| Family |
Sebastian Huntington Sr. | Father | Fifty-Eight | Sebastian Jr. and Sebastian Sr. have a rather rocky relationship. Whilst everyone else appreciates Seb's pretty face, his father looks down on him for choosing a career in that rather than what he calls 'real work' {e.g. taking over the family business}. Often Seb's father has called him a 'waste of potential'.
Janice Huntington | Step-Mother | Thirty-Five | Does anyone like their Step-mother? Well, Sebastian certainly doesn't. Janice went from their maid one minute, to his new mother in the next. He completely blames her for his parents splitting, however unfair that may be.
Arthur Huntington | Step-Brother | Sixteen | Sebastian likes Arthur even less than Arthur's mother, and that's saying something. Seb sees him has an annoying brat who, along with his mother, ruined Seb's happy family.

Clémence Bellamy | Mother | Forty-Eight | Sebastian's mother is a very caring person, but since starting her new family, she has become increasingly distant towards her other children. Choosing to focus on her new life instead, which breaks Seb's heart because he truly adores her.
Eugène Bellamy | Step-Father | Fifty | Naturally, Sebastian dislikes Eugène, as he does all of his step-family. However, he's finding it harder and harder to hate such a kindhearted, likeable man and is slowly warming up to him.
Gabrielle Bellamy | Half Sister | Nine | Sebastian may have a distaste of all the step-family he has. But he could never hate someone related by blood, even if it is only half. Gabby is a sweetheart and Seb loves her very much, despite her many temper tantrums.

Adelaide Huntington | Sister | Twenty-Two | Addie had always been the dark horse of the family. Whether it was her dying her hair bright pink as a teenager, or getting her nose pierced without her mother's approval, Addie didn't like to play up to their family's whole 'perfect' appearance. So nobody was too surprised when she got knocked up by an unknown man and moved to Brooklyn. Seb still visits her frequently and adores her son.
Gerard Huntington | Nephew | Two | While Gerard may be the most adorable two year old in existence {at least, Sebastian reckons he is}, Addie is still only twenty-two and can't spend every waking minute with him - she's got to go make a life for herself too. That's when he comes to Seb, and Seb takes him willingly. He may not be the brightest boy, but Seb sure loves to dote on those closest to him.

| Home Life |
Sebastian Sr. and Clémence first met when Sebastian was on a business meeting in France, she was his waitress in a small café on the outskirts of Paris. While still in Paris, Sebastian took her out on many dates, dancing and drinking. When it was time for him to return, Sebastian pleaded for Clémence to return to America with him but she had more common sense than to runaway from her life in France to go and marry a businessman she'd know for less than three weeks. However, after Sebastian returned home Clém couldn't stop thinking about that charming man she met. So - being the impulsive young girl she was - Clémence quit her job, bought a oneway ticket to New York and the rest is history.

Two children and millions of pounds later, Sebastian Sr. now ran his own Surgery Practice and operated on only the wealthiest of clients. Clémence, on the other hand, was restless. She was done being the trophy wife of the rich and famous Sebastian Huntington Plastic Surgeon to the stars but she stuck by her husband because she loved him too much to ever leave. Unfortunately, Sebastian Sr. didn't seem to feel the same way and looked for excitement elsewhere - such as in the pants of their young housemaid. It was only when they were caught going at it by their eldest child, Adelaide, that Clémence ever found out.
Distraught, Clémence fled the Huntington household without a second thought for her children, and flew back to Paris to stay with her parents and divorced Sebastian Sr.

For years it stay that way, with Sebastian Jr. and Adelaide receiving the occasional letter and phone call from their mother whilst constantly being looked down on and called disappointments by their father who had, by then, remarried that same maid he had the affair in. Not only bringing her into their family but also her incredibly bratty child.
Sure Sebastian Jr. and his sister got everything they wanted paid for them by father, but they'd much rather have had a present mother and father than trinkets and trophies.

Five years after she had ran back to Paris, Clémence returned. Bringing with her a whole new family. Now, Sebastian Jr. felt well and truly out of place, either with his Father and his new family or his distant Mother and hers. Even Adelaide had moved on and had a child of her own (even though Sebastian knew Addie would never kick him out if he turned up on her doorstep).

So for now, Sebastian is running between staying with his Father who likes to belittle him every time they meet, his Mother who barely notices him anymore and his Sister who loves him very much, but just doesn't have the space to keep him for long.

| Academic Career |
Unsurprisingly it was Sebastian's father who got him into St. Judes. Besides from the countless of thousands Sebastian Sr. has invested into the school, he also gave a certain Headmaster a small facelift. Sebastian, though a real sweetheart, isn't too intelligent so a scholarship to St. Judes was never an option. He once got a B+ on an English paper, but that was probably the height of his academic career. He's dated a fair amount of girls from Freshman to Junior year but no one he's ever really had feelings for. Sebastian has only told a few friends about his sexuality so far as he fears how the rest of the school will react.

| Future Plans |
While Sebastian already has a small modelling career, he hopes to work on his modelling portfolio more over the Summer and still plans on going to an Ivy League University (all thanks to his father's money) but there's no way he'll be following in Sebastian Sr.'s footsteps and take over the family business, much to his father's dismay.

| Personality |
Kindhearted | Dopey | Thoughtful | Gullible | Fickle | Flirtatious

Sebastian Jr. has always been attractive, even as a young boy he was absolutely adorable. And because of this, he's never had to work for anything in his life. Things have always just been handed to him on a silver platter, whether he likes that or not. His life might seem perfect but because he's never had to work for anything, he's never developed any skills of his own, he's never studied all that much and he rarely tries at anything. For example - There's no way he'd ever be able to get into St. Judes on pure intellect alone, no, it was his fathers money and skills that got him in.

Because he's never had an proper life skills Sebastian isn't very resilient and doesn't realise not everyone is there for him. This is what makes him very gullible. He'll believe almost anything anyone tells him because he doesn't think they'd ever do anything but want to help him. It might make him sounds self-centred but that was just the way he was brought up, and he doesn't have to smarts to realise it.

Despite being rather dopey and gullible, Sebastian really is a sweetheart. He loves his dysfunctional family more than anything in the world and would do anything for them, even if his father does constantly put him down and belittle him for not being 'good enough' by his standards. Sebastian Jr. is also an amazing friend, he's incredibly perceptive and thoughtful, so even though he doesn't possess academic intelligence, he's very good at knowing what people like and what they're feeling because it's his job, as a model, he has to know how to make people feel good enough to buy what he's selling, or show them something he knows they'll like.

Sebastian often thinks he's in love. Maybe it's because he has such a distant family that he wants to attach himself to the nearest person that shows him affection, who knows. It's just apparently obvious Sebastian's need to feel loved. He is a master flirt, and because he's so perceptive, he can pick up on what girls like almost instantly. However, his affections only last for so long before he's off onto the next girl {not guys, he doesn't want his father to hear about that}, a trait he picked up from his father.

He's quite a popular guy, despite not being too intelligent. People seem to like him because he's just so..Likeable. Plus his many girlfriends tend to impress the majority of the guys. And still, most of the student body, much like his family and possibly the rest of the world, see him as just a pretty face.

It's Thursday, September 4th, and for the students of Constance Billard School for Girls and Saint Jude's School for Boys, that means that school is back in session. Both schools are located only a couple of blocks away from each other in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the neighborhood where most of the students reside in.

Although today is the first day of the school year, academic classes are not in session until tomorrow. Today is the day of the "welcome assembly", where the upperclassmen of both schools will come to Constance Billard from 9:30 to 11:30, and the underclassmen from 11:30 to 1:30. The short day will allow the Head of School to welcome the students back, and address any changes that have occurred over the summer. Students will also have an opportunity to socialize with their friends and possibly new classmates, and introduce themselves to their teachers for the year. Textbooks will also be available for pickup.

Later that night, Sydney Vale will be hosting her annual back-to-school party at her home. This year's theme is black & white, but even dressing in one of the colors won't guarantee that you'll get in if you didn't receive one of the exclusive invitations this summer.

Sebastian had been up since 6:30 am, after his baby nephew had started bawling. His sister, Adelaide, was out at work already, so it was Sebastian's duty to look after the little one. Picking up Gerard his small crib, Sebastian cradles the two year old in his arms as they walk towards the kitchen of the small studio apartment. His sister's place definitely wasn't the large estate his father lived in, or the luxurious penthouse his mother owned on the Upper East Side, but rather sweet a two bedroom with a small kitchenette. And Sebastian adored it. The apartment wasn't cold and empty like his father's, it felt lived in; it felt like home.

"Let's get you some yummy food," Sebastian coos, placing down Gerard in his little blue highchair and opening the cabinet that hung above it. Pulling out a plastic purple bowl and spoon, Sebastian then grabs a banana and starts to peel it before chopping it up into tiny pieces and placing it in the bowl.

Completely ignoring the spoon, Gerard picks up the pieces with his tiny hands and starts to shovel the banana into his mouth, a big smile on his face. Whilst watching the boy eat, Sebastian pulls out his phone, after a text message from his dad's assistant made it bleep. His father wanted him back soon so that they could have the 'family' breakfast before he and his bratty step-brother, Arthur, had to go to school.

Rolling his eyes, Sebastian knew he had to go, however much he'd love to just stay here the whole day with Gerard - forget about school and the rest of his family. "Sebby!" Called Gerard, who had his hands stuck up in the air and banana smooshed all over his face, obviously wanted out of the highchair. Picking the boy up and placing him on his hip, Sebastian dumps the bowl into the sink and puts the unused spoon back, bouncing Gerard as he did, which first made the boy giggle and then burp very, very loudly. Which only proved to make him giggle more. "So-o-o-rry Sebby." Gerard says through a fit of tiny, high-pitched giggles.

"Better out than in, I suppose," Sebastian replies, laughing softly with Gerard as they made their way back towards Adelaide and Gerard's bedroom. Letting Gerard down onto the ground, Sebastian hunts around for some clothes to replace Gerard's dinosaur pyjama set. Whilst he was doing that, Gerard was stomping around on the floor, pretending to be a T-Rex and bashing into Sebastian's legs attempting to eat him. "Oh no, G-Rex, please don't eat me," Sebastian cries, playing along while also looking for the clothes. "Rawr, rawr, rawr!" Gerard continued to plough into Sebastian's legs before the older boy swooped down and picked him up in his arms.

"Okay G-Rex, you can play dinosaurs with Uriah," Sebastian said, Uriah was the son of Adelaide's next-door neighbour who looked after Gerard when Sebastian couldn't. "But first you need to tell Sebby where your clothes are before I gobble you up and you can't go!"

Squealing, Gerard Writhes in Sebastian's hands so he puts him down and the little boy shoots off out the room. Only to return a minute later with some small, kaki shorts and a red polo top, covered with dinosaurs. "You and your dinosaurs," Sebastian laughs, shaking his head, picking up the boy and placing him on the bed so that Sebastian could dress him.

Once he was dressed and ready to go, Sebastian took Gerard's small hand in his and they stepped out of the apartment. Only to go two doors down to where Angela and Uriah lived. Knocking on the door, Sebastian bent down and planted a quick kiss on Gerard's cheek, messing up his blonde hair as he did. "Be good, ok?" Sebastian tells him as the door opens.

"Okay Sebby, goodbye love you!" Gerard called behind him as he charged into the apartment. Laughing lightly and turning to look at Angela, Sebastian gives her a warm smile, "Thanks for taking him, again, Angie." He says gratefully.

"No prob Seb, besides Uriah loves Gerard." Angela replies, returning the smile. Much like Adelaide, she was a young mother, in her early twenties, Sebastian assumed. "Well, thanks for dropping him 'round." She finishes, with a slight wave.
Sebastian nods, "Bye Angie." Before turning around and heading to where the elevator was.

Once he was safely inside the car his father had sent for him, Sebastian pulled out his phone from his jeans pocket and began typing:

To: Hailey
Can I just come on your tour w/ you? summer ended too quickly :(

To: Jane
Will I see you @ school? Missed you this Summer.

Sebastian had no idea Hailey was going to be attending St. Jude's sister school, Constance Billard this year as she was planning to surprise him. Nor did he know where Jane had been over the summer vacation. All he had seen of her the entire time was the selfie that she put up recently on Instagram and honestly, Sebastian felt a bit like he'd been blown off. Of course, he wasn't going to tell Jane that because he was sure she had a legitimate reason, Sebastian just wished she'd had told him. However selfish that may sound.
And falling back into his old ways, Sebastian had just opened another new text message to send to Lee, before realising that they were no longer friends and cancelling it, a small wave of sadness washing over him as he did so.

Pushing the sadness to the back of his mind, Sebastian decided that seeing his father would only make his mood worse, so he quickly shot Quinn, Sebastian Sr.'s assistant, a text:

To: Quinn
Please tell Sebastian Sr. that Sebastian Jr. isn't coming to his stupid breakfast.
Also, Sebastian Jr. requests that you kick Arthur for him.
Thanks.

Leaning back against the headrest and tucking his phone back in his pocket, "Hey, um, change of destination," Sebastian tells the drivers, "Turns out my dad wants me to just go straight to school." Smiling appreciatively as the driver nods and turns the car around. Sebastian certainly wasn't looking forward to being back at school and he wasn't sure whether or not he was looking forward to seeing everyone again, either. But even school was far better than going to his father's house and having to socialise with the home-wrecker and her kid.

