Leviathan Base: Secret Headquarters of the TLA

"The original plan has failed with the Wing City Election cancelled our hopes of winning over Wing City is gone. But this Draco's actions have left Celestra City and Asteria City open to us. It is time to reveal our true self and take these cities as base for our Empire." Stated a Council member.

"Such actions could turn the Imperium's eye toward us... It would be best for us to work though the TLA as we have been have the TLA set up operations in both Cities. So far the Imperium has mostly turned a blind eye to the Actions of the TLA. We can also test the waters so to say to see how the Imperium reacts." Spoke another

A figure cleared her throat "In case you haven't noticed the TLA isn't doing well on its own to show the Terrans we could truly drive the Imperium from this planet...it was a bad idea to hide like this in the first place it is time that the Imperium know our true might."

"Very well the council shall vote..but it is up to the Emperess in the long run..."

"You're very right it is up to me...I'm though hiding under false names. No longer will I be known as General 13-7 but as Emperess Electra Price ruler of the Terra Nova Empire. Now prepare our forces."

The members of the TLA seemed to stop what they where doing as the TVs showed the Emperess Electra revealing the true nature of herself and the TLA.

"Well about damn time!" Priestess said before looking up at the sounds and people around her "What the hell is this? And who the hell are you? Troopers!"
A squad of TLA troopers burst in aiming thier guns at the Jinhai and the crazed man.
Priestess raised her own gun and spoke "Now by order of the Terra Nova Empire tell me your business here and how you got in."

Down in the Lobby Mysti looked a way from the news to see the ones she had been talking to had left. She sighed and was about to go back to work when she saw another woman waiting in the lobby. She walked up to her and asked, "How can the Terran Lib...er... How can the Terra Nova help you today?"

The cloaked Banshee landed a small squad came out of it and silently moved towards the door of the fortress.

"One life sign picked up sir. Just like the Banshee's sensors said Sir." The female engineer of the team reported.

"We are spose to be in Ridgecrest not here.." mumbled an annoyed trooper

The commander glared at the man " Cut the damn chatter and find a way in"

" Aye Sir" came a unison of four voices three male one female.

The squad moved closer to the fort the almost silent crush of grass heard as they moved.

All Jinhai stopped in their tracks overcoats billowing in some unseen wind. The three pivot turn in unison to address the question put to them unmoved by the threat to their person. Each gloved hand held at their side, listless. Mouths seen under bandages did move when they spoke but with a bare imitation of a 'face' hidden underneath. Firstly a momentary discussion ensued among them to evaluate the request.

"The Almanac indicates such a group is not under the purview of the Living Emperor."
"Irrelevant. All humankind is within the perview the Living Emperor."
"Stated group is inconsistent with a threat to humankind. No related affiliation dicta exist."
"Agreed. The request is permissible by humankind; group affiliation is of no concern."

Each used the same voice as the closest answered literally, "We have finished rekindling the humankind. We took your elevator from below."

Another pointed at the man's head describing purpose, "After rebuilding a body for viable thrones of mankind we must return completed humankind to your care."

Another raised the flat of hand as black dust leaked to shape a shadow dragon of black smoke to inform constraints, "Recent events tainted unused replacements. Our duties require destruction of fallen tainted humankind."

One then pointed to the elevator to specify their origin, "A stasis facility was constructed underneath this human construction to hold damaged thrones of humankind until they have completed rekindling."

Two behind the one that spoke gestured to the woman and the confused man, "They have been rekindled. The life of humankind now resumes. We have no further interest."

