It's Thursday, September 4th, and for the students of Constance Billard School for Girls and Saint Jude's School for Boys, that means that school is back in session. Both schools are located only a couple of blocks away from each other in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the neighborhood where most of the students reside in.

Although today is the first day of the school year, academic classes are not in session until tomorrow. Today is the day of the "welcome assembly", where the upperclassmen of both schools will come to Constance Billard from 9:30 to 11:30, and the underclassmen from 11:30 to 1:30. The short day will allow the Head of School to welcome the students back, and address any changes that have occurred over the summer. Students will also have an opportunity to socialize with their friends and possibly new classmates, and introduce themselves to their teachers for the year. Textbooks will also be available for pickup.

Later that night, Sydney Vale will be hosting her annual back-to-school party at her home. This year's theme is black & white, but even dressing in one of the colors won't guarantee that you'll get in if you didn't receive one of the exclusive invitations this summer.

"Minho."

"Minho."

"Minho!"

"Tch." Lee grabbed the blankets from where they rested against his shoulders, pulling them up over his head before turning his back completely on whatever intrusion to his room had decided to wake him up. There was an unknown weight on his bed for a moment, followed by way too much squirming, and then Jin was leaning over him, trying to see his face. "Miinho," she whined again. "Jeoneun baegopayo."

Lee sighed deeply, reached up one finger to pull down the blankets covering his eyes. His sister was having upside down, blinking at him innocently, hair a mess like she'd just woken up. She probably had. "In English," he demanded, because they'd been working on this all summer. She got to talk to their mom in Korean, but him it was English.

She considered for a moment, then disappeared form off of him. A second later her feet were padding across his floor, and Lee rolled over one more time to arch an eyebrow at him. "I am hungry," she repeated, nodded proudly to herself, then picked up his alarm clock. "Dis was...noisy."

Lee arched an eyebrow, wondered why...and then he saw the time. 8:45AM. "Sibal," he swore under his breath, because at least she didn't know what they sounded like in Korean yet, before he pushed himself out of bed. He swiped his toothbrush out of the sink when he passed it, haphazardly covered the thing with paste, and shoved it into his mouth on the way to the kitchen.

There wasn't much to offer, but Jin followed him without a word, and didn't argue when he shoved a packet of uncooked poptarts into her hand. She busied herself with trying to open them alone while Lee threw the fridge open, poured her a glass of apple juice that landed more on the counter than in the cup, and passed it down to her before he slid back into his room.

He finished up his teeth, spat and rinsed, then dropped his toothbrush in his sink before throwing open his closet. His St. Jude's uniform and the few suits he owned were packaged up and hanging pristine in the back, out of the way of three year old grabby hands and his general disregard for cleanliness, but the first day back also meant he would be the only one wearing it. Everyone else used this day to rock whatever look they had just gotten from Malian. As usual, Lee's decision came down to a difference between not giving a shit and not wanting to stand out.

In the end he pulled a pair of black pants off the hanger and jerked them on while he debated if the black Pink Floyd shirt on his floor was still clean. He swiped it off the floor next, gave it a sniff, and pulled it on. He threw his jacket on after, slid by his full length mirror just to make sure that all three shades of black matched, and tugged on his shoes a little painfully. One last stop at poor excuse of bathroom for hygiene purposes, followed by running his fingers through his hair a few times so he at least didn't look like a twelve year old, and then he was rushing back to Jin.

Getting Jin ready was more of a fuss than it should have been. She complained about the first dress he put her in, saying it was itchy around her neck, and then threw a fit the whole time he tried to put her hair up in a ponytail because she wanted to eat rather than get ready. Lee finally told her she could either eat on the bus, or have messy hair all day.

In the end, she got to wear her blue dress and have her hair in a messy bun. Lee wanted to cut that damn hair off more than anything, it would make it easier to fix, but Jin loved it so he left it alone. She was probably too spoiled for her own good. At least in terms of affection.

They nearly missed the bus, which meant Jin ended up on his back while Lee ran the last block, messenger bag beating his side to death while he went. She got to daycare on time, but the ride to Manhattan would take longer. Lee sighed, sent a text to Isabela that simply read: >I really hate life before starting a new one to Sebastian, asking where he was so they could meet up the moment he got off the bus.

He was about to hit send before everything hit him in the center of the chest like a freight train. Right. They weren't friends. Lee was running surprisingly low on those lately. His jaw clinched as he canceled the message, then slowly slid his phone back into his pocket. It was fine.

Somehow, he wasn't too late when he finally made it off the bus. In fact, he was almost at perfect timing. The doors were open, but there were still people hanging around outside. Seniors, mostly. Lot's of familiar faces, which meant no one was going in without a posse. Lee rolled his eyes, hopped off the bus, shoved his hands deep in his pockets, and walked straight to the auditorium. He didn't have a posse.

Fall Out Boy - Fourth Of July

Eyes shot open then blinked rapidly as they adjusted to the light pouring in through the window. Isabela's heart was racing, pounding against her chest like rapid fire. The young woman had a nightmare, well more of an odd dream that consisted of Minho turning into a bird and flying off with another bird. It slightly angered her that Minho would do that, even if it was a dream so it was sure to be brought up later when she saw him.

There was an unknown pressure on Isabela's left arm which caused her to curiously look over to find inky black hair spread across the pillow. What? she turned slightly to clear view of the person who laid next to her. It was a girl, obviously but she didn't know her, did she? Pulling the covers up slightly, Isabela saw that the two were lacking clothes and that's when everything came flooding back to her. Ah, crap. That's right, Bella decided to let go last night and went over to this woman's apartment after a party for some late night fun. They were both trashed and hey everything feels sexy to her when the lights are dimmed.

It was time to get up and slip out before the girl next to her, Emery woke up. Bell carefully pulled her arm from under the chicks head and quietly slipped out of her bed, giving a big stretch once she was standing. "Shit," she cursed when her eyes landed on the clock. She looked back quickly making sure she hadn't woke up Emery before tip-toeing into the bathroom quickly brushing her teeth with her finger because she didn't have her toothbrush and wasn't about to borrow someones toothbrush. After her quick morning hygiene, Izzy came back out and quickly collected her clothes, she looked at her shirt and saw an odd stain so she left it there and swiped one of the girls shirts. " Sorry honey but I'm going to borrow this." she whispered before jotting down her number and a wink face on a piece of paper and placed it on the pillow she laid on.

Upon exiting the room, Isabela ran into the girls roommates, two other girls who looked at Bell's slightly disheveled self. Giving a smirk and small wave of good morning, Bell stole a piece of bacon off one of their plate and gave a wink before grabbing her board and exiting the apartment in a rush leaving the two roommates giggling and whispering.

When Isabela got to her car the first thing she did was grab the brush she always kept in the glove compartment and brushed her hair good. She sprayed herself with this soft smelling perfume and slipped on her glasses, legally she needed them to drive. Her phone vibrated in her back pocket and it caused her to jump slightly before lifting up slightly to pull it out. She read the text from Sienna and smiled to herself before letting her fingers quickly run over the keyboard.

To:Sienna
{Morning darling, can't wait to see you too. I may be running late!}

Bell moved onto the next text, her smile growing wider when she saw it was from Minho. She still held a bit of a grudge from the dream but right now it was whatever.

To:Minho
{You do huh? Well I'm going to bring you something to make your morning better. :D See you soon bro! }

Her finger pressed send then she tossed it over to the passenger seat. The drive to school was alright, Bell had stopped at a convenient store and brought two Slurpee's. One was watermelon flavored which was Bells, she slurped it oh so happily while the other one was Cherry flavored, for Minho of course. Her glasses were away, placed back in the glove compartment and she was ready to tackle the crowd of students that were rushing into the building. Pushing and shoving her way in Isabela almost dropped her Slurpee which almost caused her heart to drop because someone was going to hear it if she did. Finally inside and out of that hectic mess, Bella spotted Minho and raced came up around him with a smile.

"Hey there mister bad morning. I brought you a cheer up package, well it's just a Slurpee and a cig but better than nothing no?"

Izzy handed Minho the frozen drink and slipped the cigarette in his pocket like a ninja before pecking him on the cheek.

" Oh yeah, how could you fly off like that man? That wasn't cool." she was referring to the dream that he knew nothing about but it was bugging her.

Even inside people had broken into cliques, guys and girls mixed as much as possible because there was going to be a full school year of being separated out side of social occasions. Oh, the absolute horror. Lee rolled his eyes just thinking about it, propped his knee up on the chair in front of him and slouched in his seat.

When his phone buzzed in his pocket he nearly had a heart attack, thinking maybe he had actually texted Sebastian on accident, but his face broke into a grin when he saw Isabela's name flashing at him. The text was simple, and he didn't bother replying to it, knowing she was probably driving.

He only had to wait another couple of minutes before she was there suddenly, thrown together in a way that was both classy and telling. Lee arched an eyebrow her, but her mere presence already made his day better. He slid out of his seat to take the Slurpee from her, knowing the red color meant it was cherry and he could kiss her if she wasn't like sister. Or if they happened to be playing on the same team.

There was a cigarette in his pocket, a kiss to his cheek, and he really couldn't be happier once he sealed his mouth around the straw. Until Izzy spoke, and he recognized that tone in her voice. She was irritated at him for something. "What?" he asked. He hadn't flown off anywhere. The last time he'd seen her, they'd parted on good, normal terms...

Fly...

Lee rolled his eyes and crashed back down in his seat. It wasn't unusual for his best friend to have some kind of outrageous dream and be mad at him about it later. One time she hadn't spoken to him for three solid days she was so upset. "What happened, Bells? Why did I fly away?"

"Hell if I should know babo!" Bell sighed and calmed herself, she was a bit embarrassed about her actions but her emotions just took control for a second but she got them back under control. Isabela has went through this same scene many times before with her best friend. A dream would pop up, nonsense will spew out from the hole on her face, emotions are exchanged then she apologizes and everything goes back to normal but these little silly things are happening less often since she is learning how to control her emotional outbreaks. After shooing away a couple that wanted to snog right beside the two, Bell turned back around to face Minho.