While waiting for Sienna to be ready, she felt her phone vibrate once again and the text tone sounded off. It was Sebastian, or Adonis as she likes to call him sometimes. She read the message and laughed silently to herself while holding her phone up to type a response but then saw that Sienna was ready to go by the time. Hailey had thanked Sienna for her kind words about her clothing choice and that she was awesome. She couldn't help but smile then jumped off of the bed with the nod of her head. "Whoever Syd is, seems like she is a person who doesn't like to be kept waiting." She snickered at her comment then looked down at her phone as they left Sienna's room and walked down the hallway, waiting for the elevator. She went back to typing the previous message to Sebastian.

To: Sebastian
Sure, you can come next time. :3 And yes, I completely agree, Summer is now bummer. Haha. :)

Hailey hit the send button then looked at Sienna's sister as she stepped forth. "Wow. You look amazing." She spoke towards Esmee while being basically dragged into the elevator by Sienna. She heard Esmee's question then looked at Sienna, who replied. Hailey let out a breath of relief because she honestly didn't feel like walking neither. She linked her arm with Sienna's as they strolled throughout the lobby and towards the outside. Hailey looked at Sienna as she spoke. "Yay! Styling and profiling on my first day." She laughed again then looked at the limousine as it approach.

She was the first to enter and climbed right on in. As Sienna pulled out her phone and asked about first day selfies, Hailey surely wasn't the one to pass up on the offer. She posed, with her lips poked out and her index finger touching the bottom lip. Once Sienna had took the picture, she pulled her phone out excitedly and threw herself across the sister's lap, exclaiming. "My turn! Everyone make a funny face." She held her phone up high but at an angle then stuck her tongue out the side of her mouth with her face all scrunched up.

Hailey laughed after snapping the picture then leaned up and taking her seat back beside Sienna, staring out of the window beside her now. "Wow. I'm so nervous but excited at the same time." She rolled her window down slightly as she loved the New York scenery. It was absolutely breathtaking and mesmerizing. Hailey really couldn't wait to see the other girls at the school and hoped that they were epic just like Sienna.

Sebastian's phone buzzed with an incoming text as his driver pulled up to the front gates of Constance Billards. Fishing out his phone from his jeans pocket, Sebastian read both of Jane's texts and smiled, getting out of the car to go and find Jane in the courtyard.
However, just as he began making his way over to her, Jane walked into the school building with Sydney and some of her other friends. Rolling his eyes ever so slightly, Sebastian continues to follow them in. Jane obviously wasn't feeling very patient this morning as she hadn't bothered to wait for him - Regardless of her being the one who texted him to meet up.

Brushing it off, Sebastian surveys the other people arriving at the school and notices Lee. Stopping just in front of him to say hello, Sebastian stands there in silence for a split second, forgetting about what happened, before remembering and awkwardly moving on. His cheeks hot. Well that was more than just a little embarrassing. Taking a deep breath in an attempt to clear his head, Sebastian walks to the large doors that lead into the building and pushes them open, letting them swing shut behind him.

Inside, small clusters of people stood in the hallways, all chatting and laughing. Sebastian smiled slightly at the familiar sight; despite abhorring the academic side of school, Sebastian loved how social it was and had missed seeing all of his friends daily.

Seeing Jane, Sydney and Piper all standing together, Sebastian is about to make his way over before sensing the tension between the three of them. He wasn't too sure what had happened, but he assumed that he wasn't the only one Jane neglected to tell her plans to before vanishing this Summer, and while he may forgive her immediately, Sebastian knew Sydney was a lot harder to win over.
Deciding that if this was the case, Jane might want his support, Sebastian begins walking over to the three of them. Before he is stopped in his tracks by the sight of familiar blonde hair.

Was that Hailey? No it didn't make sense, she didn't go to Constance, and besides it wasn't like Hailey was the only blonde in the world. In fact, since Syndey's rise in popularity, the amount of (fake) blondes in the school had become overwhelming, all styling their hair like hers in the hopes to be just as popular as Sydney Vale.

Thinking that he may as well know for sure if it is, in fact, Hailey. Sebastian walks over to where the blonde stood, her head turned away from him. The girl then moves her head to look around at everyone and Sebastian gets a glimpse of her face. It was definitely Hailey.
Still confused but also incredibly happy, Sebastian lets out an excited "Hailey!" as he pulls the girl he hasn't seen for months and months into an embrace.

Sienna winked back at Charlotte for their ever-present nickname exchange just as she finally reached her phone. She took a sip of her coffee before peering down at her phone, a small smile flitting across her face at the sight of a message from Isabella. She really wanted to see the brunette before they all went their separate ways, but her schedule probably wouldn't permit it. While Jane and Piper may have had time to blow and Sydney might very well make be making sure that everything was perfect for the party tonight - which Sienna had no problem with since she was exactly the same way - but Sienna did not have that luxury. She had to be prepared for school while also getting out music, which was always a hassle. And it infringed on a lot of her free time and she was pretty sure she was going develop an actual addiction to coffee in the near future, if she wasn't already addicted now.

Her eyes moved over to Jane and Piper as they disconnected from Sydney somewhat, watching the brunette with a smile still on her face. Sienna's habit of holding grudges just could not last - not when it came to Jane. And if there was one thing that she and her friend shared in common other than their loves for fashion and partying, it was their emotions. They felt things too deeply, far less composed than the icy queen bee. Granted, Sienna had her moments where she could be quietly vengeful and exchanging underhanded digs were just like second nature, but even she could not always hold it together. So, she was unsurprised by Jane's thinking that Sydney hated her. She just didn't want her to think that it was actually fact. Which was why she decided to text her back.

To: Jane
Nobody hates u, J. We all need 2 talk. No running. I can stall 4 the nite but its important.

Sienna returned her attention to the group, nodding to Hailey absentmindedly when the new girl thanked her for her drink. Her eyes, without much restraint, fell back on Vincent. She didn't mean to look at him, didn't mean to allow her gaze to rake over him in appreciation as she did. Definitely not little Vince anymore, her brain decided to taunt her, which was completely necessary because Sienna had noticed the change. Oh, she had noticed. Had taken all of this into account over the years - how much more lean he became, how his jaw line suddenly became more defined, how - no matter what - his eyes were still the same shade of blue...

Her gaze immediately sought out Sydney only for her lips to form a small smile. Just before Sydney's mask slipped back on, Sienna had seen it. Hunger. Appreciation. Entitlement. Lust. Perhaps the "entitlement" part was simply Sienna feeling suddenly bitchy, but she couldn't help it. She had to look away, concentrating on Hailey who said they should probably head inside and Charlotte who more than readily agreed. She should have known this would happen. She and Sydney could never truly get along, not unless this Vincent thing was out in the open. It was probably highly irrational for her to be as upset and despite any efforts on her part, the conflicted emotions were probably evident on her face. She didn't have a hold on Vincent anymore. He had made that clear when he wound up in bed with Sydney when they were still dating and even when he slept with another girl nearly a day or so after they officially broke up. That thought didn't, however, rid of her of the jealousy brewing inside of her.

"You're right. We should go before the Head comes out and throws a bitch fit," she said monotonously, hating herself for the edge still in her voice. She stepped away from the group then, not afraid to break away from her clique. Unlike Sydney and sometimes the others, Sienna had no problem with identifying herself with other groups. Her life revolved around remaining as open as possible, partly because she had always been friendly but also as a marketing tool. Her face and voice made her marketable, the curvy body she was growing into made her even more marketable, but it was her personality that truly sold everything. Besides, when she needed a break from her friends - when something Sydney did made her emotions all the more visible and barely contained - a refresher like talking to the girl from her biology class was sure to do the trick. However, she did not come in alone and turned back to call for Hailey only for the blonde to be engulfed in a tight hold.

Sienna almost dropped her coffee.

When she and Sebastian had hooked up last year, it had been more out of the heat of the moment than actual feelings. Which Sienna had felt just a bit bad for after the fact. She hated meaningless flings and sleeping around. It was a waste of time and sure, it sounded fun. She just didn't do it as often as people thought she did. However, once their fling fizzled or perhaps they simply both agreed to let it pass, she hadn't seen him again. She had heard Sydney and Jane in conversation talk about this elusive "Sebastian" figure plenty of times, and she was sure the others knew him as well. But when it came down to particular events, Sienna would have a prior engagement her mother and manager planned out, and she would always miss this figure. She had been beginning to think he didn't exist...

...until she saw Hailey being wrapped in familiar arms. Arms Sienna herself had been enveloped in. She gulped audibly, biting her lower lip as she took in the excited expression on Sebastian's face. He had been attractive back then and by God, he was gorgeous now! All tall, curly hair and pretty-eyed and she could remember why her team had chosen him as her faux boyfriend for the music video they chose. Her heart was thumping against her ribcage madly and she prayed like hell the others wouldn't notice the actual nervousness creeping onto her face. At the same time, she had to clarify - had to make this not be awkward.

"Sebastian?" She questioned, taking a step back towards him and Hailey.

Appearance

Piper was the only one who had agreed to go shopping with Jane after the morning assembly, but she readily took her up on the offer. They spent a couple of hours parading through department stores and smaller boutiques. Jane bought multiple potential dresses from every store they stopped in, but no matter how many outfits she tried on and purchased, she wasn't able to find one that really felt right. All of them were white, the color Sydney had demanded she wear, and normally, Jane wouldn't have thought too far into the color. She liked white, at least before labor day, but today she was feeling exceptionally self conscious about her body. Black would compliment her frame much better and maybe hide the ten pounds she had gained over the summer.

She had dropped Piper off before the redhead could suggest that they stop and get lunch and only minutes after returning home, had fallen back asleep. The stress of her morning, the interactions with Sydney and Sienna, and her clothing crisis, were definitely wearing on her. She wouldn't admit it, but her zero-calorie intake for the day wasn't helping easier. Months ago, it wasn't difficult for her to get through the day on a couple hundred calories. However, the program that she had been in had reintroduced her body to nutrition and now that it was used to being fed properly, it didn't want to stop. Sleeping was the only way to shut those cravings down, but when she woke up hours later to the sound of knocking on her door, the hunger pangs crept right back up on her.

"Your father wants you to eat with us tonight, Jane." Being woken up by Nicole twice in one day was doing nothing to help the hatred that Jane already had for her stepmother. She ignored the continuous knocks, glad that she had remembered to lock her door before passing out earlier. After a few similar comments, the knocking subsided but Jane couldn't go back to sleep anyway. It was eight o'clock and she had to get ready for Sydney's party. She had only managed to change out of the outfit she had put on earlier and into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt when the pestering knocks returned. The voice on the other side of the door was different this time though. It was her father's. "Jane , vous avez besoin de se asseoir et manger avec nous ce soir." He wasn't being nasty and he didn't sound upset, but just the fact that she was going to be forced to sit down and eat dinner with them pissed her off. She expected it, but part of her hoped that she would be able to come home to the careless and work-obsessed father that had raised her. "Je sais! Je me habillais. Je ai dit à Nicole je serais en bas dans une minute. Dieu, vous deux sont tellement agaçante!" She insisted that she had told Nicole that she was on her way down, which was a lie, but her father probably knew that already. Her answer was bratty, something that probably would have resulted in a fiery reaction from a normal parent, but Adrian was satisfied enough that she wasn't going to argue about eating to brush it off.

Minutes later, she appeared in the dining room, apparently looking like she had just rolled out of bed because her appearance seemed to garner a reaction in Nicole. Her eyebrow quirked and Jane was sure that she saw the woman smirk, but it might have just been her need to find something to hate about her. "Comment vous sentez-vous?" Maybe her dad noticed her pale and tired expression too, because he asked her how she was feeling as soon as she sat down. It was an impossible question to answer, or at least it would have been impossible for her to answer without bursting into tears. She was tired, her head was pounding, she was still sure that Sydney hated her even after Sienna denied it, she didn't even think that Sienna liked her anymore after she rejected a shopping trip, she was going to look disgusting in white, and now she was being forced to eat in front of her father and evil stepmother. "Fine," she mumbled. Two servers brought out their plates only moments later, which Jane was grateful for because it meant that they could take a break from small talk, but which she resented in a greater amount for more obvious reasons.

"Nicole suggested we have penne alla vodka tonight. It's your favorite, right?" He had opted to speak in English now since Nicole wasn't as fluent in French as the Lynch's were, and he wanted Nicole to know that he was making an effort to unite his daughter and wife. He was right that it was one of her favorite meals, which made her hate Nicole even more. It would have been easy to take a few bites out of something that she disliked but especially since she was hungry, it was going to be hard not to clean her plate. "It was my favorite when I was like... ten," she replied, though her eyes were more focused on her plate than anything else. She didn't notice Nicole eyeing her father, reassuring him that he was doing his best and that at least she appreciated him.

By the time the meal was over and Jane was finally excused from the table, she had eaten half of the food on her plate which was a big step for her, but she was also craving alcohol. Enough alcohol where she would black out. In addition, there was no way she was wearing white. After all of those calories, she needed every bit of help to disguise her growing frame.

To: Piper
Ur right. I'm gonna wear black tn. Syd won't care that much right??

