"To Help, to Explore, to Protect." The Crimson Guild is a Pokemon run organization designed to protect the planet from nefarious evil doers, typically of the non-human variety.

Description

The Crimson Guild

Image
"To live, to explore, to protect!"

Appearance

Image
The Crimson Guild is comprised of Pokemon in all shapes and sizes, Pokemon of all types and abilities, and so on. When you come across a Crimson Guild member, they just appear as a Pokemon. Some wear scarves or trinkets of many types and varieties while others wear packs and storage pouches to carry items, which is fairly uncommon for wild Pokemon. However, what makes them completely different is they carry a special badge with them at all times. The badge is mostly white and circular with a crimson stone in the center and wings on either side. They will also travel in teams of two to five apiece and are rarely seen on their own.

Personality

Image
Their personalities are just as varied as their appearance. Some are mean. Some are nice. Some are class clowns and some are serious. It is safe to say that most of them will be very noble to the cause of the Crimson Guild or at least some aspect of it. It is also safe to say that most of them will display some sense of courage or bravery towards dangers (as part of the job requirement). But the one thing that unites them all is the banner of friendship. Everyone has everyone's back and no one will be left unguarded. Whether it's just two members or the whole guild, they will defend each other with their lives. Because when you mess with one of them, you mess with all of them.

So begins...

Skyla remained silent, her eyes looking over the map, yet not finding their way to Radegast. Although her look was crisp, her contemplative finger on her chin told everyone in that hangar office that she was thinking. Finally, she took a deep breath, flipped her hair back, and told it to him straight.

"It'll be hard. A long, turbulence-filled journey awaits both of us. No pit stops along the way. But...a promise is a promise. And I'm gonna make sure you keep this one."

As Skyva and Sophie made their way closer and closer to the clearing, the voices could be heard better. Whatever belonged to those voices were also speaking in PokeSpeak.

"Did you find anything?" a bold voice called.

"No." came the lax reply.

"I don't get it. What kind of power is this thing packing?"

"I don't know. Crimson said the one he took on wasn't nearly as big or powerful as this one. He's not sure what powers it."

"Do you think it's fire? The trees have scorch marks on them."

"Could be. But that's a lot of fire to completely vaporize trees like that. What could power it."

"Maybe they collected a hundred Fire Stones or something."

"I'm pretty sure it would take more than a hundred Fire Stones to create a beam this big."

When Skyva and Sophie had their eyes on the clearing, they could see the Pokemon the two voices belonged to. The bolder voice belonged to a Litleo while the more relaxed voice came from a Skiddo, both wearing blue scarves around their necks with a pink design on it. Neither had noticed the two newcomers spectating them. Both were staring at the clearing that had been made last night. In the daylight, the scene was incredibly vivid. The light illuminated the circle in the forest the Master Blaster had carved. It was carved at an upwardly diagonal path, so the cylindrical clearing it made slowly went up as it progressed further and further. The treetops were visible about a couple miles in the distance. It was a scene that could spark memories for Skyva and leave Sophie's jaw agape.

The Litleo turned to the Skiddo, sighing as he did so, "Welp, if there's nothing here, then maybe Team Vitality found something at the other site."

"I dunno," the Skiddo replied, "I think we should look around some more. We might miss something."

"No, you just want to eat the Unovan grass," the Litleo accused.

The Skiddo chuckled, "You know me so well..."

"Wait!" the Cincinno reached out as the girl took Dweller and Drifter and began running back towards her destination, "Maxin isn't..."

But she was already gone before she could hear the rest of what he had to say. The Cinccino was alone once more. Sighing in frustration and trying hard to keep the tears from flowing again, he closed his eyes and racked his brain.

Think, Liam, think! What would Maxin do?

For a moment, he didn't move. He just looked around and stared down the path he'd just seen the girl run down. And then he noticed something shiny beneath his feet. When he looked down, he saw that the girl had left the sword there. It reflected the light of the cavern and it was virtually undamaged. It was at that moment that he made a decision. He couldn't wait in this cave any longer. He had to take action. He had his strength back, thanks to the girl. He wasn't at a hundred percent, but he could at least make it out of the cave. From there...who knew? But he'd figure it out. Just like Maxin did.

His eyes suddenly becoming hard and focused, he strode on, picking up the sword as he went. He dragged the blade behind him as he went, making a rattling noise while he did so. It felt heavy in his hand for now, but he could learn to get used to it's feel. And then maybe...just maybe he could learn to use it one day.

But until then, he kept walking, making a right as he proceeded to backtrack his way towards the entrance.

Skyva could hear them and shoved Sophie behind a tree that was a few feet from the clearing. Sophie looked up at her annoyed by the sudden force. "Shh, I think these guys are from that stupid group that kidnapped me. I swear if I have to punt another pokemon..." She whispered.

Sophie covered her mouth, her eyes wide with amusement. "Now that is the Skyva I remembered." The Drifloon peeked around the tree. Skyva yanked it back.

"Stop.." She hissed before pulling off her backpack and shoved it in Sophie's arms. "I am going in. Stay here, if things get heated throw me my bag. I am taking MewMew with me." Sophie looked like a little girl again. Before the accident with her brother she was a sweetheart, but just like Skyva, she was entrapped with anger and depression. It seemed like she had grown out of it like Skyva, but it seeped out every now and again.

Skyva took a few breaths before showing herself in the clearing. "Did you two do this by yourself?" She asked as if she was a new comer and shocked at the sight.

Skyla gave him a curt nod, "No problem. Now, let's get ourselves up in the air!"

The Litleo and Skiddo jumped in shock at the sudden entrance made by the redheaded girl. "Human!" they both cried in unison, taking steps away from her.

"How did she get her without us knowing?" the Litleo turned to the Skiddo, "Isn't Sally supposed to be keeping watch?"

And then came the call from above, "Heeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy guuuuuuuuuyyyyyyyyyyysssssss!"

Both the Litleo and Skiddo looked up to see a Slowpoke standing on a tree branch above them. She was also wearing the blue scarf with the pink design on it.

"Theeeeeeerrreeeeeee aaaaaarrreeeeee huuuuuuummmmaaaaaaaaannssssss coooooooooooommmiiiiiiinng thiiiiiiiiiis waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" she shouted from above, "Hiiiiiiiiiiidddeeeeeee quuuuuuiiiiiiiccckk!"

The Litleo gave her an annoyed expression back as he spoke sarcastically, "She's right there, Sally. We can see her and she can see us."

Sally the Slowpoke turned her head ever so slowly as she took notice of her, "Oooohhhhhhhh..." was all she mumbled.

"In hindsight, it probably wasn't a good idea to let Sally take watch," the Skiddo pointed out, which earned him another dirty look from the Litleo.