The closest cocked its bandaged head volunteering status updates from below, "Upgrades are in progress to permit more live but incomplete humankind to remain in aetheric projection until parts are available. 14 projection upgrades have been completed."

~~~
The man's terrified face darted to soldiers aiming weapons at him breaking his focus on the new tattooed legs. His eyes raced for an explanation and stammered, "I... was dead? Wait, wait, guys, I'm not a soldier! The prison tattoos aren't mine! I am... was... uh I am just a EMT! Please don't shoot me! I don't want to die again!"
A small child's voice peeped from a vent on the ceiling down the hall as Eileen stuck her white translucent head stuck through the grating, "Don't shoot the dark men!"
"Holy Hell..." Muttered a pilot
"It's the Shadow Legion... All units hold here... Contact command let them know a bunch of shit just hit a fucking windmill." Ordered the wing commander.
It had been safer here than out there, and it seemed others were catching on to that fact as well. Casren Bistreo had fled Windcrest City- who hadn't? With no sure trail towards no sure destination, the elder vampire had sought refuge anywhere he could. It just so happened to be a place that wouldn't let him all the way in.
"Stupid dragon, indeed," he said, hopping down from a rock and out from a shadow, "It would seem we have some company..."
It would seem that she was not alone. Oh crap.
"Please tell me you're with the good guys. Also, there's no way I'm going outside to check what that sound is. If it's Draco, then not even my Aggron would be safe from its flames. I ran here because I have a house in Ridgecrest and I'm not sure what's going to happen to it. At the very least, this is the safest place I could think of."
She sighed. Was the Terran League done for after this?
With the troopers in position he called out "We are members of the Terra Nova Empire we mean you no harm. Open the gate so we can talk."
Meanwhile in the Banshee the pilot received a message "Ridgecrest City under attack by Shadow Legion, Imperium on scene moving in to support them request backup from any Terra Nova forces in the area."
The pilot radioed the commander "Sir you are going to want to hear this..." She said and then patched though the message.
Nymeth the Shadowling turned towards the presence of the Grey Knights, squinting her pure black eyes as the shrouding made them but a blur to her less-gifted eyes. The rest of the Legion however, reacted as they would to any other threat; attempting to swarm and overwhelm anything they sensed moving. Many of the Simple Shadows and Hounds of the Legion lacked Eyes to begin with, and as their mouths cracked open in screams of agonizing fury they swarmed the Blessed Grey Knights like angry Bees or Fire Ants.
Most Shadows would be completely melted by the very nature of the Armor's Blessings and the Knight's own psychic powers, however those that were melted would eventually reform and continue their rampage along the city. In response to the appearance of the Knights, the Legion would send forth the Screaming Minotaurs.
Image
The screams, more Bestial than anything else, echoed throughout the city, their armor gleaming in the fires set by the Legion thus far and their swords oozing with Corrupting Shadow-y Sludge with which contact would begin to work to negate any Holy Magic and then begin to chew through most anything like acid before finally corrupting anything to the point where it would be unusable. If it fell on a human or otherwise body, that body would almost immediately begin to corrupt, the most fiery, intense, agonizing burning sensation spreading through the body's nervous system as fast as the synapses can fire under the heightened adrenaline most are likely already experiencing.
Each Minotaur would pause briefly, already towering over most Space Marines or at least equaling them in size and strength, their vision clouded by the Shroud of the Grey Knights. Enraged that their targets attempted to hide, the Minotaurs would begin to go berserk, charging and swinging their swords at the closest source of the shrouding that they could sense with their other primitive senses of hearing and smell.
Nymeth the Shadowling herself would begin gathering Darker and Darker Energy to her body, allowing her to clear her mind, and see the threat clearly before her. She didn't have the power to take on the Artillery or anything of that sort, and thus began to fear that she would fail. But the battle had only begun, and if all else failed, her Lord and Master Draco would make an appearance, and decimate his enemies like they were ants beneath his boot-heel.
Anything flying over Ridgecrest would find itself attacked from the ground by mighty Tendrils sprouting at least a hundred meters into the sky in jagged, unpredictable movements before swaying back and forth, reaching out to grab anything they could and tear it apart. They also would serve as a sort of buffer between the City and the Artillery fire, not only protecting the Legion, but in an ironic turn of events, the City as well.