Her closet was filled with clothes that had never been worn. She usually purged the items after each season and allowed her father to donate them to auctions, knowing she would never wear something from a past season. She was glad that she hadn't had a chance to do that before leaving for Illinois last spring, because at least now she still had some black items to work with. After a bit of searching, she paired a black hemmed mini skirt with a long-sleeved off the shoulder top, and black pointed pumps. She put on minimal makeup and straightened her hair since she was keeping it down.

It was almost 9:10 when Jane pulled up in front of Sydney's building, but she had her driver park around the block. She wasn't going in yet, especially after a text from Sydney suggested that Sienna wasn't there yet either. She couldn't go in first. Not with Sydney on her case about the summer, and especially not now that she wasn't wearing the correct color.

To: Jane, Sienna
Are either of you here yet?

To: Sebastian
Are you at Syd's?!?!

Sebastian had decided upon wearing a tight black shirt that accentuated his muscles and white jeans, or rather his sister had forced him to change into that after he stepped out of the bathroom in a white shirt and white pants. "You look like you're going to church." Adelaide had told him, which had made him chuckle and indeed, his attire didn't exactly look fit for a teenage party. So, he'd allowed Adelaide to shove him back into the bathroom to wait while she rooted around in her ex's old clothes before producing a plain black t-shirt for him to wear.

"Don't you think it's a bit - I don't know," Sebastian made a gesture with his hands, trying to convey what he wanted to say, "casual?" he finished. To which Adelaide shook her head, "No, it's perfect. It's called effortless class Seb, you don't constantly have to look like you're going to a business meeting to be fashionable y'know." Ruffling his hair to make it look a little unkempt.

"Okay, okay thank you Miss Fashion Expert," Sebastian teases, strolling out of the bathroom and into the living room where Gerard was playing with his dinosaur toys Sebastian had gotten him for Christmas. "I'd much rather just stay in with you guys Addie, I really don't care about this party." He says, turning back to face his sister but she only shook her head. "No, you act enough like a middle-aged man as it is, you go out and enjoy your youth while you still have it!" Adelaide says with a frown, grabbing Sebastian's shoulders and guiding him to the door, "We'll be absolutely fine, won't we Ger," She calls over her shoulder to her son who looks up at them, "Go, go, go Sebby!" He grins.

"Yeah Sebby go, go, go away and don't come back until at least after midnight - I mean it young man, you better party as hard as physically possible." Adelaide says, sticking out her index finger at him and doing the best impersonation of their father's lecturing face. Rolling his eyes, Sebastian walks out the door so he's standing in the hallway, "Aren't you supposed to be warning me off heavy partying? You're such a bad influence Addie!" He laughs, hugging her, "Thank you." He mutters as they embrace. Pulling away it's Adelaide's turn to roll her eyes right back at him, "Get out of here Mister!" She demands, giving him a peck on the cheek before closing the door.
After exiting his sister's apartment complex, Sebastian pulls out his phone and quickly texts Hailey as he waits for the car that would take him to Sydney's, to arrive.

To: Hailey
From: Sebastian
Are U gonna be at Sydney's? Can't believe Ur here!

Sebastian then slid the phone back into his trouser pocket as the car arrived. Opening the door and stepping in, Sebastian leaned over to where the driver was sat and told him Sydney's address. Leaning back against the cold leather headrest as they sped off towards their destination. Sebastian still wasn't sure about going. It wasn't that he didn't get along with anyone - well, Vincent wasn't exactly his biggest fan but he could easily be avoided - Sebastian just always felt guilty leaving his sister, who was only a few years older than him, at home while he ran around the Upper East Side, going to event after event. Adelaide didn't exactly seem jealous, but he know that she'd love to still be apart of that world.

Licking his bottom lip, Sebastian tries to focus on the positive more, telling himself that tonight would be amazing. He was reunited with his friends again, and besides it was an excuse to drink. Sebastian wasn't exactly one for binge drinking but now and again, he enjoyed getting a little tipsy. He did hope Jane wouldn't pick up her pre-summer excessive drinking again though, although it was unlikely she'd ever stop that. Sighing, Sebastian mentally kicked himself for focusing on the negative again, what was with him today? He was usually the most cheerful person in Manhattan.

When the car pulled up to Sydney's, Sebastian thanked the driver before jumping out. He was a little late, due to Adelaide forcing him to change his outfit, but he didn't reckon anyone would mind. Easily bypassing the queue that had formed outside of Sydney's place and making his way into the lobby. Sebastian smiled at a couple freshmen he didn't recognise who where staring at him, which was actually quite off-putting, the girls erupted into giggles when he turned away and headed towards the elevator.

As he stepped in, the freshmen followed, meaning he was stuck in an elevator with the four girls. After a couple of seconds, a girl, who Sebastian assumed was the leader of the group, due to her Sydney-eque hair and chronic bitch face, moved a little closer to him before saying, "Weren't you in one of Sienna's music videos?" She asks excitedly, her voice slightly too bubbly for Sebastian's liking. Smiling sheepishly, "Uh, yeah I was." is all he replies, but it seems to be enough for the girl who gives a soft squeal, "Oh my god! I love her, she's like, my idol." Biting his lip to keep himself from laughing, Sebastian nods slightly. These girls would have a field day if they knew what really went on between him and Sienna behind the scenes. "So, are you like, friends with Sydney?" She continues, to which Sebastian sighs, this elevator was taking way too long. "I guess. I mean, she's a mutual friend between me and Jane." He shrugs, assuming that the girl wanted him to bring her up with Sydney or something [which was definitely never going to happen]. The girl then smiles a wide smile, baring all her teeth and revealing a small pink lipstick stain on her front tooth before turning back to her friends, "Dani, would you be a babe and take a picture of us?" She asks in a sickly sweet tone before wrapping an arm around Sebastian's shoulder. "Oh, um." Sebastian manages to get out before being blinded by a bright light as the flash went off. It's all he can do to let out a small, if slightly uncomfortable smile as the picture is taken.

"Thanks sweetie," The girl beams, snatching her phone back and looking at the picture, "Perfect!" She exclaims as the elevator comes to a halt. Causing Sebastian to let a deep breath, relieved. As she walks out of the elevator, followed by the group of freshmen, she turns back to him, "Oh by the way, I'm Louise." She says and then winks, before strutting off clearly feeling some kind of triumph at having 'flirted' with a Senior.

Stepping out of the elevator next, Sebastian walks over to the bar, desperately needing a drink after whatever that was that had just happened, slipping his phone out of his pocket and clicking on instagram, only to see that same picture of him and Louise staring back at him with the caption 'OMG just met that guy from Sienna's music vid!! Total boyfriend material!!!' Rolling his eyes, Sebastian didn't have the heart to tell her nothing would ever happen, so instead he double tapped the picture before stuffing the phone back into his pocket and finding the bar. Quickly ordering a straight vodka, Sebastian looks around, spotting Sydney, Piper, Jane and Sienna all standing together a couple seats down the bar, along with Vincent. Walking over Sebastian smiles and leans against the bar,"Hey guys," He says casually, sipping his drink and avoiding eye contact with both Sienna and Vincent.

Sienna was right. They couldn't run away and avoid Sydney all night, especially since this was her house. Jane was already on the blonde's bad side and she had almost made things worse by showing up in black and being late. Trying to distance herself from Sydney would make things even worse, and she didn't want to make this problem bigger than it was. If she could just get a few drinks in her, she knew the pit of despair in her stomach would disappear. She was back in New York with all of her friends and even if Sydney was giving her a hard time earlier, Jane was going to be more confident after a few drinks. She would be able to give her summer absence excuse without even stuttering.

Even if she wanted to turn back (which she did, once they had gotten to the second floor), Sienna had linked arms with her and Piper and it would be far too dramatic to pull away. People were looking at them, which wasn't uncommon, but when she made out Brent Barclay glancing in their direction, any thought of dispersing from her friends' sides evaporated. She had genuinely forgotten that Brent had even existed all day but if there was one person who had the power to ruin all of her progress even more than she could, it was him. She inadvertently glanced towards Piper, but didn't say anything. Sienna didn't know that either of them knew Brent more than she did, and that was one more secret that Jane planned on keeping. Still, it shrunk the amount of excitement she had for the night. One more thing to worry about.

Before she could back out in the last second, they were standing in front of Sydney. Jane took in Sydney's appearance and vibes slowly, mostly because she had what seemed like minutes before the Queen Bee even acknowledged her presence. And when she did, it wasn't the best friend, warm welcoming that Jane longed for. It wasn't even a real compliment, just Sydney pointing out that Jane had worn white as requested, and how "innocent" it made her look. The choice of word was unusual and despite feeling guilty, Jane didn't think into it enough to realize that Sydney knew that she was lying, or going to lie about something. She did recognize that Sydney was being nicer to both Sienna and Piper, which was definitely unusual, especially considering the latter, but she tried to convince herself that she was being dramatic. Sydney wasn't being mean to her. Maybe the whole 'innocent' thing really was a compliment. She was still trying to interpret the comment when she realized that she had been silent for a few seconds too long, and forced out a mumbled, "Thanks."

When the shots came out, Jane barely noticed Vincent approaching. The worst seemed to be over. The drinks were here and that was a light at the end of the tunnel in itself. "Cheers!" She didn't even notice that Vincent was directing his comment at Sienna rather than the rest of the group, but she was anxious to get that alcohol in her bloodstream. She downed the shot in an easy motion, as if the liquid was water, and slammed the glass back on the counter, nodding to the bartender to refill it. When Sebastian walked over, she beamed at him. They hadn't seen each other that morning at school, despite Jane wanting to reunite with him after months apart. To make up for that, and maybe distract herself from Sydney too, she threw her arms around him. "Seb! I missed you. Come dance with me?" Going upstairs to the dance floor would allow her to distance herself from Sydney without doing it blatantly, and also be somewhere too loud for Sebastian to inquire too deeply about her summer.

Piper was a little taken aback by Jane's small outburst about her peeking under the door. Honestly Jane and Piper have changed in front of each other a plethora of times before. Maybe it was because of Jane's recent body image issues. Piper just uttered a quick sorry before letting the conversation drop. There was no point in talking about such a thing now. When Jane finally came out of the stall, Piper grinned at her. "Don't worry you look fine. Trust me I would tell you if you didn't." She was known around school to give pretty brutal advice when it came to people's appearances. Piper watched the short interaction between Sienna and her sister before Esmee left.

Soon Sienna had linked arms with Piper and Jane and lead the threesome out of the bathroom. "Yeah I guess it would look bad if we are caught by the paps running out of here right?" Piper joked, but there was a little truthfulness in what she was saying. She liked socializing, just not at Sydney's house. Well like Sienna said, there was no running now. She was stuck here. At least she gets to see all of her friends tonight. But, Piper did feel bad for Jane. Hopefully Sydney wouldn't try and bring up this summer. Piper couldn't help but smile when Sienna bumped her. "Yeah I guess you're right. We will greet the queen then go about our business." The red head teased.

As if all too soon they arrived on their floor. Piper took a deep breath before getting off of the elevator. Soon Sydney was in her line of sight, regrettably so, and Piper gave her a short smile as they approached. Sienna was the first to speak up. Now would be a great time for alcohol like Jane mentioned earlier. Piper started daydreaming somewhat when she heard Sydney compliment her. "Thank you, I also didn't notice the looks since I get them all the time. But, I should've known the great Sydney Vale would look wonderful as always. Great looking party too." Piper glanced around the room as if to put emphasis on her compliment. This was all the interaction with Sydney that she needed for the night. She said what she had to and now she just wants to have fun. But, the atmosphere got a little uncomfortable when Sydney spoke to Jane. Really did this summer piss her off that much? Piper turned her head and simply rolled her eyes before looking back at the group of girls.

Finally Sydney did something smart and order some shots. Normally Piper didn't like drinking too much because it wasn't good for skin health, but tonight would be an exception. Plus, she had plans on flirting with some of the boys from Fordham Prep. It's been a while since she has gotten any action. But, once again the awkward level increased when Vincent came over. Piper noticed the way he looked at Sydney and Sienna. Something was going on here. Maybe Sebastian would know? He acts like he isn't very fond of Vincent. When the drinks came out Piper picked hers up and downed it in one go. Sure it burned her throat a little, but oh well. She looked at the bartender and smiled handing her glass back. "Just keep them coming." As she got her second shot, Sebastian walked over as if he was a knight in shining armor.

Piper took the second shot much like the first one and sat her glass on the counter. "Hey Sebastian!" Piper greeted animatedly. She has finally found her outlet to get away from Sydney. But Jane beat her to it and took the boy away to go dance. Honestly Jane could've at least taken her along. But, Piper's second chance came along when she got a text from Brent. Sure it wasn't what she wanted to see, but nonetheless she was saved. But, really? Did he just bring up Jane and pills in the same message? "I would love to hang out with you guys all night, but I have some flirting to do." Of course she wouldn't say she was going to go look for Brent. Also technically she wasn't lying she was going to also look for the boys from that prep school. She smiled at Sienna apologetically knowing it wasn't right to leave her like this. But she wasn't one to be pushed around so she should be fine.