"Just back away slowly," the Litleo instructed as he began backing up once more, "Maybe she won't attack us if we look like we're retreating."

Skyva was a bit confused by the behavior of these new pokemon. Her eyes followed theirs up a tree and sure enough there was a slowpoke up in the tree. She let a small giggle slip. It was one of the cutest things she has seen in a while. Her eyes went back to the two in front of her. Again she was confused.

"No no no I won't attack, unless you attack. Are you not with a group called the psychic rebellion something?" She asked. MewMew say on her non hurt shoulder.

"I don't think they are bad guys, Sky." It said.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you." She said softly. "I am here with a friend, Sophie come out please." She called softly, not turning her head. Sophie, Drifloon in one hand and Banette holding the other, walked out. "We are looking for a young boy a little taller than me. He has brown hair and brown eyes. I have lost him and extremely worried about him." A small frown took over.

All three of their ears perked up at the mentioning of the heinous rebellion. Skiddo was the first to respond, "She know about the Psychic Rebellion?" he said to the Litleo, "Maybe she knows about what happened here. Maybe why the Master Blaster was fired in the first place."

"Perhaps, Gunner," the Litleo was deep in thought, "I'm a bit more curious as to how she can understand us."

"She learned PokeSpeak at some point," he shrugged. "It's hard to learn, but not exactly impossible."

"Heeeeeeeeelllllloooooooo!" Sally waved slowly towards Sophie and her crew.

The Litleo stepped forward, reaching behind his scarf and pulling out a badge. The badge was circular and white with a crimson stone in the center and wings on either side. He presented it proudly to Skyva.

"We are members of a society known as the Crimson Guild. It is our job to defend helpless creatures, explore new and exciting places, and take down bad guys...especially those that work for the Psychic Rebellion." He put away the badge once more before continuing.

"I'm Booker. This one next to me is Gunner. And the Slowpoke in the trees is Sally." Gunner gave a nod to Skyva while Sally gave a wave, nearly falling off the tree in the process.

Booker had to think for a moment as Skyva mentioned Maxin, "Hmm...I don't think I've seen a human boy period. Have you guys?" Gunner and Sally shook their heads. "Sorry, guys. I'm not sure where he might be. But if it's not too much trouble, I have a question to ask you. You seem to know about the Psychic Rebellion to some extent. Do you have any idea what happened here?"

Sophie gave a small wave to the new pokemon and stayed back behind Skyva a bit, which just made Skyva confuse even more about the, but she ignored it and focused on the more important things. She gave them a happy wave and a big smile "Hello, so glad to have run into some good pokemon. All I exactly know, or remember, is that I was kidnapped by a Sableye and a Weavile and it seemed the leader was a Zoroark named Zane. And a Meowstic, was named Sonya...I think. They were after Radegast, a trainer. Apparently something happened between the two, but honestly I don't know what. That cannon thing is what caused all of this. I was so focused on saving my own pokemon, that it didn't sink in about the ones that were in the way of the blast. I know a lot are hiding in a cave around here and I was going to bring potions for them on my way to look for my friend."

Sophie looked between the two, it seemed Skyva was going back to her old self, in a way. Sophie could still see the darkness that lingered from long ago. In a way she kind of wished she didn't have to kill her, but she need not have to worry about that right now. Even with the sling on Skyva's arm, Sophie could tell she was still ready to fight. What she thought was funny was she always wanted to fight for the pokemon even though they could fight for themselves and it also hurt her to see her that way because in the end it was just like her brother. Could she possible kill the only person she knew personally that was almost like her brother. Sophie glanced at her Banette, Banie, he was staring at Skyla intensely.

Booker nodded, "Yep, sounds like you ran into the Psychic Rebellion alright."

Gunner was processing the information she was saying...specifically the name she'd dropped, "You said Radegast, right? He's one of Crimson's friends. From back at the PTA..."

Booker was also having an epiphany, "So Zane was after Radegast directly. And he picked a hell of a time to strike, what with what had gone down in Anistar."

"I think you should tell her what happened a year ago," Gunner suggested. Sally from above nodded in agreement.

"Right," the Litleo turned to Skyva, "Radegast was a key part in stopping the Master Blaster the first time. It was on the island south from the Unova Region. We don't know why, but Zane had lured the former Champion of this region, Emiko Touko, into a trap."

"Sonya may be a nasty Pokemon, but she's got some brilliant inventions," Gunner noted with a frown.

"It was Radegast and his Pokemon who helped Crimson save her," Booker continued. "He doesn't believe he would've been able to do it without him. I mean, we wouldn't even have this guild if it weren't for him. We owe a lot to that name."

"Since then though, Crimson's always been fearful that Radegast placed a target on his back that day by stepping in and saving them. This event and knowing that Radegast was involved proves he was right. He's always sent a team out to watch over Radegast, protecting him from the Psychic Rebellion whenever he needed it. Or at least that was the plan."

"Problem was, something really dark and evil came up in Anistar City that required the Guild's attention," Gunner said.

"Yep," Booker lowered his head, "We needed everybody to take care of that monstrosity. So we had to leave Radegast on his own for a while. And then...well, you know the rest."

"Yoooooouuuuuu oooooooooookkaaaaaaaayyyyyy?" Sally was staring at Sophie's Bannette, who had the most intense expression directed towards Skyva.

Booker ignored her, "Anyway, your information help solve part of the puzzle. They are after Radegast now, it seems. And we should probably send someone to guard him. Could you take us to him?" he asked Skyva with a genuine plea in his eyes.

Skyva listened and nodded, but honestly she didn't care what Radegast got himself into. She was worried about Maxin and Maxin alone. Sally made her look up and smile, she really like her, but her eyes followed Sally's to the Bannette, who was still staring.

"Can I help you?" She glared back at the ragged doll. He shook his head no and looked away. Sophie nudge him and glared at Banie also. Sophie's innocent face turned into an angry scowl. She didn't need him ruining a good plan, but Banie was getting anxious. He wanted revenge as soon as possible. Drifloon on the other hand was bored, there were no children around except Sophie.

Skyva finally looked back at Booker and her soft face became somewhat hard, "I get this is important to you, I really do, but my focus is on Maxin. Radegast made himself clear on what he wanted and I will respect that... as much as it makes me feel uncomfortable. The best I can do is tell you where he is going, which would be Alola, sorry that is all I got. Please please be careful though. Those pokemon have no remorse for those that stand in their way." She looked up at Sally, " and her, keep her super safe, she is my fav." She laughed, waving up at her.

"Woah!" Gunner the Skiddo's eyes flashed in shock and looked towards Booker, "The Alola Region? That's pretty far away, actually."

"Yeah," Booker agreed, "We'll have to tell Crimson when he gets back from whatever reason he went to Kanto for. I hear it's made up of four islands, so it's gonna be pretty tough tracking him down."

