If one were to ask D4NGER, about his name he would decline to answer, but if one were to ask about his childhood he'd tell you that it was boring. He never found much joy in schoolwork and he was painfully inadequate with sports which meant that his free time consisted of either music class or video games. Where his sister was a blooming sunflower, he was an amaryllis, shy and waiting.
The Internet was his only escape, mainly because nobody had to know who he truly was. He could talk about anything from music to fashion to, in some cases, his home life. He started as a lurker on some forums (mainly dedicated to Nico Nico Douga), but as he became more comfortable, he began reaching out, posting threads, and even participating in voice calls. Around the age of sixteen he posted a clip of him singing as part of a tagging challenge and his friends went nuts. They encouraged him to upload a full song and after a lot of pressure he finally did so under the name D4NGER. Though the views came gradually, those that found the video praised his technical ability and personality. Singing online felt...good and the fact that people were recognizing him outside of NND was even better. Still, he kept his identity a secret from his family and the few real life friends he had. He didn't want those two parts of his life to cross.
Eventually, he took his college exams and was accepted into Tokyo University where he continued uploading videos and even dances. He felt more confident entering college and no longer shirked away from his peers. Friends came more easily as did the sense of fulfillment that was missing in his childhood. As his channel became bigger, he decided to expand onto YouTube and per viewer requests, masked streams.
It went as well as one would expect. Technical issues, stuttering, and awkwardness turned off new viewers and bred harsh criticism both on and off stream. After weeks of mocking he tweeted simply "D4NGER 終わった" before logging off. He confided in his sister (who responded with a loud "I KNEW IT!") before wincing with well, some regret. Rather than out him however, she simply smiled and gave him a pat on the back. In her words "you're never going to stand with giants if you don't get up." He took those words to heart and announced to the world (or at Utaite Twitter) that his next stream would be his big comeback. Fans welcomed him back with open arms and he broke into the international market. After an invitation and some encouragement from his online friends, he's decided to attend the Madness Music Festival and perform on stage for the first time.
Few have seen him without his mask on, and those who have, have been sworn to secrecy; however, there are a few pictures of him circulating the Internet and many say that he looks a lot like Kudo Kosei.