Piper put her phone back in her bag before grabbing her third shot and disappearing. She didn't even know that Brent would show up here. Piper looked high and low and finally found her friend flirting with Charlotte. 'Poor girl' Piper smiled to herself. She continued to approach the duo figuring she was doing Charlotte a favor. "Is he bothering you Charlotte?" Piper teased as she walked up behind Brent and punched him on his shoulder. Well Piper had to admit one of her goals was to get Connor and Charlotte together, so she didn't want Brent to try and seduce her with his...'charm'. "I will relieve you of him for a few minutes." Piper grabbed Brent by his arm and found a good secluded corner for her to speak to him in private.

"It's the first party of the year and you're already sending me stuff about Jane? At least tonight try to avoid her? I just want to find guys and flirt not deal with drama." She knew Brent, or more so hoped, that he wouldn't try anything tonight. He could be a little unpredictable though. But to be a good friend, she wasn't going to hound him about it.

While it had been great while it had lasted, Sienna's tolerance became just a bit tested as time with on. At first, it had been the near taunting and near cruel examination of Jane through Sydney's nearly scathing eyes. The comment about the dress making Jane look "innocent," as if Jane wasn't to a certain degree, had Sienna shooting her a warning look, ready to jump to her friend's defense if Sydney decided to delve deeper into this. Again, they did need to speak with Jane. It was urgent. They needed to let her know that they were there for her, but they could only do so much if she couldn't open up to them. That much she had thought they agreed on earlier in the summer in terms on confronting their friend. This need to be unnecessarily mean and near condescending was uncalled for and Sienna was not having it. Especially not on the first party of the night.

The second minor incident, which really solidified Sienna's ire, was when Vincent appeared. She had been ecstatic when Sydney called for shots and had grinned. "Finally!" She exclaimed and would have camped herself against the bar had Vincent not slid himself over. For a second, Sienna had forgotten herself. Forgotten that they technically weren't close anymore and that therefore, she should not be filled with as much elation as she was. That but really, she wasn't supposed to be allowing her eyes to rove over him, appreciating the way his clothes hugged the right parts of his athletic form and how...well, how truly male he was. Her eyes should not have flashed with that brief show of hunger, her entire body should not have felt like it was suddenly vibrating, and her smile damn sure should not have been as warm as it was. Yet and still, for just a few moments, she was not Sienna who found this same heartbreakingly attractive guy a cheater and someone to not be trusted. She was thirteen year old Sienna who had stars in her eyes every time he simply said her name.

However, it was only a second after he complimented the group that her countenance shifted. Just as she had been admiring him, she caught the tail-end of him doing the same to her - which should not have brought a flush of pleasure to her skin - before turning that same gaze to Sydney. That bitch, came the unhindered thought and Sienna's smile dimmed just a bit, her eyes narrowing just a bit. She probably wasn't as quick with her recovery as she wanted to be - as Sydney would have been and damn her brain for even making that comparison - but she snatched her gaze away from them to take the others in. She had not even noticed Sebastian coming over to actually feel a thing in his presence, Jane had distracted herself with his presence, and Piper seemed to be staring at Sienna and the two disgusting lovebirds, but she couldn't be sure. She simply masked her face with a particularly bright smile, though it lacked the typical sweetness her smiles could be known for. Instead, her eyes cut to Sydney as Vincent offered her a shot, a brief glare that could have easily been mistaken for a simple glance or not directed towards the queen bee - before landing on Vincent. "Cheers." The alcohol was only a slight bite to her throat, but the barely discernible pain in her throat wasn't the only casualty of the night.

She had been so fucking stupid! So utterly foolish to believe...she didn't even know what she had believed would happen when she saw Vincent. Did she expect them to chat like old times? Laugh about some private joke? Dance? Hook up? She honestly did not know what she expected and the sudden flare of jealousy heating her was extremely unwanted. However, as with all emotions, it came - unbridled and unchecked. Vincent wasn't hers, had not been for a while, and she had no claim over him. But that didn't stop the small part of her that wanted to exert some kind of possession over him - in front of Sydney - to make its voice be known. However, she also wanted to dance and the two people she could have escaped with apparently just bailed on her. No point in staying where I'm obviously not wanted, she thought dramatically before settling with a pleasant smile, directed at Sydney. "Well," there was a brief pause there, "This has been fun...and cozy," she said, eyeing the space between the asshole who cheated on her and the bitch he cheated with (and she really had wanted to finish the day off liking Sydney). "But there's a dance floor calling my name and...so...I'll leave you to it." As mean as it was, she let the last words come out with awkward pauses, doing so purposefully to leave the air between them tense and unnatural. It was the only payback she could offer since she had promised to not let Sydney know she knew about them.

Not saying another word, Sienna turned on her heels and walked back in the direction of the elevators, not even stopping to see Charlotte or even smile at the sophomores who liked her. She did not look at anyone or anything until she was on the elevator again and the doors were closing, leaving her with the last image of seeing Sydney and Vincent standing too damn closely, causing her throat to constrict with emotions she shouldn't have anymore. Shutting her eyes briefly and then opening them, Sienna let a breath she had not been aware she had been holding before tugging her phone from her bag. Instantly, she rolled her eyes at Vincent's text. She pursed her lips before offering him another message.

To: Vincent
Id tell u 2 come & find me, but I don't wanna piss of ur bae

Once the elevator doors opened, she blended in with the crowd of dancers, falling in line somewhere in the middle of the writhing bodies. The heavy bass of the song playing made something within her shake and instead of focusing on the emotions that had stirred, she focused on the way it made her body feel. She didn't want to do emotions tonight. Not anymore.

There was no denying that Sydney's interactions with Jane were more cold than necessary. She knew, maybe better than anyone else, that it was almost impossible for Jane to do anything with truly evil intentions. She hadn't spited Sydney in the way that Sydney was portraying she had. Jane must have been so absorbed in her own illness that she was too scared to open up to anyone, even her best friend, about it. Sydney was not the victim here, and she had no right to act so insulted that Jane had needed to take time away from their hectic lives to get healthy. Even though she knew this, she did think that it was valid for her to be hurt and at least a little offended.

Jane was supposed to be her best friend. When Sienna would cross a line (usually with good reason, in her defense), or when Piper would try to act like she ran the school, Jane was the one that she could vent to. She was the friend who was always on her side and validated Sydney's cold actions. Jane's sweetness balanced out Sydney's sometimes ruthless behaviors, but even besides Jane being a necessity to her, she was also one of her favorite people. She was the same girl who would restlessly sit with her during the entire performance of "The Nutcracker" every winter. The same girl who had paraded her around France during Sydney's first visit there when they were in the fourth grade. The same girl who she had sobbed to a few nights after she slept with Vincent, claiming that she had lost her virginity to the wrong guy (and the only girl clueless enough to not put the pieces together that that guy was Vincent). Sydney thought Jane was her best friend and was so used to the heiress always being the completely open one that she had been caught completely off guard when Sienna called her that summer day.

While Sydney's anger towards Jane had been brewing all summer, when she was away, Sydney was able to dramatically imagine her friend's frail body hooked up to machines or being forced to sit in a mental hospital filled with insane people. She was genuinely scared and sad for Jane and had every intention of fulfilling her agreement with Sienna that they were going to be diplomatic about the situation and put Jane's health and happiness first. But then the Instagrams were posted. Jane didn't look sick or sad, and she sure as hell didn't return with the emotional apology and truthful explanation that Sydney had envisioned. Instead, she decided to be sneaky about it, and that was what was driving Sydney crazy. She couldn't stand to think that Jane didn't trust her as much as she thought she did, or that Jane was underestimating her ability to find out the truth. True or not, Sydney was convinced that even if Sienna hadn't told her about Jane's rehab stint, she would have found out almost just as soon.

Her pride was strong enough to keep her cold towards Jane, and she barely flinched when she ran off with Sebastian before Sydney even had a chance to acknowledge him. Whether she would have said hello to him or not was debatable anyway. For all she knew, he was close enough to Jane to have known about her being sick the whole time and just hadn't mentioned it anyway. even Sydney recognized that it was bizarre, but when Piper followed suit and ran off too, Sydney almost wished that the two models and Jane would have stuck around. Their company would have been a million times less uncomfortable of that than Sienna and Vincent together. Again, her pride was getting the best of her and instead of excusing herself, she remained firmly where she stood, only leaning to her side to pick up the shot she had waited to drink. Sydney refused to let the awkward tension in the trio make her feel out of place. This was her house! And if we're working on a timeline, Vincent is more my man than he is her's anyway. A smile that bordered a smirk set in on her face as she studied Sienna's expression, before the other blonde shifted on her feet and excused herself. Sydney had been so glad that she had left that she didn't really consider what she had said until she was out of sight.

Instantly, she turned to Vincent with a scowl. "What the hell was that supposed to mean?"

"What was what supposed to mean?" Of course he knew what she was talking about, and he was just as caught off guard by Sienna's underhanded comment as Sydney was, but he needed to downplay it. If he acted nonchalantly, he hoped it would calm Sydney down.

"'Fun and... cozy' and 'so...I'll leave you to it'," she hissed. Jane hadn't exited that way. Piper hadn't exited that way. Neither of them would have a reason to even hint that there was anything going on between her and Vincent. She had believed that Sienna had no reason to suggest such a thing either, since Vincent had sworn to keep that first night, and the following ones, between them a secret. But why would she say such a thing, when Sydney had thought she had done well at playing nice with her today, if she thought they were just as platonic of friends as Vincent was with Jane or Piper?

"Oh, come on, you know how Sia can be. She just doesn't want to see me talking to any hot girls besides her," he smirked.

It wasn't enough to ease Sydney's tense expression, but it did allow her to consider that maybe Sienna was still in the dark about her and Vincent, but just jealous. That made enough sense and seemed to be plausible. Every guy at Saint Jude's wanted her. It had to be obvious to everyone that Vincent was in to her, she supposed. "Go find her and make sure that's all it is."

He already had every intention of finding Sienna, but Sydney telling him to gave him a legitimate reason to desert her at the bar and head towards the elevator. She already said she was going to the dance floor and without even stopping to acknowledge a few guys from the lacrosse team who had called out to him from the other side of the room, he was headed there. He boarded the elevator with a couple of junior guys who must have been from a different private school because Vincent didn't recognize them. He guessed that they were younger too, since they were probably only three beers in and were acting like buffoons. They were lucky that he only heard them commenting on how sexy Rose and Charlotte looked, because if they had said a thing about Sienna, he was in the mood where he probably would have knocked them out.

The elevator stopped at the third level when his phone pinged with a text from Sienna. It distracted him enough for him to miss his stop at the third floor and not notice as the doors closed and the box shifted up to the fifth floor of the home. Sienna was upset with him and while Sydney thought that he was just chasing after her to make sure that she wasn't suspicious of him and her, he really wanted to talk to her. They had been civil all morning and he didn't want that to stop. Well, he did want that to stop if it meant that they could actually move past that and get closer again, but he didn't want to leave that behind for hostility.

To: Sienna
Since when have you cared about pissing Sydney off?

As the elevator doors opened on the fifth floor, he absentmindedly jammed his hand against the 'close door' button. He was anxiously waiting for Sienna to respond, hoping that she'd chime in with some playful remark, when someone stepped inside the elevator. It was Sydney's mom.

"Vincent! It's so nice to see you!" He wasn't expecting to see anyone, so he jumped at the sound of her shrill voice. It caused him to slip his phone into his pocket and return to reality, and though he felt weird even thinking it, it was a pleasant reality. Sydney's mom was a MILF, there was no doubt about that to any guy that had ever laid eyes on her and tonight, she was looking especially hot.

"Mrs. Vale, it's nice to see you too. Are you going... up?" He reached his hand out to press the sixth floor button but she shook her head. She was dressed to go out, he should have realized that.

"First floor, love. You know me, I'm not going to hover over you kids while you're having fun," she laughed.

She was right, he did know that. Anyone close to Sydney knew that her mom was more of a sister than a mother to her, and while Vincent's mom wasn't dictatorial either, Alice Vale took being a friend over a parent to a whole new level. She had been home for less than an hour after spending a week in Vegas, hadn't told Sydney that she was home or even when she was going to be home, and was now on her way out to a club opening in midtown. Her home was full of underage drinkers and what she was most concerned about was whether her diamond earrings clashed with her gold bracelet.

Vincent was glad that their elevator was fast because he only had to spend a minute or so in the elevator with the wildly attractive older woman before the doors opened. "Well, this is my stop," he said awkwardly, as he shifted forward. "Have a nice night." She seemed much more comfortable than he and only looked up from her compact mirror to smile at him. "Whatever you do, don't tell Sydney I'm wearing her new Prada dress!" The door closed behind him before he could reassure her that he definitely would not, and he was more than relieved to be surrounded by hot girls of his own age. He couldn't focus on them though, even if he did get a fair amount of flirtatious waves and "accidental" bumps as he walked through the dancing crowd. It was dark enough that Sienna wasn't immediately recognizable in the crowd but it didn't take too long for him to find her.

"I think you were the only one who thought that little incident was 'cozy'," he said, raising his voice to be heard over the blasting music. There was no way they would be able to talk on the dance floor and Vincent wasn't feeling drunk enough to dance. "Will you come hang with me downstairs now, or do I have to wait until you tire yourself out from dancing?" he asked lightly. He hoped that she would opt for the former, however, since he knew that she could spend an entire party dancing. "Let's at least get drinks." Even if she wasn't feeling his vibes enough to stop dancing, maybe a drink would be a more enticing offer to lure her away from the loud music and public scene.