Absent however were the Heavily Armored and Armed Basher Shadows which resembled Roman Legionaries, either Nymeth was saving them for later or did not have command over her own regiment of Bashers. Either way, their absence remarked the casual-ness the Legion was giving this Situation at the moment.
Anyone trying to enter the City would find the wall created by the Watchers and their Cloaks nigh impenetrable. Beady, pure white eyes stared out at the Incoming Guardsman in their vehicles as they approached the town; hundreds of tendrils lurching out from the cloaks to attack the vehicles and guardsmen without mercy. Each tendril as thick as a tree-branch, and as strong as a mighty oak at the least as they curled around whatever they could grab, and began to violently shake, lift, smash, and even tear apart anything in their grasp.
Things were getting interesting.
As the Grey Knights began to clear out the section of the city, the abhorrent screams of the Screaming Minotaurs reached their ears. A mass of corrupted flesh, weapons oozing of taint. The Strike Squad members, aware of how the creatures were simply mindless berserkers began to open fire with their Storm Bolters and Bolt Pistols as the creatures charged forward.
However as the creatures closed the distance the squad holstered Bolt Pistols and held their Nemisis-Force Halberds with both hands. The Squad would return the creatures rage like roar with one of their own, the Senior Captain raised his Nemisis-Force Sword into the air. "We are the Hammer!" He roared as the Grey Knights kept in formation as they charged the Minotaurs, the lumbering behemoths of the Shadow Legion.
Each Grey Knight was like the regular Space Marines they had fought before, despite being large their speed was superhuman. Using their Shrouding as the Minotaurs blind rage to exploit, and with the power of their Psychic powers enhancing their Nemisis-Force weapons, each strike would strike through cutting through the minotaur's flesh and armor while also doing their best to avoid the corrupting substance on the abominations weapons.
Meanwhile outside the City as Imperial Forces began to engage the enemy outside, Artillery sections wasted no time in spotting the enemy from afar. Earthshaker cannons began to shake the ground as massive siege shells, blessed by a priest were used to fire upon the mass of tendrils.
Lemen Russ Battle Tanks, more importantly the Vanquisher pattern of Lemen Russ began to open fire with their heavy Vanquisher cannon. Which of course many of the Imperial weaponry were now blessed to help better combat Chaos and the Shadow Legion. Aircraft in the skies began to scatter as aircraft were being smacked of the skies, turned into flaming wrecks before crashing into the ground. Thunderbolt fighters began to strafe targets of opportunity and Marauder Bombers began to unload payloads of bombs and their las-cannons.
Soon enough Guardsman began to disembark Vehicles as the armored advance was stalled and soon enough the battlefield was lit up with hundreds if not thousands of Las-guns and heavy weapons blazing their way. Tanks and armored vehicles alike were ocassionalt tossed about crashing into the ground. However the Soldiers remained stalwart. Commisar's barked their orders, Ministorum Priests began to chant battle prayers. And Guardsman all roared in rage as they began to fire at the enemy.
Finally, the Shadowsword. Far back behind the lines the engines of this Heavy Tank was shut down as the Volcano Cannon mounted on top aimed for one of the Watchers. This Weapon mounted on this tank was usually mounted of the strongest war machine the Imperium could field, specifically made for taking down massive 'Titan' sized enemies. A the Tech Priest chanted their blessing, the crew made all preparations until the Shadowsword fired the Volcano Cannon to then impact one of the many Watchers.
Of course, Vox Communications picked up a broadcast from the Terra Nova Empire. "Attention, this is the Imperial Guard. We are the 617'th, if you are offering aid then target the Shadow Legion. I repeat, maintain safe distance, don't get dragged lest they corruption claim you. This is an enemy Invasion! Emperor watch over us all!"
The Vikings took a defensive position near the Imperium artillery shifting to assault mode they landed as mech walkers. They dug in and opened up on the shadows with thier massive Gatling guns. They would keep the Shadows off the Imperium cannons or die trying.
The Banshees landed quickly unloading thier troopers before taking to the sky. The Banshees where designed for taking out ground forces using thier speed and cloaking to avoid the enemy attacks as they unleashed thier rockets and missiles into the Shadow Legion ranks.
The TLA troopers took cover where they could providing cover fire for the advancing Imperial Guardsmen and Grey Knights.
"They don't seem like they mean us harm, and I certainly don't mean anyone harm," Well, at least not anyone here, and not anytime soon. With age the old vampires hunger seemed to fade. Less of a pull. More of a longing. He leaned against a wall and gestured towards the gate.