The Litleo then turned his attention to Skyva, "Yes, we will always keep our eyes out for those affiliated with the Psychic Rebellion. We know what we signed up for when we joined the Crimson Guild and we will continue to fight them until they are defeated. I promise you that personally. And this Maxin fellow...I'm assuming he's the one you're looking for? We'll keep our eyes out for him and come looking for you if we find him."

"Thaaaaaaaaannnnnkk yyyooooooouuuuu!" Sally grinned at the compliment, causing Booker and Gunner to grin as well.

"She's our favorite too," Gunner said to Skyva, "You can't help but like her and her upbeat attitude. She kind of keeps us together."

"I do have one more question, though," Booker's gaze turned serious, "You were here when the Master Blaster was fired the first time. Do you know anything about what happened in the second blast?"

"It was close to the tower in Mistralton City," Gunner added, "Not too far from Chargestone Cave."

Skyva nodded and thanked them, but Sophie was the first to react to Sally's thank you with a giggle. Skyva joined in on the giggling, but was astound to see Sophie happy. Like a true form of happiness.

Booker's seriousness made the air a little more tense, but she nodded at the first statement. "I was for the first, but I had no idea there was a second blast, wait." Skyva's pale face went even paler. Maxin was headed that way, she was sure of it. She scrambled through her mushed up memories to try and figure out if it was. She was certain.

Sophie watched up at Skyva. She had seen the dark side of Skyva before. She knew what Skyva was capable of doing if she got lost into that darkness again. Part of her wanted Skyva not to go back into it for pity and if she did, it would be a tough battle to kill her, if she wanted to even do that now. Banie, stared at her. His eyes slanting in a glare.

Sophie, tugged at her lap coat sleeve, "Be positive, Maxin is alive. You have to hold on to that hope okay?" That voice was foreign to her as well as to Skyva. It had been a long time since then.

Skyva nodded and smirked as much as she could, "Yeah," Her eyes never left Booker's face. "Can you point in the direction of the cave, please?" Her voice was barely heard.

Booker suddenly shuddered at the look of genuine despair on the kind lady's face. It rocked him to the core. "Uh...it's that way." He motioned towards the large hill overlooking the area. "Head towards the mountain until you run into Route 6. From there, just follow the path to the cave entrance."

"I hope you find him," Gunner threw in, his voice sincere, "Like Booker said, we'll keep an eye out for him and let you know if we find anyone."

She looked to where he motioned and nodded. "Thanks, you guys be safe and if you ever need anything, let me know." She tried to make her voice sound sweet, but her heart ached. She didn't want to find him dead. She didn't know if she could handle it.

Looking up she waved at Sally, a small smile edged its way out, before she headed in the motioned direction. "Come on, Sophie." Skyva said and made her way over broken trees and dabris. Sophie followed, giving everyone a wave goodbye as she herself climbed over the fallen trees. Sophie was finding it hard to grasp on to that anger and hate that fueled her here in the first place, but she saw that look on Skyva's face and couldn't help the feelings that were growing.

Banie, following close by, watched Skyva. He knew that Sophie might have a change of heart, but he couldn't let her lose her anger. He was going to have to take this battle into his own hands soon.

As they began to tromp off, Sophie right behind Skyva, Booker and Gunner exchanged a look.

"I really do wish them the best, y'know," Gunner said.

"Me too," was all Booker could reply with.

Sally came walking down the tree, approaching the two of them, "Thaaaaaat Baaaaaaaannneeeetteeeeee looooooooookeeeeddd rrrreeeeeeeaaaaaallll mmmeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaannnn..."

Gunner nodded quickly, "Yeah...I guess something about it's nature. Anyway, let's keep searching." He proceeded to nip at some of the grass growing around them.

Booker turned to look in the direction the two had taken off in, a hint of concern registering on his face. Yeah, that Bannette did look awfully mean...meaner than he was supposed to. He seemed to almost despise Skyva.

Well, if looks could kill...

Sure enough, the route appeared in front of Skyva, Sophie, and their companions, just like Booker said. As they changed course and began to walk down the path, they might notice that the time was late afternoon. The sun would be setting soon. As it was, it hung out slightly above the treetops from a horizontally level view. The shadows would begin to get longer, their environment obtaining a more orange hue as time progressed. Everything would seem much more vivid to them...especially to Skyva. The forest looked completely different in the day time. More features became visible to her. For one, they could actually see between the gaps in the trees around them, the occasional shuffling of movement from distant Pokemon providing their environment with necessary movement. It was much more quiet last night.

Whether the scene around her was serene or not was for the red-haired lady in the lab coat to decide. What mattered was the objective, which was visible to them in the path clearing. From where they were on the path, they could see Route 6 winding upward in front of them, heading towards a high hill. If they squinted really hard, they might even be able to see the mouth of Chargestone Cave. It would be sunset before they arrived.

Fortunately, there was another force ready to tag in for the recovering Lugia...

The Orks would be suddenly blindsided by another wave of Pokemon coming from the other direction. Just as varied in type make-up, this band of Pokemon were strictly wildings of many shapes and sizes, launching ranged attacks of all degrees at their foes. Leading this fresh charge of stronger Pokemon was the uncanny appearance of a Rapidash being ridden by what else than a Pachirisu with a spark of glee in her eye. Supplying support from above was the sparkling eyed stare of an Emolga, who unleashed his mighty battle cry.

"CRIMSON GUILD, HO!"

The Crimson Guild had arrived. Almost immediately the wave segmented itself into multiple teams of two, three, or four. Each team was enough to take on an Ork apiece. Their strategies came out and they began unleashing their own strategies upon the splitting Ork Forces. Some performed the divide and conquer technique. Other bull-rushed head-on into the opposing forces. As for the three leaders of the charge, they rained their own fire and lightning storm upon a hefty bunch, Electro Balls proving most effective for Pachirisu and Emolga due to their overbearing speed advantage they had over the Orks while the Rapidash sealed the deal with Fire Blasts straight from her engulfed muzzle. Their mood was surprisingly light.

"Missed one over there," the Emolga jabbed at the Pachirisu as he provided a follow-up Electro Ball.

"What? No I didn't," came her indignant reply as she shifted position on the back of the Rapidash, "Stop lying!"

"You sure did," Skyball replied with a wink as he tossed another Electro Ball to their right, "And that one, too."

"Well that's because you're distracting me!" Lumi shot back.

"Because you're letting yourself get distracted," Skyball recited one of their leader's favorite lines towards her. Lumi huffed.

"Oh, stop. I'm still ahead of you."

"How?"

"I got ten of them coming into the city."

"I think you're exaggerating."