Hailey looked at Charlotte and the others as they made their way inside for the assembly. It wasn't long before someone shouted her name out as she turned around and seen Sebastian pulling her into him for a hug. She smiled as they embraced briefly then smiled while looking at him. "Nice to see you again, Sebastian." She was excited to see him again and he still looks the same. Her eyes went to Sienna's as she looked at herself and Sebastian. She stepped away after taking a small sip of her coffee and sitting down in a seat nearby. The assembly wasn't exactly like she had thought - It was actually interesting and not boring at all. She heard muttered rumors about a party at Sydney's tonight but after their first meeting, she had already decided in her mind that she was not going to go.

After seeing and hearing Sienna and Esmee leave for the party, she was up in her room, getting her laptop ready for Netflix. She wanted to go to the party but didn't want to cause any unnecessary drama on her first night out. She groaned slightly while hearing her phone chime. It was a text from Sienna, asking her if she was coming to the party. Hailey grasped her phone while biting onto her bottom lip, not even responding but instead she sat her phone down beside her on the bed. Her favorite show Once Upon A Time was starting up on Netflix, just as her phone chimed again. This time, it was Sebastian, asking her if she was going to Sydney's for the party. Again, she bit her lip but this time thinking as she paused her show then jumped off of her bed.

Hailey went over to her closet and rummaged through the enormous amount of hangers then found something amazing to wear. A small smirk came over her lips as she went into her bathroom and showered then got out and wrapped a towel around herself and her hair. She then applied a small amount of makeup on her face then emerged from the bathroom. Her eyes were fixed on the dress that laid across her bed and the heels that sat on the floor before her.

She honestly hoped that Sienna wasn't going to be mad for not answering her text but given their friendship, she was going to get over it. Hailey sat down at her vanity area and applied clear nail polish to her nails then waited for them to dry. She then applied the same to her feet. She didn't bother with whole getting a pedicure or manicure thing since its only been two days since she had that done and it still looked good as new. After that was done and dried, she applied a second coat of makeup to her face then got dress. She reviewed over herself in the mirror then unwrapped the towel from over her hair, letting the now curly hair bounce well above her shoulders. After looking over herself in the mirror again, she grabbed her black clutch purse then proceeded to walk out of her room and towards the elevator.

After spending a lot of time at Sienna's, she knew her way around the Alvarez's place. When the elevator doors opened, she stepped on it and hit the button for the lobby. Seeing the doors close, a smirk appeared among her lips, once again. She walked out of the elevator when it reached the lobby area and stepped off. Everyone's eyes fell on her immediately as she had got a few cat calls. She walked outside and the doorman looked at her with a smile and tipped his hat towards her. "Do you know where the address of Sienna's and Esmee's whereabouts are?" She asked as he handed her a small slip of paper. "Sienna told me to hold on to it in case you change your mind." Hailey took the slip of paper and opened it.

She saw a driver coming up and got inside of the limo, handing the driver the slip of paper and the driver nodded his head and took her there. Honestly, she was not nervous at all. She was actually ready to party with her fellow peers. After a few minutes of driving, the driver stopped in front of a six story house and Hailey's eyes gleamed with excitement. She thanked the driver then got out she waved him off. Hailey went up the door after getting snapped enormous amount of pictures by the paparazzi. She stood there in a pose and smiled then went up, where she was let in.

She asked a few of the girls where the party was and they told her. She thanked them with a smile and walked over to the elevator, hitting the appropriate button and waited for the elevator to take her to her designated destination. After the elevator and the doors rolled opened, Hailey stood there for a moment, with a pose then proceeded to walk off the elevator. Her ears twitched at the mutters as she was enjoying the attention she was getting. She wondered how long would it be before someone she knew or someone that didn't like her, spotted her as she maneuvered her way through the sea of people. She walked over towards the bar and leaned against the counter, ordering herself a Cosmo and taking a small sip from it when it was placed before her.

Amid dancing with Sebastian and downing drinks every time a cocktail waitress passed, Jane managed to lose track of time. She wasn't sure if it had been twenty minutes, an hour, or maybe even three since she had last seen Piper, Sydney and Sienna, but she wasn't very concerned either. As soon as the alcohol hit her system, her mood jumped substantially and her energy was back. It helped that she was around Sebastian, a friend who she never seemed to have drama with, and maybe more so that she wasn't near Sydney. No matter how many drinks she consumed, she couldn't forget how obviously upset Sydney was with her. Jane knew that even if she got away with avoiding the blonde for tonight, she couldn't avoid her and her questions forever. She didn't want to, either. While she had no desire to have to lie to her friends, she also didn't want this uncomfortable evading relationship to continue either. Jane could do petty drama. She could make petty remarks about how she was sure Lottie could scoff at Isabella in the hallway and remind her friends not to get too close unless they wanted to get her "disgusting lesbian germs". She could even agree with Sydney or Sienna when one ranted about the other. What she couldn't do, was the cold and calculated drama that Sydney Vale had mastered in her youth, and that was just what she was dealing with today.

At some point during one of the more upbeat songs, Jane had separated from Sebastian to dance with a Saint Jude's junior who was looking pretty cute until he started kissing her neck. She wasn't in the mood for a quick hookup like that, and especially not from someone whose name she didn't know. If Jane couldn't remember your name, it meant that you were either some scholarship student, which was an instant turnoff, or you were an underclassman. She was sure that this boy fell under both categories, and as soon as she realized that, there was no point in dancing with him any longer. He was so not her type.

She had a server to bring her clutch down to the bar at some point during her dancing, but when she showed up there, she was surprised when it was handed to her by one of the more familiar bartenders. She didn't even remember leaving it with them, and had only come to the bar for another drink. It was a pleasant surprise, though, and as she waited for a shot of vodka, she found her phone in the bag. Sydney had texted her, asking her where she was and Sienna had texted her to say she was leaving. There was no point in ignoring Sydney's text, especially if she was tired of dancing by now and both Sienna and Piper seemed to be gone.

To: Sienna
WTFF I didmt even get to see u woooow

To: Sydney
2nd fkloor!!!

To: Piper
where are yu?!!

Jane was drunk enough to not even notice that the shot the bartender slid her with a wary expression was almost completely watered down. Three months away, and Sydney still knew that Jane couldn't control her alcohol consumption on her own. She was so used to the vodka burn by now, that the actual alcohol would have tasted just the same, so she tilted her head back and savored the cool liquid without noticing. As she perched herself on a bar stool, she noticed a blonde standing a few feet away with a drink in hand. What's her name again? There was no way that Jane, in this state, was going to remember. She knew that she had seen the girl this morning, and was drunk enough to block out their encounter at the airport ever existing, but she couldn't remember her name for the life of her. It would have been smarter to just avoid it, since Hailey knew more about her than she wanted her to, but Jane was drunk and too amicable for her own good. She waved towards the blonde until she caught her attention, and motioned to her to come over. "You look sooo familiar! Where do I know you from?" She exclaimed, doing her best to prevent the words from slurring together.

Sienna's heart had been thudding loudly in her ears ever since she and Vincent had been nearly about to kiss. The interruption, though unwanted, left her with heated cheeks and the thunderous sound of her heart trying to beat its way out of her chest. She had a feeling where the night could have gone - they could have very well just went back to her place or his, and she would have let it happen. Would have surrendered despite the warning bells going off in her head and the fact that she would have to answer to her friends the next day about why she was running late to school or where she had been. She would have taken the risk and not given a damn about what anyone else had said. However, they had been interrupted from doing anything too scandalous in Sydney's elevator and her skin was so heated that the drop in temperature outside had her gasping in surprise. Despite her own nervousness and the voice in her head going a mile a minute in her head, she couldn't help but press herself closer to Vincent on their journey to the diner, hand still clasping his.

When they got to the diner and placed their order, the anxiety that their encounter with Sydney had left him with disappeared. He was sitting across from the most beautiful girl in the world and there was nothing that he could complain about. The diner wasn't the nicest restaurant he could have taken her to, and certainly not the most romantic, but they didn't need that. His relationship with her was far past the stage of trying to impress one another. Even though Vincent knew that chivalry was going to be necessary if he ever got the chance to win her back, he wasn't trying to be anyone but himself tonight, and that was easy with Sienna.

Once there, they fell into a sort of easy chatter, easy only in the sense that after placing their orders a veil had been lifted. It was still different, considering the time apart from one another, but Sienna could only smile across the table from him, a genuine and wide one. "I like this," she admitted, fiddling with her hands before her. "I miss this. Just us...hanging out." Although he had originally only suggested the diner for milkshakes, his appetite had gotten the best of him and he ordered a burger and fries as well. The fries had come out first, and he tossed a few into his mouth as she claimed that she missed the two of them hanging out like this. It brought a smile to his face quicker than he would have liked, but he was relaxed enough to not care about seeming to eager. He missed this too, being able to hang out - even in a non-romantic way. Things with them would never be the same as it was before they dated or while they dated, but tonight was coming close to it. If he couldn't have her as a girlfriend, he wanted to at least be friends with her and be able to do things like this.

Sienna could only grin stupidly at the relaxed expression on Vincent's face. More than anything - more than the late night game sessions, them making out, or even those times where they could just cuddle up to some action film - she missed that. The smile on his face, the easygoing nature she had grown up with. She did not get to see it often when they were on either St. Jude's campus or Constance's. Hell, even when he was with friends sometimes and she would see him from afar, this peacefulness in his countenance wasn't always present and she couldn't help the rush of elation that flood through her. She sipped at her strawberry-banana milkshake, immediately recalling why it was her favorite.

"Yeah, I miss it too," he replied honestly, though the smile on his face quickly transformed into a smirk at her next remark. The admittance had her cheeks feeling hotter than ever and in an attempt to not blabber anything else out, she decided to add playfully, "Though I bet I can still kick your ass in Killzone." The game she was referencing was an old shooting game Sienna played with her brothers and Vincent, the two of them always winding up on opposing teams. She still played, though those times with him and her two favorite guys were definitely some of her favorite memories. "Yeah, right. Me and Ricardo were a powerhouse back then, and while you were wasting your time on tour, I was breaking out that old Play Station," he laughed. If he wasn't so happy to just be there, with her, recollecting like that on all of their good times would have stung. Now, he was hopeful that maybe they wouldn't have to miss those times anymore. Maybe they could start doing this again. "I'll challenge you tonight, if you really want me to prove it to you," he said, only breaking his stare towards her when the waiter approached with their food.

Chuckling at the shared memory, she reached over and stole a fry while retorting, "Oh yeah, how could I forget the 'powerhouse duo?'" She even used her fingers to gesture the over-exaggeration of the phrase, popping the fry into her mouth soon after. "Let's be real, you and I both know Ricky carried most of the weight back then and for the record..." She leaned a bit closer as if it were a secret. "I am always down for a game, even when I was on tour."

Before either could say another word, the waiter came back again, this time with Vince's burger. Sienna wasn't hungry, but she was more than willing to steal more fries from Vincent. She was just compulsive like that. "Anything else?" The redhead male asked and Sienna gave Vincent a look before cheesing to the waiter. "Actually, could we bag all of this up?" She turned back to Vincent with a competitive smirk. "Apparently, I need to teach some people a lesson." Her smirk only formed into a grin when Vincent replied, "Yeah, you're going to need to teach yourself a lesson on why you should never challenge a professional."

Rolling her eyes to Vincent's challenge, Sienna prepared herself to leave with him, checking her phone to see that Esmee was on her way home and inquiring where Sienna was. Jane was obviously drunk as fuck and Sydney messaged her, but Sia was having too much fun and actually enjoying herself to allow the queen bee to ruin her night. Opting to ignore Sydney, Sienna turned her phone on silent as they headed out. Hailing a cab wasn't that much of a hassle and before she knew it, they were in front of Vincent's building. And that was when Sienna's heartbeat picked up once more. Vincent brought girls back to his apartment very frequently, but he never felt out of his element. His apartment was his bachelor pad and even if he was bringing back some beautiful model that he had met at a night club, his heart never pushed against his rib cage like it was doing now. Vincent was good at one night stands and talking a girl into sleeping with him. When morning came, they would go on their separate ways and the most he had to worry about was the pesky texts he would get over the next couple of days from her, asking when he would treat her to the dinner he had promised. It wasn't like that at all with Sienna. It was so much more complicated and Vincent knew that if he went through with what his body was telling him to do, he might end up regretting it come morning.

She had been here a few times before, once when his parents had bought it for him and threw a housewarming party. Cynthia had made it clear that Sienna couldn't avoid the event and while she sulked, she couldn't help but smile at Colette's emotional self practically sobbing over her baby boy "growing up." It made her squeeze Vincent's hand lightly, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. The other times she had been here...not all of those had been innocent. Those were the surprising nights when Vincent would text her at some party or bar, and Sienna would tell herself she didn't care - that she couldn't ignore him. But she didn't...she never could. The last time she had been here alone with him...the memories of slick skin sliding against slick skin, warm breath mingling, hands gripping at hair and soft moans in the quiet air of the night - they all rushed back to her and Sienna gulped quietly when they stepped onto the elevator.

Just video games, she reminded herself mentally. We're just gonna hang out and play video games. It'll be fun. Her attempts at trying to convince herself these things were not truly successful as her nerves were still dancing on end by the time they made it up to his place. Once the door was opened, however, and Sienna was inside first, she looked back at Vincent in silence. Screw the games, was the only thought in her head before she rushed at Vincent, lips pressing urgently against his and hands coming up to grip at his hair. They could pretend to just hang out some other time.