"All right. I'll get the door, but you give them the how do you do." Muscles bulged under Jennifer's layered outfit as she wrenched against the heavy stone portal. Thews mighty enough to deadlift twice her own weight strained as she desperately wrestled the ancient controls, finally managing to turn the winch that opened the way with a series of heavy clanks, as if barely used stone gears were crashing against each other to work the venerable mechanism.
"Ungh! Hnngh! It...it won't budge any more! It's like it's designed to only open part of the way...pretty genius, actually. That way you force an enemy army into a bottleneck here. I bet there's all sorts of wicked traps that awaited people in this entry hall, too."
As a feathered mesotherm Flynn didn't register on many heat sensors let alone ones looking for life given the place where she was from. She'd wandered into this weird set of towns with people that liked lots of pets, or slaves, she wasn't sure which. There were some that were wild which she felt mildly bad for eating but it got hard to find prey animals that weren't intelligent for some reason. It's not like she had any money to buy food. A few tried to take her for their pet slaves but their little empty spheres didn't make good weapons tough they beaned her in the head at least four times. The small feathered Saurid just picked them up and ran off with them. Perhaps they were good for barter!
Then the shadows came and she knew a Child of Teeth when she saw one. Tall, immediately violent, with minions that spread through the town like a cancer. Flynn turned her fan-feathered tail to head toward the tallest mountain she could see then followed a flying metal boat she saw through the canopy. Her muscles burnt keeping up but leveraging her blood magic she could keep the boat in sight at least. Wherever it was going was better than staying in town! Though it still took time for her to arrive to the landing zone then find them once they stopped. Black-feathered saurian biped rushed through underbrush overlarge eyes a flat black with hunter's sight that revealed humans in their bright red color. The boat was hot too or at least some of the parts were a bright white.
She watched quietly from a bush, barely to the hip of your average human, huffing softly as her legs shook from the exertion. A reacher by trade, as much sense as that still made out of her home plane, she was well-trained for lengthy exertion. A faint nimbus of floating navy-blue hatch marks, letters in children's tongue, circled her hips. Legs bent close to the ground they circled around her as overheated springs still waiting to be employed.
When the gate raised she sprang from the bush forest green backpack held tight and webbed feet with their long-claw toes scattering a fount of dust as she long-strided behind heavy walls. The blood magic brought her to a run then into a sprint covering the distance even as it left cobalt blue drops in her wake from the exertion. Her black irises with blue veins folded in as she squawk-hissed at the two just outside the gate squirting underneath it with a mild duck. Hands held tight to her chest Flynn shot into the courtyard heading behind a rock instinctively seeking cover.
With a few titters and growls that composed her language she disposed of the blood magic. She didn't have much food and couldn't burn too much blood. There were high walls and she could still run but all the recent exertion made her suddenly very tired as the runes wore off. Pointed tongue panted through conical teeth as her ritualistic wounds closed up.
She muttered in her melodic language called children's tongue having barely any grasp of english learned while here, ((Stupid Children of Teeth I'm hungry and thirsty again, Thane. I have to find another human city to explore.))
She was too tired to see the girl that opened the gate let alone the other man. Flynn just panted and stared at the ground as a black segmented floating worm emerged from a bright blue port at the base of her neck. It clacked four quadrant-vane ends in some unspoken conversation to which Flynn just waved dissent with a webbed hand.
"A malfunction perhaps sir?" Suggested a trooper.
"Perhaps..." The commander said before turning to those in the fort. "I am Lieutenant Colonel O'Neill can I assume you are both from Ridgecrest City?"
About that time the two troopers outside noticed a strange creature approaching "Sir we have some sort of creature incoming."
"One of the Pokemon?"
The troopers moved closer to the strange creature guns raised just in case.
O'Neill turned to the woman in the fort and asked "You recognize this thing?"
In response, Jennifer whipped out her Pokédex. "If it is a Pokémon, it's not a species that's generally recognized. It was probably subsisting on some of the wild ones in the area and was attracted by the hubbub, judging from the blood stains around the mouth."