"CAN WE FOCUS, PLEASE?!" the Rapidash had enough of the bickering. It showed with an angry Flame Charge directed at the mass of Orks in front of her. "You guys aren't even attacking anymore!"

"Rubira, this is important," Skyball replied as he picked up a disheveled brick and heaved it towards another Ork.

"Pretty sure saving the city takes priority over this little KO Contest you guys have going!"

The bickering stopped and the fighting resumed for a moment. And then Rubira interjected with, "Besides....I'm winning."

While the battle continued to be enforced in favor of the Pokemon, four Pokemon met in the center square, looking for the Lugia they had seen take the skies earlier. On the right were the dynamic duo of Pert and Meryl, the Plusle and Minun that grew stronger the closer they were to one another. Each fed off the other's charge, magnifying it tenfold until in encapsulated the entire courtyard. Pert had a permanent smile in his face while Meryl kept a concentrated look as she scouted about, her mouth forming a small frown. Keeping an eye behind them to make sure they weren't being followed by Orks was Tag, the fastest Turtwig who ever ran. Eyes keen and alert, he darted around, scouting out potential flanks and hidden alcoves where enemies could strike while keeping up with the group. The Power Boots he donned to wear helped immensely in this regard. And leading the group was the most enigmatic Pokemon ever. A standard Chimchar with an all too calm demeanor about him. He held a Power Bat in his grasp and kept a stance like he could be ready for anything anyone wanted to throw at him. And his eyes...his gaze was focused, but relaxed...not worried in the slightest.

This was Crimson.

"Hey, I forgot to mention at the HQ," Crimson called back to Pert and Meryl, "Good eye on seeing those creatures drop in."

"Wasn't that hard," Meryl played him off, "You see a number of fireballs descending from the sky and you go 'Huh...whazzat?' And boom...here we are."

The Chimchar chuckled, "One of these days, you're going to accept a compliment and when you do, I'm holding a festival in the Pokemon Village."

Meryl shrugged, "Cool. I probably won't show up."

"I see the Lugia!" Tag called from the Western part of the center of Lumiose City, peering down towards Magenta Plaza. There, the Lugia was nestled, recovering it's strength and preparing itse;f to hop back into the action.

Immediately, the four began running down the street and within a moment, was before the massive Legendary. "Greetings," Crimson spoke to Lugia, "We are here to help fight of this invasion. I've already got some of my team fighting off the Orks with more on the way."

"Over there! The Power Plant!"

It was only a team of three that would approach the Orks in the badlands, but a very capable three nonetheless. A Shaymin in Sky Form was descending from the skies, already tossing Energy Balls in the direction of Orks. From it's back stood a Dedenne, unleashing a Charge Beam in the same vicinity. Providing the flank was the bodacious Togetic, the prehistoric might of Ancient Power breaking into the ranks from afar.

"Let's rain down some hell on these guys!" Gambit the Togetic was saying as he felt his body swell in power from the use of Ancient Power.

"Team Vitality needs reconnaissance in the northwest area outside of Lumiose City!" Dee the Dedenne sent out an electrical signal from her whiskers to any Pokemon in a five mile vicinity. "Crimson Guild, repeat, Team Vitality needs recon in the Badlands!"

"Oi! Leg in you gitz! Boss wants all 'da boyz back to the power placey building!" A hulking Ork Nob shouted as the Orkz began to retreat back to the power plant.

As Orkz began to storm into the building the biggest hulking Komamndo Nob began to shout his order. "Listen up you'ze Gitz! I'z want all 'da Nobs 'ta gather scrap and snazz up your kits! Followed by the remaining orkz also roaring and taking up positions by windows. Armed with a plethera of Rokkits, Deffguns and a bunch of shoota's the power plant was now a small gun fortress with the ork numbers being in the double digits.

For the Kommando Nob, He began to head to the center of the power plant as the remaining boyz outside hurried indoors to saftey.

The fighting outside did not go un-noticed by the Luiga nor was she actively stopping her assault. The Lightning had done some significant damage to her and she was still weak but with the aid of the rain and the ground beneath her bulk. She could infact feel herself getting better and soon. she was not laying on the ground any longer. She opened her wings and shifted them and was about to take flight before she spied the four small pokemon approach her. Her head lowered just a bit as she inspected the four with a quizzical look on her face. These were certainly new...

'Any aid would be welcome in this encounter...I am still recovering as quickly as I am able. I need but a few more minutes until I can truly take flight once more. That human's lightning bolt did not do me any favors'

She spoke via telepathy to the four and laid herself down once again so she could be at eye level with them. They were so small and so fragile looking yet here they were on the field. How very brave and which elicited a nuzzle to each of them from the Legendary

'Where are the monster's now exactly?'

She asked, lifting her head to try and see over the city but failing to do so. She looked rather haggard at this point.

"Sounds like the rest are holing up wherever they can. Gonna be a bitch to root them out, especially with all that spray and pray," Terrance lamented. A girl on roller skates crouched with him inside the second floor of the museum, the other two blown to bits by what the invaders seemed to call dakka.

"Shit. Sounds like they took the power plant. The winds are unpredictable and there's no cover out there save for a couple of natural canyons," panted the woman who was spattered with blood herself. "This is why we settle our fights with Pokémon battles. Nobody has to die over this stuff."

"Can't hear you through the hangover," Terrance retorted. "Okay. We don't know if those canyons are foxholes or kill boxes. We need some sort of air support to occupy them and let a small team breach the perimeter. Got any birds that can deliver a pick-me-up to the big one in the center of town?"

"Lugia's sitting right by the Gym. Leader Clemont should be on scene right now along with his aides to provide support."

"So is this Clemont guy like the mayor or something?"

"Pretty much. He also has contacts in the regional government that can--"

"That's all I need to know. You skate faster than I run, so haul your ass to him and explain the situation. Maybe bring some medicine for the big one. Looks like the wild ones are organizing a strike force themselves. It's almost time for the final assault...we need everybody following the same game plan. It'd be a suicide run if we tried to take the plant now without doing something about those turrets. I may not be from around here, but I know how to fight a war."

Magenta Plaza - Lumiose City

Crimson gave a pat of reassurance to the massive Lugia as he answered, "I'm not entirely sure-"

"We've got 'em on the run!" a shout emerged from behind them. All four whizzed around to see a young Galvantula calling to them from the central plaza, "They're heading for the Power Plant."

"Thanks for the update!" he called back as the Galvantula continued chase. Crimson shrugged and let loose an easy smile as he turned back to the Lugia, "Well, there ya go. Ask and ye shall receive." He turned to Tag, his expression serious once more. "Tag, catch up with them and get a good look on what's going on there."

With a nod, Tag bolted down the street, fast as a blur. He was gone before anyone could count to three.

