Yenyannama

Space alien. It doesn't get better than that.

0 · 114 views · located in Main Street

a character in “The Multiverse”, originally authored by Moonscar, as played by Sennen

Description

It is of grave importance that I see your leader! Right now!

...there isn't a leader of this planet?

Oh dear.

Yenyannama's true form can be seen as eerily beautiful, or weirdly terrifying. With six eyes, bioluminescent skin, and a body much too tall and slim to belong to a human's, Yen doesn't exactly blend in with the crowd all the time. However, with a nifty little doohickey, she is able to temporarily transform her body to something more fitting. Preferably something more human, in her eyes.

Her many, many eyes.

So begins...

Yenyannama's Story

Speaking of scientific breakthroughs. Falling from the sky.

One was rocketing down right now. Breaking through the top of the largest skyscraper before falling to the ground, skipping off the pavement, crushing an empty car, and exploding to a stop further down the road. It smoked, oozed some kind of purple goo, and screeched.

The alien craft resembled something right out of a colorful science fiction film. It was covered in luminescent reds, greens, purples, and yellows. It was shaped like a rocket styled to resemble a bird. Each wing seemed thick and leathery, as opposed to being made of metal.

A strange craft indeed.

As though she couldn't have said it better, the machine's "mouth" fell open, breaking in half as tentacles shot forth from the thing and snatched the nearest woman.

She was soon swallowed by it. A perfect reenactment of the latest War of the Worlds movie. However, instead of being used up and deposited in a waterfall of gore, she was ejected from the top, as perfect as she had been before, albeit very freaked out. She ran for the hills as soon as her feet hit the ground.

The strange ship opened its maw once more, seeming to vomit something out. It was also very human. A young, pale woman, curled up in a ball.

It was as if the thing had given birth.

The girl's white eyelids fluttered open as the jacket was placed over her. She took a second to look around, then pushed herself up into a sitting position. A pair of very large, and quite innocent eyes looked up toward Sonia. Whens he spoke, the girl's head tilted, slightly, to the side. Like a confused animal.

Slowly, her lips pursed, then began to form some words with a bit of effort. "We." she said to her. "En...glish."

Lights displayed down her neck in whimsical patterns, as though the woman was not completely organic.

"Talk. Talk. Talk."

The girl became excited at the word. "Invasion!" she said cheerily, a wide, open-mouthed smile appearing on her face. She proceeded to get up onto her feet wobbly. Her knees clattered together, but she was able to keep herself up. She lifted a hand, taking a gander at her fingers as she slowly flexed each one, bending the digits.

"Interesting." she mimicked Sonia. "This is...interesting."

The girl went along so willingly with Sonia, it was as it she thought nothing could ever go wrong. With the universe, perhaps. However, she did pause to look back at the shuttle she had arrived in, giving it a long gaze before looking at the sedan.

"I'll...get the hang of it." she said, looking from the car to Sonia. A mystified expression crossed her face before she smiled brightly again. Everything was so new. Was so bright!

The space shuttle that lay in the road began to move again, but this time, it did not grab any nearby people and eject them. It got up, pressing its wings upon the ground to lift it, and then began to scale the side of a building in the same manner a lizard would. Soon, it would be out of sight.

Looking into the door, then looking back up to Sonia, the girl contemplated. Or rather, the alien. She hugged the jacket closer to her, then poked her head into the car.

When Sonia asked for a name, the alien did not respond for several long moments. Then, an inhuman trill ran up her spine, causing her whole body to shudder.

Oh, but she only giggled for it. That was her name, after all.

It was a curious thing, this planet!

Yenyannama could not help but marvel at all the sights, the sounds...the sometimes unfortunate smells! She worked her way through the crowd of people, lifting up the sleeve of her shirt over her shoulder. It was a rather baggy boy's shirt Yen had on. In fact, it was the only thing she had on, and it was grateful that the cloth extended past her thighs for modesty. But Yen didn't care about such a thing. After all, she was not used to human or Terran customs, and running in the streets humanly nude would not be something to put past her.

But the woman, Sonia, who had found her, taught her that it wasn't what one did here. So, when in Rome, do as the Romans, or rather...Terran humans, do.

Wear clothes and stop gawking at every little thing there was to see.

Only the first was obeyed.

The alien girl, who would seem completely human in every way, young, reasonably pretty, with a head of white hair, was still looking up. The lights reflected in her strange purple eyes, and she could not help but smile as wide as possible.

A smile which was wiped right off her face as she collided with something quite unexpectedly.

"Oof!"

The girl was clenching her side in what seemed to be pain, though as she looked up, only a perplexed expression crossed her face.

"How very odd!" she exclaimed. "There is a rather strange sensation on the side of my body where we came in contact. I do not believe I am very fond of it." Her face twisted in a frown.

"A...droid?" she asked, wobbling as she stood up, knees knocking together. "I do not believe so! Sonia said I was an...alien life form who learns through parroting! I am still not sure quite what that means, but it must be a good thing, because it made her very happy!" she replied, smiling brightly at the boy.

