"The concept of death as a sentient entity has existed in many societies since the beginning of history. In English, Death is often given the name Grim Reaper and, from the 15th century onwards, came to be shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe and clothed in a black cloak with a hood. It is also given the name of the Angel of Death (Malach HaMavet) or Devil of Death or the angel of dark and light stemming from the Bible and Talmudic lore. The Bible itself does not refer to "The Angel of Death"; there is, however, a reference to "Abaddon" (The Destroyer), an Angel who is known as the "The Angel of the Abyss". In Talmudic lore, he is characterized as archangel Samael.
In some cases, the Grim Reaper is able to actually cause the victim's death, leading to tales that he can be bribed, tricked, or outwitted in order to retain one's life, such as in the case of Sisyphus. Other beliefs hold that the Spectre of Death is only a psychopomp, serving to sever the last ties between the soul and the body and to guide the deceased to the next world without having any control over the fact of the victim's death. In many languages (including English), Death is personified in male form, while in others, it is perceived as a female character (for instance, in Slavic and Romance languages).
Santa Muerte is referred to by a number of other names such as Señora de las Sombras ("Lady of the Shadows"), Señora Blanca ("White Lady"), Señora Negra ("Black Lady"), Niña Santa ("Holy Girl"), and La Flaca ("The Skinny One"). Sometimes the name is listed as Santa Sebastienne or St. Sebastienne, ("Our Beautiful Lady Sebastienne"), as St. Sebastian was an early Christian martyr and is, among other things, patron saint of a holy death. Images of Santa Muerte are generally individualistic and personal. No two are exactly the same."

Description: Death, or the personification of death, can take many forms given that she is an Angel created to be more powerful than even the strongest of gods. Over the many eons of being in existence Death has taken on the persona of a young beautiful woman, mostly hispanic in the modern world, to guide souls into the afterlife. Both mortal and immortal; including a few gods who were unlucky enough to find their eternal existence not so eternal. As of now Death looks like a beautiful young hispanic woman with long dark hair, latina olive like skin, and a skinny figure. Always dressed in black to represent the all too familiar color of the demised or the unknowing mysteries of the eternal resting place of the soul. Though not all people are so lucky to see her in her beautiful form and my be so grieved as to see her as the ionic skeletal figure that history has always placed Death as.

Death is very much unlike the dreary and depressing figure that many have portrayed her to be. In fact she is very much more upbeat and full of energy, ironically, but one has to remember that even though she is Death that of course is just a Job. Unlike her Riding siblings she is an Angel that follows close to the plan and fate of all beings while at the same time trying to maintain free will for all beings as was the original intention of the Creator-- a perfect mix of divine fate and personal free will. She does not dislike The Creator and is not an enemy like Lucifer, The other riders, and the questionable Apollyon. The Four Living Creatures and Metatron being completely devoted and in love with the Creator. She as well shares a sense of humor with humanity and enjoys the manner of junk food mortals have created-- Mostly: Fried pickles, Mexican Tex Mex, Chili Dogs, Chips, and Soda.
Death has been around since the creation of all things and it is unknown who is older Her or the Angel Metatron who was created to be a scribe. Though it is known that she was there before living things in preparation for them. Though she wasn't necessarily the Angel of Death then but an angel meant to transcend the living beings until the rebellion of Lucifer. After the war in heaven it was then that she was given the role of the Angel of Death. Being around for the years of evolution on all the worlds and whenever a species died off like events such as: The meteorite that killed the dinosaurs, The worlds destroyed by dying stars, Nations committing genocide, The Great Flood, The Ten plagues of Egypt, diseases, and etc. Soon though she was referred to as one of "The Sealed," a group of the universe's most powerful beings that all had been sealed away from all other beings. Though being sealed doesn't always refer to a state of imprisonment but a state in which limits are placed. Though recently the Fallen Angel Mammon in his recent attempts of a sinister plan tried to bind Death to his commands, but instead only broke the seal that was placed on her. Setting Death loose on the universe once more.
