History: His parents are the children of Vault Dwellers who managed to escape from Vault 106 and the wrath of Gary(s). Eventually, they found Megaton, a seemingly nice town full of people just trying to make a living. They settled down in a house by the Brass Lantern and eventually had several children, the youngest being Xantam. As a part of family tradition, once they turn 20, they must leave the house and start their own life. Xantam's elder brother and sister were not fortunate enough to have survival skills. They perished shortly after exiting.

A year before his twentieth birthday, the local general store owner, Moira Brown, wrote and published The Wasteland Survival Guide with the help of an unnamed stranger. He never met the stranger, but he somewhat felt that everything ended up okay, for the most part. He read and memorized every bit of the Guide in order to not become like his brother or sister. He eventually became a Junior Survivor, and set out a month before his birthday, which he celebrated in a cave, with only the sounds of violence and animals outside.

His survival skills caused him to be more perceptive to the wasteland; he learned when to walk, stop, slow down, speed up, speak, shoot, and when to run like hell. This perception caused him to gain an interest in how the wasteland works. He started compiling notes upon notes, which he keeps on a wall in his shack. His studies allowed him to become "more in tune with nature. Animals began to like him more, and his food seemed to taste better after learning how to cook it well enough. Also, through his studies, he realized night was a better time to be active, seeing as everyone else was asleep or in shelter.

Eventually he came in contact with a group known as the Brotherhood of Steel. After convincing them he had the abilities to join, he was admitted into the Lyons' Pride. He soon realized, along with many others, that the D.C. sect wasn't doing their assigned task, that they were assisting the unworthy. He joined Casdin, Rockfowl, and the others in their exile and soon joined the Outcasts. Eventually, he grew tired of the same old routine, so he politely resigned. He still keeps in contact with Morgan, his old lover. He still has his old armor, which he takes out on the anniversary of his resignation.

Through his travels, he's become enthralled with the weapons known as the AK47. He's analyzed every aspect of his Kalashnikov and knows how to clean it, take it apart, and rebuild it. His magnum, which he found during scavenging a raider camp (which he killed an hour before), has become a good friend of his due to his frequency of being placed in tight spots. His nature allows him to make friends, and enemies easier. After learning and perceiving all he could in the D.C. outskirts, he soon wander around the world(s).
Occupation: Scavenger/Merc
Marital status: Single (Ladies. . .)
Family: His parents, Martha and Jean, live in the Megaton, in the Capital Wasteland. He keeps in contact with them through annual visits. His other family members are dead.

So begins...

Xantam Legias's Story

Xantam enters the bar in his civilian clothing: basic shirt, jeans, jacket, and a hidden holster for his magnum. He never left both of his guns at the same time. Protection is worth looking like a cop. He silently sits down next to a woman with blue hair and ordered a drink. "Tough day?" he asks, attempting to start a conversation.

"I'd say I understand," he replies "but I'm not sure I'd be the best judge of a bathing suit competition. Not my area of expertise." He thought about that last line. His hand reached for his magnum to check if it was there. He sighs contently as it is then takes another swig. "Another little pageant whore forced by mother to do it against her will, I suppose?"

Xantam listened intently to Sublime's story. "I meant the contestants, but whatever," he replied. He digs his hand into his pocket and pulls out about ten to twenty bottle caps. "This is all the money I have," he stated, staring at the labels on the caps. "I come from a place where these are the standard currency. Not that bad of a place, so long as you don't mind mutants, raiders, and mercs." He chuckles lightly and takes another swig.

"Those," Xantam began, "are bottle caps, Ms. Standard currency in the CW. Gotta watch your tail there. People will kill you for a sack of week old food." He grins at the last thing Sublime said. "And what's your vote, Ms. Judge?"

"Apologies Ms," Xantam replied. "I was merely partaking in the conversation. My rebuttal was merely a sign of trust, nothing more." He thought about it for a second. He stared at the wall of liquor as he spoke. "You're a vampire, obviously? Because if you were a demon, I'd be standing in flaming rubble, and if you were a zombie, you'd be trying to kill everyone here. Am I in the ballpark on that one?" His tone was calm and neutral, not sure whether to not anger the beast or keep himself from killing it. His opinions were changing rapidly.

"Ah," Xantam said with a sarcastic tone. "I leave DC, with all its mutants and ghouls and assholes, to find a vampire. Just my luck. . ." He groans and sighs, then continues to drink. Luck hadn't been on his side most of his, but he didn't need it. "I hope you know I'm familiar with vampires, mainly because I was a bored teenager, so don't try me. . ."

"I read," Xantam stated, his face blank. "I'm from DC, land of possibilities, none of them involve experimenting with a vampire." He grinned at the name of the attractive-looking vampire. It seemed slightly ironic. "What a sublime name, Ms. Sublime. The name's Xantam Legias. Pleased to meet you." He turned to shake her hand. No matter how evil a woman seemed, it was always right to be polite. Or at least to try.

"My parents spent over half their lives in a vault," Xantam replied with a slight smirk. "I have an excuse. I'm not sure you do. Plus, any name with an X sounds cool. It's the law of names." He looked at Sublime's children. "Married, huh?"