"Pert and Meryl, you guide the remaining members in that direction. Also see if you can get in touch with Sarik and find out how close he is to Lumiose. Guide him and the Sunrise Brigade towards the Power Plant." When the Plusle and Minun took off towards the Central Plaza, it was just Crimson and the Lugia remaining.

"Don't worry. Rest until you're ready to hop back in the action. We can handle these guys until then." Crimson reached into a pack by his side and held out a few Oran Berries for the Lugia to take. "This'll probably help, if you need it."

Power Plant - The Badlands

Tag was onto the scene in less than two minutes from when Crimson asked him to join up with the other Crimson Guild Members. About half of their original crowd were already there, viewing the Power Plant from the distance. Others were filtering in behind them, catching up from the directional advice Pert and Meryl were providing from within the city. A few had already spotted Tag and were spouting off information to him.

"They ran that way!"

"They're holed up in the Power Plant over there!"

"Every entrance is covered!"

Tag was also examining the building from afar. It was easy to do across the bare landscape that was the Badlands. Nothing but tiny sand dunes and the occasional large bush for cover. They were out of range from most of the bullets the Orks could throw their way, but they knew fire would rain down upon them if they got too close. And since Tag didn't know what weapons they were packing...best not to chance it.

He knew he could zoom through the canyon and likely make it to the Plant without a scratch. He was fast enough. But he wasn't strong enough to take out the entire legion by himself. They needed the numbers to hold any kind of threat against the Orks. This is just like taking down the Psychic Rebellion Stronghold back on Mohka... Tag realized.

And so he drew the parallel to that day.

"Right!" Tag stepped in front of the Crimson Guild, who was mostly there. All eyes turned their attention to the Vice Leader, more than familiar with who he was at this point. "We need a distraction to keep the Orks busy! Charging through the Badlands is a bad idea, so we're gonna take to the skies. Any and all Flying-Types need to hover around the Power Plant to find any entrances you can for us to exploit and keep their attention off of us. The agile ones are best for this job. Anyone who is confident they can do the same from the ground, I won't stop you from doing so. I wouldn't recommend it, though. I don't even think Crimson could dodge that many bullets." He made that warning clear for those brash enough to try and do the distraction bit from the ground level before continuing.

"Meanwhile, we needed a silent way to intrude. How many Ground-Types do we have among us?" A good number of members stepped forward. "How many of you know how to Dig?" Half of these Ground-Types stepped back. "You guys will be the first infiltration team. Make your way to the Power Plant by digging underground. You guys will try to find a way to sneak in or barge in, whatever needs to happen first. We'll be getting support from the Sunrise Division soon, guys!" Tag turned around and exhaled audibly before he began his charge through the Badlands, "LET'S GO!"

"CRIMSON GUILD, HO!" the cries of many Pokemon called from behind as they began to move. All the Flying-Types took to the skies and were upon the building within moments. They began to circle around, seeking an access point into the building and firing ranged projectiles into the windows and open doors where the Orks camped out. All the while, they taunted the Orks with their bodies and dared them to try and hit them with their guns. Those that could dug underground and began to make their steady approach to the Power Plant in secret. Those that were brave enough to play the dodging game from the surface were Tag, Team Volt (Lumi, Rubira, and Skyball) a speedy Frogadier, and a brash, but agile Aipom. None were faster than Tag though, as his blur of motion would prove to be the hardest to hit.

"Hey, where did Team Vitality go?" Tag called back to Team Volt as they began to get within range of the Power Plant's vision.

The three shrugged and began looking around. Of all the Crimson Guild Members around, one of their most Elite Teams weren't even present among them.

The Lugia nodded a few times to Crimson and looked up as the new arrival made their report of their location. She shook her head a few times and reached out with her maw to scoop up the berries with her tongue to eat. Taking in a deep breath, she rose up to her full height once more and stretched before letting out a loud cry, sounding like a singing whale to announce her recovery. The doctors whom were there spread away as the Luiga seemed to be almost fully recovered from the blast of Lightning. Her eyes turned down to Crimson and soon a psychic aura enveloped him and set him onto her neck so she could carry him.

Her wings beat hard, renewing the gale around them into a torrential downpour as Lugia once more took to the skies. She flew lower to the ground to make sure if the Chimchar fell off, he wouldn't be seriously injured.

'Hold on tightly'

She instructed as her rear fins went flat onto her back to streamline her body. She accelerated faster, the raindrops breaking upon her nose as she called out again into the skies while letting the rain soothe away her remaining wounds. Relieved finally, she opened her fins once more and circled around the plant, looking for something with which to gain entrance.

'This place is important...look for a way inside so I might gain entrance'

She commanded the Chimchar while she circled around the plant high in the sky. Down below the other wild pokemon would form a circle around the plant, waiting for the chance to strike. With Lugia back in the field, hope was rekindled as she sung to the crowds down below. Now all she would need to do is find them a way inside and past the Orkish defenses...if there were any at all.

'''Oi! Oi! Oi! In 'da skies! Flying 'fings! Dakka 'dem down! Fill 'em full 'o 'oles boyz!" An ork boy shouted as gunfire erupted from every possible window. Deffguns began to fire in a machinegun like manner filling the skies with bullets, Rokkits, rocket propelled explosives shot into the air three at a time which randomly exploded at times, along with the usual shoota gunfire from below.

It seemed that every every entrance was covered, but that meant that what few numbers they had left the inside would be sorta empty. However getting past the fortress of bullets would be the challenge.

Of course inside the power plant, small little grots began to pile scrap onto some sort of makeshift platform with energy random arcing out very unstably. "'Oi...boss, I'z 'it a snag...I'z forgot 'ow 'ta finish 'da Tellyporta pad..." The Mekboy scratched his head as he forgot how to finish the machine.

"'Oi you git...'dat I'z no snag...'da real snag I'z if it duns work by 'da time 'da pokeyman gitz get 'ere! I'Z GONNA SHOW YOU'ZE A REAL SNAG!" The ork brute shouted. "Uh...right boss! I'z got a plan! I'z came with a plan! You'ze gots 'ta but me lotz 'o time! I'z can figure it out!" The Mekboy nodded as he began to fumble with more makeshift machinery.

"Louzy Mekboy gitz...dey'ze don't knowz 'da front 'O 'dere gunz...I'z better 'ear good newz...or I'z krump 'da git myself..."

Finally, Terrance's luck ran out. One of the lucky shots the orks were hoping for got him in the leg. "Ahh! Fucking asshole! I'm not okay! Take this!" He uncorked one of his "bonus packages" and lobbed it at the machine gun nest. The resulting explosion caused one of the corpses to fall right through the street, revealing a dark corridor underneath. And were those...skulls in the walls?

"Oh my god...what the hell is that place?"

"That's the Catacombs. About 3000 years ago, there was a war, and..."

