low, but if you listened close enough you could hear the whole report.

After a moment of black screen, the television resumed it's previous programming.

Good Morning Terra! Winne Rineswurth here, reporting in with the morning coffee!

Last night, a series of explosions were heard within Wing City. Authorities have released the following statement:

'If you have any information relevant to the car bombings of Wing City, please contact your local authorities immediately.

At this time it is undetermined whether this was a random, target, or terrorist attack. Foul play has not, however, been ruled out.
We at this time ask that all Wing City Citizen be wary of their vehicles. Check for unusual noises or behavior, parking your car on the street when not in use.'

We have yet to receive statements from the Departments of Motorized Vehicles.

As of this time, no fatalities have been reported. Luckily, only two were injured in the explosions. The cause for the explosions is still yet to be determined.

This was Winnie Rineswurth, TERRACAST. Have a great day, Terra! ”

The television in the corner faded from a sandwich store commercial. It now featured a charming woman with dark hair on it's screen. She was holding a microphone, standing in front of what appeared to be a car that had been bombed. The volume was turned too low to necessarily make anything out, however the camera would pan to reveal many bombed cars.

If you listened hard enough, you could still hear the woman over the strange demo. The demo exhibited people parking their cars in the streets, looking under the hood of their cars, as well as various other vehicular places. At the end of the sequence, the woman again, followed by the logo for TERRACAST.

“ Hello Terra, I'm Rineswurth, with an update on the previously burning Mountain Path.

Look, No ther-As you can see, the-No, I think it went over that way- The blaze has been contained. What not minutes ago was an impenetrable forest of fire is now nothing more than contained hea-Looklooklookloo- Up there! No, THERE.

Folks, there you have it. As you can see here behind me, the WCPD have successfully contained and extinguished the great blaze on the Mountain Path. It appears the fire was forced down with a high-tech foam, projected at nigh unfathomable speeds to smother the flames most efficiently. With such superb technology on their hands, and efficiency in taking care of disasters such as this, it's really no wonder the Wing City Police Department is an organization of prestige.

Oh, she is sending us a wave!
Fantastic, everyone. You heard it here first: TERRACAST. This was Rineswurth. ”

The television in the corner seemed to be displaying some unusual imagery. Nothing was coming into focus, the camera seeming to dart around a mass of churning white, until finally it focused on...

A feminine figure, for just a moment. She flew through the air, smothering the flames with a mighty gust from what could have been a fire extinguisher jet pack. In the next second, she darted off screen in a blast of white foam.

The camera then panned over to reveal a semi-familiar face. It was the dark haired reporter of TERRACAST, following up on the raging fire on the Mountain Path. The reported babbled away in near silence as the cameraman worked to catch footage of the woman in the air. Eventually, he would give up the nauseating camera chase, and focus on the reporter as she talked. If one listened close enough, perhaps they would catch that the Wing City Police Department was doing as fine a job as ever.

Everything again was suddenly a blur, until the image of the flying extinguishing officer floated onto screen. She gave a quick wave, and darted away again, disappearing in a glint out of sight. The television then displayed the TERRACAST logo, signaling the end of the news report, which lingered on screen longer than comfortable for the viewer.

In the near silence of the bar, the television in the corner was finally able to be heard. The dark haired woman stared straight into the camera, a sparkle in her eye.

Do you have a nose for the truth, eyes for justice, a face for television, and a voice that doesn't make children cry? You may just be a Voice of Terra!

The screen flashed to a different scene, men and women in semi-professional garb walking towards the camera among a sea of plainly dressed people walking away. The voice continued.

Who are the Voices of Terra? Dedicated Terrans who will stop at nothing to inform. A Voice of Terra observes and reports on important events that concern us all. A Voice of Terra is not afraid to ask taboo questions, speculate objectively, or right a few wrongs.

To be a Voice of Terra is an honor, but more importantly, a duty each Voice of Terra takes upon themselves.

The television snapped back on exactly thirty seconds later, to reveal the tail end of the ad that was running before. The people who had been walking towards the camera stood superimposed inside a giant TERRACAST logo.

The advertisement, or whatever it truly was, bled into a commercial break. Though the screen donned colorful imagery and screaming children, the television volume remained set to 4.

The television was programmed to turn back on thirty seconds after being turned off, unless turned off by one of the staff members of the bar.

The television in the corner had switched from a commercial break back to regular programming.

The TERRACAST logo faded into a mountain scene, the camera panning over to a male reporter on the Winding Path. The television was turned down low, but those who were listening would hear the newscaster introduce himself as Cliff Dalton.

TERRACAST continued, showing a police official crossing in the background every now and again. As Cliff Dalton was saying, there had been some kind of animal attack on the Winding Path, leaving four dead. The four bodies were stated to have been identified.

As the feed ended, the TERRACAST logo graced the screen, followed by a commercial for a plastic straw company.

Isn't that odd?

The television in the corner was running a broadcast that was filmed no place other than Gambit's bar. The face of reporter Quillswam onscreen. The television was turned down quite low, to volume three, but if one listened close enough they would get the gist of the topic.

It seemed the moral fibre of Gambit's bar was being questioned, due to recent underage activity. Reporter Quill was stressing the urgency of the controversy, as the camera panned over to the image of a ten year old. Moments later it snapped back to Quill, who had many open ended questions for the public, urging everyone to stay safe.

As per usual, the TERRACAST logo lingered on screen just long enough to bore.

“ Winne Rhineswurth here, reporting live from Aslund.

The village you see behind me wouldn't be able to be seen if it wasn't for local hero Reibai. Just earlier today, a dragon chose this small village as it's target to ravage.

Reibai, magic user and local, is said by witnesses to have subdued the beast with the use of magic. After no longer in danger of destruction, witnesses claim Reibai was able to negotiate with the beast for the village's safety. Many say they owe their life to the citizen turned action taker.

What of the negotiation? An eye witness accounts both parties agreed that three cattle would be traded for the safety of the town. Will Reibei be able to deliver on time? More as the story develops. Over to you. ”

Winne Rineswurth didn't care where she was seated, so long as she got the story, but boy did she envy that front and center spot. No matter, Winne had somehow managed to get a spot by the entrance and exit door, which was almost as good.

Other reporters began to crowd in, adjusting their equipment. Winne's cameraman had managed to nag a good angle, she noticed. Where was Malcoms? Scanning the room, Winne spotted Quill, and gave her a polite wave. How did she get that spot?

"Munkus!" Winne leapt at the opportunity, shoving her mic forward, "What do you propose to do with the overwhelming amount of abandoned cars? Surely the homeless population of wing city has been putting them to good use?"

"So you're employing the homeless, trusting them with the future infrastructure of Wing City?"

Oh, her network manager was going to kill her for that stretch. It was such a double edged comment, one that pushed her personal human rights agenda and cornered the speaker into a fuzzy corner...

There was a glimmer in her eye.