Wait. Only one life sign? Then was the man she was talking to...nah, that was just some horror story craziness. "Don't make any sudden moves. We have no idea what this thing is capable of, other than it was able to survive this long and find us here. Keep your guns on it and back away slowly into the fort. We can talk turkey in there. If it attacks, my Pokémon can buy time while you get an evacuation team ready. I'm sure there are some people still down there that weren't as lucky as I was to have found this place."
Most Banshees of the TLA Would fall under attack the moment they began to try to touch down to land. Stealth Technology or no, they caused a disturbance in the air that Nymeth the Shadowling would be able to detect, and send Shadows and Tendrils towards in order to attempt to kill as many TLA soldiers as possible as well as even drag the Banshee transports down into the Shadowy Abyss of their own Shadows to be converted into even more Shadows for the Legion. Cover would be of little help to any soldiers, as Tendrils and monstrosities of Shadow erupted from the darkness around them, screeching and screaming terrifying screams of agony and fury. Screams that rumbled the marrow of the bones of lesser mortals and filled the nightmares of both adults and children alike.
The Screams of their beloved Comrades and Family Members.
As the Guardsman exited their vehicles, they would be met with a hail of gun-fire from the buildings and from within their own vehicles. Shadow Commandos with rapid-firing Sub-Machine guns firing .500 Magnum rounds at a rate of 400 rounds per minute. The Commandos, twice as large as a regular human, were entirely silent, their movements, their breathing, even their footsteps as they moved from place to place, were completely silent. The only thing able to be heard were the sounds of their Sub-Machine Guns firing off their rounds in short-controlled bursts from always at least three directions at once. Then they would move to a new position and fire from that one as well, keeping up a never-ending, yet also seemingly random hail of fire from almost all directions towards the Imperial Guardsman. Those who perished would of course immediately begin to sink into their own shadows, and become one with the Legion themselves.
Draco himself was not involved directly yet, but he was watching over the battle. As the Grey Knights and the Screaming Minotaurs battled it out near the city center, the regular Shadows and Hounds swarmed the streets and buildings looking for anything they could kill and bring into their folds. Where that be Civilians, TLA soldiers, Guardsman or their counterparts, Pokemon, or even the common Sewer Rat. Nothing was left untouched.
Draco's presence would not be felt, nor would his influence be direct for now. The Dragon knew that if he were to make his presence known that the Emperor would show himself; and they would be drawn into a city-destroying battle that would ultimately do more harm than good for both sides. While Draco did not care of the casualties either side suffered as a result of the battle, he did seek to use Ridgecrest City as a staging-ground for his eventual Conquest of the entire Collenham Mountain Range, and eventually, Terra; destroying the city would be only a set-back.
His commandos however were effecient with their work; and as they never stayed in place for very long; it would be extremely difficult to find them, let alone engage and harm, let alone kill one. And due to their silent nature, they had their own, disturbing sense of intimidation because of the stark contrast to the rest of the Legion in its entirety. If ever cornered or pushed into a close-quarters fight, the Commandos would draw twin Duradaeden swords, swords that when wielded as expertly as they were by the Commandos, could cut through just about anything the Imperium, or anyone for that matter, had at their disposal.
They would prove extremely resilient, capable of losing most of their bodies before either vanishing or quickly regenerating before resuming to fight. Their psychic defenses were also quite high, as their own minds were both shielded by the Darkness present in Draco's essence, and the fact that they knew only one thing: Kill.
Commandos were, before being turned into what they became in the Legion, extraordinary soldiers or fighters; ones that many spoke of in legends or in bar-stories to this very day. The Legendary heroes whose tales of heroism and sacrifice end in suddenly disappearing, or meeting their fate at the hands of another warrior, better than them in almost every way. A stranger that comes from no where, dispatches them, and takes away the body with his Dark Magic. Commandos were "Recruited" by Draco. Personally.
The Imperial Guard forces under assault on all sides did not falter, each knew their duty and they served this duty well. Their duty was to push back the Shadow Legion, at all costs even if it meant their lives. Their duty was to defend Terra, and its people. And they refused to retreat to allow the enemy to claim the city for their devilish schemes.
Imperial Guardsman and Imperial Armor continued to open fire, despite the enemy Shadow Commandos, soon enough Imperial Stromtroopers began to hit the field. Or rather, they made their presence known. With Hot-shot las-guns capable of easily shredding power armor. These elite, and well trained soldiers began to focus of the Shadow Commandos with their own well trained skills.
