"Okay, well... Watch."
He reached through the opening near the wrist of the glove, and pulled on something. On the backhand side, the glove opened up, fully, revealing the melted down engine, and pieces of burned fiber. At this, he sighed, and pulled everything out, putting it on the far end of the table. Scrap. Next, he pulled out the moderate sized grappling hook, and set it to the side. Reusable.
"A small lever..." He grabbed one of the copper bars, and popped it into a hooked slot, in the bottom of the opening, and it clicked. Next he did that with a sturdier piece, further up towards the wrist. That also, snapped into place, but wouldn't move. "Look away." As he said this, he brought the mask back to him and put it on, and sparks flew, attaching two pieces of bendy copper bars to the frontal bar. When he finished, he lifted the mask up. "Bow done."
Rio looked between the whipcord, and the silk. Settling on the silk, he tied knots on each side, and slid them into small notches into each end of the 'bow'. "Line done."
One last piece... He went back to the back room, and came out with a much longer, finer rope of silk, and smiled to himself. To the back of the grappling hook he attached it, and to the base of the frontal bar he attached the other end. The back lever pulled forward, and grabbed the line attached to the copper bars, and he pulled it back. He also fed the finer silk rope attached to the grappling hook through a hydraulic reel, which would pull the the hook back to the glove, or the person to the hook, depending on the results of the shot.
He pushed the lids on it closed, and it all snapped into place with a satisfying click, and a huge, loving grin appeared on his face. "Piece done. And I have none to thank but you." And the grin shot in her direction.