As he shut the door behind them, he decided that he would try to get through video games without pressing his lips to hers. He had fought the urge to grab her hand at the diner, or slip his under the table to squeeze her knee, and he could do it again, he hoped. He was going to comment on how both of them had had to pretend this night never happened if their moms asked, since at least his would be enthusiastic enough to hope that something more than just video games had happened. But, the playful remark would have to wait, because she beat him to the chase that he had been putting off all night. He was caught off guard at the sudden advance, but recovered quickly, pushing her back against the wall and returning the kiss in a move that suggested he had been waiting for this moment all night. His hands found their way to her waist and even though he was more than excited to just be making out with her, both of them knew it wasn't going to end there.

By the time they ended up in his bed, he was feeling comfortable enough to peel her eyes away from her body for a moment to remark, "And for the record, you forfeited the video game challenge, so that's an automatic win for me." That win was much less important to how lucky he was feeling already, but he couldn't resist reminding her of it. The laugh burst forth through her lips, low and coming from deep within, eyes shining with want and amusement. "Just shut up and kiss me, asshole," she replied and pulled him back down to her, willing the night to take its time in bringing forth the harsh rays of the morning and reality.

Friday, September 5, 2014// 3:00 pm

As soon as the last bell of the day rang, Sienna was more than grateful to be getting out of Constance. While the year had only truly begun today, all of her teachers decided that it was imperative to stress their students out immediately. So, Mrs. Ellsworth assigned them six different readings, and Mr. Darcy assigned them an online assignment due by Monday at midnight. Not to mention the fact that she had spent the majority of the day sending out invites to Hailey's Saturday birthday party, confirming her own photo shoot, and trying to even decide what she was going to wear. It seemed that the weekend was going to be spent with her getting little sleep, though she couldn't complain. The reminder of her evening activities, in the form of a few hickeys she had to cover up in a hurry, had her grinning to herself secretly all day, despite Sydney's mood.

Once the morning had come, Sienna had hurried home from Vincent's place, purposefully snatching up one of his jerseys as a source of warmth despite the jumper from last night. It had been a reluctant wake-up, what with her trying to press herself closer to Vincent and wanting to ignore her phone. However, Esmee had been persistent. Luckily for her, one of their drivers was waiting outside and rushed her home. The shower had been a brief affair and with barely any time to decide what to do with her hair, Sienna twisted the long locks into a classy French braid, draping the end over her shoulder. Her uniform was definitely her most casual look and a very light makeup for her more tired days was what she fixed herself up with before heading off to school with Hailey and Esmee. Again, walking was not an option as she didn't want them or herself to be late, especially not on the first day. And what a day it had been!

Now that it was over, she was ready to get her weekend started and the first step to that was getting with her favorite girls. She found Esmee easily and the sisters walked down the bustling hallway, Sienna texting her friends. All of the students were buzzing about an actual black light party and their plans for the weekend, their chattering a nice background as Sienna sent her last text, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

To: Jane
Srry about disappearing last night. Let me make it up to you with yoga & shopping?

There was little time for Hailey to respond to Jane's inquiry before Brent interrupted them. Normally, his presence would have sent shivers down her spine, but she was far too gone to be freaked out by his presence. In fact, she felt like her head was spinning to a point where she could barely focus on him, despite being less than a foot away. She was very lucky that Sydney interrupted the three of them before she could accept the pills from Brent, or even acknowledge him. Really, she was even more lucky that Hailey had been standing close by too, because without inquiring further, Sydney decided that the pills belonged to Hailey and berated her for them. Jane knew that the pills were for her, once she realized that it was a bag of Ritalin, but what was she supposed to do? Tell Sydney that no, the drugs that Brent Barclay was giving out were meant for her, and not a girl that Sydney already hated? It would just cause more drama, and there was no way that in this state, Jane could come up with a lie to cover for knowing Brent well, let alone buying drugs from him. Hailey could take the fall on this one, she decided.

As Sydney whisked her away, Jane stumbled over herself and nearly took down a cocktail waitress in the process. So, when the blonde ordered someone to take her up to her bedroom, Jane couldn't do more than attempt to mumble some sort of protest, before giving in. She spent the night in Sydney's bed and only woke up the next morning because Sydney forced her to. The first day of real classes were always a poor experience for Jane, who could never focus on what teacher's were saying and could never get the whole "good first impression" thing down. On the positive side, she did have a couple of her harder classes with Lottie, which meant that maybe, if the blonde was less of a priss this year, she could cheat off of her exams. Plus, Sydney seemed too occupied with how successful people claimed her party to be, Piper and Sienna running off early, and the whole Hailey thing, to bring up Jane's summer again. That alone was enough to make her push past her horrible hangover and get through the day with only a few tears when she was forced out of bed so early.

Jane's last class of the day was French, and was the only one that she actually felt comfortable in. Being fluent in the language would suggest that she would ace the class every year, but that never ended up being the case for Jane. "Homework and class participation are a large part of your grade," the teacher advised the class, as Jane's attention was focused on how many likes her latest Instragram post. It had been posted at four o'clock that morning and she had no recollection of doing it, but her collar bones looked good so she decided to keep it up.

When the final bell rang, she was one of the first out of the classroom. The weather was still warm enough for her to come and go from the school without a jacket, so she didn't need to stop at her locker, and headed straight for the front door of the school. The hallways were crowded with other students who seemed just as eager as her to get out of school and on to their weekend, but Jane couldn't find any of her friends in the masses. Although she had a couple of classes with the girls throughout the day, they had little time to talk about the night before. Jane had skipped out on lunch, claiming that she needed to sort something out with her guidance counselor, and in every mutual class she had with a friend, the teacher lectured them enough where there wasn't a break to chat. When Sienna texted her, Jane momentarily stopped her trek down the hallway to respond, and send a couple of her own.

To: Sienna
Yes!!!!!! I'll tell Isaac to set us up for a session at 4. Tell Esmee thanks again <3 love love love her

The last thing that Jane remembered from the previous night was dancing with Sebastian, so wasn't upset at Sienna for leaving her. She wouldn't have even known that Sienna had left early, had she not reread their texts from last night, and heard about it from Sydney all morning. Regardless, she would claim that Sienna "owed her" if it meant that they could have a fun and relaxing afternoon of yoga and shopping. She sent a quick text to her personal instructor at Pure Yoga East, before continuing with her messages.

To: Sydney
PY East and shopping with Sia?!?!

To: Sebastian
Last night was fun!!

To: Charlotte
What's the English assignment? I forgot to write down what she was saying.

The light streaming in from the open doors reminded Jane of another reason why she hated school. It was beautiful out, and she had missed a perfectly good day of tanning and relaxing to be walled up in a school. Coming from having wasted her summer in the middle of nowhere, days like this taunted her with that reminder. She had considered flying out to LA tonight to visit her mother and enjoy the warmer weather that California could offer her, but she had agreed to go to Hailey's party this morning, completely unaware of their interaction the night before. Next weekend they had Piper's party, which Jane wasn't going to miss, so she was banking on jetting somewhere warm the following weekend. Until then, she just had to hope she could survive the drama that was sure to ensue of the next few nights. In a perfect world, Sydney would agree to come out with them, Sienna would apologize for leaving the party early, Piper and Sydney wouldn't be at each other's throats, no one would suggest stopping for dinner, and they could be the best friends that people thought them to be.

Jane was able to find Sienna and Esmee outside the school within a few minutes and instantly gravitated towards them. "Thank God that's over," she sighed dramatically. "My head is already killing me, and it's only been one day." The headache was probably also related to her last meal being a few crackers forced down her throat by the housekeeper who had been tending to her upon Sydney's request last night, but stress seemed like a likely factor too. It wasn't a secret that Jane was not a school person. "Yoga will fix it, though. I need to stop home and change before we go, so, who's coming?"

Piper didn't sleep too well last night. She was so worried that her brother could have a broken bone somewhere. On top of that she had to figure out a way to pay for his medical visit. The redhead stared up at her ceiling thinking about everything that was coming up this semester. "Fuck!" Piper shot up as she suddenly membered. It was her turn to host her 'cliques' annual party. How could she forget? Piper clamored out of bed, falling in the process, and looked at her calendar. "This has got to be a joke right?" Ignoring her body aches and pain coupled with the headache she had from how much she drunk last night, Piper couldn't believe she only had till next week. "How am I going to get that type of money?" Just as she made it to her feet, she heard a knock on the door and her brother walk in.

"Are you taking me to the doctor? If so you know you don't have to. I'm fine. It's the first week of classes, you should leave a good impression." Thomas spoke with a quizzical look at his sister's disheveled appearance. "Nonsense. I'll use what I have left from my modeling jobs to pay for your visit don't worry about it. Just give me a sec to get ready." Piper forced her brother out of her room and practically slammed the door in his face. Especially after Sydney's elaborate party there was no way Piper could've pulled something off like that. She needed money and she needed it fast. Piper got herself together and was headed out the door when she ran into Amy.

"Thomas go on ahead I need to talk to Amy." Thomas listened to his sister, knowing that whatever she was going to say wasn't going to be too lovely. "Have you gone mad? Why would you send him out so late at night?" Piper crossed her arms over her chest as she waited for the older woman to reply. "I-I'm so sorry I didn't think it through. I didn't mean for that to happen Piper." Amy wasn't really that bad of a foster mother, and Piper knew she didn't mean any harm in sending Thomas out, but the model wasn't the most level headed when it came to Amy. "Forget it I'm not the one who needs an apology." Piper slammed the door to the apartment as if to prove her point.

After practically draining her account to pay for her brother's x-ray, which turns out his wrist is broken, Piper missed her first day of school. After getting her brother back home, her phone buzzed. It was from Sienna. The last thing Piper felt like doing was hanging around Jane and Sienna to go shopping. Though yoga did sound nice, Piper needed to figure out what to do with her party.

To Sienna:
Sorry, I can't meet today. I have to look after my brother today, but I can do the gig tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know ^^

To Sebastian:
Hey I am doing a job tomorrow for Young&Reckless are you going to be there?

Really Piper was thankful for the modeling gig Sienna sent her way. Hopefully this money can help her throw a semi-decent party. Maybe Dustin will have some good ideas? He was a jokester but he had his moments.

To Dustin:
Hey! So I have to throw a party next weekend, do you have any good ideas? Please I need some advice!

Just as she hit send, she got a text from Brent. Piper couldn't help but scoff as she read what was on her screen. Is he serious? More than likely Sydney confiscated whatever drugs he was selling last night. How the hell was she going to get her hands on that? Did he think Sydney and Piper were besties and she could just walk up to her and ask? "Does he even listen to me when I talk?" Piper mumbled as she decided to text him back.

To Brent:
Does it look like I can just walk up to Sydney and ask for your drugs back? How do you propose I get them? But I am in a little crisis right now, so if you help me then I'll help you. Let's meet at dinner and we can discuss it further. Where do you want to meet?

To Kelley:
Did you have some fun last night? You know there is another party tomorrow so I hope you aren't too worn out.

Looking at the time, Piper should probably meet Brent soon. She doesn't want to end up like her brother so she shouldn't stay out too late. Plus she was curious about what Brent did to garner Sydney's attention. Hopefully he didn't approach Jane, so it was good that she met him.

Sebastian was more than relieved when the long school day finally drew to an end. Even on a good day, he was mediocre at best when it came to academics. And so his lacklustre grasp of mathematics, paired with the constant pounding in his head - a consequence of trying to keep up with Jane's drinking habits - had landed him a detention with Mr. Sayers, the school's best (and strictest) teacher. True, it was probably Sebastian's fault for sleeping in class. But the way he saw it was: he's never going to understand the work anyway, so why shouldn't he be able to take a little nap instead of being forced to listen to Mr. Sayer's monotonous droning. Alas, the pug-nosed teacher didn't exactly see it the same way and so Sebastian had sat in the classroom, for an extra hour, and re-done the classwork. So when Sebastian was finally allowed to leave, he almost leapt with joy.

Downing a couple paracetamol to try and keep the headache at bay. Sebastian switched on his phone, groaning as the unnatural light did no favours for his head, and checked for any new text messages. Clicking on the one from Jane and quickly reading it, Sebastian raised his eyebrow a little at the brief message - he was honestly surprised Jane could remember anything from last night. Sebastian may have drunk a lot himself, but it was nothing compared to how much Jane managed to drink.

To: Jane
Last night was. This morning, not so much.

He sent the text, referring to the killer headache he, and most likely Jane, had. While his phone was still open, Sebastian received another text, this one from Piper. Sighing when she brought up the Young&Reckless photo shoot Sebastian had forgotten all about, he sent back a quick reply. Hoping that he wouldn't look so hungover tomorrow.

To: Piper
Yeah I'll be there, it'll be fun. Haven't really had a chance to catch up w/ u.

Sliding his phone back into the trouser pocket of his school uniform, Sebastian heads to his car, one of the only cars left in the school's parking lot since he was getting out so late. Getting into the front seat, Sebastian had decided not to bother with a driver today. And besides, he found that driving really helped take his mind off the dull pain. So, he turns the key in the ignition and sets off. Wanting to get as far away from the school as possible.