"Aish, I'm sorry bro, I'm good now but umm-" she trailed off her eyes wondering around as her face bared a sheepish expression. " I don't know why you flew off or where too, all I know is that you saw another bird and was gone."

Her face was now facing the side as she acted innocent, her lips wrapped around her straw ingesting the sugary coldness. " It was stupid, forget about it I'm over it." she nodded to herself matter of factly before planting herself next to Lee rather eagerly with an all to familiar twinkle in her eye.

"So, how is Jin? Did she eat this morning? When are you two coming over, mum's been kinda bugging me about it, well dad too." Bell stopped for a second a small smile making it's way across her lips.

"Well everyone at home is bugging me about it honestly." she chuckled leaning her head on her brothers shoulder. "I missed you, I mean I saw you over summer break but still."

Bella stood like that for a while before lifting her head slightly enough to look at Minho. " So, Anything new in life? Any boys I should now about and interrogate?" she teased honestly wanting to know.

After the morning haggle was over and done with, Bell had the afternoon to herself. She invited Minho to go grab some food and they do now she was over his house, planning their evening events. Bella knew of Sydney's party and really couldn't care much for it but Sienna was going to go and she wanted to see her friend that she hadn't gotten to see this morning. Plus she was sure Kelley was going to be there too but Bell wanted to spend time with two of the most precious people in her life.

Bella sat on the floor of Minho's room with little Jin sitting in between her legs as she brushed through her beautiful silky hair. "Dangsin eun aleumdaun heeo jin eul" Isabela hoped she said it right, she was still picking up new words here and there from both Minho and Hyojin that she didn't know before. Bell smiled when Hyojin thanked her but then turned around and started to play with her hair.

" Haha, my hairs isn't as yours but I try squirt." she patted the child on the head affectionately before pecking her forehead and letting her continue to mess with her hair.

"So Min, you know how Sydney has her party today right? I was wondering if you wanted to do some crashing of the party." Bell slightly laughed at how she said it before hugging the cute little Hyojin. " There's a carnival in town, we can take little Jin here for a bit until she gets tired out then crash that party, looking fabulous of course. " she waited for Lee's response as Jin proceeded to pinch her cheeks and Bell did the same but rather soft.

The morning passed rather uneventfully. Lee listened to his best friend ramble with a small smile on his face that was just for her before they settled in for the assembly that was less interesting to listen to...so actually, he and Bell spent a lot of time huddled close together whispering under their breaths.

He'd spent a lot of the summer with her, at least as much as he could get away with, because his mother worked twice as hard to clean up after parties and whatnot. Usually. Jane, oddly, was fairly absent from the activities that had gone on that summer...there were some rumors about camp or something, but Lee knew the truth.

Not that he would dare tell anyone. Or cared enough to, for that matter.

So his mother hadn't worked as often as she had in the past, but Lee still spent most of his time at the Monroe's place, little sister in tow. He liked her family. He liked it a whole hell of a lot better than his own.

The hardest part about the last couple of months had been not having Sebastian. He frowned as he pondered over the way his ex-friend had nearly spoken to him this morning. He missed his company, so much it ached. So, he'd spent a good amount of his time sleeping around when Jin wasn't in his care. A fact he admitted with a pinched expression because Lee had never really been known for being slutty.

He also apologized for flying away in Bell's dream, and promised he'd never leave her in real life.

Lee had never really been the one to go the parties thrown by his classmates. Sure, he liked to party, and he was well known for sneaking into clubs and bars with his good friends, but the stuff that Sydney and her posse threw were usually too high class for him.

But there was little to nothing Lee would tell Bell no to.

Jin was more than happy to see Isabela come home with him. She immediately took ownership of his friend, curling up into her lap and gibbering away in a mixture of Korean and English. Bella understood a good bit of it, but he always shot his sister looks to be considerate.

He sighed heavily, knowing he probably couldn't get away with denying the offer. Besides, Hyojin would more than enjoy the carnival and she deserved a little fun. "Only if we look fabulous," he joked.

A wide smile appeared on Bella's lips as she clapped her hands together. "Alright then, it's settled! Hyojin go grab your jacket, it may get a little chilly out tonight." she spoke in a cheery tone as Bell got to her feet and watch the child run out the room. A deep happy sigh was exhaled as she turned to face Lee with her hands out. "Come on, get up hun. Let's go have some much needed family time."

Isabela always preferred to her hanging out with both Hyojin and Minho alone as family time. She liked it when it was just the three of them. It wasn't crowded like with her family and plus them three by themselves meant they could get to rides faster than having to wait for her sisters to decided which ride they wanted to go on first. " We are going to have fun tonight, you'll see." With that Hyojin ran back into the room with jacket on and all. The child grabbed her brothers hand eagerly and Bell grabbed her keys off her best friends dresser.

The ride to the carnival was a good twenty minute ride. That time was spent singing along to songs on the radio like mad men and some laughing here and there along with the occasional seat-belt check Bell did every time little Jin would ride in her car. The carnival looked lively, bright colorful lights all over, the smell of popcorn and cotton candy floating through the air and the background chatter and laughter of people made the whole scene come alive."Hey Minho, play me in a game of skeeball. The loser buys cotton candy."

Sienna's heart had been thudding loudly in her ears ever since she and Vincent had been nearly about to kiss. The interruption, though unwanted, left her with heated cheeks and the thunderous sound of her heart trying to beat its way out of her chest. She had a feeling where the night could have gone - they could have very well just went back to her place or his, and she would have let it happen. Would have surrendered despite the warning bells going off in her head and the fact that she would have to answer to her friends the next day about why she was running late to school or where she had been. She would have taken the risk and not given a damn about what anyone else had said. However, they had been interrupted from doing anything too scandalous in Sydney's elevator and her skin was so heated that the drop in temperature outside had her gasping in surprise. Despite her own nervousness and the voice in her head going a mile a minute in her head, she couldn't help but press herself closer to Vincent on their journey to the diner, hand still clasping his.

When they got to the diner and placed their order, the anxiety that their encounter with Sydney had left him with disappeared. He was sitting across from the most beautiful girl in the world and there was nothing that he could complain about. The diner wasn't the nicest restaurant he could have taken her to, and certainly not the most romantic, but they didn't need that. His relationship with her was far past the stage of trying to impress one another. Even though Vincent knew that chivalry was going to be necessary if he ever got the chance to win her back, he wasn't trying to be anyone but himself tonight, and that was easy with Sienna.

Once there, they fell into a sort of easy chatter, easy only in the sense that after placing their orders a veil had been lifted. It was still different, considering the time apart from one another, but Sienna could only smile across the table from him, a genuine and wide one. "I like this," she admitted, fiddling with her hands before her. "I miss this. Just us...hanging out." Although he had originally only suggested the diner for milkshakes, his appetite had gotten the best of him and he ordered a burger and fries as well. The fries had come out first, and he tossed a few into his mouth as she claimed that she missed the two of them hanging out like this. It brought a smile to his face quicker than he would have liked, but he was relaxed enough to not care about seeming to eager. He missed this too, being able to hang out - even in a non-romantic way. Things with them would never be the same as it was before they dated or while they dated, but tonight was coming close to it. If he couldn't have her as a girlfriend, he wanted to at least be friends with her and be able to do things like this.

Sienna could only grin stupidly at the relaxed expression on Vincent's face. More than anything - more than the late night game sessions, them making out, or even those times where they could just cuddle up to some action film - she missed that. The smile on his face, the easygoing nature she had grown up with. She did not get to see it often when they were on either St. Jude's campus or Constance's. Hell, even when he was with friends sometimes and she would see him from afar, this peacefulness in his countenance wasn't always present and she couldn't help the rush of elation that flood through her. She sipped at her strawberry-banana milkshake, immediately recalling why it was her favorite.

"Yeah, I miss it too," he replied honestly, though the smile on his face quickly transformed into a smirk at her next remark. The admittance had her cheeks feeling hotter than ever and in an attempt to not blabber anything else out, she decided to add playfully, "Though I bet I can still kick your ass in Killzone." The game she was referencing was an old shooting game Sienna played with her brothers and Vincent, the two of them always winding up on opposing teams. She still played, though those times with him and her two favorite guys were definitely some of her favorite memories. "Yeah, right. Me and Ricardo were a powerhouse back then, and while you were wasting your time on tour, I was breaking out that old Play Station," he laughed. If he wasn't so happy to just be there, with her, recollecting like that on all of their good times would have stung. Now, he was hopeful that maybe they wouldn't have to miss those times anymore. Maybe they could start doing this again. "I'll challenge you tonight, if you really want me to prove it to you," he said, only breaking his stare towards her when the waiter approached with their food.

Chuckling at the shared memory, she reached over and stole a fry while retorting, "Oh yeah, how could I forget the 'powerhouse duo?'" She even used her fingers to gesture the over-exaggeration of the phrase, popping the fry into her mouth soon after. "Let's be real, you and I both know Ricky carried most of the weight back then and for the record..." She leaned a bit closer as if it were a secret. "I am always down for a game, even when I was on tour."

Before either could say another word, the waiter came back again, this time with Vince's burger. Sienna wasn't hungry, but she was more than willing to steal more fries from Vincent. She was just compulsive like that. "Anything else?" The redhead male asked and Sienna gave Vincent a look before cheesing to the waiter. "Actually, could we bag all of this up?" She turned back to Vincent with a competitive smirk. "Apparently, I need to teach some people a lesson." Her smirk only formed into a grin when Vincent replied, "Yeah, you're going to need to teach yourself a lesson on why you should never challenge a professional."