Lemen Russ tanks continued to fire upon enemy positions, however soon enough more Varients of Lemen Russ Battle tanks entred the picture. Lemen Russ Punisher Tank, armed with the Punisher Gatling Cannon, a large, multi-barrelled ballistic weapon, it is known as one of the fastest-firing slug throwers in the Imperium's arsenal. It began to let rip upon the swarms of the Shadow Legion. With the amount of slugs being fired, the Shadow Legion would find their numbers being shred to ribbons with ease, even the Commandos with their unnatural agility would be hard pressed to survive for more than a second if they were caught in their sights.
Of course, even without the Emperors presence in the field, the souls of the soldiers that fell this day did not go to the Shadow Legion but to the Emperor himself. His presence a security for the soldiers, each one that fell they would go to to his side instead off being damned to the Shadow Legion.
Meanwhile in the centre of the city, as the Strike squad continued to terminate the Minotaurs they had succeded in their mission. "Execute Deep strike brothers. Beachhead is clear." The Senior Captain spoke as the arrival of more Grey Knights came in. The most deadly Marines that Draco's own lover had fault before and suffered injury that still afflicted her this day.
Grey Knight Terminators, all led by a Paladin. One that has survived the greatest trials, to become the greatest warrior in the name of the Emperor and for his brothers of the Grey Knights. Brother Paladin Pravius. Along with a contingent of four Grey Knight Terminators. For almost any army, this small squad could barley pass as reinforcements. However these warriors were veterans of hundreds of battles, possessed grand Psychic might, and with their armor that not even Titans can hope to kill them quickly.
The will of the Emperor made manifest. "To the righteous we bring hope. To the tainted we bring fire! In the name of the Emperor let none survive!" His voice roared across the city. Their presence an even greater pain to nearby servants of the Shadow Legion. Their target, the leader in charge of the invasion.
Of course they did not come alone, Grey Knight Purifiers armed with Nemisis-Force Hammers appeared along with Grey Knight Purgation squads and Interceptors accompanied by a Grey Knight Librarian. However the Paladin leading the Terminators began to make way to the Shadow Legion commander.
Flynn knew more english than she could speak and speaking of pokemon caught a whirl of her her ear tufts around a rock. The pokedex caught her eye and her irritation. More people throwing the little spheres at her!
A heavily fluted voice exclaimed out ire in a deeply fluted english as her bright blue crest flared, "NO! STUPID BALLS!"
The old vampire Casren chuckled from a wall further on, "I do believe our new guest is as much scared by our invaders as irritated by the habits of your fellow trainers."
Flynn quickly reached back and extracted a purple and white sphere from her pack hitting herself once with it on the head,"Not no choice follow food! I go into dark! No english!"
Her native tongue oscillated between fluted tones and guttural noises looking at the two guards, ((Rrgngh! I'm too tired running from children of teeth to cast tongues. Come on, we need to hide from the children of teeth!))
The troopers of the TLA where a stubborn and determined group. Outgunned, outnumbered it didn't matter they would fight on to death and beyond if they must. Even as brothers and sisters in arms fell the ever dwindling group of Terrans pushed forward with the Imperium tide.
Though depleted in number the banshee wing fought on there was good reason the Terra Nova command called the all female corps of Banshee pilots crazy bitches. Weaving though enemy fire they continued thier aerial assault.
The Vikings still held thier ground a line of defense in front of the Imperium cannons.
The commander then got a hail on his comm...
"This is Terra Nova Command. Message received. It will take some time to organize a full force but we got you a little gift. Enjoy. Command out."
A few seconds later a Shadow commando no longer had a head. An elite Terra Nova Ghost had arrived the psychic assassin an army to herself. The invisible killer with her high powered gun capable of blowing holes in tanks scored kill after kill rallying the Terrans.
"We are the Sons and Daughters of Terra! Stand fast! Stand strong! Stand together! For Terra!" Came a rallying cry.
"For Terra!" Came a chorus of voices.
"So the creature can speak... interesting..." Said O'Neill "and not a Pokemon it seems."
When the strange creature indicated that the group should go deeper in O'Neill shook his head "Don't think so Blue... We got a transport outside we need to get these civvies to safety. Ridgecrest City is a warzone and Shadow Legion forces could come here too we need to get the Hell out of here sooner rather than later."