After a while, Sebastian realised he didn't really have anywhere to go. His sister and nephew were out at a playgroup and there was no way Sebastian was going to go back to his dad's where his step-mother and brother would no doubt be waiting to piss him off. Instead, Sebastian headed in a familiar direction, to a house he hadn't visited in a long time. It was stupid really that Sebastian was doing this, they hadn't been friends for so long but right now, all he wanted was some chilled, drama less contact. And who better for that than his old friend Lee?

Arriving at Lee's house. Sebastian debates whether this is the best idea. He didn't think Lee would bring up what happened, but he couldn't be sure. The Lee he knew wouldn't, but this wasn't the same person. They hadn't properly spoken in a long time. Lee could easily have changed completely. A couple minutes of internal conflicted ensued, until Sebastian decided that he's here already so he may as well give it a go.

Knocking hesitantly on the front door, Sebastian rocks on the balls of his feet, anxious, as he waits for someone to answer.

Jane was already situated in the car when she read Sydney's text, and if they weren't already headed towards her building, she would have quickly jumped back out and found Sienna. Fucking VINCENT?!?! She hoped that this was just Sydney's malicious side making up rumors to try to turn her against Sienna, because she really didn't Sienna needed that in her life. Vincent was too charming for any girl's good, but she felt like Sienna had finally broken free of her addiction from him. Jane knew that if this was true, and Sienna really had left with Vincent, things weren't going to end well. Vincent had proved that he couldn't do relationships years ago, and she knew that Sienna could not just do hookups with this boy. There was too much history there for something so emotionless. She needed to talk to Sienna about this in person, so decided not to text her about it, since they would be together again soon enough.

To: Sydney
Don't hate me :(

Thankfully, aside from the house staff, Jane was alone at the apartment. Her father and sister were out, which wasn't very surprising, but it was still a relief to Jane, who knew that she could at least get through a few more hours without being hounded about food. Her headache seemed to grow in strength when Sebastian's text reminded her of it. She tried to distract herself with getting ready. The thrill that set in when she snuck into Nicole's bathroom, using the only scale in the house to see that she was two pounds down from the weight she had left the facility at. It put her in a good enough mood that she had enough confidence to wear a sports bra and a tiny pair of spandex shorts to yoga, only wearing a thin zip-up to cover herself on the ride to yoga. A pair of jeans and a sweater were packed into her bag for shopping though, of course. When the headache refused to subside, even after an ice cold glass of water, Jane settled on an apple to satisfy her body. It was only 100 calories and she planned on sweating out enough water weight to compensate for it during their heat session.

To: Sebastian
Tell me about it!!! Round 2 tmrw though :P

Putting her late tendencies to shame, Jane was waiting in the lobby of her building when Sydney followed up her first text with one saying that she was waiting outside. The girls were all dressed in less revealing outfits than Jane, but she tried not to get worked up over it. She had lost weight, and that was something to celebrate. Besides, yoga was her favorite workout and she got into it enough where she would be boiling either way by the end of the session. She would have come close to that too, if her damn headache didn't interrupt her mid-session. At first, she took a few Aspirin and hydrated, hoping it would go away. Fifteen minutes in, though, her head was spinning and she was sure that she was going to pass out if she continued. So, mid-pose, she excused herself and headed to the bathroom, where she spent a good ten minutes sitting on the floor, trying to regain her stability, and another five minutes splashing cold water on her face. The dizzy spell seemed to pass, and she returned to the room and finished the session, luckily, without it happening again. When asked why she left, she claimed that something had gotten in her eye and her contacts were freaking out. It was one more excuse to add to her list, but no one questioned it and after changing out of her workout attire, they were on their way to 5th Avenue.

"What do you think I should wear to that party tomorrow? I've never been to a paint party, or whatever it is she's having," she asked, once they were in the car. Jane still had no recollection of her interaction with Hailey the night before and aside from their short meeting at the airport, she didn't have any real reason to not attend the party.

Lee spent most of his Friday reflecting. The first week of school had, of course, passed by as uneventfully as it always had. He kept his head down, kept to his studies, practiced, took care of his sister. Thing was...Lee was bored. More bored than he had ever been in his life. He was starting to blame summer on that. He'd branched out for once...partied, slept around, done drugs he'd never considered before, drank until he was spending the night crashed out on the bathroom floor.

Now all of that was gone. He was back to being good, unbothered, out of the spotlight. Part of him missed it. With Isabela gone, and Sebastian no longer in his life...well, he was down to no one. Lee was really beginning to consider making new friends. Especially now that Jin was older...she didn't need his constant supervision, and she had after school activities to keep her busy.

Which left Lee alone. On the upside, that made it completely okay for him to walk around his house in nothing but a lowslung pair of black basketball shorts and eat his weight in homemade ramen, but really, there had to be more interesting things to do with his life. He was walking from the kitchen to the livingroom when there was a knock at his front door.

Lee arched an eyebrow, stuck his chopsticks in his mouth, then opened the door with his now free hand. Sebastian. He blinked for a moment, looked between his old friend and his door, then stepped back and examined it closer before finally reaching up and moving the chopsticks so he could speak. "Sorry, I was trying to figure out how I opened the door to last year."

His phone went off then, a chirping from his pocket that made him once again stick his chopsticks in his mouth so that he could answer it. There was a text from Carolina, which made him grin despite himself. So, he wasn't completely out of friends.

To: Carolina
Holy. Shit. Ur joking right?

He shot another glance at Seb then sighed, grabbing his chopsticks again before walking inside his house. "Well, come in then."

Sebastian wasn't sure what to do when Lee opened the door. He had obviously been expecting to see him, but at the same time had kind of hoped that he wasn't home. So, instead of doing the normal thing and saying 'hey' or 'what's up', Sebastian stood their in silence and squirmed under Lee's sharp gaze. It wasn't until his old friend finally perked up and said something and Sebastian found himself being able to breath again. Even managing to smile a little at that familiar dry humour of Lee's. "Sorry this is kind of um - I mean - Sorry I didn't tell you I was coming over." Sebastian chokes out, stumbling over his words. If there was one person that could make him flustered it was Lee.

Sighing with relief when Lee moves out the way to let him into the house. Sebastian thought he might have just closed the door in his face - And he wouldn't have blamed him. Sebastian knew what he did to Lee was unfair, putting him in a situation like that and then ignoring him for years. Actually, he was a little surprised Lee hadn't just told him to get lost. But perhaps he had missed Sebastian as much a Sebastian had missed him. That thought calmed Sebastian a little as he stepped into the house that had once felt like a second home to him. "Is, um," Sebastian starts before losing track of what he was going to say and mentally kicks himself for being such a moron. Stop it, He chastises himself, Lee's gonna think you're such a weirdo.

Attempting to, once again, compose himself. Sebastian makes sure to keep his eyes trained on Lee's face, ignoring the boy's bare torso as he follows him into the living room. Oh God what have I done, Sebastian thinks as they sit in silence. How could this not have been awkward? Clearing his throat with a cough, he looks down at his feet, moving them about in his black boots before finally thinking of something to say. "You gotten any better at C.O.D or can I still easily beat you at it?" Sebastian asks, a small smirk forming at the corners of his lips.

After school, the two boys would always end up at one of their homes playing some kind of video game (usually Call Of Duty) and - Sebastian was never one for gloating but - after being beaten badly by Lee the first couple times, he'd decided to practice really hard; managing to get good enough to finally win some games. However, since Sebastian modelling career had seriously taken off, and he'd lost contact with Lee. He'd become incredibly rusty, barely playing on his PS4 once since him and Lee stopped hanging out. Not only that, but Sebastian found that when he played video games, he always felt a little sad. Like something was missing. Or more likely, someone was missing.

Being here, right now, with Lee brought up feelings within Sebastian that he'd struggled hard to keep buried. And he found that even after a long time, those feelings still remained. Which scared him. Not only because he wasn't one for real relationships but because Lee is, was one of his best friends and he's a guy! It was insane. Sebastian had to hide that side of him, he just had to. Going through what had happened with Vincent again would break him. Usually Sebastian was the sweetest, most easygoing guy but when he thought about Vincent and Lee and everything that happened, he felt stressed - and more than a little upset. He'd lost two best friends by being himself. He wouldn't let that happen again. How would Hailey react if she found out about him being bisexual? Or Piper, or Jane. God, he could never tell Jane and risk losing her. No, he'd keep these feelings bottled up inside and try to just be friends with Lee again. Try to mend their broken relationship.

Taking a moment to gather these thoughts, Sebastian places an easygoing smile on his face to hide the internal conflict going on beneath. "C'mon let's play, or are you too afraid of me beating your ass?" Sebastian teases, finding it so easy to slip back into their old ways.

Lee sat himself down on his piece of shit couch and focused on his food while he watched his old friend enter the room. It was odd, and awkward, and Lee wondered not for the first time how the hell they managed to get to this point in their life. Since when did he ever need Seb to tell him he was coming over? Or...not be able to hold a conversation with him.

Lee missed him. Lee missed him so much that sometimes it actually physically hurt. But he was still more pissed than anything. Sebastian had made his decision, Lee had just rolled with the punches. He could have fought, that was true, but...life took them in different directions and at the time being it had seemed like a good idea just to let go.

There were more than a few moments of complete silence while Lee ate his soup and Sebastian stared at his feet. He was about to sigh, ask if he should put on a movie or something, when the other male finally spoke. "Heh," he muttered, dropping his chopsticks in his bowl. "You wish you could beat me."

Actually, Sebastian had gotten pretty good before they'd split, enough so that he was an actual opponent and Lee wasn't just completely destroying him. But he kind of had a feeling that Seb hadn't played in a really long time either. Just like that, it was like they were back to old times.

Lee hopped off the couch and went to pull the gaming system out from under his tv, hooking it up with practiced ease before tossing one of the controllers back to Seb. "You want a soda?" he asked as he grabbed his dirty dishes and circled around to the kitchen. His place was small, so it wasn't hard to carry on a conversation back there. "Cigarette?"

He already grabbed himself one, lighting up and taking a drag before balancing it between his lips while he went to dig for drinks. It was another habit he'd picked up over the summer.

Piper got herself together then headed out of the door to meet Brent. Her phone buzzed just as she walked out of the apartment, and she shook her head. Seriously could Brent be any more puerile? She may have been wasted last night, but a condom was something she would never forget.

To: Brent
Of course not you dick! How could I forget a condom? You and Kelley are the ones who go at it like rabbits. Anyways I'm on my way.

Sure he made light of her crisis, and she couldn't tell him the whole truth, but she will give as much information as possible. Lucky for her the place she was meeting Brent wasn't that far, so least to say when she stepped into the restaurant she sported her shades to block the remaining rays of sunlight. She spotted Brent and quickly took her seat. "I see that you ordered. Oh and for your information the guy I was with last night wasn't a 'pansy'." Piper defended her one night stand. In fact from the little bit that she did learn, the kid's father was a lawyer and so was his mother. Did he say something about having a girlfriend as well? That was debatable because Piper really didn't listen to him that well. Before she could speak again her phone vibrated once more only it was Sebastian.

To: Sebastian
I know I miss talking to you! We can definitely catch up tomorrow after the shoot.

Hitting send she directed her attention to the waitress who arrived to take her order. A simple iced tea would suffice for her. Normally she would eat, but her sudden on set of stress wiped out her appetite. "Anyways I have a real crisis here. Something that transcends a broken nail. My parents won't give me anymore allowance and I have gone through everything they gave me already. But, here is the real problem. I have to throw a party next weakened and I have zero funds to do so. There is no way I am going to look like an idiot with a lame ass party. So I need ideas. Got any?" Piper ranted. Sure she could ask Jane or maybe Sebastian to help her out, but it would seem way too suspicious to ask for a large amount of cash this late.

Her phone went off again and it was one of her best friends Carolina. The two girls share one major thing in common and that is that they are both foster kids. It was really surprising for Piper to see Carolina at Constance. The girl was the same as when they first met several years ago during respite care. She really liked Carolina. She was like her polar opposite.

To Carolina:
I was looking forward to seeing you. Thomas was beaten up last night by some thugs and I had to take him to the doctor this morning. But don't worry he's fine. We need to have a sleepover or something to catch up. There's so much I have to update you on!

Piper was about to close her phone when she got an alert saying Tori had posted something on her gossip page. Piper clicked to see what it was and as she read her mouth dropped. Surely she read that wrong? "Pause! Did Sydney Vale sleep with Vincent behind Sienna's back?!" Piper gasped as she kept reading the post over and over. "Oh my gosh I knew Sydney was a lot of things, but did she have to go and check the hoe category as well?" Piper couldn't stop the devilish smile on her face. Just when she thought today was going straight to hell she got glorious news. "Can you believe this?" Piper laughed as she questioned Brent about the latest school gossip. This explains Sienna and Sydney's weird dynamic since summer. "I think this school year just got a whole lot more interesting."

To: Jane
What are you doing right now? Aren't you with Sydney and Sienna?

To: Sienna
Are you okay? I don't know if you have seen the rumor going around involving you.

To Kelley:
Holy fucking shit! Have you heard about Vincent, Sydney, and Sienna's drama?

To: Connor
Your girl Sydney is in trouble...

Sure Piper didn't like gossiping much, but this wasn't regular gossip. This involved her enemy and her friend, so of course she had to talk about it. plus it was going to be all over social media.