Rolling her eyes to Vincent's challenge, Sienna prepared herself to leave with him, checking her phone to see that Esmee was on her way home and inquiring where Sienna was. Jane was obviously drunk as fuck and Sydney messaged her, but Sia was having too much fun and actually enjoying herself to allow the queen bee to ruin her night. Opting to ignore Sydney, Sienna turned her phone on silent as they headed out. Hailing a cab wasn't that much of a hassle and before she knew it, they were in front of Vincent's building. And that was when Sienna's heartbeat picked up once more. Vincent brought girls back to his apartment very frequently, but he never felt out of his element. His apartment was his bachelor pad and even if he was bringing back some beautiful model that he had met at a night club, his heart never pushed against his rib cage like it was doing now. Vincent was good at one night stands and talking a girl into sleeping with him. When morning came, they would go on their separate ways and the most he had to worry about was the pesky texts he would get over the next couple of days from her, asking when he would treat her to the dinner he had promised. It wasn't like that at all with Sienna. It was so much more complicated and Vincent knew that if he went through with what his body was telling him to do, he might end up regretting it come morning.

She had been here a few times before, once when his parents had bought it for him and threw a housewarming party. Cynthia had made it clear that Sienna couldn't avoid the event and while she sulked, she couldn't help but smile at Colette's emotional self practically sobbing over her baby boy "growing up." It made her squeeze Vincent's hand lightly, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. The other times she had been here...not all of those had been innocent. Those were the surprising nights when Vincent would text her at some party or bar, and Sienna would tell herself she didn't care - that she couldn't ignore him. But she didn't...she never could. The last time she had been here alone with him...the memories of slick skin sliding against slick skin, warm breath mingling, hands gripping at hair and soft moans in the quiet air of the night - they all rushed back to her and Sienna gulped quietly when they stepped onto the elevator.

Just video games, she reminded herself mentally. We're just gonna hang out and play video games. It'll be fun. Her attempts at trying to convince herself these things were not truly successful as her nerves were still dancing on end by the time they made it up to his place. Once the door was opened, however, and Sienna was inside first, she looked back at Vincent in silence. Screw the games, was the only thought in her head before she rushed at Vincent, lips pressing urgently against his and hands coming up to grip at his hair. They could pretend to just hang out some other time.

As he shut the door behind them, he decided that he would try to get through video games without pressing his lips to hers. He had fought the urge to grab her hand at the diner, or slip his under the table to squeeze her knee, and he could do it again, he hoped. He was going to comment on how both of them had had to pretend this night never happened if their moms asked, since at least his would be enthusiastic enough to hope that something more than just video games had happened. But, the playful remark would have to wait, because she beat him to the chase that he had been putting off all night. He was caught off guard at the sudden advance, but recovered quickly, pushing her back against the wall and returning the kiss in a move that suggested he had been waiting for this moment all night. His hands found their way to her waist and even though he was more than excited to just be making out with her, both of them knew it wasn't going to end there.

By the time they ended up in his bed, he was feeling comfortable enough to peel her eyes away from her body for a moment to remark, "And for the record, you forfeited the video game challenge, so that's an automatic win for me." That win was much less important to how lucky he was feeling already, but he couldn't resist reminding her of it. The laugh burst forth through her lips, low and coming from deep within, eyes shining with want and amusement. "Just shut up and kiss me, asshole," she replied and pulled him back down to her, willing the night to take its time in bringing forth the harsh rays of the morning and reality.

Friday, September 5, 2014// 3:00 pm

As soon as the last bell of the day rang, Sienna was more than grateful to be getting out of Constance. While the year had only truly begun today, all of her teachers decided that it was imperative to stress their students out immediately. So, Mrs. Ellsworth assigned them six different readings, and Mr. Darcy assigned them an online assignment due by Monday at midnight. Not to mention the fact that she had spent the majority of the day sending out invites to Hailey's Saturday birthday party, confirming her own photo shoot, and trying to even decide what she was going to wear. It seemed that the weekend was going to be spent with her getting little sleep, though she couldn't complain. The reminder of her evening activities, in the form of a few hickeys she had to cover up in a hurry, had her grinning to herself secretly all day, despite Sydney's mood.

Once the morning had come, Sienna had hurried home from Vincent's place, purposefully snatching up one of his jerseys as a source of warmth despite the jumper from last night. It had been a reluctant wake-up, what with her trying to press herself closer to Vincent and wanting to ignore her phone. However, Esmee had been persistent. Luckily for her, one of their drivers was waiting outside and rushed her home. The shower had been a brief affair and with barely any time to decide what to do with her hair, Sienna twisted the long locks into a classy French braid, draping the end over her shoulder. Her uniform was definitely her most casual look and a very light makeup for her more tired days was what she fixed herself up with before heading off to school with Hailey and Esmee. Again, walking was not an option as she didn't want them or herself to be late, especially not on the first day. And what a day it had been!

Now that it was over, she was ready to get her weekend started and the first step to that was getting with her favorite girls. She found Esmee easily and the sisters walked down the bustling hallway, Sienna texting her friends. All of the students were buzzing about an actual black light party and their plans for the weekend, their chattering a nice background as Sienna sent her last text, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

Sebastian was more than relieved when the long school day finally drew to an end. Even on a good day, he was mediocre at best when it came to academics. And so his lacklustre grasp of mathematics, paired with the constant pounding in his head - a consequence of trying to keep up with Jane's drinking habits - had landed him a detention with Mr. Sayers, the school's best (and strictest) teacher. True, it was probably Sebastian's fault for sleeping in class. But the way he saw it was: he's never going to understand the work anyway, so why shouldn't he be able to take a little nap instead of being forced to listen to Mr. Sayer's monotonous droning. Alas, the pug-nosed teacher didn't exactly see it the same way and so Sebastian had sat in the classroom, for an extra hour, and re-done the classwork. So when Sebastian was finally allowed to leave, he almost leapt with joy.

Downing a couple paracetamol to try and keep the headache at bay. Sebastian switched on his phone, groaning as the unnatural light did no favours for his head, and checked for any new text messages. Clicking on the one from Jane and quickly reading it, Sebastian raised his eyebrow a little at the brief message - he was honestly surprised Jane could remember anything from last night. Sebastian may have drunk a lot himself, but it was nothing compared to how much Jane managed to drink.

To: Jane
Last night was. This morning, not so much.

He sent the text, referring to the killer headache he, and most likely Jane, had. While his phone was still open, Sebastian received another text, this one from Piper. Sighing when she brought up the Young&Reckless photo shoot Sebastian had forgotten all about, he sent back a quick reply. Hoping that he wouldn't look so hungover tomorrow.

To: Piper
Yeah I'll be there, it'll be fun. Haven't really had a chance to catch up w/ u.

Sliding his phone back into the trouser pocket of his school uniform, Sebastian heads to his car, one of the only cars left in the school's parking lot since he was getting out so late. Getting into the front seat, Sebastian had decided not to bother with a driver today. And besides, he found that driving really helped take his mind off the dull pain. So, he turns the key in the ignition and sets off. Wanting to get as far away from the school as possible.

After a while, Sebastian realised he didn't really have anywhere to go. His sister and nephew were out at a playgroup and there was no way Sebastian was going to go back to his dad's where his step-mother and brother would no doubt be waiting to piss him off. Instead, Sebastian headed in a familiar direction, to a house he hadn't visited in a long time. It was stupid really that Sebastian was doing this, they hadn't been friends for so long but right now, all he wanted was some chilled, drama less contact. And who better for that than his old friend Lee?

Arriving at Lee's house. Sebastian debates whether this is the best idea. He didn't think Lee would bring up what happened, but he couldn't be sure. The Lee he knew wouldn't, but this wasn't the same person. They hadn't properly spoken in a long time. Lee could easily have changed completely. A couple minutes of internal conflicted ensued, until Sebastian decided that he's here already so he may as well give it a go.

Knocking hesitantly on the front door, Sebastian rocks on the balls of his feet, anxious, as he waits for someone to answer.

Carolina's first day of senior year was uneventful. She had skipped out on Sydney Vale's, because not only did she not receive an invitation to the prestigious event, but it was the last night she was spending with her mother. The next morning, after boarding the public bus to get to school, her mother was hailing a cab and heading to JFK airport, on route to Florida. The decision to leave for Florida with no set date for her return was a sudden one, so sudden that Carolina didn't have much time to process how her life was going to be changing. After school, she wouldn't return to the lower Manhattan apartment that she had spent thirteen years in, but to her new place of residence in the Upper East Side. She was moving in with her sister and her husband, who Carolina couldn't imagine referring to as her "brother-in-law", since he was old enough to be her father, and Jane Lynch. She had been to their penthouse only one time before, on Thanksgiving of last year when she had been invited with her mother, The space itself was something to marvel at, but Carolina wasn't as excited to be living with Jane Lynch as she was for the upgraded living quarters.

Maybe it wasn't fair of her to already be judging Jane. They had went to school together for three years already, but as far as she could remember, she had only had one exchange with Jane before. It was during the first week of freshman year, when Carolina was still trying to learn her way around the school, and had jumped into Jane as her eyes were focused on finding a room number on her schedule. Carolina's quick, yet meek apology, was met with a disgusted look and a "Can you not?" that had instantly turned Carolina off from her. At this point, her sister and Jane's father weren't seeing each other and their interaction ended there. A year or so later, the news would be sprung on Carolina that her sister was engaged to Adrian Lynch, but aside from the wedding and that one Thanksgiving, Carolina didn't interact with the Lynch's any more than normal. She had no reason to, until two weeks ago when her mother announced that she needed to relocate to Florida to care for her ailing mother. The only option was for Carolina to be placed in another foster home, until her sister stepped in and offered to take her into their home. Carolina was in no position to turn down the offer, since the new foster home had the potential of being in another borough and making her commute to Constance even longer than it already was. Besides, she loved her sister and had convinced herself that the Lynch mansion would be large enough that she would rarely cross paths with Jane anyway. She couldn't imagine Jane having a problem with her living there, and that was the case, but that was only the case since no one had told Jane that she was moving in.