O'Neill gestured towards the gate "Shall we go..."
Out there? Casren raised a brow, instead looking inward towards the impervious door. He had spent some time here, alone, inspecting the thing in his escape. Outside seemed dangerous, but if they could get through this door... He looked to the others, a feeing creeping across his shoulders and down his spine. He suddenly doubted any military force could penetrate through that door.
The Commando who found his head blown off would crumple into the ground, and the entire regiment of Commandos would suddenly shudder as they collectively learned of a new threat to their existence. After a few seconds the Headless Commando's body would suddenly launch into the air, regrowing his head before landing into a squad of Guardsman, his sub-machine gun roaring out .500 Magnum rounds as fast as it could; the recoil reduced to next to nothing by the strength of the arms holding the gun.
It was until the cloaked person made her presence known with a rallying cry that the Commandos didn't react to her presence otherwise. Each one she felled only getting back up, and becoming harder to shoot as they learned where she liked to aim, and how to protect that area of the body with movements or by moving behind something and thus blocking the line of sight. When the rallying cry was heard, the entirety of the Commando Regiment swiveled on their heels and darted for the source of the noise at inhuman speeds.
Most super soldiers could move at over fifty miles an hour on foot, they made that seem slow. Darting through crowds of soldiers, the TLA Super Soldier would very quickly find her position compromised, and if she did not relocate, she would be over run within seconds, and then systematically hunted down like a dog until she was killed.
As the Commandos took their leave from the regular battle to hunt down the TLA commando-woman, a massive Bolt of Lightning struck the center of town, and the ground rumbled as the sky lit up with fire. The air turned cold and shook before a massive thunder clap was heard, and before the Grey Knights stood another foe:
The Shadow Guard
Tall, strong, Broad Creatures, with skin ranging from Purple to Blue to Black, and even White appeared before the Grey Knights. They bore the Mark of their master: Draco, on the chest-plates of their Drakon-Forged Duradaeden. Females of this species of creature were tall, slender, and extremely beautiful, with supple lips and soft features that would make most human men fawn over them, however they were not here to protect or make friends with men. They were hear to carry out their Master's Orders: Drive out those who dare interfere with the expansion of the Darkness, and see that they will not return.
The Largest Shadow Guard slammed the end of his Raw Duradaeden hammer upon the ground, resting his hands upon the handle as he examined the battlefield before him. A mighty and glorious beard hung from his jaw, massive horns extended back around his head as his broad forehead made him only more imposing; pure white eyes narrowing. A tail lined with Spikes running up the center of the back twitched idly behind him, almost touching the ground with its length. With a grunt, the order was given, and the Shadow Guard went into the battle.
Many of them were Close-Range, Melee fighters, using their own Varients of Magic to boost their own abilities, armor, and weapons to match the Grey Knights in combat one for one. They were reserved in emotion and did not waste any movement; every strike lead to another technique, whether it be a block, dodge, parry, or another strike. One strike from their hammers could collapse buildings with ease, and could cleave and smash through dozens of normal mortal men in a single swing.
From the back, A female Shadow Guard chanted her Magic; Horns alight with mystic energies as the clouds overhead darkened further, and began to rumble with thunder and Lightning. A great Bolt of Lightning struck her Staff, the Crystal in the top glowing madly with White and Purple Light.
Lowering her Staff, her eyes flashed brightly and she finished her chant. Bolts of Lightning came crashing down upon the Artillery and Support Vehicles of the Imperial Guard as well as the TLA. These bolts, being magically charged, made a normal bolt of lightning seem like child's play. Each bolt caused an explosion equivalent to that of a 2000 pound bomb as well as creating a fire that would spread quickly. On top of that, electronics would likely begin to short-circuit or fry out as she drew any and all Electric power into her own body in order to channel it into her magic. Approaching her in any way, be it physical or through Projectiles, would prove to be nigh impossible, as lightning raced in arcs around her body forming a sort of barrier within which she would remain safe.
The majority of the heavy combat between the Shadow Guard and the Grey Knights would inevitably come down to who was the more experienced, and therefore who was the better fighter, as at the moment the Shadow Guard would be able to match nearly everything the Grey Knights could do in one way or another.