"History lesson later. Get everybody down there, it's great cover. Your Pokémon look like they can take a bullet or two, but I had to leave my super-suit at home. They gotta clean up the city, and then we can start tending to the wounded like myself. Everyone else, I know it's spooky, but we gotta get underground. Looks like the wild ones have a plan for taking out the plant. You find any bodies, just toss 'em down here."

Around the Power Plant...

Things were going about as well as could be expected. For all the numbers they had, only a select amount could make the approach to Power Plant unscathed. Tag was easily the first one, darting around with a mastery of serpentine and crouching low under the building entrances. Upon arrival to the base of the building, he gazed up, making sure nothing was aimed towards him, but it seemed like their attention was directed towards the skies for the most part. Another benefit of still being a Turtwig, he thought as he sneaked around, searching for an entrance to exploit. He could still be stealthy.

Team Volt was having a slightly tougher go of it. Rubira could gallop at a pretty intense pace, but she lacked in the mobility department. There was little to no fire directed their way, luckily, so it wasn't a problem yet. But she dared not get any closer to make spray and pray all the more difficult for them. While she rode around in a circle around the plant, Lumi and Skyball were flinging their own projectiles into the windows from afar. Most of them were Electro Balls as that proved to be the most effective source of fire, given their massive speed advantage. But occasionally Skyball would find a rock on the ground and Fling it at them...just to mix things up. A few shots would hit and lower the rate of fire considerably. One would even kill. But they were going to need a bit more firepower than that if they wanted to take them out from the ground.

Most everyone else had to stay on the far outside perimeter, throwing long range projectiles if they could and waiting for an opening to charge into the complex in.

Above the Power Plant...

The Flying-Types were doing their job. They received most of the onslaught of bullets as they swarmed around like they were in a dogfight. However, there was much concern in the lack of numbers they had doing this. A good fifteen of them were maneuvering through a swarm of bullets being fired by more than 3 dozen Orks. Their all-out "spray and pray" method proved to be easier to dodge, but it wasn't impossible. A Pidgeot was hit by a rocket blast, taking in about average damage from it while an Aerodactyl had to retreat from a couple wounds gained from a few bullets. They needed more support from the air.

Among the Flying-Types was Crimson riding on Belana. For Crimson, this was a surprisingly new experience for him. All this time he'd been a Pokemon and throughout all the adventures he'd been on with other of all types, he'd never been on the back of a Pokemon who could fly. A very rocky start at first, given he'd nearly fallen off when she launched herself in the air, but with the aid of the Psychic energy around him, he managed to hang on. Now he had adapted to his new surroundings and was fairly comfortable on the back of Belana...so much so that he could hang on with one hand and hold the Power Bat up in the other. It...almost felt kind of nice with the view he had.

Unfortunately, he was on a mission. He didn't have time to enjoy the new perspective he was adopting as he used it to his advantage by looking around the complex. Every window had a gun of some kind sticking out of it and firing bullets of all kinds. One was shot in their general direction. Crimson deflected it with the Power Bat.

"How about there?" he pointed within the Lugia's field of vision towards a door behind the Power Plant, "They don't seem to have anyone guarding that door."

Under the Power Plant...

The Ground-Types with Dig were doing just that...digging. Using their senses from below and their general knowledge of the earth, they continued to make their way to the Power Plant from underneath, not visible by or susceptible to any kind of firing from the Orks that were holed up in there. It was a longer process, but it was one that would pay off in the end to be considered an ultimate sneak attack from below.

- - - - - - - - -

Within the Power Plant...

Unknown to any of the active participants in this fight, three Pokemon were already tucked inside the Power Plant, sneaking in before the Orks had fully taken over and set up their defenses. They fantastic trio of Team Vitality were now scurrying along the inside of the building, keeping an eye out for anybody and trying to find a way to exploit from within. They dared not to strike...not yet anyway.

"You'd think they would keep this place secure," Gambit whispered as he hovered low, "I don't see anybody."

"They're all stationed on the outside perimeter," Dee said as she checked the corner to an intersection before darting across tothe other side, "It's a tactical blunder to leave troops lounging around while others do all the work. Now hush."

"Dee, I don't think these guys are one for tactics," Siena pointed out reasonably as she scuttled along in Land Form.

"Regardless, they reported no life forms inside, which is a lucky break for us." Dee said as Gambit was about to round the next corner, prompting a sudden yank on his left wing to pull him back. It took all his willpower for the Togetic to not cry out in pain

"Hey, what was that for?" Gambit winced as he rubbed his tender wing.

"Check corners," Dee reminded him for what had to have been the hundredth time as she hopped over him, peering around the corner before glancing back with a justified glare on her face, "See? You nearly got that Ork's attention."

"What is he building?" Siena peeked over the tiny Dedenne's head to watch. Gambit joined them.

"Unknown device," came Dee's reply, "Could be anything. Looks unstable." She was, of course, referring to the electrical arcs that shot out of the rough design.

Gambit was scratching hiss head, "I don't think it's a weapon. It's inside the Power Plant and doesn't look very mobile."

"A bomb, perhaps?" Siena suggested, "These things do seem to like destroying things."

"Negative," Dee was analyzing the makeshift parts, "It lacks explosive components and a trigger."

"Maybe they haven't got to that part yet?" Gambit responded.

'That will have to do...'

Lugia banked hard and flew towards the door, banking and avoiding the hail of bullets with a psychic barrier around herself. The rounds pinged and exploded all around her but they were a pittance compared to the barriers she would have normally put up for herself deep in the bottom of the ocean trenches she called home. She let out a shrieking sound as she dove down towards the door, opening her mouth to which a bright white light grew.

Then she fired her Aeroblast at the doorway, causing it to explode with a violent force, sending the door inward a few dozen feet within the facility. The Lugia then turned her attention towards the Orks in the windows. She knew this place was vastly important, but if she could stem the tide of bullets, she had to try to do something. Her maw opened as another beam shot forth from her maw and cut down pieces of the building with her mighty blast, absorbing some of the fire as she was now the biggest target

'Little one, I cannot have you on my back any longer. Hold on tightly'

The Lugia opened her maw one last time and another ray shot out into the building, punching a hole through it as she flew backward then dove into the opening. Within the dead ork infested hallway, Lugia was squeezed tightly before her form shifted and changed, growing smaller and less imposing then herself. After a few seconds, Lugia stood in her human form while dusting off the dress she wore while sighing heavily

"I suggest we get moving towards...well...whatever might be in this place. Lead the way little one"

"'Da lizard 'fing I'z sinside 'da building! Boyz get 'ta 'da hole in 'da wall!" An ork boy shouted as footsteps began to march across the power plant.