Xantam Legias walks into Gambit's wearing tawdry leather armor with a rifle slung on his back. His eyes seem awake, but lightly bloodshot. His stride is confident and tall. He walks calmly to the bar stool next to Gilbert Buchanan and taps the counter, signalling for a drink. He listens to Gilbert and Judas's conversation without looking, staring at the drink rack while slowly sipping his new beer.

Xantam Legias continued sipping from his drink. He glanced at the miniature man as he pretended to look around the room. He would've been more concerned about the miniature man if it seemed odd, but he'd seen worse things than a shrunken nerd. When he finished his drink, he tapped the counter for a water.

Xantam finally glanced over and attempted to initiate a conversation. "Hello there," he said in a low voice as to not agitate the miniature man's small eardrums. He glanced over to his friend, Judas Bautista, and grinned slightly, showing he wasn't a threat, despite his weapons.

Xantam Legias frowns at Judas Bautista and Gilbert Buchanan's lack of interest in a conversation. He continues to listen as he watched Gilbert grow in size. He heard the mention of finding a person, then shrugs it off. He had taken a break from hunting for the moment. He intended to take advantage of that break.

Xantam looked to his other side and saw Vampiric Rage. He leaned towards him and grinned slightly. "Hello there," he said in a calm, neutral tone. "What brings you to Gambit's?"

Xantam Legias felt a chill as Vampiric Rage spoke. He didn't seem like a malevolent force, but his voice brought chills to Xantam's skin. "Not quite fond of vodka," he stated. "Doesn't have much of a use besides spicing up a different drink. How people manage to sell different brands of a tasteless, odorless drink I'll never know. . ." Xantam never understood economics that well which is probably why he was never a good haggler.

Xantam Legias enters Canti's diner and surveys the area. He notices an attractive looking lady heading towards him. He didn't look like a normal diner entrant with his tawdry leather armor and rifle slung on his back. He grins lightly and tries not to look like an idiot. As she nears, he says in a calm, neutral tone, "Hello there. My name's Xantam Legias, miss. What's yours?"

Xantam Legias nods politely, as if tipping a top hat towards Lindsay. He looks over to the window and is stunned. I love this town, he thought to himself as he looked over the other attractive woman. "I'll sit with the young lass, if you don't mind," he replied with a smirk.

Before Lindsay can respond, he walks over to the woman in the window with a confident, tall stride. He stands next to the table and looks at her with a light grin. "Mind if I sit here, miss?"

"Xantam Legias is the name, Miss Anna," he said in a caring tone. He gently took her hand and kissed the top of it. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Please disregard my. . . attire and accessories. I hadn't expected to see a woman with such a pleasing visage like yourself." He takes the seat across from her and sets his rifle on the floor behind him. "So what's a lovely lass like yourself doing in a town like this, alone?" he asked sincerely.

Xantam Legias grinned at Annastasia's blushing. "I'm a somewhat solitary character," he began. "I move from town to town, doing odd jobs, salvaging, surviving, et cetera. I wouldn't say a dreary existence, but it could be more. I always have that feeling like there's something more." He's been gazing outside for a while now. He moves his eyes to Anna. "Like there's someone out there who understands me, but I just haven't met them yet." He grins lightly. "Care to share a bit of your story?" he asked before flagging down the waitress for a drink of water.

Xantam listened carefully as Annastasia spoke. Her voice was like a siren call, drawing him in more and more. "I suppose we at least have something in common," he interjected before taking a sip of his ice water. It had an odd tinge of lemon. He was never quite fond of lemon. "I hate to interrupt, but I haven't had water this good since. . . well ever, but please. Continue."

Xantam grinned at the opportunity to tell his tale. "A gentleman never talks about himself, but I'm not really that gentle," he began with a smirk. "I come from. . . a parallel dimension for lack of a better term. One of the planets in my dimension became a nuclear wasteland after a pointless war. Society fell and collapsed, mutants and demonic beings roam the land, and humans are trying to cling on. Most ways to make money is by means of salvage. I was out salvaging north of some power station when some sort of tractor beam lifted me up into -- and this is all true -- an alien space ship. I may seem like one of those nuts who think aliens dissected me at night, but I'm not lying. I found some other captives and we managed to defeat the aliens and an attacking mothership. While stumbling around the ship to find a way back to my planet, a must've activated a multi-dimensional transporter. I popped up around here and I'm trying to find my way back. I've managed to keep Xuan, my rifle here, in working condition for the while I've been here. I've managed to orient myself around this town; finding the bar and whatnot. I decided to check around main street and now I'm here, having a pleasant conversation with a enchanting woman."

Xantam looked into Annastasia's eyes and with a sincere facial expression says, "No story is as enticing and wonderful as your lovely voice." He leaned in closer so that he could truly make a connection. "In all my years of travelling, trading, and surviving, I have never met a woman as wonderful as you." He gave her a light wink as he finishes his glass of water and orders a cola.

Xantam disagreed. "If you were like any other girl," he replied, "I wouldn't be so intrigued by you." He thought for a second. For the most part. There was something off. He just couldn't put his finger on it.

Xantam's heart beat raced one and a half times faster. She might be feeling threatened he thought for a second. "Perhaps that," he replied as he took another sip. "Or perhaps the fact that I'm always interested in things I know little about." He looked at her with a light smile, trying to seem non-threatening. "Is there anything else you wish to share?"