It took Maxwell a good fifteen minutes to pull up, and in that time, Jane had lost control of her tears and was grateful for the pair of Aviators that shielded her red and puffy eyes from the other 5th Ave patrons. She was growing impatient, so much so that when her car did arrive, she couldn't even calm her nerves for Maxwell, who she normally had a soft spot for. "I didn't expect you to be out so soon, I thought you said you were having dinner with your friends," he spoke with a chuckle. He hadn't glanced into the rearview mirror to detect her foul mood until it was already too late and she had snapped at him. "Just drive!" She would regret being so short with him later on, but for now she really did need to get home to her safe haven. She needed silence, and to envelope herself in her warm and fall asleep. Maybe she would wake up tomorrow and this would all be a dream. She would have her secret and her friends back, and things would be okay.

She so desperately hoped that Nicole and her father would be out like they had been earlier. She could deal with the house staff, who she would order to bring her bags to her room and then stay away from her for the rest of the night, because they would follow her instructions. If Adrian or Nicole were there, she was going to be expected to explain how her first day of school went, why she was crying and if she had eaten dinner yet. She didn't want to talk about any of the three, and managed to muffle her sadness down to only sniffles as she waited for the elevator to carry her up to the penthouse. As soon as the doors opened, she knew that she wasn't alone. "We can stay in and watch something in the theater, then!" she heard Nicole calling out, to who she could only presume to be her father. Her voice was getting closer and Jane could hear footsteps coming down the hallway. She darted into the living room, spotting one of the maids, Jihee, dusting the windowsill. "Tell my father and Nicole that I don't want to talk to them, and to leave me alone when you see them." She hissed, catching the woman's attention as she dashed past her and towards the other side of the room. It was when she remembered that the woman was the mother of a classmate of hers, and that she was one of the less bothersome workers in the house regarding her poor habits, that she turned back and offered a late, but well-intended, "Please." When her unspoken apology seemed to be accepted by the woman's quick nod, and Nicole's voice had silenced, Jane returned down the hall and towards her room.

The distraction had allowed her sadness to be put on the back burner for a moment, and she pushed her sunglasses to the top of her head, wiping her cheeks clean of the tears. If there was one thing she was thankful for in that moment, it was waterproof mascara, but even that couldn't rid her of her swollen, red eyes and sniffling nose when Nicole popped out of a spare bedroom. "I've been texting you all afternoon, Janie!" she was in a suspiciously good mood, but Jane didn't have the energy to bicker with her tonight. Especially not if her father was in earshot as well. "Don't talk to me," she muttered. She hadn't checked her phone since texting Maxwell, but even if Nicole had texted her before then, it wasn't surprising that Jane ignored them without thinking twice. She attempted to sidestep the blonde, only to have a hand thrust in her path and being so exhausted, Jane didn't have the energy to shove it out of her way. "Not so fast! I have a surprise for you!" If she says that she's pregnant, I swear I will murder someone. Jane was still convinced that her father would divorce Nicole as soon as he found a younger and prettier bimbo, and the last thing they needed was for something to keep her around once the marriage ended. Jane looked up at her with a defeated expression, willing to humor Nicole with whatever this surprise was, if it meant she could go to bed without a fight. Nicole was too caught up in whatever the surprise was too, because she didn't take notice of Jane's post-crying look and maintained her cheerful mood as she gave Jane a gentle push into the room she had just stepped out of.

"Meet your new roommate!" she exclaimed as Jane's eyes fell upon Carolina Daily, a girl from Constance that she barely knew. Jane's silence, scrutinizing gaze and slightly agape mouth demonstrated her reaction better than her words could have. "Well, she's not technically your roommate, but Carolina's going to be staying with us for a while. It's going to be so great having another girl to hang out with us when your dad's away, right, Janie?!" Up until now, Jane had forgotten that Nicole even had a sister. She passed by Carolina in the hallways at school and definitely had a couple classes with her over the years, but neither acknowledged the other's presence. It wasn't because there was bad blood there, but just because they weren't friends and were never going to be. Carolina looked awkward and uncomfortable but Jane was in no mood to be polite or welcoming and this was the worst possible time for a stranger to be showing up in her house. "You have got to be kidding me," she muttered, abruptly shoving past Nicole and out of the spare bedroom. This was the icing on the cake and even though Carolina hadn't done anything wrong, she was now going to be associated with this horrible day and mood.

She was too tired to fight with Nicole over a stranger moving into her house, but she garnered enough energy to slam her bedroom door behind her to make the point. When she collapsed onto her bed, kicking off her boots and tossing the sunglasses as far as she could, she allowed herself to break down again. It wasn't for very long and it wasn't loud enough to force Nicole to come check on her, but it felt like a release and she eventually rolled over and found her phone. Sienna and Piper had texted her, but there was nothing from Sydney. Jane was angry enough that she wanted to use it against her friend, but she also knew that Sydney worked differently than normal people. It was hard for her to apologize and often times, she would apologize in a way that wasn't straight forward, but Jane had learned to appreciate just as much as a verbal apology. So, she didn't text Sydney to rant about how bad of a friend she was being, despite how nice Jane always was to her. She was more inclined to text her and tell her that the Timberline Knolls thing was a rumor that someone had made up about her, but she didn't do that either. Her secret wasn't as detrimental to her image as Sydney's was, and she could leave it be for now. Only Sienna and Sydney knew, and she still thought that they were good enough friends to keep it that way.

To: Sienna
Please be friends with her again. I don't want anyone to fight.

To: Piper
Make them be friends again Pipe

She knew that it was completely unrealistic of her to ask Sienna for such a thing, after how everything had just went down, but Jane didn't know what else to do. She wasn't going to be able to handle having to choose Sienna or Sydney, and she knew that she wasn't going to be able to choose both of them either. Sydney had made that hard enough when they were friends, or fake friends, and now it was going to be impossible. Piper's text suggested that she knew what was going on too, so Jane didn't bother answer her questions but jumped to the same desperate attempt at pleading for someone to fix this.

To: Sebastian

Sebastian was beginning to relax as he sat on Lee's old couch, smirking at the boy's comeback. "We'll see." Sebastian retorts, trying his best to put on an ominous voice but failing when he laughs softly. Watching Lee light a cigarette, Sebastian's smile fades slightly - Since when did he smoke? Sebastian thinks, confused. It really has been a long time since they last saw each other. Looking at Lee when he's offered a soda or cigarette. "I'll have a soda if you've got one," He says before shaking his head, "But I don't really smoke." It's then that Sebastian receives an incoming text, and whilst Lee is still looking for the drinks, he quickly checks it.

The text was from Jane, and she seemed incredibly upset. Sebastian tries to think of what to respond, he had no idea what happened. That was until he received another text from one of his junior friends, telling him to check out a post about Sydney Vale. Skimming it, Sebastian sighs. Of course. There always had to be some kind of drama going on in that friendship group, and no doubt Sienna and Sydney had managed to drag Jane into their mess. Quickly composing a new message, Sebastian sends it to Jane, hoping she's okay. But he couldn't exactly leave Lee's now. Not when they're starting to get along again.

To: Jane
What happened? Do you want me to come over?

Of course he didn't want to leave Lee's, but similarly, Sebastian was never going to ignore a friend that clearly needed comforting. However, he may as well stay with Lee until he knew whether Jane even wanted him to come over. And so Sebastian slips his phone back into his pocket and turns his attention back towards Lee - who was still very shirtless, which Sebastian found rather distracting. Focusing his gaze on the arm of the sofa (it is all he can do not to stare at Lee), his thoughts turn to the party tomorrow, and whether he should go or not. He knew Hailey would be upset if he didn't show up, especially since they'd grown so close over the summer. And he was kind of looking forward to it; but he also knew Jane probably wasn't, and Sebastian would miss it to stay in and watch movies with Jane, if that's what she wanted.

Wondering if Lee was going, Sebastian takes a breath, before shifting his gaze from the armrest to Lee's face, keeping eye contact. "Hey, are you going to Hailey's tomorrow? It sounds pretty fun." Which it did - and a lot more laid-back than Sydney's extravagant party. Besides Hailey had said there would be body paint which sounded awesome to Sebastian. He so hoped Jane would be going, or he'd feel guilty leaving her alone.

By the time Jane calmed down, her satin pillow was stained with the mascara that was supposed to be waterproof. Apparently, a never ending stream of tears and having her face buried in her pillow voided that label. The fact that her chest had stopped heaving and she could open her eyes without wetting her cheeks was enough to distract her from the ruined pillowcase. This issue, what had just happened between her friends, wasn't a problem that she could move on from after an emotional breakdown, though. This wasn't her dad refusing to let her skip school for a trip to Bali, this wasn't even at the level of her father marrying Nicole. Sienna, Sydney and Piper were the girls that she loved like sisters and when she hated her own family, she had them to turn to. What was going to happen to that now? Sienna and Sydney's differences seemed irreconcilable. Sydney slept with Vincent, the boy that they all knew Sienna had loved forever, and apparently, Sienna had slandered Sydney on social media. It was never stated in the fight that it was Sienna who did it, or at least Jane hadn't heard that being snapped during the heated conversation, but it seemed obvious. There was no way that that post would come out minutes before Sienna confronted Sydney about the same thing without there being a common link.

Jane couldn't imagine picking a side between her two best friends. The reason for Sienna's anger was obvious and valid. Vincent was hers and it completely destroyed their girl code for Sydney to go after him. At the same time, everyone knew how much Sydney's public image meant to her. She had spent years building it up and taking her position at the top, and Sienna had just, at the very least, threatened that. Sienna knew how Sydney worked just as well as Jane did, and confronting Sydney at dinner probably would have been enough. Did she had to make that post too? Probably not. However, Jane couldn't blame Sienna for not being as complicit to Sydney's outrageous demands and expectations as she was. Sienna was too independent to be forced to quell her feelings, especially about Vincent - something she was so passionate about, just to appease Sydney. So, there Jane was, stuck between understanding both sides of the dilemma but unable to choose one over the other.

As if all of that wasn't enough, Jane had to face her own problems being out in the open now, too. It had been shocking to hear Sydney reference the facility she had spent her summer at, because even if they were skeptical of her whereabouts, how would they know that she was there? Out of every place in the world that she could have been staying at, how did they figure out that it was that place?! It baffled Jane, who was sure that she had done a good enough job at covering her disorder's tracks for the past few years, and even the past few months when it had taken on a life of its own.

The only people who she could think to blame this on were Nicole, or Hailey. Hailey Neilson had seen her at the airport in Chicago when they were both flying back to New York. Simply being at an airport thirty minutes from the facility wouldn't have given someone enough reason to magically guess she had been there, but maybe Hailey overheard the facility employee who dropped her off referencing it? It wasn't a very plausible scenario but Jane had to consider it. She wanted someone to blame this on, and she wanted that person to be someone who wouldn't go crying to her dad if she accused them of it. If it was Hailey, that still didn't excuse Sydney from how rash she had treated the subject, or Sienna, for apparently organizing that dinner with the intentions of grilling Jane on it. Sienna's text directly following the dinner had suggested that maybe it wasn't the cynical plan that she felt like Sydney had painted it to be, but Jane was at a point where she didn't know who to trust. She was used to both of them venting to her about the other, and it wouldn't have been too surprising if each tried to make the other seem bad to make themselves look better.

It was stressing Jane out enough that she didn't want to be friends with either of the girls if this was how it was going to be. An unrealistic choice for someone who relied so heavily on socialization, but one that she supposed she could stick to for at least the night. Besides, she always had Sebastian, and that was evident in his text to her. Normally, she would have begged him to come over so she could sob to him about the drama that just went down, but what if he knew about her disorder as well? Maybe he knew for just as long as the girls did, and was waiting to spring it on her at any moment too. Even if he didn't know already, how was she going to explain how exhausting the night was without referencing that? Sydney and Sienna drama was normal, even if it wasn't to this degree, and her reaction had been too emotional for this just to be about them. Jane wasn't ready to talk to Sebastian about her problems. Not because she didn't trust him, but only because she wasn't ready to talk to anyone, including Syd and Sia, about them.

Just please make them be friends again Seb

She needed to distract herself and the list of assignments that Charlotte reminded her of seemed like a good start. It took a bit of effort, but Jane eventually pulled her thick blankets away from her small frame and shuffled over to her desk. It was buried in the back of one of the drawers, but she eventually pulled out Othello. It had been one of the book choices for summer reading, and though she never remembered choosing it, it was apparently the one she selected. All she had to do was flip the cover open to decide that there was no way she could read that. She knew what Rodrigo meant, but she couldn't figure out that "Iago" was a name and not some unknown word, and that alone was a bad sign. She felt bad bugging Charlotte again, especially since she planned on requesting a copy of another assignment from her tomorrow, so Jane took the book out of her room and to Nicole. It probably wasn't the best person to request homework help from. Jane was the first person to point out how dumb she found Nicole to be, but she also assumed that maybe her unwelcome sister would know a thing or two about it. Nicole was standing in Carolina's doorway, and still unwilling and unsure of how to even approach Carolina, she turned to Nicole and held the book out. "Can you help me learn this?" She was trying to be nice because Jane knew that she needed the help and wasn't going to get it with an attitude. Plus, she really had dealt with enough fighting for the day with her friends.