She would find out soon enough, because minutes after Jane left the apartment to meet Sienna, Carolina and Nicole were returning from their mother's apartment with two boxes of Carolina's possessions. "This is going to be so great! I'm so excited that we get to live together again, Car. I mean, the whole thing with grandma sucks, but I've missed my baby sister!" she playfully pinched Carolina's cheek, which she swatted away. "Are you sure that Adrian doesn't mind? And Jane?" Biological or not, Carolina did see Nicole as family, but she didn't think she would ever feel the same way about the Lynch's. Being back in their extravagant penthouse alone, reminded her of how different she was for them, and she didn't want to be a charity case or their good deed of the week. "Don't be silly! Adrian is just as excited as I am, and it'll be good for Jane to have someone else here. She can be..." her sister appeared to be trying to figure out the right word, the least offensive one, maybe, or one that wouldn't scare Carolina off. "She can be a little much, but it's just something to get used to. I mean, she was raised so differently than us, but I'm sure you're used to that with the girls you go to school with anyway." Carolina didn't respond with words, only an unsure frown that was returned with a tight squeeze from her sister as they stepped into an elevator. "I promise you that this will be fine." Carolina was grateful for her sister's reassurance, and even though she wasn't quite sure she believed the promise, she had to offer a smile. If she went into this with half an open mind as her sister, things had to end up being fine.

A minute conversation between her sister and a woman who appeared to be hired help confirmed that Jane was not home. That allowed Carolina to relax just a little bit, as her sister led her down a long hallway and stopped in an open doorway. "You can take this room. Adrian said that I should let you choose any of the spare rooms, but this one has the best view," she winked, pointing towards the large windows on the other side of the space. It was a magnificent room, and it had to be at least three times bigger than the one Carolina grew up in. She set the box of clothes on the ground next to the one her sister had been holding and stepped inside. "I sort of agreed with Mom that it was weird of you to marry an old man, but I guess living in a place like this is a fair trade off," she joked, seemingly mesmerized as she sat down on the edge of the bed. "Hey! Love has no age, brat," she grinned in defense. "I would have married Adrian if he was dead broke." The burst of laughter from Carolina proved that she knew that was far too true, and with a defeated smile and roll of her eyes, Nicole turned to leave the room. "Unpack your shit and stop being a little bitch! I'm going to see where Jane is and maybe us three can see a movie later."

When the door closed and Carolina was left to herself, she soaked in her new bedroom even more. Gigantic windows with a view that was as spectacular as Nicole claimed, a queen sized beg with the thickest blankets she had ever felt, her own attached bathroom, and a closet that was larger than her old room. She could get used to this.

She rummaged through her boxes of possessions, sorting clothes out into her dresser and closet, and frowning at how they barely made a dent in the empty space. She couldn't complain. She didn't need a plethora of clothes and "stuff" to make her happy, but it sure did look bare. She hoped that once she got more used to the space, it would start to feel like less of a hotel and more of a bedroom. She hoped that, or that her mother would end up coming home sooner than expected. As she propped herself on her bed and flipped on the wall-mounted television, captivated by the thousands of channels the Lynch's paid for, she took out her phone.

To: Sienna
I wanted to say hi to u in physics but Mrs. Palmer would not shut up D:. Long story but I'm rooming w ur bestie now. Should I kill myself now lol?

To: Lee

Lee spent most of his Friday reflecting. The first week of school had, of course, passed by as uneventfully as it always had. He kept his head down, kept to his studies, practiced, took care of his sister. Thing was...Lee was bored. More bored than he had ever been in his life. He was starting to blame summer on that. He'd branched out for once...partied, slept around, done drugs he'd never considered before, drank until he was spending the night crashed out on the bathroom floor.

Now all of that was gone. He was back to being good, unbothered, out of the spotlight. Part of him missed it. With Isabela gone, and Sebastian no longer in his life...well, he was down to no one. Lee was really beginning to consider making new friends. Especially now that Jin was older...she didn't need his constant supervision, and she had after school activities to keep her busy.

Which left Lee alone. On the upside, that made it completely okay for him to walk around his house in nothing but a lowslung pair of black basketball shorts and eat his weight in homemade ramen, but really, there had to be more interesting things to do with his life. He was walking from the kitchen to the livingroom when there was a knock at his front door.

Lee arched an eyebrow, stuck his chopsticks in his mouth, then opened the door with his now free hand. Sebastian. He blinked for a moment, looked between his old friend and his door, then stepped back and examined it closer before finally reaching up and moving the chopsticks so he could speak. "Sorry, I was trying to figure out how I opened the door to last year."

His phone went off then, a chirping from his pocket that made him once again stick his chopsticks in his mouth so that he could answer it. There was a text from Carolina, which made him grin despite himself. So, he wasn't completely out of friends.

To: Carolina
Holy. Shit. Ur joking right?

He shot another glance at Seb then sighed, grabbing his chopsticks again before walking inside his house. "Well, come in then."

Sebastian wasn't sure what to do when Lee opened the door. He had obviously been expecting to see him, but at the same time had kind of hoped that he wasn't home. So, instead of doing the normal thing and saying 'hey' or 'what's up', Sebastian stood their in silence and squirmed under Lee's sharp gaze. It wasn't until his old friend finally perked up and said something and Sebastian found himself being able to breath again. Even managing to smile a little at that familiar dry humour of Lee's. "Sorry this is kind of um - I mean - Sorry I didn't tell you I was coming over." Sebastian chokes out, stumbling over his words. If there was one person that could make him flustered it was Lee.

Sighing with relief when Lee moves out the way to let him into the house. Sebastian thought he might have just closed the door in his face - And he wouldn't have blamed him. Sebastian knew what he did to Lee was unfair, putting him in a situation like that and then ignoring him for years. Actually, he was a little surprised Lee hadn't just told him to get lost. But perhaps he had missed Sebastian as much a Sebastian had missed him. That thought calmed Sebastian a little as he stepped into the house that had once felt like a second home to him. "Is, um," Sebastian starts before losing track of what he was going to say and mentally kicks himself for being such a moron. Stop it, He chastises himself, Lee's gonna think you're such a weirdo.

Attempting to, once again, compose himself. Sebastian makes sure to keep his eyes trained on Lee's face, ignoring the boy's bare torso as he follows him into the living room. Oh God what have I done, Sebastian thinks as they sit in silence. How could this not have been awkward? Clearing his throat with a cough, he looks down at his feet, moving them about in his black boots before finally thinking of something to say. "You gotten any better at C.O.D or can I still easily beat you at it?" Sebastian asks, a small smirk forming at the corners of his lips.

After school, the two boys would always end up at one of their homes playing some kind of video game (usually Call Of Duty) and - Sebastian was never one for gloating but - after being beaten badly by Lee the first couple times, he'd decided to practice really hard; managing to get good enough to finally win some games. However, since Sebastian modelling career had seriously taken off, and he'd lost contact with Lee. He'd become incredibly rusty, barely playing on his PS4 once since him and Lee stopped hanging out. Not only that, but Sebastian found that when he played video games, he always felt a little sad. Like something was missing. Or more likely, someone was missing.

Being here, right now, with Lee brought up feelings within Sebastian that he'd struggled hard to keep buried. And he found that even after a long time, those feelings still remained. Which scared him. Not only because he wasn't one for real relationships but because Lee is, was one of his best friends and he's a guy! It was insane. Sebastian had to hide that side of him, he just had to. Going through what had happened with Vincent again would break him. Usually Sebastian was the sweetest, most easygoing guy but when he thought about Vincent and Lee and everything that happened, he felt stressed - and more than a little upset. He'd lost two best friends by being himself. He wouldn't let that happen again. How would Hailey react if she found out about him being bisexual? Or Piper, or Jane. God, he could never tell Jane and risk losing her. No, he'd keep these feelings bottled up inside and try to just be friends with Lee again. Try to mend their broken relationship.

Taking a moment to gather these thoughts, Sebastian places an easygoing smile on his face to hide the internal conflict going on beneath. "C'mon let's play, or are you too afraid of me beating your ass?" Sebastian teases, finding it so easy to slip back into their old ways.

Lee sat himself down on his piece of shit couch and focused on his food while he watched his old friend enter the room. It was odd, and awkward, and Lee wondered not for the first time how the hell they managed to get to this point in their life. Since when did he ever need Seb to tell him he was coming over? Or...not be able to hold a conversation with him.

Lee missed him. Lee missed him so much that sometimes it actually physically hurt. But he was still more pissed than anything. Sebastian had made his decision, Lee had just rolled with the punches. He could have fought, that was true, but...life took them in different directions and at the time being it had seemed like a good idea just to let go.

There were more than a few moments of complete silence while Lee ate his soup and Sebastian stared at his feet. He was about to sigh, ask if he should put on a movie or something, when the other male finally spoke. "Heh," he muttered, dropping his chopsticks in his bowl. "You wish you could beat me."

Actually, Sebastian had gotten pretty good before they'd split, enough so that he was an actual opponent and Lee wasn't just completely destroying him. But he kind of had a feeling that Seb hadn't played in a really long time either. Just like that, it was like they were back to old times.

Lee hopped off the couch and went to pull the gaming system out from under his tv, hooking it up with practiced ease before tossing one of the controllers back to Seb. "You want a soda?" he asked as he grabbed his dirty dishes and circled around to the kitchen. His place was small, so it wasn't hard to carry on a conversation back there. "Cigarette?"

He already grabbed himself one, lighting up and taking a drag before balancing it between his lips while he went to dig for drinks. It was another habit he'd picked up over the summer.

Sebastian was beginning to relax as he sat on Lee's old couch, smirking at the boy's comeback. "We'll see." Sebastian retorts, trying his best to put on an ominous voice but failing when he laughs softly. Watching Lee light a cigarette, Sebastian's smile fades slightly - Since when did he smoke? Sebastian thinks, confused. It really has been a long time since they last saw each other. Looking at Lee when he's offered a soda or cigarette. "I'll have a soda if you've got one," He says before shaking his head, "But I don't really smoke." It's then that Sebastian receives an incoming text, and whilst Lee is still looking for the drinks, he quickly checks it.

The text was from Jane, and she seemed incredibly upset. Sebastian tries to think of what to respond, he had no idea what happened. That was until he received another text from one of his junior friends, telling him to check out a post about Sydney Vale. Skimming it, Sebastian sighs. Of course. There always had to be some kind of drama going on in that friendship group, and no doubt Sienna and Sydney had managed to drag Jane into their mess. Quickly composing a new message, Sebastian sends it to Jane, hoping she's okay. But he couldn't exactly leave Lee's now. Not when they're starting to get along again.