Gunfire continued to fire outside but it was noticeably lessoned as orks ran to the breach in the wall. For one Mekboy in particular he was hammering the construction with a shoddy wrech. "Oh zog! 'da gitz are in 'da base!...Oh wait...I'z 'fink I'z remembered somefin'! I'z remember 'ow 'ta finish 'da pad!" The Mekboy suddenly explaimed as he grabed a rather dangerious looking cut fire sparking with electricity and jammed it into the the machine.

The shoddy structure suddenly sparked to life as megaphones bolted on top of it began to suddenly work. "'Oi! 'dis 'fing on? I'z 'fink I'z on!" Another ork yelled through the megaphones as the massive pile of scrap on the platform was zapped away.

Unknown to the Orkz on the ground, an Ork Kruizer that was told to enter the sector of Rulla was busy getting prepared with guitars and arming their own Tellyporta pad. "You'ze boyz ready 'ta rock!?" An ork yelled in the ship and they got lots of rocking guitars ready.

The Mek with his job finished suddenly ran off behind a rather shoddy shack to do some final improvments for some boyz. The Ork Kommando Nob Began to hoof it back to the Tellyporta pad as soon as he heard the megaphones go off. There job was was done, but the rest of the boyz here were either too dumb to run or wanted to continue fighting...wel zog them all then!

Suddenly the sounds of Guitars began to sound as the boyz got ready for an epic WAGHHHH!

"'OI BOYZ! YOU'ZE READY 'TA ROCK! 'DEN GETZ READY 'TA ROCK!"

"That will have to do."

"Woooooooah," came Crimson's unsteady reply as the Lugia launched herself forward towards the door at full force. His stomach lurched in response, but he held on tightly as she unleashed her Aeroblast at the doorway, causing it to blast into the Power Plant.

So much for a quiet entry...

He preferred the sneaky approach, truth be told. There was always a secret backdoor solution to every problem and he was fairly decent at exploiting it. He wanted to save strength until it was completely necessary. That and had never measured himself up to be anything strength-wise against his opponents. It was the basis to his way of living and breathing and his method of thought towards anything. How to solve it with as little fighting as possible.

This was not one of those times, however. Fighting had been there since he and the Crimson Guild had arrived. There was no escaping the fighting. So now it was something measurable to quick thinking and strategy that had gotten them this far. All that was left to play to their strength was...well strength. Which they had ample amounts of.

"Little one, I cannot have you on my back any longer."

"Read ya loud and clear!" Crimson shouted over the noise and wind as he left the back of the Legendary, his feet providing the basis for his launch. A back-flip and a corkscrew for stability later and he was landing on his feet, spread apart and sliding across the sand from the force of his launch. He observed as the Lugia smashed her own hole through the Power Plant, scattering many a dead Ork into it's hallways. Crimson followed behind, vaulting the jagged bits of building that remained in her wake as he held onto the Power Bat. It held a tiny charge to it from the bullet he had deflected earlier, but that was nothing substantial.

Man, their weapons were weak, he thought. No wonder we could swarm them so easily.

He'd never been around guns like the weapons these Orks carried. But he'd hear enough through the wildings network that they were quite ineffective against Pokemon. And now that he'd experienced it firsthand, he knew it to be true. If there was a comparison to be made, they were like miniature Bullet Punches against his teams. Hell, he'd only deflected one of those bullets, but he may have been hit by three more. He couldn't tell since it felt more like rocks hitting his skin. He didn't understand their lethal potential outside of Ruula, but he knew they simply didn't carry enough energy in their arms to deal enough damage to Pokemon. It maybe held an advantage against the ones who could quite take Steel-Type attacks very well, but besides that...

"Never knew you to be the explosive type."

Crimson raised a brow with a grin as Tag appeared besides him, "You think I can cause a hole that big?"

"You have before."

"Wait a second..." Crimson's jaw dropped as he noticed the Lugia morphing, growing smaller and smaller as it did so. Her wings' large and graceful span condensed itself to skinny ligaments. Her feet grew smaller and were suddenly covered with six-inch stiletto-like boots that covered her ankles. And her face was morphing as well, taking on some long, wispy white hair that fell in the fullest of volumes to her legs. Her ears were elongated, almost a mirror copy of what her eyes used to be, but her irises were a shimmering gray. However, what caught his attention most was the fact that she had arms, legs, and no tail.

She had a human form.

Tag was in awe besides his best friend, "I didn't know Pokemon could do that!"

Crimson was quick to make an interjection, "Well...I'm human. Or at least I was."

"Yeah, but I'm talking about changing from a human to a Pokemon at will!" Tag explained, "You can't do that...can you?"

"No...at least...I don't think so." Now Crimson was in deep thought. Could he change into a human at his own will? Had he been able to revert to his former self at any point since he'd been a Pokemon? What if he had changed into a Chimchar completely by accident and just assumed he wasn't able to adopt his human form again?

Witnessing this transformation opened so many possibilities for him, opening his mind to so many solutions and scenarios as to how he was turned into a Pokemon to begin with. This could be the key to unlocking his past.

"Crimson! Focus!" Tag cried.

Shaking out of his spell of amazement, he returned to what appeared to be another wave of Orks descending upon them, one of which was aiming a massive fist towards his general body mass. With his years of training and his near perfection of his own fighting style, he leaped right to dodge the blow and retaliated rapidly with a strike from his Power Bat, which ignited into flames upon impact. He was surprised to discover how easily the flame-lit weapon blazed against the Ork's skin, causing the foul creature to erupt in a sizzling glow all around his arm and spreading quickly. He didn't focus on the screaming Ork for too long as he ducked under a wave of bullets aimed towards him and lunged forward. Thought instead of attacking, the blur of motion that was the small Turtwig caught him and the two went whizzing down the hall, beckoning the Orks to follow.

"Dude, we're totally in sync right now," Tag commented on the play, glancing back at the number of Orks coming after them. Since Crimson was the brightest glowing object in the room with his flame-lit tail, the odds were he would be leading most of them his direction. Which was what he wanted. The quicker he could get the enemy's mind off the Lugia, the easier time she'd have looking around and surveying the situation, likely providing a solution of some kind.

And then afterwards, they needed to talk.

The slowing of bullets aimed outward would prove to be a saving grace for the members of the Crimson Guild. Almost at once, they heard the reduction in fire as the source of fighting split between those who continued to guard from the outside and those who were battling the newer threats of the Lugia, Chimchar, and Turtwig.

"Their attacks are stopping!" a Buneary shouted from the left side of their group, "They must've found a breach! Let's go!"

"Wait!" a Flygon swooped on front of the masses and held up it's arms at them, "What if it's a trap?!"

"Then the bullet's would've stopped completely," a Snorlax from the back row called out.

"They're distracted!" a hyperactive Lilligant agreed, causing a few Pokemon to voice their favor of charging in.