As he spoke, the boy would notice a rather unusual display of lights appear on her neck, right below her left ear. It looked rather like something one would find on a computer chip, with many lines zigzagging this way and that.

"I understand!" chirped Yen. "Indeed, that is what I have been doing. It is the only true way to learn efficiently!"

The girl looked curiously at his cigarette, and moved towards him as she peered at it. "What contraption is this?" she asked, reaching out to pluck it away. As she got close and smelled the smoke, however, inhaling it a bit too deeply, she dissolved in a fit of coughing.

"I...aheh! Find this...v-very...displeasing!"

Rubbing her nose, which oozed a bit of snot, Yen stood back from him. He did not seem to bring very many pleasing things to her being!

"Other clothes? Whatever do I need more for?" she asked. "I am not currently...how someone said...'freezing my ass off' or being rained on by cats and dogs, which seems mighty unfortunate. Are there more cultural pieces that I am, perhaps, missing that requires me to wear more?"

Yen blinked for a few moments, her rather naive mind trying to figure out just why he could not give her more information.

When everything else failed, she simply thought it had to be a fault in the culture. As always!

"Oh. Very well. I shall go to Sonia now with many more questions! I do hope she will not mind!" she said to the boy. She turned heel, and immediately began to walk off. Briefly, she turned to wave.

"Farewell, stranger!"

Gambit's was witness to a lot of new faces that day, as it often was, and this one was filled with the wide eyes of a young girl. Her naïveté had lead her to the bar, and it was curiosity that had lead her further into the belly of the beast.

She looked, perhaps, in her late teens, possibly early twenties, with a head of short white hair and skin nearly as pale. She wore only a large, baggy shirt she had been given upon landing on the planet. Crash landing, that is.

"Intriguing! I had been told this establishment was home to many wonders, but it is completely empty. Perhaps everyone is invisible?"

"The deep south? Of the galaxy?" the young girl asked, walking up closely to Sirad with absolutely no knowledge of personal space or its importance to certain people. "Perhaps you are human, as well?" she asked. "It is said that the human population is the largest here on Terra. I will need very much information on them!"

Right as the doors swung open, the girl looked back, attention span as short as a goldfish's. She let her eyes course over the quite attractive blonde lady and the young man with the dark hair.

As if one alien wasn't enough. A second had to come in, as well.

And that alien was Yenyannama, who had crash landed just a week before, her organic spaceship now roaming Wing City free and unrestricted. Wearing the skin of a young girl that reflected her naïveté, she walked, hesitantly, bewilderingly, into the bar, wearing nothing but an oversized shirt. She had a head of shaggy white hair, a feature not unusual for those who roamed Wing City.

The first thing she did was walk right up to the counter, thin fingers twining around one another and releasing in what one could guess was nervousness.

She peeked over Hope's shoulder at the touch-screen menu, blinking as the woman's hair suddenly changed.

"How very intriguing!" she exclaimed. "This planet, as well, has those who shift shape?"

The young girl smiled. "I am not yet sure how to say the name of my people or planet in this language, but we are of a curious sort. The name given to me on this planet has been translated, in some way, to Yenyannama." she explained. She looked down at the rather long shirt she was wearing, which came to her knees, and frowned.

"Pants are of the uncomfortable brand. They cause very unfortunate bouts of pain to happen when trying to wear them. I would rather not, though it is the culture of these people to be doing such."

Her Terran was...strange, at best, though she managed to get the point across, somehow.

"My kind do as well walk on only two legs, but they are built much differently from human legs. One could say they are much more akin to the...domestic felis catus that I have often seen here." she once again explained, trying to piece together every word she could manage from the books she had read in the last week.

"How many legs is it that you have? Perhaps it is six? A common number I have seen on many of the animals here."

She turned her head toward Captain Wells, not at all sure how to answer his question.

The girl lit up. "Then perhaps I, too, shall show you what behind this skin lies!" she exclaimed joyfully. However, before she was able to further inquire about Hope's "true" form, Captain Wells' shouting took her attention away. Again.

"I...believe that this planet is Terra!" she said to him, "And the Martians you may be speaking of live in a moving box! It is quite entertaining!"

And, back to Hope, "Is your form very large? It must be a terribly complicated skin to fit into!"

The second Hope changed, Yen became so ecstatic that she began to clap her hands and laugh. Like the child she emanated, though her true form was surely more mature.

She walked around Hope, eyes as wide as she could manage to take in every single little detail she could. "That is quite incredible!" she cried out, reaching towards Hope to lay her hands on her fur. Though she was wearing a disguise, little nerves in the outer skin connected to her own, allowing her to feel.

"Allow me to reveal to you my own!" she then squealed, reaching behind her head to grab at the very thin fold where the second skin overlapped. She tugged at it, and boy...

Did something strange come out.

Yen was what you'd expect an alien to look like- tall, slender, with very thin legs that barely looked like they could hold her up, blue skin, and fleshy tendrils for "hair." She had at least six eyes, and four fingers.

Just in time to look back to Captain Wells, who was now threatening Hope. "Oh...dear."