To: Jane
What happened? Do you want me to come over?

Of course he didn't want to leave Lee's, but similarly, Sebastian was never going to ignore a friend that clearly needed comforting. However, he may as well stay with Lee until he knew whether Jane even wanted him to come over. And so Sebastian slips his phone back into his pocket and turns his attention back towards Lee - who was still very shirtless, which Sebastian found rather distracting. Focusing his gaze on the arm of the sofa (it is all he can do not to stare at Lee), his thoughts turn to the party tomorrow, and whether he should go or not. He knew Hailey would be upset if he didn't show up, especially since they'd grown so close over the summer. And he was kind of looking forward to it; but he also knew Jane probably wasn't, and Sebastian would miss it to stay in and watch movies with Jane, if that's what she wanted.

Wondering if Lee was going, Sebastian takes a breath, before shifting his gaze from the armrest to Lee's face, keeping eye contact. "Hey, are you going to Hailey's tomorrow? It sounds pretty fun." Which it did - and a lot more laid-back than Sydney's extravagant party. Besides Hailey had said there would be body paint which sounded awesome to Sebastian. He so hoped Jane would be going, or he'd feel guilty leaving her alone.

"That's cool," Lee offered when Sebastian turned down the offer of a cigarette. Honestly he was kind of grateful, they were expensive enough that even Lee didn't grant himself one often. But he needed a little something to calm his nerves. Sebastian's presence was...messing with his head. Putting him on edge. He had every right to kick the man out he just...didn't want to.

When he came back with two sodas his old friends attention was focused on his phone. Given his expression Lee could only guess at what was going on. He sat his own can down so he could pull the cigarette out of his mouth. "Trouble with the higher-ups?" He asked as he passed the other drink over. He didn't particularly care about the answer, so he busied himself with setting up the game. He still had his and Sebastian's old profile, will all their achievements and whatnot, so they could literally pick up where they'd left off. How symbolic.

He looked up in time for Sebastian to ask about a party and Lee arched and eyebrow before flopping back down next to him. "Don't exactly run in the right group to get an invite to that kind of thing," he pointed out. Especially these days, with Bella gone and Carolina just getting to town, his friend group was pretty small.

While the world was crumbling down for many members of the Upper East Side's most spoken of popular clique, Carolina's was only getting better. She only allowed herself to remain on her new bed for a few minutes before her curiosity go the best of her and she was exploring her room again. To think that this was a spare bedroom was crazy, and she had half the mind to venture out of her bedroom and explore the rest of the penthouse. What would the kitchen look like? The living room? Her attached bathroom had it's own television! She couldn't imagine what unnecessary but undeniably luxurious features the rest of the house would have. Nicole had reassured her that it was just them two... and a hoard of housekeepers in the penthouse, but Carolina still didn't feel comfortable enough venturing out on her own. This wasn't just not her house, but it was Jane Lynch's house, and even if Carolina wasn't scared of the girl or her friends, she also knew to stay in her place if she wanted to avoid conflict. That was how it went at school, and she imagined that was how it was going to go here, too.

"That's this amazing Italian place down the block! Do you want to try it in a little?" she heard her sister calling out from down the hall. Carrie didn't feel like shouting back. Not only was the place big enough that her voice probably wouldn't reach her sister, but she felt like the Lynch abode was too nice for shouting... if that made sense. It reminded her of a museum, almost, where everything was too nice and expensive for a commoner like her, and she had to be cautious not to ruin its ambiance. So, rather than shout back through the bathroom and bedroom and hope that it would reach Nicole, she left the box of toiletries that she was unloading on the bathroom counter and hurried towards her bedroom door. She cracked it open and called out in a voice barely louder than a normal speaking tone, "I'd rather just order something in, if that's okay. I might have to go out in a little while for student government anyway." The thought of Sunday's event had only come to her when she was about to tell Nicole that she was down for Italian, but as soon as she remembered, she knew it was better to keep tonight open in case Lottie wanted to meet up.

To: Charlotte
Hey Lottie is anyone from SGA meeting up tn to go over the details of Sunday's event? LMK if so. I'll be in the UES for a while now so for once it shouldn't take me 20 mins to get to u guys like it usually does lol

"We can stay in and watch something in the theater after, then!" her sister yelled back, clearly more comfortable here than she. But wait... they had their own movie theater?! In the house?! Maybe her mother uprooting to Florida wasn't such a bad thing after all.

To: Lee
Not joking. They have a THEATER in their house man. My mom wouldn't even buy a TV for my room and they have a fucking move theater in their house. Come over and check this place out when ur not busy with Jin

To: Piper
R u kidding me?! At least he's ok. Send him a kiss from me lol and yes!!! My only update is that I moved in w my sister's husband.... aka ur bestie's place... but I wanna hear what's going on. Come over I'm sure Jane would rather u b here than me anyway

Her text to Piper couldn't have been more true because before she could run back into the bathroom, her door swung open and this time, it wasn't only her sister on the other end. She had managed to get to her bed and sat on the edge of it as she blinked at the two woman standing in the doorway. Carolina shouldn't have been surprised to see Jane since this was her house, but it was just weird seeing her out of school to begin with. Carolina rarely attended the parties and social events that Jane hosted or attended (mostly because she was rarely invited), and she didn't think that Jane attended many of the SGA events held outside of school. It was a bit of a reality check to see her there, since this was going to be her new life.

Apparently, Jane wasn't very happy with it, and as Carolina did a double take, she realized that her sister had said something about this being a "surprise". Carolina couldn't blame her for being shocked since she was clearly just finding out about her moving in, but did that really constitute the completely rude "you have got to be kidding me" that Jane spoke before storming down the hall. What a bitch... She flashed Nicole a look of displeasure and half expected her to run down the hall after the angry princess. "She's upset about something else... it's not you." Her sister looked distracted and maybe even genuinely concerned as she continued to switch her gaze from Carolina, to back in the direction that Jane had ran off in. "Uh, she looked right at me when she said that," Carolina objected, raising an eyebrow. "No, don't take it personally, Car. Mom told you about all of the shit I've had to deal with with Jane, right? She just thinks that the whole world revolves around her and doesn't care if she takes her issues out on anyone else. You just can't take it personally. That's what I learned, and if she ever gets too nasty, just tell Adrian that she hasn't eaten all day. He'll either send her back to Illinois or we can watch her squirm through a meal."

Her sister was trying to be playful and Carolina had to laugh at that mischievous grin, but it just reminded her how immature her sister could be. Maybe it was normal for a twenty-seven year old to still want to seek revenge on a bratty teenager with an attitude. Nicole never was a kid person. At the same time, it also suggested that maybe she wasn't mature enough to be married to someone old enough to have a bratty teenager with an attitude. Carolina barely knew about the "shit I've had to deal with with Jane". She would overhear the phone conversations where her Nicole complained about Jane slamming doors and sobbing when she didn't get her way, but she didn't know the details. The eating disorder issue too, which her sister was not gracious in referencing and making fun of, Carolina was on scarcely aware of. From the way it had been explained to her months ago, Jane was just a normal body-conscious teenager. When her sister had called months ago and mentioned that Jane was going to some treatment facility, she had explained it in a similar fashion as she was speaking now - about how Jane had been so bratty that she convinced Adrian to get rid of her for the summer.

That's why, it was hard for Carolina to feel bad for the girl who had just expressed how pissed she was about her moving in. She didn't think Jane had real problems and if her moving into one of the... nine? ten? spare bedrooms in the house was that big of an issue, that oh well. Life would go on for Carolina, that was for sure.

Sebastian only shrugs in response to Lee's question about the 'Higher-ups', putting the mobile away. "There's always something going on with them, I'm sure it's nothing that important." Sebastian says, but couldn't keep the worry out of his voice. What was Jane so upset about? The posts had nothing to do with her.

Smiling slightly when he notices Lee kept their old profile, Sebastian grabs a controller, sipping his soda as he does so. When Lee tells Sebastian that they don't exactly 'run in the same circles', Sebastian frowns a little. He'd never really noticed who Lee hung out with, because it was usually just the two of them, occasionally Carolina would tag along but it tended to just be the two boys. But after thinking about it, Sebastian realised they were both very different. Sebastian usually hung out with the 'popular crowd' while Lee opted to stay out of the limelight. It worked like that even when they were best friends. "You could come with me?" Sebastian suggests nonchalantly, referring to Hailey's party, "Like, as a friend." He quickly adds in. Not wanting to give Lee the wrong message and scare him off. Sebastian wasn't definitely wasn't sure that his feelings towards Lee were completely platonic, and he had known Lee was gay since he came out to Sebastian years ago. However what he was sure of was that he didn't want a relationship - not with a guy. Or at least not right now.

Ignoring that thought, Sebastian is just beginning to get comfortable when he gets another text from Jane, skimming it Sebastian sighs, she seemed so upset. Leaning back against the arm of Lee's sofa, Sebastian turns to him. Looking at him while he decides whether he should leave. He really didn't know what to do. Jane hadn't stated that she wanted him to come over, but then again, she might still be expecting him to. Jane did that a lot. Sebastian guessed it was her strong sense of entitlement. While he really loved Jane, he knew that was your average Upper East Sider, thinking that people should come running to her when she needed them. Which Sebastian usually did. But not today, he couldn't and didn't want to leave Lee.

Deciding that if she texted him again, asking him to come over he would go. But for now, he wanted to enjoy Lee's company - for the first time in ages. Placing the soda on the side, Sebastian turns back to face the television his hands gripped around the controller. "Okay, let's do this." He grins, settling into his seat. Sebastian pulls his legs up onto the sofa unintentionally nudging Lee's thigh, quickly choosing to ignore the burning sensation in his cheeks and instead, attempting to recall how exactly it was that the game even worked.

He had a feeling he wasn't going to win this one - If any.

Lee's phone went off again, momentarily distracting him from whatever Sebastian was dealing with in his own group of friends. Carolina's texts were cracking him up. He couldn't imagine how it felt though, to be uprooted like that and just moved into a place like the Lynch's. Hell, he'd only ever been inside places that nice on a handful of occasions. He hadn't even been to Sebastian's that often in the past, because of Jin his house had usually been the center of activity.