"We don't know that," the Flygon continued to try to be the voice of reason, "For all we know, they could've been leading us on the entire time. Let's wait for Tag to get back before we do anything that could get us hurt too bad."

A few others in the crowd shouted in agreement to this idea.

But before any move could be made, the Buneary pointed towards the sky where her massive floppy ear was pointed and listening to something. "Guys, look!"

All eyes turned towards the sight in the sky. Flying together was a group of multiple Flying-Types in a super tight and clean V-Formation. These Pokemon also varied in size and shape, except they didn't even seem to notice. In the front of the V were two Pokemon with the same focused gaze. One was a Staraptor with a perky attitude and a strong mind. The other was a younger Honchkrow with a hesitant air around him, but a lust for the former that was noticeable every time he looked away from the ground and gazed at his partner in crime.

Peggy and Edal had arrived, the Sunrise Brigade in tow.

"Edal! Watcha got in your visuals?!" Peggy chirped, her fierce and unrelenting gaze locking onto the Power Plant.

Edal had to break his eyes away from her to examine the Power Plant on his own, "Hmm...looks like a couple breaches have been made in the back two corners of the structure as well as the rear entrance. Not a lot of defenses set up on the outside, but there's a lot of commotion going on within. Looks like we have the advantage in this scenario. Preferred method of approach?"

"Dive bomb."

"Dive bomb?"

"DIVE BOMB!" she suddenly cried as she folded her wings and began plummeting towards the ground at an insane speed, twirling all the way. Edal fell in right behind her and did the same. The other members of the V-Formation began forming the line, one by one, until it was a singular stream of Flying-Types darting towards the ground in one fluid motion. Not a feather was out of place. It would almost look like one bird approaching from the Ork's perspective as they drew closer and closer. Not that many of the Orks would be looking that far up.

That it, until it was too late.

"Sunrise Brigade...Spread 'em and Slice 'em!" Peggy's call was heard over the intense, rushing wind as she opened her wings and swooped up, flinging an Air Slash at a stationed Ork in one of the windows. The slash was so intense, it broke the window in the process of cutting through the Ork and it's weaponry. Edal was next, the same method of attack used as he flung his Air Slash at another Ork. And the next one. And the next one. Like a revolving firing squad, they attacked, flinging Air Slashes left and right at their targets, more than likely hitting and reducing the number of Orks they had by quite a number.

Meanwhile, Peggy kept the revolving door operating. She flew upwards and over, flying on her back above the other Sunrise Brigade crew and began to arc her trajectory down again. From the ground, it would look like a circle was being formed in the sky with a singular sharp corner in it's lower left side, where the sharp pinpoint turn upwards was being taken. The Sunrise Brigade could even perform tricks as they did the serious work.

Now Peggy had completely circled around and was right behind the last in line, ready to issue the next command, "Sunrise Brigade...Spread and Conquer! Take out all forces in the windows!"

And the circle was gone in an instant. The Sunrise Brigade split up in teams of two or three and began forming their own little V-Formations as they flew around the Power Plant, launching every attack they could at the Orks in the windows. Now that the Ork numbers were split, they would have little to no problem or resistance taking care of those who were stubborn enough to guard the outside.

And just as there was a breach above ground, there was a breach underground.

The Ground-Types found themselves an access point from below...a part of the Power Plant where the Maintenance crew worked and the repair team resided on standby. At least, when there wasn't a wide-scale Ork invasion threatening the lives of those in the town. No human was inside as a Drillbur began digging through the metal wall that led into the Power Plant from below. With little hesitation, it dropped inside and began to examine it's surroundings. The other Ground-Types filtered in behind him, finding the hole with the guidance of the others around them. Soon, everyone was inside, eyeing the computers and papers and looking for something important...mostly Orks.

A murmur ripped through the group and the Drillbur was suddenly tugged back by a small Cubone, who had alertness in his eyes.

"Careful where you step," the Cubone stated to him and all the Ground-Types around them as she pointed her bone towards the thick cord running at ankle height across the room, two explosives on each end. "They've set traps, it looks like."

Drillbur nodded, whispering a "Thanks" to her before stepping over the cord and moving further into the underground portion of the Power Plant, a greater sense of observance in his eyes. Everyone else followed suit, more keen to their surroundings. The Orks may not have been smart, but they knew how to set traps. Thankfully, the cords were thick and definitely visible to the naked eye, else there might've been a big boom from below.

Team Vitality's eyes lit up as they watched the metal scrap vanish before their eyes. They knew instantly what it was.

"A teleporter!" Gambit was the first to say it, looking at Siena for validation, who nodded in agreement.

"I think so. But why do they need one?"

"They're on the defensive right now," Gambit reasoned, "Maybe they're trying to leave."

"Again, it doesn't seem to be in line with how they think," Siena countered, "They're too aggressive to be retreating like that."

Dee's eyes widened as she put the pieces together, grabbing Siena in the process. "You're right. They're not retreating. They're bringing more troops in. We have to shut the Teleporter down!"

And the opportunity arose when the MechBoy disappeared into a shoddy shack set up nearby. If they wanted to take the thing down, now was the time. But how were they going to do it? Team Vitality approached the Teleporter and began looking for a way to shut it off.

"Maybe I have enough electricity in me to overload the Teleporter," Dee suggested and was about to place her hand on the device when Siena stopped her.

"No, wait! That could hurt you!"

Dee shrugged, "I'm an Electric-Type. I resist shocks of this caliber all the time." She readied her paws once more.

"How can you be sure? These guys have been using these devices we've never seen before since we got here. Let's shut down the Power Plant!"

Gambit tried to interject, "Hey guys-"

Dee raised a brow, ignoring the Togetic, "And bring darkness to the Kalos Region?"

"We can't just do nothing!" Siena rationalized, "And it would only be temporary until the Orks are gone from here."

"This is human owned, Siena. We can't just turn off a Power Plant without their consent. It's not right."

"Guys-"

"So you want to let loose hundreds of Orks into Ruula, then?"

"That's not what I said either. Just trust me. I can handle the charge."

"How do you know that what you're doing won't take down the Power Plant for good?"

"GUYS!"

Dee and Siena both turned to Gambit, who had a wide grin on his face. In his hand was the wire he'd watched the Ork jam into the machine earlier. The frayed part continued to spark as he held it a safe distance from his own body so as not to be hurt by it. Dee and Siena just stared in disbelief as they turned to where the wire had been cut with a Magical Leaf.

"I got it!" the Togetic said as he threw the frayed wire onto the floor, now useless. Both Dee and Siena sighed aloud.

"Since when were you one to do things simply?" Siena asked.

"Since I got tired of hearing you guys argue," Gambit replied nonchalant.