To: Carolina
Shit I had to save up to buy my own piece of shit tv, I'd kill for a fucking theater. You. Me. Movie Date. Soon.

It was very possible there wasn't anyone else on the planet Lee liked as much as Carolina. She just...understood him, on a level no one else could. On a 'Childhood Sucked, White People Everywhere, Once Poor, Not Putting Up With Your Popular Bullshit' level. He hated being short with her over text...half of him wanted to just catch a train and go see her ASAP. But...

He looked over at Sebastian and realized there was something he wanted a little more. Because it'd been so long since he'd had this and who the hell knew how long it would last. And then he remembered that damn party they were talking about. He arched an eyebrow silently, knowing he had a judgmental expression on his face, but honestly...why not?

He snorts and rolls his eyes. "Of course, as a friend," he muttered, more under his breath than anything else. He wanted to ask if Sebastian had meant a lot of things as a friend, but even Lee wasn't stupid enough to push his luck. He'd been handed an inch, there was no reason to stretch it out. "Yeah. Sure. Why not."

He took a few last drags of his cigarette before dropping the blunt on the coffee table and pulling his lefts up to sit criss-cross. It put them closer, his knee basically resting on Seb's thigh, but he didn't care, didn't make any attempt to move. Instead, he focused on the game.

Half an hour later and he was nearly crying with laughter, leaning over the arm of the couch and holding his side. "Oh my, God, Bastian you actually suck. See, this is why you can't be without me too long. What the hell have you been doing with your life? Spending too much time working on that pretty face of yours?" It was an old jab, one only enunciated by Lee's ever so rare grin. He trash talked with compliments and complimented with trash talk, that was absolutely nothing new. Somethings never changed.

Sebastian smiles happily when Lee accepts his invitation, oblivious to the edge in his voice. "Awesome!" Sebastian was actually beginning to get excited for Hailey's party, "Oh and it's one of those Black Light parties, so try and wear something bright." Sebastian tells him, even though he knew full well that neon wasn't exactly Lee's thing and the boy would most likely just show up in dark colours - as usual.

Saying nothing when Lee rests his knee against his leg, Sebastian stares straight ahead at the Tv, trying to distract himself from it. His cheeks burned even redder but Sebastian tried his best not to let the contact phase him. He put all of his thoughts into trying to win the game instead. After a half an hour - that felt like an eternity - of losing, Sebastian dropped the controller, frustrated. That frustration only mounting as Lee tells him he sucks. "You're cheating," Sebastian concludes, eyeing Lee suspiciously and trying to work out how he could possibly have done, "You have to be, no one's that good!" However, even when annoyed and frustrated, Sebastian couldn't keep a smile off of his face and hearing Lee's familiar laugh only made it grow wider. He had so missed this.

Turning to Lee and pouting a little Sebastian says, "You couldn't even have been nice and let me win one?" Feigning hurt, but unable to sustain it. He was in far too much of a good mood to even pretend to be upset, and a grin kept creeping onto his face whenever he heard Lee laughing. It got to the point where Lee ended up laughing so hard at Sebastian inability to win even one game, that Lee was bent over and clutching his side. Sebastian remembered how rare it was to see Lee smiling, that to have gotten him to cry with laughter completely overjoyed, even if it was at the expense of himself. Sebastian could handle being teased for being rubbish at video games. As long as it meant Lee would keep laughing, Sebastian was happy. He loved Lee's laugh.

He had even found himself enjoying Lee's trash talk. Which wasn't exactly trash talk because it usually ended up complimenting Sebastian, and he didn't mind that at all. "I swear, one day I'm gonna get so good at this and win - then we'll see who's laughing." Sebastian pulls a face at Lee, despite knowing full well that even when he played video games practically everyday with Lee, he only occasionally won. Lee seemed to just have a knack with games. Or maybe it was just Lee's presence that put Sebastian off his game; he did often find himself drifting away from the screen to look at his old friend.

Finishing off his soda, Sebastian decides to send a quick text to Hailey, making sure that she was cool with him bringing a friend. Making sure not to spend too long on the message, as he didn't want Lee to think he was disinterested in hanging out with him, Sebastian swiftly types it up.

To: Hailey
Looking forward to ur party tonight. is it cool if I bring a friend?

Sending the text, Sebastian looks at the screen where the game was still up, and then back to Lee. "I'm not sure I want to keep playing," Sebastian says, while he didn't mind losing to Lee, it was getting a bit much. "Not unless you want to, y'know, let me win one?" He adds with a wink, nudging Lee's shoulder, "Because you're such a great guy." Sebastian attempts to butter Lee up a little, while still being incredibly teasing.

Lee had never been to a Black Light party, but he'd heard of them before. He very highly doubted he had anything appropriate in his closet...except jeans and possibly, possibly a white v-neck left over from summer. He figured that would have to do, because there was definitely no neon. He could use that as an excuse to back out though. Because really, what the hell was he thinking?

At some point Sebastian turned to him and asked if he could've been nice and let him win one, and Lee very literally had to bite down on his tongue to keep from asking you couldn't have been nice and talked to me for the last year or so? Part of him wanted to still, but there was a very delicate bridge they were standing on and Lee would be damned if he cut the ropes himself.

Thing was, Lee couldn't even stay passive-aggressively angry for very long. His best friend was in his house, sitting next to him and accusing him of cheating just like old times, grinning so wide it looked like his face might split in two or something. Lee loved it. He loved it so fucking much he was willing to step down off his high-horse long enough to enjoy it.

All of his laughing and squirming ended up with him sitting with his back against the arm of the couch, his feet propped up on the cushion next to him. It put his attention half on Seb and half on the TV, but he'd probably still win. They were talking more now than anything though, the screen still frozen on pause from when he first started laughing. "Whatever, you wish you could beat me. But it's never gunna happen."

He took a drink of his soda while Sebastian was busy with something on his phone for a moment, getting over his laughter and drowning half the thing at the same time. He put his can down and was just about to start another level with Sebastian mentioned not wanting to play anymore. He laughed again, especially when his shoulder was pushed at.

"Whatever," he laughed, using his foot to push at the other mans thigh in retaliation. "Fine, we don't have to play anymore." He smirked to himself as he thumbed through the menu options, saving their latest scores which took Sebastian's profile down quite a bit. He tossed the controller away before facing his friend completely, dropping his head against the couch and smiling. "What do you want to do instead?"

- sorry about the length -

Rolling his eyes playfully at Lee's cockiness, Sebastian only internally vows that one day, he's gonna beat him. And when he manages to - or more like, if he manages to - boy is he gonna gloat about it. Lee won't be able to a day without Sebastian bringing it up. Just as payback for Lee's arrogance today. Poking him right back in the chest, after Lee's retaliation, Sebastian laughs along with him softly. Almost completely forgetting that they'd ever stopped talking for so long. Sebastian found himself starting to believe that the whole incident never happened and that they were still the best of friends. Oh, how many times Sebastian had wished for that to be true.

Pouting as he watches his score on his profile decrease a fair amount, Sebastian shrugs at Lee's question. "I don't mind," He replies, thinking for a moment. As he does, Sebastian finds that he stomach begins to rumble. Biting his lip embarrassedly, he looks to Lee, "Um, we could always make food?" Sebastian suggests, not wanting his stomach to rumble again. Lee glares at him for a moment, eyes narrowed like he may or may not actually answer, before finally sighing and rolling his eyes. "Sure, fine, what do you want?"

Sebastian thinks for a moment, he didn't exactly want to ask for something Lee didn't have, so instead, he asks, "Uh, well, what is there?" Slightly awkwardly, Lee's standoffish behaviour throwing him a little. Lee considers him for a moment, runs a hand up through his hair before shrugging slightly. "Korean shit, mostly. My mother still shops at Korea Town when she can get away with it. There...might be spaghetti. Possibly stuff to make pancakes..." Sebastian's eyes light up a little at the thought of pancakes, but he tries his best to conceal his childish excitement. Instead opting for a nonchalant, "Yeah, I don't mind - Pancakes sound good though, I mean, if you have the stuff for them." He adds a shrug for good measure, but can't keep a small smile from appearing on his lips. "Oh, my god, you actual adorable five year old." Lee rolls his eyes fondly before shoving his friend and pushing himself up off the couch. "We've got to make them from scratch so get off your ass and come help." Sebastian's smile widens into a grin when Lee calls him adorable, jumping up off of the sofa to follow him into the kitchen.

He couldn't help his childishness, there was nothing that Sebastian loved more than pancakes. They had always been his favourite food, ever since he was a child and as he grew up, they became almost a comfort food for when his father was being aggressive and his mother wasn't there. Taking in Lee's tiny kitchen, Sebastian opens the fridge and pulls out a carton of eggs and some milk, "You need these right?" He guesses, Sebastian had never actually made pancakes himself. In fact, he'd barely made any food in his life, which meant this was all the more exciting. Lee looks over his shoulder and nods before digging in the cabinets for the flour, baking powder, and other, little ingredients. "Yeah, grab the butter too, it should be on the top shelf. Also..." he sits the containers down and leans over, unscrewing the lid to the milk and sniffing at it before nodding in approval. "Yeah, just the butter, we're good to go. Do you want fruit? We can throw in some blueberries or strawberries...might have some chocolate-chips leftover..."

Doing as Lee asked and grabbing the butter off the top shelf, Sebastian leans against Lee a little to place it on the counter before replying, "Oh! What about both? Strawberries and chocolate chips!" The delight in his voice evident. Cooking seemed fun, especially with Lee, and Sebastian thought that maybe he should try and do it more often. Lee gives his friend a half amused look before rolling his eyes again slightly. "Switch places with me," he mutters, hands falling on Sebastian's hips as he pushes himself between the small amount of space between his friend and the counter behind him. "The chocolate chips are in that top cabinet. Do you mind?" Lee could reach the high doors if he climbed on the cabinet, but it just seemed easier to get Sebastian to do it while he searched for the strawberries.

Sebastian's eyes widen when Lee's hands land on his hips, but quickly relaxes again when he realises that Lee was only doing it to move past him. Reaching up to grab the chocolate chips from the highest cabinet, just like Lee told him to do, Sebastian again, leans over his friend to set them down, beginning to become much more comfortable with all of the contact. In fact, he kind of enjoyed it. "Okay when do we get to the eating part?" Sebastian then asked, however much he may enjoy this whole cooking process, he also wanted his pancakes. Lee arched his eyebrows comically, and gestures at the raw materials as a whole with his arms. "I mean, be my guest. How much plain flower do you think you can manage?" He kicks the fridge shut with his foot, adding the strawberries to their pile. Sebastian laughs at Lee's sarcastic comment, enjoying his friend's dry humour. "Okay, okay." Sebastian rolls his eyes, "I just want to eat pancakes..." He sighs, looking down at all of their ingredients. "We have everything - what next?" Sebastian then asks, truly lost as to what he was supposed to do now.

"How do you even survive?" Lee asks, rolling his eyes slightly. He moves around the kitchen easily, handing Sebastian a bowl at some point, arms brushing against his friends back when he has to step too close. "Here," he hands over an egg and cracks one of his own gently, dropping the eggshell in the sink before doing one more. After that he walks through the dry ingredients, showing Sebastian how to measure them out and throw them in after the eggs. Sebastian tries his best to keep up with Lee, but ends up quite confused. So he just waits for Lee instructions before doing else, not wanting to mess it up. While Sebastian measures out the flour, Lee begins to beat the eggs. However, as Lee brings his elbow out to whisk, he hits it into the bag in Sebastian's hand, causing a shower of flour to fall down upon him. "Shit!" Sebastian curses as the flour coats Lee's side and back, "I'm sorry." Grabbing a sponge from the side, Sebastian doesn't give himself time to think about what he's doing before he finds himself wiping Lee's bare back with the sponge, feeling incredibly guilty.

Lee goes stiff almost immediatly, looking down at the splashes of white covering his already pale skin, but more so the feeling of Sebastian literally cleaning him off. he clears his throat and tries to side-step out of the situation, but there really isn't a lot of room, while he wipes at what he can reach of the mess. "Um, it's fine, I can...it's fine, you don't have to..." When Lee says this, Sebastian blushes a soft pink colour. "Oh, um sorry, I-I, just uh.." He trails off, removing his hand from Lee. Seeing there's still some on Lee's back Sebastian sighs, "It's just you, um, you still have some on your - uh - on your back." Sebastian manages to get out, averting his gaze from Lee to the floor.

Closing his eyes, Lee's fingers tightening on the counter in front of him, breathing through his nose a couple of times before finally giving a little nod. "Okay...um, then, if you don't mind?" He says and Sebastian mimics his slight nod before placing the sponge back onto Lee's back and trying to get off the flour. It was probably the most awkward situation he had ever been in, and what made it worse was rather than the flour just coming off as he'd hoped, it seemed to cling to Lee's skin and Sebastian wiping a wet sponge over it, made it turn into some kind of paste and stick even more. It took him ages to finally wash off all the flour that had been spilled on Lee, and Sebastian found himself holding his breath for the most part. The tense atmosphere overwhelming. Once he had finished Sebastian took a big step back from Lee, "I, um...Think it's all gone now." Sebastian murmurs, his eyes still on Lee's back.

Lee does his best to keep still, to make the process as easy and as quick as possible, even though that didn't particularly seem to be happening. He kept his eyes closed, focused on breathing through his nose, definitely did not relate the situation to any he'd been in during more...intimate situations. "Thanks," he murmured, when it was finally all over, taking one more breath and clearing his throat awkwardly. "Alright, um, if you want to...remeasure the amount of flour we needed. We can, um...pancakes." Sebastian nods again, "Yeah, pancakes.." He mumbles, taking the flour and extra cautiously measuring it out again. After successfully doing so, he hands it to Lee, making sure that it doesn't spill again.

After Lee had finished mixing up the batter, Sebastian keeping his distance so they didn't end up in another, 'situation', they were finally ready to make the pancakes. The excitement of actually getting to make them overwhelmed Sebastian and he pushed what had just happened to the back of his mind. "Can I pour it into the pan?" Sebastian asks, excitedly. Lee just rolls his eyes and nods, handing the batter over to him. The first pancake Sebastian did was a mess, it was all over the place and thicker on one side. Lee watched him fail with a bemused smirk, before stepping forward and taking Sebastian's wrist. "You're not doing it right." He chastises, guiding Sebastian's hand so that the mixture is even and perfect in the pan. "Awesome!" Sebastian beams, watching the pancake cook.

When the pancakes were all cooked and ready, the boys retreated back to the living room, sitting down on Lee's old sofa and happily tuck into their pancakes. Ignoring what happened between them earlier and focusing on eating instead.

Jane might have twisted the story around to make it seem like Carolina was desperately pleading for her to escort her to Hailey's party, but that definitely was not the case. In fact, it was almost the complete opposite of what had went down! During their day of shopping, Nicole had asked her what her plans were for the night. She and Adrian were going to some fancy soiree at the home of one of the designers that LVMH owned, and just to make it seem like she wasn't going to sit home all night and study, she mentioned Hailey's birthday party. Carolina had received an invitation via social media from Sienna, but she didn't really plan on going. Lee had said he was going with Sebastian, which completely caught Carolina off guard because... since when were they friends again? She didn't question him about it, because one, she wanted to save that for an in-person chat, and two, it was a good thing that he was mending his relationship with Seb. Carolina could be antisocial and while Lee could be as well, she thought that it was only a good thing that the boy had one more friend to hang out with. Still, that meant that one of her closest friends was off the list as someone to show up with and Charlotte said she was going with Sienna. There were other student government kids or "school friends", as Carolina referred to the small group of kids she hung out with in classes but not off campus, that she probably could have tagged along with, but honestly, she didn't really want to go. Partying and getting drunk were fun for most teenagers, including herself, but Hailey was already making her way into Jane's crowd through Sienna and Carolina just wasn't used to attending those types of parties. Besides, after spending all night on Jane's English assignment and all day out with her and Nicole, she really did have a lot of work to catch up on.

Hailey's party was simply an excuse for her sister not to worry, or more accurately- badger, her about staying home on a Saturday night when all of New York was at her fingertips. The plan turned on her, though, when Nicole requested that she bring Jane along with her. Apparently, Nicole's manicurist also worked for Constance students and had overheard them talking about the school's drama, which she promptly passed on to Nicole. However she had phrased it gave Nicole a better idea of what was going on in Sydney Vale's group than Carolina had gotten from Jane's indecipherable sobs the night before, because she claimed that Jane needed a friend now more than ever. And so, that duty had somehow fallen onto Carolina's shoulders. Nicole had clearly planned on springing the assignment on her before she let her know at dinner, since when they got home, among the items that Carolina purchased was an outfit for the party. She was skeptical at first, but after trying it on, she had to admit that the neon cutout bralette was cute, especially when matched with the Converse Allstar's. Was it cute enough to convince her that tonight would be the fun night Nicole tried to claim it would be? Definitely not. But it was enough for her to text Jane around eight o'clock, to see if she was ready to go since she hadn't heard from the brunette since she left dinner without warning.

To: Jane
So.. my sister said it might be easier for Max to just drive us both to this party together?? U ready?

To: Sienna
Lol don't worry about it u kno idc. I think I heard wat went down anyway so I totally understand... but yeah my sister wants me to take Jane. i'll find u when i get there.

To: Lee
U at the party yet?

Even though Sienna's response to her text suggested that she would have at least one friend there, Carolina didn't want to leave without Jane. The only reason why she was going was because her sister expected her to bring Jane, and if Sydney was going to replace her and go with Jane, there was no real reason for her to go. As she studied her reflection in the mirror, she decided that she did look good enough to kind of want to go, but would she even have fun? If Lee wasn't there, which his lack of response suggested, then she doubted it. Sienna was always a ball of energy but she had so many friends and Carolina didn't want to cling to her like some awkward reject. The idea that the party was being thrown by someone who was new in town was reassuring, though. That meant that it couldn't be as exclusive as one thrown by Sydney Vale and the likes, and the theme of the party seemed too fun to be filled with any bad or judgmental vibes. She decided not to answer Jane's text, even though she felt like telling her to go fuck herself for the "I'm not rushing for you" part. Instead, she opted to wait a little while for the duo to get ready and walked down to the kitchen to pass some time.

Her sister and Adrian had already left for the dinner party they were invited to a few blocks away, and in a "the hell with it" mood, Carolina decided to search for the liquor cabinet. She was going to need something to loosen her up before going to the party anyway, and Jane's attitude made it seem all the more necessary. The Lynch's house was still an unfamiliar space to her so it took a few minutes and many opened doors for her to come across one filled with bottles of alcohol. They were all top shelf brands, with many of them being brands that Adrian's company LMVH owned. Carolina wasn't picky when it came to alcohol and normally opted for whatever cost the least at whatever seedy corner store would sell to her underage friends. Having access to bottles of alcohol that probably cost hundreds of dollars was daunting, but hearing the voices of Jane and Sydney down the hall washed away any reservations she had. She filled a glass with a generous amount of the Belvedere vodka and mixed it with orange juice. It was certainly strong, but went down a lot smoother than the cheap vodka she usually drank at parties, and as she grew more and more impatient with Jane, it began to taste pleasurable.

When her glass ran dry, she decided that there was no point in waiting for Jane. She clearly had no regard for Carolina who had been waiting at least a half an hour to leave and there was no telling how much longer she and Miss Queen Bee would take. For all Carolina knew, they would end up skipping the party last minute anyway, and she would have wasted her whole night. Now that she was in the mood to go, she wanted to get there before her buzz wore off. Sharing the same disregard that Jane showed her, Carolina didn't even text the girl as she took the elevator downstairs and headed out to the car. Coincidentally, as soon as she had sat down in the back seat, she received a text from Jane, essentially telling her to hurry up because she was ready. It had Carolina rolling her eyes before Max could even ask where she was headed to. This bitch...

To: Jane
Already down here... I was waiting 4 u, remember?

In a shocking twist of events, Jane didn't take three years to come downstairs! Carolina knew that she was being impatient too, but god, was this girl inconsiderate. And to think that she was doing this to be nice to Jane, who apparently had lost all of her friends! "I thought Sydney was coming," she commented as the car pulled off. She couldn't have cared less about the response, but decided to be the bigger person by breaking the silence in the car. Glancing over at Jane, she noticed that the girl didn't seem to be in a bad mood anyway. It was a short ride to the building the party was being held in, and Carolina only looked over at Jane briefly before thanking Max and stepping out of the car. "So, do you know this girl... Hailey?" she questioned once Jane had stepped out too. She was still feeling good. She was happy with the outfit her sister had chosen and was ready to get another drink in her system, but she was sort of hoping that Jane wouldn't abandon her right away. At least, not until she downed that drink and was ready to break out of her quiet "don't talk to me, I won't talk to you", side, or until she found Lee.

To: Lee
U better be here!

Sunday, September 7th | 12:30 PM

Sunday was turning out to be an extremely busy day for Sienna and she wasn't exactly sure how she felt about it yet. The party last night had been pretty damn fun and exciting, especially seeing some of the more prim and proper students actually throwing the cares and inhibitions away. She herself had had a good time, especially with Jane, Piper, and Charlotte being her party buddies at different points of the night. She didn't know nor care if Sydney had made a presence, and if she had, Sienna had not paid it any mind. She had made it her mission to enjoy herself and downed two Mai Tai cocktails and only three shots, which was definitely safer than her typical antics. Maybe it was because she was trying to be coherent enough to evade Vincent when he did appear with Ricky...

...which brought her to her current issue. "Let me guess, you're vying for best friend of the month award," she snapped into her cell phone while sending out a few blasts online to the various volunteers for the afternoon. It was a very classy event they were hosting, a lunch of sorts with very light entrees, champagne, and a few other delicate treats. She had helped Charlotte and Victoria with the initial planning, but eventually stuck to doing her original job, which was more along the lines of garnering media attention of alumnae who still be around, various donors who would probably donate funds again, a few other social media management duties that had been bequeathed to her. Afterwards, she would have a small dinner with Jay Z and Beyoncé about her upcoming EP, another session in the studio despite having doing one earlier in the morning, and finish whatever homework she had not touched. She had not had time to construct an attire that would allow her l show out and even had decided on one of her most bare looks, opting even for the bare minimum in regards to makeup. The dress she chose was classy and casual, and the shoes were just edgy enough. She even had to deal with the fact that Hailey was preparing to leave since, apparently, Sydney slamming her for drugs Sienna still believed did not belong to Hailey had run amuck through the halls and a few other rumors had spread. It was too much stress and dealing with being new to all of it, Hailey had not been prepared for anything. So, she was leaving and Sienna had oversaw her getting on a flight extremely early in the morning. Which was why she was not in the mood to play by Ricky's rules.

"Oh come on, Sia. Give me a little credit," his voice rumbled through her ears over the speakers, and Sienna scowled because she could hear the chuckle he did not release. "You say it like it's a bad thing." Sienna growled and Ricky laughed a bit at the sound. "Don't you think that if I wanted to talk to him, that I would have already done so?" Ricky smirked on his end, finishing with his tie. He was in the process of getting presentable for this event, having shooed away his conquest from the night before at the crack of dawn. He really hated when girls wore make up that they were only going to fuck up by morning. Honestly, it was an unattractive look and was probably the real reason he had sent her away so early. "The only reason you haven't spoken to him is because you're scared." Sienna paused and his smirk only grew at her silence.

It had never been hard for Ricardo to understand Sienna. She liked to think she was a bit more complex and in a way, she was, but she also was not hard to decode. Her fear at whatever she would hear from Vincent at the explanation of his "relationship" with Sydney was the main reason for her ignoring him, not her anger at the lacrosse star for being in a Snapchat. Ricky had singled that fact out last night when he acknowledged her ignoring Vincent to her face and seeing the almost guilty look in her eyes was enough to solidify the fidelity of his theory. No one could say that the king of St. Jude's wasn't an intelligent individual, that was for sure. Sienna's mouth opened and closed twice, and Esmee looked up from the seating chart Sienna had asked her to look over, running her hands through her pin-straight hair she stared at her sister curiously. Shaking her head, Sienna rose from her seat and left her laptop with Esmee, opting to walk out in the lobby instead of continuing the conversation in the ballroom. "Fine, I'll talk to him before this. Satisfied? She griped into her phone and Ricky could only laugh and admire his attire for the afternoon with pleasure. "Delighted." He replied and was not surprised by the click that followed.

Once off the phone with his Royal Asshole-ness, Sienna huffed and puffed, pouting for just a few minutes. She had fallen for Ricardo's tricks again. She could have ignored his allegations and ended the call altogether, but - and she was very aware that he knew this - she wasn't going to let him just call her out like that. She wasn't scared of talking to Vincent. It was freaking Vincent! She could have this conversation with him and then he could go back to telling everyone she didn't mean a thing to him, and she could go back to hating him. And damn those thoughts for saddening her for the seconds they dwelled in her mind. Messing with the loose strands that framed her face unlike the rest of her hair, which was styled in a side bun, Sienna paced along the floors for two minutes before making her decision. She dialed Vincent's number and waited for him to pick up, not giving him much time to say anything before cutting in, "Look, we've got thirty minutes til this event begins, and I can't leave since Charlotte isn't here yet, so if you still wanna talk, I'm here. And if not..." She bit her lip for a second, contemplating it before continuing. "..if not, then I'll see you when I see you." She hung up before the conversation could go any farther, staring down at her device for a few seconds longer than she would have admitted.

The cool air from outside grazed her warm skin due to various guests exiting the hotel and it reminded her that she needed to be on the move. She needed to make sure that everything was in place so Charlotte wouldn't have too much to stress over other than her speech. Preparing herself for possibly speaking with Vincent and dealing with the unwanted pleasantries that came with lavish events such as these, Sienna turned back and headed towards the ballroom once more, sending out messages to various peoples.

Victoria ended up keeping to her word that she wouldn't make any posts about Jane. She still had no reason to want to protect Jane personally, but a few other reasons kept her wanting to hoard the secret to herself for the time being. For one, her blog had been more active than ever over the past few days. Between the post about Sydney and Vincent, and then the one about Charlotte, she had enough page views and buzz around the page to keep her satisfied. The Jane story would be a good one, not in the way that Charlotte or Sydney's was, because stories involving scandalous romance were always instant-hits, but simply because she was part of Sydney's circle. Those girls were viewed by many as being perfect and 100% flawless, and shedding light on how horribly flawed one of them would be would always generate a good story. That led into the second reason. Her attention had drifted away from one of Sydney's troubled friends to another: Piper. Victoria found out that she was the one who slept with Ed at Sydney's party on Wednesday, and the revelation had Tori wanting to burn Piper to the ground (figuratively and literally). She and Edward weren't technically together the night of Sydney's party. Victoria had broken up with him days before, claiming that he wasn't good enough for her, but she had done that countless times in the past. She didn't really think he would move on, but she should have known that being admitted into Saint Jude's would turn him into a manwhore. That, coupled with Piper Vine, being who Tori now declared the biggest slut in Manhattan, being near him, only spelled trouble. She would put a stop to that, though. After sending Ed many angry (and arguably, a little crazy) voicemails on Wednesday and not hearing back, Victoria decided that she needed to take things into her own hands.

She kept her fingers away from her keyboard on Tuesday and Wednesday and focused on school work. Constance Billard wasn't exclusive just for social reasons. The work there really was rigorous and coupled with studying for the last rounds of SAT's, Tori was overwhelmed with academics, despite it only being the first week of school. Besides just not having enough time to figure out what her next move would be, being back in the classroom reminded her of where she stood on the social ladder. She had used a lot of moxie to act against Sienna but in real life, she wasn't as brave as she was behind her keyboard. In school, she was still the girl who couldn't eat lunch with Sydney Vale and her friends on the steps of The MET, or hop into the town car that Vincent and Ricardo showed up in after classes ended to pick up their girl friends. She was herself, but that wasn't enough, and it infuriated her. So much so, that by the time classes let out on Thursday and she hurried into the town car waiting for her, she couldn't stop herself from making a post to her blog. The idea of going home to an empty house with no real friends and no real family always bothered her, but on the anniversary of her mother's death, her emotions were running more rampant. Maybe she would have still made the post anyway, but today was the day that came once a year, that reminded her that she had less than her peers in more ways than one. Victoria was too young when her mother was killed for her to really remember much, but she knows that had she had a real maternal figure in her life, things would have been different. How, she isn't exactly sure, but she just knows that she wouldn't loathe herself so much. If she had a mother all her life, like all of these other girls, she wouldn't have wanted to be anyone but herself.

I needed a little hiatus after all of the mayhem that our precious little Upper East Siders entertained us with this weekend, but don't worry, darlings; I'm back ;). We all know that this Friday is the annual party that Constance Billard's group of royals throw, and this year, our hostess is none of than Piper Vine! Trust me, I'm just surprised as you that she's managed to stay in that group for so long. Now, to help us all get in the spirit for what's destined to be an ~exciting~ party, I decided to dedicate the next few blog posts to the hostess with the mostess, and what better way to do that than to leave you with some fun facts about her?

 • As you can see, she can deep throat just about anything! Ask the bathroom attendant at Sydney Vale's party, I'm sure she can personally attest to that ;)

 • Sydney isn't the only one in the coveted inner circle that goes for the boys who are taken, so ladies, watch out. If you don't want your bf pinned to the bathroom floor, forced to make out with her, take this as a warning (or follow Charlotte's lead and pretend that you actually aren't dating your boyfriend! Apparently, Brent Barclay is one of the very few guys that Piper hasn't slept with yet!)

We've still got over 24 hours until her big party starts, so check back in for more. I'm saving the juiciest details for last ;)

xoxo
